Founded in 1985 by Shigemi Kawahara, who has been dubbed The Ramen King, Ippudo is the stage by which the famed ramen chef showcases his “tao” – the way of the ramen. This is centered on the philosophy of continuously innovating to remain true.oduced to him by Chinese neo-Confucian scholar Zhu Shunsui who became the daimyo’s advisor after fleeing the Manchu rule in China and seeking refuge in Japan.
Enough serving for the price 👍
Though serving time was a bit long but sure gonna dine here again
Ramen taste the same as the other ramen house we tried, nothing much to brag about. But everything's good. The ambience as usual is good, the crew were all attentiveness and nice.
Definitely one of the Top-Tier ramen shops around.
We ordered almost every ramen variety they have (Except the mushroom variant) and it's safe to say that the Tantanmen and Karaka ramen stood out the most. Shiromaru is pefect for those who can't do spice or couldn't tolerate the too intense tonkotsu broth because this variant has a creamy feel to it.
The meat is tender, literally no resistance when you bite and it's the perfect texture for me. Like any high-end ramen shops in the metro, you can also customize your ramen to suit your preferences (Noodle texture, spice level, meat part, add-ons, broth intensity etc.) which is a standard but all the more always convenient.
Condiments are available, the place is neat and clean in spite the bustling guests and no ending queue outside. The Staff were very attentive and accommodating (Maybe for the good results in the survey? who knows? lol)
The most negative thing i could say is the price. P495 for a ramen inclines on the more luxurious and pricey. I've tasted ramen on par with theirs that costs so much less so you have to consider this. As a Poor fellow myself, with the abundance of much cheaper options i may not go back here except someone treats me here.
Yes this should be on my Ramen list. Not on the top though but I still consider to come back here sometime again soon.
The Chasu meat is tender. We added a whole egg for an extra protein. The Tonkotsu broth is delicious. A bowl of Ramen serving is good for me and my baby already:)
Nice place!
I love that complementary pork bun before the ramen was served.
I like their soup base for their ramen. The gyoza is good and their karaage taste good as well.
Will prolly eat again ^^
the food was great! definitely one of the authentic japanese ramen house in the metro i will surely comeback here if we want ramen specially these rainy season! two thumbs up for the food.
First time 2 days ago and it didnt disappoint. These are dishes I ordered, my husband had another type of ramen and we were both satisfied. The salmon is to go to!! 👌🏻
One of my favorite Japanese resto! Always coming back for their Yokohama Iekei Ramen which has Paitan and Tonkatsu broth mixed up for a flavorful pairing. You guys should also try their Chicken Karage, crisp on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside.
Shimaru Special Ramen and Gyoza is a good match.
#ramen
Shiromaru, Akamaru, Karaka? all great! Personally i always go with hard noodles. You usually have to wait in line but it's worth the wait. Everytime I visit, I try a different ramen and so far no disappointments. Great service and very accommodating staff. Great choice if you are looking for quality ramen.
Their Ramens that are worth 500 php are worth it when it comes to toppings and flavor. Even their gyoza is one of the best I've tasted. Only con I can think of is when you ask for the most firm noodles is still not firm enough for me. The small ramen place, Ramen Kuroda beats them in that part. This ramen restaurant beats Ramen Nagi in overall quality of ramen. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed our meal here. Tried the Goma Q for the first time - Japanese sliced cucumber with sesame dressing. This was really good.
They forgot one of our orders however I truly appreciate the manager and 2 servers apologising, and it didn’t feel like they were forced to do it. They expedited our order and we got it in 5 mins.
It's our first time to dine here but it definitely won't be the last. They asked us if it's our first time, so the server guided us through the menu. We ordered the Akamaru Special, and the ramen itself is a no-brainer 5/5 rating. I hope our next visit here will be like the first one.
