Been here once and referred it to my friends..back again last May 4 and they loved the place, music not so loud, food is great and the staff are friendly...kudos!
Food food, good place. Never failed to impress. Everytime I have friends and family who's going to our place at Pasig. I introduce Locavore to them and it never failed me.
The best, the yummiest..Wala akong masabi sa sobrang sarap ng food ninyo...Sarap balik balikan
great experience for us first timers! would definitely go back to have a taste of what else is on their menu! Sugpo con mayonesa was our famfav 👍👍👍must-try also is their lechon and oyster sisig plus the cucumber lime cooler. this place is worth trying!
We loved your service, creativity and innovativeness in making dishes. We will surely return and invite my loved ones and try different food from your menu. Keep up the good work Locavore! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. :)

Locavore serves Filipino dishes with a twist, something different!! My family tried Gising gising, Dinuguang Lechon, Lechon Oysters Sisig, Sizzling Sinigang, Kare Kare Wings & their Fried rice & steamed organic rice. Highly recommended for friends & balikbayans. Happy Tummy!!
Solid food!! Or was just lucky with what we ordered. But yeah, it wuz satisfying. I never knew that Kimchee Sinigang would work -perfectly too, and the mixture of Oyster and Lechon Sisig was awesome. The dishes were like..uh..It was like being in an episode of Master Chef or something haha. Cool yo also the Boneless chicken was great. Big servings. Even the rice. 5/5 would eat again.
Can't complain about anything, this place is highly recommended. Everything that I ordered was so random, but we enjoyed every dish. Two thumbs up!
Food was amazing. It was love at first taste. I never knew that Filipino food would taste even better.
Excited to come back here for their Sizzling Sinigang. And they didn’t disappoint! Loved all the food we ordered - sizzling sinigang, gising gising, mac’s chicken and Kalibo oyster. Ambience is great, tho too cold for me. It was a weeknight so it’s not too crowded. I should get myself a drink next time.
Fried Oyster Sisig, Gising-gising (chopped winged beans in coconut milk).
Third time trying this restaurant. Oyster sisig was good, it's clearly a different take on the classic pork sisig (usually made with pork's face). Just think there was too much of the mayo, and i'm not a big fan of mayonnaise. Nonetheless, very innovative. A real must-try. The gising-gising was not as good as i remember the first time i tried it at their Makati branch. It was lacking a little spice, and saltiness from bagoong (shrimp paste). But the version that i've tried in their makati branch was really good, so i think they just need to be more consistent with their dishes and make sure they have the same quality for each branch.
Personal favorites are the oyster lechon sisig and sizzling sinigang. I loved all of their dishes because there was so much flavor you can't eat them without rice! For appetizers, better not miss their salted egg gabi chips - so good, but so bad - though I don't mind feeling guilty about this once in a while. Definitely one of my favorite Filipino restaurants in the metro.
Filipino with a twist. Super love their sizzling sinigang. Food are very appetizing. Our balikbayan relative enjoyed the food and ambiance..
It was a very nice place and i will not hesitate recommending it to everyone. The food was spot on from presentation to taste. The wait was worth it and was just right. And super proud about this being a Filipino restaurant. It just missed one star from me because of one a little not so welcoming server but it wasnt much of a big deal. Nonetheless, we will surely come back to this place. 😍
If you're looking for filipino dishes with a twist, then Locavore is the perfect place to be. Their unique versions of our beloved pinoy comfort food like sinigang and sugpo sa aligue captivated our family. Hence, whenever there are special occasions, my mom always request for Locavore. However, for those who are on a tight budget or those who want generous servings, you might want to consider other restaurants.
Hesistant to try this restaurant but my boyfriend is curious for a long time so we decided to try it once and for all.
We asked for their best sellers and ordered it.
Sizzling sinigang- very innovative. Never thought I'll taste the sinigang without the soup and just the gravy. 5⭐ for me since I like the sour taste of sinigang and the beef was nicely cooked.
Fried oyster sisig- never tried oyster before and I know I wouldnt want to eat it raw. So we opted the fried oyster and it did not disappoint. It has a deep flavor that you would want to eat rice more with it. I think it is best paired with alcohol.
Pandesal pudding- we had ensaymada pudding in little flour and it amazed us so we want to do a comparison of what locavore has to offer. I had the first bite I was so into it. It was definitely a pudding and I like it. There's no way to compare it to little flour but in terms of price this is less pricey and pudding texture, dulce de leche are the good points for this dish. Not too sweet so you can finish the whole thing.
Watermelon mojito- my boyfriend loved it. Told me it was the best mojito he had so far. I must agree it tastes like watermelon juice with an aftertaste of the alcohol. It's hard to sip it using a straw because of the watermelon bits but overall it's a good drink
Verdict: Innovative in terms of filipino cuisine. A restaurant that will wanna make you comeback to try their other dishes.
Had dinner with two friends at this branch right after work. It's hard to say anything bad about this Locavore. Staff, ambiance, service, and the food were all A+. Our server (so sorry that I forgot his name) was very attentive. Safe to say that our water glasses never fell empty that dinner time. Points of improvement? I guess they can work on the lighting a bit. Lights here are just a tad bit bright, but this may be me nitpicking already.
One of the best modern Filipino resto I have been to. Mak's chicken is awesome. The Tortang Alimasag was a homage to the korean steamed egg! Pakbet Ratatouille was mindblowing! The Sinugbang Bangus stuffed with ensaladang itlog na maalat is to die for! This resto is lit!
We tried the famous sizzling sinigang. This is not you usual sinigang. We love how crispy the beans are and how tender the beef that it almost melt in your mouth. Worth every penny. You should visit them soon.
One of my go-to restaurants offering a unique twist to traditional Filipino food. You'll never go wrong with Fried Oyster Sisig and trust me its a crowd pleaser.
One of the restaurants out there offering the best version of Sinigang. Locavore has Sizzling Sinigang in their menu. We love how crispy the beans were and how tender the beef was. Also, the tamarind gravy was so good!
We also ordered Salted Egg Gabi Chips (Good for sharing), Fried Oyster Sisig and Boneless Fried Chicken.
Fried Oyster Sisig has a similar sauce with Sizzling Sinigang but still a good choice. Fried Chicken was just okay.
We ordered the Adobong Baka sa Gata, Sisig Oyster and Kare-Kare Wings. All of 'em tasted good. Not your usual Filipino dishes.
I would definitely recommend the sisig oyster💕 Good for families or barkadas.
My husband and I went there for lunch and we were completely blown away by the quality of the food. We ordered their famous oyster sisig and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. It was very, very delicious! Servings are a little bit small for the price, but the flavor of the food makes up for it. In addition, the ambience was very relaxed and not at all pretentious. I’d say it would be a good place to meet up and chat with good friends over delicious food. I’d go back to this place over and over again if I could.
Really big branch, compared to why they have in BGC and Kapitolyo. I also love that it’s so bright in here, vs. the dull ang dingy BGC branch which I don’t like.
Haven’t been to Locavore in awhile as the Bgc branch is just too cramped for me and they play the music just way too loud.
Anyway, enjoyed our food. Feels more expensive and it’s noticeable how much they increase their prices. They used to feel super affordable. The portion sizes are also not that much anymore. Especially the baby squid which I really enjoyed but there’s really not much on the plate.
This sizzling pandesal pudding of Locavore is to awesome! The contrast between the heat of the sizzling plate and the ice cream is just amazing.
Review as of March 2019
Locavore is a young, hip, and trendy take on Filipino food enjoyed by both locals and appreciated by foreigners visiting the country. The S Maison branch is the largest one with tall floor to ceiling windows with a good view of the bayside shops.
Though parking may be a bit difficult (or expensive) in this area, this is my favorite Locavore branch so far.
Here are the dishes I've tried, recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Street food Platter
- Tuna Kinilaw 🌟
- Chicken Tinola
- Oyster Sisig 🌟
- Sizzling Sinigang 🌟
- Gising Gising 🌟
- Boneless Lechon Belly
- Pandesal Pudding
- Leche Flan
One of my favorites for Filipino dishes!
This place serves all the good food that you want to eat. Our usual order are boneless chicken and the beef pares. I have tried their sizzling sinigang as well. Although their menu is really pricey, I can say that it'll satisfy your cravings and meet your expectations! I hihghly recommend this place! All foods are ❤❤❤❤😉 I had my 23rd birthday dinner here. Your money is worth the food.
I didn’t enjoy my first Locavore experience in bgc, but I decided to give this place another go. Vast improvement from the first time. The ambiance is much better and it doesn’t have that kulob feeling. It’s nicely lit and clean. The music is far better too, they’re playing something modern for once.