Their pork buns and fried chicken buns are really good. It's worth falling in line for. Most of the food are also delicious but they only allow the buns for take out.
i had a great dinning experience at ippudo, everything they serve is really great, if you are a first timer they can help you in splitting the ramen into two. i would really like to commend their customer service ( staffs are accomodating even their managers) highly recommended place to eat if you are craving for some ramen. i will assure you that you will have a smile on your face after eating here
I've had a great dining experience at Ippudo's Uptown Mall branch and it's good that the food is consistent with those here. While Ippudo is known for their ramen, I love them more for their good appetizers and ala carte dishes.
The Pork Bun is still fantastic; the braised pork belly laid on top of Japanese mayonnaise and enveloped in a soft, steamed bun makes for a great appetizer. I also recommend their Nanban Karaage, with the soft and juicy chicken pairing well with the tartar sauce, and the Torched Salmon Roll, where the melt-in-your-mouth salmon, creamy mentaiko mayo, and fish roe together create the perfect bite.
Bought akamaru special and their pork buns, broth isn't as rich as i wanted and i'm disappointed that you can't add more paste, the "hard" noodles are okay and the chashu is great but wish it was more charred. The pork bun was delicious, soft, tender and juicy.
Go to ramen place in moa complex due to the umami taste of the broth itself and the texture of the noodles, exceptionally service , the staff are very accomodating ,
Ambiance: 4/5 (nice and clean place.)
Food: 4/5 (their ramen is one of my favorite.)
Service: 4/5 (servers were nice, very knowledgable of their products.)
Price: 4/5 (bang for the buck!)
the best Japanese restaurant if you're craving for authentic ramen. good customer service. we celebrated the birthday of my husband here and it was a good experience. they even gave complimentary noodles and water for people waiting in the line. if you love spicy ramen, try Tantanmen. even the pork and chicken buns are exceptional. :)
My officemates and I make it a point to dine out right after we get our sweldo. This time we decided to get ramen.
I have eaten at Ippudo' SM Megamall before. Taking advantage of Booky's Buy1 Get1 promo. Now, I got to eat at their MoA branch.
Philip, our attendant, was very courteous and patient. He clearly explained the differences of each ramen. He passes by every now and then to check if we need something. Kudos to him!
I got the Shiromaru Special. The broth was very flavorful and not too thick that it would linger too long on my taste buds. The noodles were perfect!
The pork bun is still absolutely DIVINE! ♥️
Meat is tender and the bun is soft. So soft that you can actually tear it in half with your bare hands. Effortlessly. I had to do it since my officemates wanted to try it. Till now, I regret doing so. I wanted it all for myself. 😭
Their ebi sushi roll (totally forgot the name of the dish) is no push over. I recommend you order it too! ☺️
It was a great experience overall! Will totally come back fo sho!
As a certified ramen girl (lol), I've probably already eaten almost every ramen there is in the Metro. Name it, I've tried it... except for this one. A friend, who is a fellow foodie, told me that her favorite ramen is Ippudo's. Of course I disagreed. In my opinion, nothing beats Mendokoro. But whoops, I was proven wrong.
I tried their Akamaru Special and it beats Mendokoro's Tantanmen, which is my favorite btw. The Akamaru Special has the right amount of spice and flavor. It's very different from other ramens that I've tried. Char. The staff is also very accommodating, which is a plus.
I have relatively high standards when it comes to ramen. I know what I like and what I don't like. This one just raised my standards to a whole new level.
Ippudo is now my new favorite. 5/5 ⭐️
In celebration of 33rd anniversary, Ippudo offered us their original 1984 ramen recipe--Zero Ramen. They only serve 33 bowls of zero ramen per day as it was for limited-time only. So, you need to come early if you want to take a taste of this zero ramen. The noodle and the broth were perfect! You won't be disappointed! The best ramen I've ever had! The service was friendly and very fast. They make their own noodles and cook it fresh for every order. It's so good we will surely be back again before the promo run ends.
Their serving is huuuuuuge and it’s perfect for your big appetite. I’m always on the look out for great ramen places and this is a good try too. I was expecting for something better tho.
Their menu isn’t that extensive. You would really go here if you specifically crave for their signature ramens.