I appreciate the selection of pinoy craft beers.
We had the Ensalada ni Andres which was just ok, and the the bestselling sizzling sinigang and the short rib Pares which were both very good and delightfully flavorful.
Great dining experience. Customer service was good. Really attentive to your needs. The atmosphere was great. We love the Filipino Cuisines the street food platter was great. Would definitely comeback if I'm back in the Philippines
The food was amazing! It is a new generation of filipino dishes. I like their ginataang kalabasa with prawns & pork. Thanks Locavore, keep it up!
A take on the Filipino classics - this is what I’ve expected from Locavore and wasn’t disappointed. Really enjoyed their dishes and I loved ambience in the whole place. Their dishes are really tasty and there’s always something new to look forward to in every visit. Must try their other dishes next time!
Took my family to locavore for my brother's bday.
We ordered:
Gabi Chips
Sizzling Sinigang
Gising-gising
Ginataang Kaldereta
Lechon Oyster Sisig
Sinugbang bangus
Leche flan
Turon con leche
The food was good, as usual. The Sinigang is always a fave, and the leche flan is one of the best I've had.
But we had a few complaints. The kaldereta was 520 but only had 2 small pieces of meat. It was basically good for only one person. The waiters were nice enough but service was a bit slow. Had to ask for water 3x, and only got it when we were done eating.
Will always come back here whenever i’ll pass by S Maison. Indeed the best Filipino resto with its own fusion!! Dint forget to try their kare-kare wings because take note when I say it is really mouth watering!! Definitely worth the money!
We came in a bit late as we have to catch a movie after dinner, good thing we were accomodated immediately. We ordered street food platter as we are a sucker for fishballs! The wifey ordered garlic butter sugpo for main ulam, and kuya being concerned warned us that it might cause headache. And so we both prayed before taking that first bite. Hahah.
Im a bit disappointed with the street food platter, i think your mercatto street food are better than this. Sugpo is really good, the sweetness and spicyness are just right. Wifey asked me to cook my buttered gatlic shrimps like this from now on.
And of course zomato gold 2+2 drinks is one of the reason we came here. My wife got heraelf a mango mojito, and me being the conservative one got myself a samalamig. Will defintely come back!
The sizzling sinigang really is OMG!!!
Kare Kare wings is also very delicious! We also used Zomato Gold and I was surprised coz they already served the +2 together with the buy2 drinks not like other restos that you have to finish the first set before the frees will be served. The experience was almost perfect. The only downpart was we had multiple issues with our bill as 2x we were provided the wrong details and it took more than 30mins after we were able to settle.
Craving for Filipino food, from main dishes to street foods they have it.
I like the ambiance.
Servers are nice too
#yummypinoy #itsmorefuninthephilippines
Sizzling sinigang is my favorite! I really love the twist on every food that we ordered. We got Gising gising, Diniguan and Sisig. Their service is just a little meh. They responded with a little delay. The ambience is cool. I like the interior design, cool and classy.

Went here to bring our balikbayan friends as they were craving for Filipino food. Sisig oyster, garlic rice, avocado ice cream were the highlights for them! #musttry Locavore PH
This is one of the best restaurants I've tried so far. The place itself looked neat and well decorated. The service was just alright but the food was superb! Even my parents loved it. My faves would be the Chorisilog Omurice and the Sizzling Sinigang. The sinigang was soooo rich in flavor. We will definitely go back again... and again... and again!

Guava Strawberry Iced Tea Carafe (php210).
Tinola Chicken (php350)

Great spread. Flavours were quite inviting! Filipino fusion dishes. Staff were professional. Comfort rooms were nicely decorated.
Ordered the Grilled Bistek Omurice and was surprised by the serving size. It's good for at least 2-3 people. Also got to try their street food platter, oyster mangga bagoong, and Champorado ni Speedy. Everything is very well plated and also delicious! Amazed by how they were able to put a modern twist to local favorites.
Food is great. It is a bit pricey though.
The place has good ambiance, lighting and interior.