I find their resto a bit hot since they are near the mall exit and they don’t have a door. You might want to choose a seat that’s far from the resto entrance or near an aircon ceiling unit. :)

We went there on Sunday for lunch. There were 2 groups that came before us, but we were seated in around 5 minutes. The place is cozy but could have used just a tad more air conditioning. The staff is attentive and would immediately respond to requests. The food came in probably within 10 minutes or so after ordering. We got the Classic Okonomiyaki, Tantanmen, Karaka Special, Shiromaru Special, and Bottomless Lemonade. With my mother's senior discount, our bill came up to around P2465.
Out of the lot, I would say I liked the Okonomiyaki the best. The size is pretty small for the amount, but the pork is tender and flavorful, and the cabbage has the tiniest bit of a crunch. The Tantanmen is supposed to be the spiciest dish they have, but it would just be between 3 and 4 on Ramen Nagi's spice level for me. The lemonade is refreshing but would have been nicer it was more citrusy.
All in all, a great meal that I would have appreciated even more if it was just a bit less expensive.
Guess I'm lucky that there were no lines when I went there last week.
It was a hell of a week and I just wanted something to cap off the week and thought of this.
I ordered Yokohama Iekei and a side of Deep Fried Gyoza. I like the gyoza here better than other ramen houses. As for the Ramen, I like their noodles and their soup better than any ramen place i went to. Will come back here again soon to try other items in the menu.
Love the sizzling okonomiyaki. I ordered akamaru special and it was sooo good. I would like to try more and maybe bring my friends with me..
Ramen date! Perfect for rainy day! 🌧
I really love the ambiance and the crews are polite.
The Food is 4/5 coz i didn’t like the taste of the sprout thats included in my ramen. ( i’m not a fan of veggies 😂) but my partner love the spiciness of the ramen well balanced spiciness and of course PAO my new fave in ippudo! ❤️
I love Ippudo!! Started queueing at Megamall when they first opened and they are still my go to comfort food 😋. Latest dining is 2 weeks ago at their MOA branch. The ramen of course is great - that's a given. The pork buns however did not hit the spot. The meat was not tender and lacks the flavor that I ususally get when devouring a piece. I will try the other branches to make sure that this is just a mishap because I'll be super sad if they changed the recipe or the quality of my beloved pork buns decreased :(. We also tried their okonomiyaki. It was good. A bit salty for me and I feel like there's less egg. But it is really tasty. Pork used in the okonomiyaki was more tasty than the one in my pork buns. Other than that, still love Ippudo and will always come back.

Cold weather calls for Ippudo to get my cravibg fix for Akamaru ramen with a side of pork bun! Satisfied with my broth temperature this time around!
Ramen cravings! From batangas to manila and back to batangas again. Yes! For the love of ramen. I loved the ramen. The seasoning on the side is brilliant! You can make the ramen more spicy, add up pepper, sesame seeds and the best part... Freshly ground garlic. Yes garlic! I loved the garlicky taste with my ramen. Almost the same taste with the ramen i had in Osaka 3 years ago. Definitely one of the best japanese restaurant in this area. We also had gyoza (thank god for real one!) Tempura roll and grilled salmon. Everything is tasty! And of course.. The fresh mango shake. Nothing can beat the taste of fresh mango in the Philippines.
Service is awesome. Like they served the ramen one by one and what is amazing they know the orders too well and they gave the ramen to the person whom ordered it. Personalized service.
I would definitely be dine in again before going back to the sand pit. 😋😋

Dined here with hubby Allan Benedick Arguel for lunch today. Service was plus ultra! Food was great! Broth was very thick and had the right spicyness. The side dishes were also superb! Wasn’t able to finish my bowl though as the serving was very big. Highly recommended!
loved the sushiii!! and of course the ramen. I ordered the spicy one (not really spicy) but its smells so good!! and the meat, it's heavenly! One of the best I've had. Had a great time hanging out with my friends there. Service is good too
Not a ramen fan, based from my previous experience of not finishing my bowl of Ramen. But when we dine here, I really did finish my food. It tasted really good and definitely I’ll be back here once I crave for Ramen. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Staffs here are very nice, they'll deliver you the service you deserve. 👍 But as to the ramen, masarap sya, honestly, pero for me, equal lang sila ng Ramen Nagi. May mas gusto akong ramen kesa sakanilang dalawa. Haha! But over all, 👍👍👍👍!
I ordered a Shirumaru Ramen and I think this is one of the best Ramen I've ever taste. If I'm going to compare this with Nagi, I think they are almost just the same. When it's come to Broth na ginamit, wala akong masabi. First naghesitate ako since pricey siya, pero sa huli di naman ako nagsisi, Sulit na sulit para sa price niya. Worth it talaga. Me and my friends enjoy as well as the ambiance ng place. We should try eating again here and recommend to other friends.
Great Service, but the problem is there is only one Restroom for use. The food is good. Compared to other Ramen Resto, the pork is tender and juicy
One of the best ramens I had. The 400+ php you pay for the food is really worth it. I ordered a tantamen. I forgot what my other friends bought but I got a taste of it and it was good too. A friend told me that this is the closest you can get from an actual ramen in Japan. That's nice then.

By far the best ramen I had. I usually go for the spicy one so I also went for it in Ippudo. It wasn't as spicy as I hoped it was but it was so good. It won't be the last I go for ramen in Ippudo.
Ippudo is my #2 ramen place. I always go back for their shiromaru special and their pork bun. The line is worth it. It's a lot less crowded than Ramen Nagi, and it's just as good.
I keep on coming back for their shiromaru special!! Although the place would be way louder than you expect it to be, the service is pretty great. Ippudo is definitely on my top 5 ramen list!
Went here last night and ordered the Shiromaru Special (the one with chasu and egg).
Verdict is as follows:
Broth - it's rich, clean tasting, creamy, salty and a bit sweet, which was almost perfect but kinda lacks a bit of pork flavor which is weird because to have it that rich, they must've used a lot of pork in there.... Unless... Hmmmm.....
Noodles - think it was house made, thin but chewy, broth sticks to noodles nicely. No complaints there.
Chasu - The belly chasu was really really tasty(they serve you 2 slices of each. Belly and loin, which the loin is really forgettable). Simply the more you chew the more flavor you get. Really good. The only criticism I can give is that it should be a tad bit softer.
Egg - perfectly cooked
Overall experience was great. Servers were attentive and friendly. Orders came on time. Billing was not a problem even if the house was almost full.
Expect to wait to be seated when you dine out here there is usually a long line especially during dinner time, but its always worth the wait. Their ramen broth is good, plus the noodles are just right, pork is tender just the perfect ramen on a rainy day. Dont forget to order the salmon, it melts right in your mouth. Their staff are friendly and attentive, which is a plus for us. We will be back for sure.
Probably the best ramen and gyoza I've ever tasted. A bit pricy but the taste and serving compensates.
Serving was quick and great ambiance.
My friend invited me for a dinner here and we ordered Shiromaru Chashu, Karaka-men, Pork Bun and Gyoza. Both ramen were delicious. The broth was rich in flavor. What is unique with Ippudo is that you can choose your kind of noodle and its hardness which I really don't like because it took much of my time. Glad the staff was there to help me. Pork bun was deceiving on the picture. It was big there but the actual was small. It was delicious though! Gyoza was good as well.
Customer service was great!

It’s always a happy experience dining in at Ippudo for they have the nicest service and the most flavorful ramen broth I have ever tasted. Never was I disappointed once out of the three times I ate here. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars!
I always go back for their chiromaru ramen and torched salmon rolls, really two of my favorites. The staff were attentive, but felt a bit overbearing when we said we weren't new customers. Very helpful though and anticipated our needs. Will definitely go back!
Excellent service from the Ippudo Mall of Asia Branch. The ramen noodles were cooked according to preference and the broth simply took me back to Tokyo where I had my first Ippudo ramen bowl.
service 5/5
quality 5/5
cleanliness 5/5
speed of service 5/5
taste 4.5/5
Best ramen I had so far, definitely worth every penny you paid for. Considering the price point of their ramen, its quite pricey but the taste justifies it.
We ordered the akamaru special the broth is bursting in flavor and the meat is really soft and tasty. The garlic is there but it does not over power the overall taste of the ramen.