Love all the food that we ordered - sizzling sinigang (ordered it on my first try, too), lechon oyster sisig (crunchy) and roasted garlic rice. I'll probably come back again next time and try other dishes. 👍👍👍

It's not your typical filipino dishes served at home! It's my third time here and the service is a bit slow and had to make follow ups pa on our requests. But overall, food is great and has large sharing size for 2-3 persons. Sizzling sinigang is the best ♥️
This is my favorite branch in terms of ambience! Food was great, just like in other branches. Although, servings seemed to have lessened compared to those in the past.
We usually get their Oyster Sisig, Sizzling Sinigang, Mac’s Boneless Chicken, Kinilaw, Garlic Fried Rice and Boneless Lechon Belly. I decided to try their Mango Mojito this time but it’s not that good compared to their standard mojito :( if you’re planning to drink more, you can get buy one take one mojitos in other branches but not here. Sad.
I am sooo in love with their Sugpo con Mayonesa. The sauce is just amazing. And their sorbetes, to die for (tip: one order of sorbetes is good enough for sharing) Staff are friendly and the food arrived on time. This is one of my most recommended place.

Food was ok. Tried their boneless lechon belly. Pricy pero sulit naman. Try their calamasimojito !! Coming in ambience is modern chiq. Food is a twist on classic filipino
you can enjoy cocktails with friends using zomato gold 2+2 on drinks, nice ambiance, good customer service, we order mojito and frozen margaritas, place is good for family gatherings, reunion, birthdays etc.
I've been here twice and super favorite ko talaga yung Sizzling Sinigang and Chicken Kare Kare. I also claimed my free 2+2 drinks using my Gold membership here in Zomato🤘
I went here to have lunch before my brother and his family went back to Singapore. They had never eaten here but had heard good things about Locavore's food. It was Sunday, December 30 lunch time. The place was crowded but we were led to a table immediately. They had no more available high chair for my one year old nephew, but we didn't mind because we got comfortable seats.
We ordered singkamas mangga at bagoong, the street food platter, poqui-poqui, gising gising, fried oyster sisig, porksilog, grilled tocilog, grilled bistek omurice and iced tea.
We were surprised at how big the servings were, especially the silogs, omurice, and poqui-poqui. Each dish is good for two people, so technically we ordered a lot for four adults. :) We were able to almost finish everything though because we loved everything we got. We will definitely come back for the food. Also, I liked it that the iced tea is a house blend. One carafe is just enough for four people.
The service took a little bit of time though, and it seemed that the crew was a little overwhelmed. It was really hard to get a waiter's attention and we had to follow up on some requests. I'm not sure if it was because they had fewer crew members for the holidays or if this is normal. Anyway, better to visit Zomato and check the menu beforehand so you'd be ready to order when the waiter leads you to a table. No more waiting! :D
Food was really amazing. Indeed worth every penny. Their lechon oyster sisig is a must try. Beef is cooked to perfection. Will definitely recommend this to my friends.
Sizzling sinigang was superb! 👍 The sugpo con mayonesa was also satisfying. The boneless lechon belly lacks flavor. The oyster and pork sisig was also good. This was the first time that we ordered the salted egg gabi chips and it was unexpectedly tasty and yummy!
The receptionist ushered us to a table for 2 but we requested for a bigger table since we usually order quite a lot and we’re sure the dishes won’t fit. She was kinda snobbish but eventually gave us a high table good for 4 pax.
Our server was a guy who’s a bit serious but was nice enough to transfer us to a better seat when it was vacated and became available. He also assisted us to claim our 2+2 drinks on zomato gold. Super easy claiming, we were happy.
Love the food! We enjoyed everything we ordered.
Crispy Corned Beef Silog
Gising Gising
Sizzling Sinigang
Liempo Oyster Sisig
Puqui Puqui
Strawberry Guava Iced Tea
Update 6/28/19:
We came back to have late lunch and there were not much people dining in so it was a quiet rainy afternoon.
Sadly, they no longer have the Zomato Gold promo.
Their Porksilog was super good and the serving was so big! Their version of pork chop is similar to lechon kawali that’s thinly sliced. Yum! We got our faves, sizzling sinigang and lechon oyster sisig. It should’ve been enough but we were tempted to order the Lechon Mami. We weren’t able to eat that so we had it to go instead since we were too full already. Loved the street food platter! The sauces were so good!