Will I go back?
Yes!!!!! So excited to try their other ramen
In my opinion, the best ramen I've ever tasted! The flavour of the broth is superb. I especially loved the thin noodles and how I could choose the way it should be cooked. Always love my noodles to be extremely soft. So Ippudo is the winner for me. Would definitely come back and try other items on their menu.
I cannot say enough good things about this place! My daughter and I dropped by spur of the moment for a "snack"😂. We had Torched Salmon Roll (for me)- a take on Salmon Aburi taken to the highest level with mentaiko mayo and caviar. OMGGGG! I just found my new favorite maki! You have got to try this! The flavor bursts in your mouth! No words! The baby girl had Ebi Tempura Roll, perfectly fried and drizzled with sweet unagi sauce and spicy mayo. It was gone in a snap! Now the only reason I am not giving this a perfect rating is that aside from those rolls and a few other items on the menu (salad, karaage) there was nothing more we could order; because, as some of my followers may know by now, I don't eat pork. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was great! Five stars! If only to taste their Torched Salmon Maki, I'd surely keep coming back❤️
Arrived here at around 7:30 pm on a Friday night. The place was jam-packed that’s why we were asked to wait. The staffs are very polite and it only took us less than 5 minutes to get seated. Ordered their Salmon Roll (which I so love), pork bun, shiromaru and akamaru ramen. The ramen’s broth is really good, it has the perfect balance of flavors. Their service was really good and our food arrived at a very reasonable time. Would definitely go back again.
Straight-up no bull ramen. The broth was one of the best in the business, noodles was perfectly al dente, egg was creamy and just yum, and chashu was melt in your mouth. I could eat up 2 bowls in one seating.
Saturday night ,payday weekend it just so happened that I have some foreign visitors living in a hotel near MOA.As I'm not a fan of this area especially on this dates.Dinner time my visitors asked me where to have a Ramen dinner I was asked what to recommend ,I suggested two brands,Ippudo and another popular ramen house.
As we arrived at the branch there was a long que.Always a sign that a restaurant is good.Tho the interior was bit too confined in my opinion. However the service was fast and very friendly.
I ordered the following:
Shiromaru Chasu- original house tonkotsu broth with thin noodles ,with pork belly and loin ,with soft boiled egg.Admirable stock not too rich just right.I picked the medium hardness of the ramen.Soft and flavorful pork cuts. Its comforting and pleasant to the palate.
The Torched Salmon roll, this is a bomb, from the pristine appearance to the taste and texture. I love the burnt edges effects and charcoally taste on the salmon complemented by the Mentaiko Mayo and seafood roe that was on top of it.An staple whenever I'm dining at Ippudo. Appearancewise the torched salmon here was not that attractive.
Some of my visitors told me that the taste of Ippudo here was a bit salty than in Japan.
But for me it's still a go.🙂
Ordered the Akamaru and Shiromaru for me and my sis. Both ramen - delicious 👍
Service staff are very attentive. My sister ordered their bottomless iced tea and never once, did we had to ask anyone to refill her glass, they just did without having asked to do so.
Definitely one of the ramen shops, I will go back to.
Ippudo is a classic in the ramen scene. My favorite part of each bowl is how hard the noodles are, and how they blend so well with each ingredient served.
The MOA branch features a lot of wooden elements -- making it feel like a large, homey dining area tucked within the hustle and bustle of Pasay's crowded business district.
P.S. Don't forget to grab a pork bun (or two) on your way out.
Best ramen that i've ever tasted!! Super worth the price even though it's expensive. I ordered the Karaka special and the taste is sooo yummy! I even tasted what my friends ordered (special ramen) and they're all delicious!
Craving for ramen lead us to visiting Ippudo where I was finally able to try their ramen. We came starving so the wait for us to be seated felt like hours but it was worth it.
I had the Akamaru Chashu and we shared their Okonomiyaki while my brother had the Yokohama Iekei. The broth was thick and savory and I liked that it wasn't too oily unlike other ramens. The pork belly was the best part as it was savory and a bit sweet. It was soft to chew on and perfectly cooked. As usual, I wasn't able to finish my bowl and my brother had a taste of it. He said that the Yokohama tastes better.
The Okonomiyaki resembled takoyaki balls but it was served on a sizzling plate. I like the crusty part that has touched the plate as it brings balance to the softness of the pancake. There was a right balance between the mayo and sauce. You wouldn't believe that there's chashu in it as it is as soft as the pancake.
So if you're craving ramen, Ippudo is a great place to satisfy it.
Our second time to visit Ippudo - Moa Branch. Thanks to their Customer Relations and Staff for having us back. Im glad we came back because if we didn't, we wouldn't try other choices on their menu. They were well coordinated as soon as we arrived. Their Manager Mark was the first one who accommodated us and took our order. He recommended the Nanban Karaage - im glad he recommended this. My 7 yo son loved it! As well as me. we also tried the new Ramen they just launched which is the Miso Akamaru. We also tried their Torched Salmon Roll - taste 👌👌👌 and very well presented. Unique sushi roll. Pork Bun - it was so good we had to order another one😁 so now trying all these, we will definitely come back as we found our new heaven. There are still more to try😀 The server who was assigned to us was Carlo and our order came quickly! Everything we needed was taken care of by Carlo and he was really attentive. He also explained to us that they have new dishes quarterly so its nice because theres new fusion to look forward to. Thank you for making it up to us by having excellent customer service and you made our dining experience a memorable one. Keep it up! Continue to make great food and excellent customer service. Congrats you had redeemed yourselves.
Aside from Ramen, their Black Sesame Ice Cream is to die for!
Simple japanese interiors.
Service tends to be slow esp. during dinner time.
Will have to try other dishes some other time.
First time to eat here. We ordered Akamaru Special and it was so delicious! So tasty and I love the spiciness! Best ramen so far! Also, I love their Torched salmon roll!!!! It's SUPERB!!!!
Pretty pricey yet they serve Delicious ramen.
Polite and friendly staff. Thumbs up!! Highly recommended :) The aka ramen, was not that spicy but its all good..
Ordered the Akamaru Special this time (cause I always order the Shiromaru), it was absolutely delicious, found it a bit spicy though. The tempura roll was good but you can do without it. BUT the torched salmon roll was the bomb!! It was AMAZINGLY GOOD-- no words to describe it.
All tables were occupied when we visited and we even had to wait in line for around 15 mins. Serving time took a bit long too-- in fact, the tempura roll arrived when we had already finished eating the sushi roll and the ramen. Good thing the wait was worth it!
This is my first time ever to eat at Ippudo. I know, I have been missing out. But at last, here I am. I tried their Akamaru Special and it was divine 🙌🏻
.
I have been going on and on about how the broth is just right. The richness of the broth is not overpowering and greasy at all. I loved the fact they their egg is 1 whole egg. Other ramen shops serve just half an egg.
Service? What can I say, they’re very attentive and accomodating. Their staff, from coming in to leaving the place, assists you in every way that they can. Plus points for being courteous.
Ambiance, I liked the clean and open look. It makes you feel relaxed and wanna dine there.
Overall, I’ll definitely dine here again.
Food Presentation 4/5
- Food presentation is done well (Simple yet elegant) but it doesn't really make me crave for the food itself.
Taste 4/5
- Ramen [Shiromaru Special] tastes great. Would definitely eat again here. The only little problem that I had was that some Chashu pork slices tasted just like boiled pork; nothing more, nothing less. I don't know if it's meant to be like that but it is not enough to make the dish less worthy of the points that I've given.
- Pork bun was delicious. Definitely worth ordering every time you would eat there
Service 5/5
- Service here is great. Staff is accommodating and food was delivered in a timely manner.
Value for Money 5/5
- Albeit the price may be steep compared to other restaurants, the price is justified with the taste of their food, its serving size, and their service.
We were a group of 6 and we had a chance to try all ramen, namely: shiromaru, akamaru, karaka. We had all three specials. We didn’t get to try tantanmen though because it wasn’t available. For sides, we got deep-fried gyoza and okonomiyaki.