🙏🏻among all the filipino restaurants ive been, locavore is and always have been my number 1..
lets start with how convenient it was to make a reservation especially at this branch since we all know its always packed with hungry pinoys😅
we were able to order beforehand(thanks ellen!) so when we arrived the food was ready❤️
the decorations, table set up,background music, almost everything was totally chill and neat🔥
now for the food:
👉🏻sizzling beef sinigang(beef was clearly marinated beforehand and was cooked perfectly making it easy to chew)
👉🏻gising gising(loved that it was veggies! and the “gata” tasted fresh as well)
👉🏻garlic&white rice was both cooked soft and a bit wet making it perfect for the filipino tongue!
👉🏻BEST GREEN MANGO SHAKE IN THE WORLD😂(srsly, ive tasted green mango shakes in more than 7restaurants, i loved the thin slices of green mango on top as well)
👉🏻BEST LECHE FLAN THAT MELTED ON MY TONGUE👅
❤️❤️❤️
good job and thank you Locavore🙏🏻
Have dined here twice already and really like their concept of filipino dining. They put twists to traditional filipino dishes. My favorite would be the sugpo con mayesa. I always crave for it. Its the best prawn dish Ive ever tried in the metro, but is also expensive!

Talk about delicious! I wanted to order everything from the menu. Since we were there early, we even tried the champorado for meryenda, then we went for the sizzling sinigang, TBPL (tokwa baboy pato and something) lumpia, garlic baby squid and my favorite oyster sisig. Went there hungry, went home tummies satisfied and longing to return. Ty, Locavore
Been thinking about Locavore’s Oyster-Lechon Sisig for weeks now and today I decided to give in to my cravings. That crispy and velvety textures that it has is so yummy! Extra rice please!!! The sizzling Sinigang is also a hit as always with it’s oh so good gravy. The tanginess is just right for me. The Kare-Kare Wings are pretty good as well and it’s perfect with a cold beer.
It's our first time to eat at Locavore S'Maison branch and we had a blast. Been planning to visit their Kapitolyo branch but it's just always out of the way. Been hearing lots of good reviews and can now share my own.
Location is outside the mall, entrance is between Conrad hotek entrance and Starbucks. We were greeted right away by the staff.
We ordered for Oyster sisig, ginataang kalabasa, and their lechon belly. Everything we ordered are so good that we would like to come back and taste their other viands. They are good for sharing. Ther lechon belly is a bit expensive though. Their ginataang kalabasa is served with 2 slices of pork chops (this is my favorite so far)... while the oyster sisig is a different kind of sisig we have tried so far.
Will definitely come back.
There was serious hype from my friends regarding this place, it did not disappoint but only the sizzling sinigang deserved the hype.
The place was nice and the staff were very accommodating, though.
The kinilaw was... ok? The fish was great but you couldnt really tell it was kinilaw, it was pretty underwhelming.
The tortang poqui-poqui, i wasnt expecting it to be a korean egg soup. It was fine. Good with the bread served with it. It was almost like a breakfast food.
All in all, it was an ok experience, given the price point of their dishes.
WOW!
Amazed how each dish was carefully crafted. We tried Fishball appetizer, Sugpo con Mayonesa, Sizzling Sinigang, Lechon Oyster Sisig, bangus sugba, green mango shake.
I craved for rice to pair with each dish. 😅❤️ The Rice platter was generously served!
The staff’s very attentive and would gladly accomodate requests. Great service!
Locavore has been making its name in Manila as a place to get seriously good Filipino food. I always see this restaurant being highly recommended for people who have foreigners or balikbayans coming over to visit, wanting to have a taste of what Filipinos have to offer. The restaurant's increasing popularity has enabled them to further expand their business and open another branch at Pasay's S Maison.
Every food is nice, nice plating.,but there is mis communication between food runner at the one who took order from us. Overall it is great experience. Great ambience .,but the table needs improvement. We have that black rattan table.
Locavore just opened another branch at S Maison. I’ve heard good stuff about this restaurant that I can’t wait to try it out! We tried their best-seller Sizzling Sinigang, along with their other specialties like Lechon Dinuguan, Gising-gising, and Kinilaw na Tanigue. I love the creativity and their refreshing take on the classic Filipino dishes. For us, what stood out was the Lechon Dinuguan! It was really goooood! 😍
My first time and definitely not my last! Gising- gising and sizzling sinigang are a must try and also their best sellers. I love how both dishes are presented on a small sizzling pot. Really cute. Sadly, I did not manage to take photos.