I got karaka because the server said that it was the spiciest one but it wasn’t really hot enough for me. The servings were big and it lasted me lunch through dinner. Probably good enough for sharing but you wouldn’t really want to. It was so good. Gyoza would have been better if it was served still warm but it was still good. Okonomiyaki was amazing. It didn’t look like much but it was so good. I loved it.
Ramen-wise, i’d still go for ramen nagi. But ippudo was also a good experience.
I love their tantanmen (regular spice) haven’t tried the spicier flavor but will definitely try next time, fried gyoza is also a must try, shiromaru chashu is also good and rich in flavor.
Food is superb although pricey but it’s worth it.
You don’t have to call the staff because they will definitely refill the service water for you and also they will guide you on the menu :)
Recommended for your next special date with loved one
Wasn’t able to take a shot of the orders sorry.

The ambience was good and the service is absolutely awesome their staff takes time to recommend what to get and give options.
The Food was great too!
I super loved their Karaage will def come back for more, im a fan of the chicken bun too ( wished they served bigger portions of both tho 🤣).
Loved the Tantanmen and fried gyozas too 🍜😋
Ippudo in MOA has a great location 'coz it's centrally located near the entrance and front of MOA.
I would consider Ippudo to have one of the best ramen you could find in the area as long as you won't mind the price tag of range of Php500.
Got to try the...
Tantanmen Ramen - tonkotsu broth had a full-bodied flavor that might tend to be overwhelming after you finish the whole bowl. Wonderful play of creaminess and spiciness. The chashu pork was tender and flavorful as well as the ground pork. The noodles were al dente and addicting.
Happy Tummy! That's how I feel every time I order Ramen. The pork slices melt in your mouth, the broth is excellent and the noodles are perfect! I wish you'd set up shop in the South so it would be easier for me to go.
Nice, clean surroundings, friendly and efficient staff, and impeccable ramen. This is a great place for a quick bite when you find yourself lost in tje maze that is Mall of Asia. Team Tikim
Ippudo is known for its authentic ramen dishes. We can't help but compare this restaurant to other mainstream ramen houses. Its food is delicious and makes you want to crave more but the price makes you think twice.
Orders:
Shiromaru Special (with regular spiciness)
Tantanmen Special
Okonomiyaki
Total price around P1500
(Posting this review a week after our visit)
Shiromaru special tastes like the original ramen flavor in ramen nagi. It's boosting with flavors and I'm curious how the spicy flavored Shiromaru tastes like.
Tantanmen special is a little bit spicy and the runny egg changes everything! Although, I didn't like the noodles that came with it (curly noodles) I prefer the regular noodles. Tastes okay but I will not try it again.
Okonomiyaki, also known as the pancake version of takoyaki in Japan is vert tasty -- almost too salty. I liked the pork on top of it except for the fatty parts, it feels like hard jello.
All in all, Ippudo is an okay restaurant, will try it again when the odds will be with us.
Went here with my hommies on a Saturday night. And, thank God! The line isn’t long. The place nice, though quite crowded.
We ordered the Beef Ishiyaki Rice, Tantanmen, and Shiromaru Chashu Ramen. The rice tasts good, but there’s a sawa-factor. The ramen is good too - the broth tastes amazing, meat is tender and noodles are spot on.
The staff were really helpful especially the guy who mixed Mom’s rice and the lady who answered all our questions for our orders. Price is reasonable; service is good. Very satisfied with my meal.
Ippudo is the best tasting ramen I had here in the metro. The price may be steep, but it is definitely worth it. They let you choose the hardness of the noodles. Their okomiyaki is great as well.
Best tasting ramen I have tried in the metro, albeit a bit expensive. The broth is flavorful but not overwhelming. I also like how I can customize my food to my liking. (4.5 of 5)
As for the service, they gave us the wrong order twice. The bill they gave us was also wrong. (3 of 5)
Been here twice. First tried their limited edition ramen so I forgot the name and it was okay. Second visit, I ordered Shiromaru special and it was divine! You have the option to select hardness of noodles by the way. Deep fried gyoza is also good. Food quality, ambiance and service are superb but this place is pricey hence the not so perfect score.
I was quite excited when I learned that Ippudo's Limited Ramen will be their 2016 Top Seller TanTanMen 😍 First day they rolled it out, I was there! #arawarawramen 😂 Walang makakapigil sakin 😂
Torched Chashu - I'm still wondering why they haven't made this a staple in their menu yet. Super love their torched chashu!
Noodles are again not the typical thin straight noodles you will find in a bowl of Ippudo's Main Variants. This time it's curly and bit thicker. Just perfect for a spicy soup.
Tamago - or in this case if I'm not mistaken is an Onsen Egg. Kinda like a poached egg but very runny, almost raw inside. Gives a creamy texture to the spicy broth.
CHEESE! gives additional creaminess and a little bit of saltiness in the mix. With this, Ippudo's Tantanmen came too close to Ukokkei Ramen Ron's Cheesy TanTanMen. 😱
My only complaint.. Cilantro. I never liked cilantro in any kind of soup. It gives off a kind of grassy taste to it. I took out everything before going down on the bowl so as to prevent it from tainting the soup. ✌️😁
Oh and the spiciness of the bowl becomes spicier as you reach the bottom so better be prepared if you are not into spicy food.
I can definitely see how their version became a show stopper during the 2016 Tokyo Ramen Show. 👏
Fantastic ramen!!! It's a bit pricey though if you're used to the P100 above range of ramens. But I can assure you that you get what you pay for. Not only does their ramen taste top notch, but their service is exceptional. One experience that I had here, in which I didn't have in MOST restaurants, was how they treated people who are dining in for the first time. They first ask you if you're dining for the first time or regularly. If it's your first time, then they help you in choosing, they explain, and they do really know their product. First timers need not to worry. You're in good hands here.Services in other places can be too friendly that it becomes annoying. But here, it's different. They're very helpful and friendly while maintaining an exceptional level formality and politeness.I don't live in Luzon, but looking forward to dine with you again.
What we like about Ippudo is their great service and courteous staff in SM MOA. Ramen serving was also unquestionable. Though the gyoza seems to have a little too thin of a wrapper, it breaks easily 😔 Overall, still a great food experience! 👌
I absolutely love Ippudo. I first encountered the restaurant in Yokohama, Japan, at Queens Square near Yokohama Landmark Tower. My favorite ramen is akimaru. One of my favorite add-ons for my ramen is the chilly sprouts. However, when I visited Ippudo in megamall, I did not find any. I hope you include this dish because it is one of my favorites. Also, I hope you open one restaurant in Alabang Festival mall as it is nearer to my workplace and home.
This is one of our favorite Ramen place. They have authentic black sesame ice cream. Gyoza also tastes good. Servers are very busy but they are well organized.
Overrated.
Don't hate me.
I only ate ramen and gyoza.
And I almost had nothing left for taxi! 😂
NOT FOR THE FAINT POCKET.
Not that their ramen is exceptional. Again, don't hate me. Let me break it down.
Expensive. Price is relative? You can get a better ramen somewhere else.
The serving is a little too small for it's price.
I stopped myself from ordering extra soup ( because I didn't want to end up giving another arm) even though i felt somewhat shortchanged with half-a-bowl of soup. I had to order extra noodles because it was just too little.
The taste is one level up good enough. Just that. But then again, this budget foodie only ate so much.
The place is mega. Mega cramped. During peak hours and weekdays, you'd most likely have to wait long to be seated. Staff are so preoccupied its like "please don't call on me, please don't ask for anything else" in there.
Maybe try it at opening time in a weekday.
You get what you pay for and you will only be served with all the expectations you have based on their menu! Love the #worldfamouseramen!
The service is still very accommodating and friendly. They now serve fast. Before it would take them 15mins to serve now it only took mins!
My fave ramen place, either here or in Japan. My mom, who is a very picky eater also loves the ramen. The soup is very savory and the noodles is cooked the way you.like it. I like mine on the hard side. I tried other ramen but nothing beats Ippudo yet. If I want to splurge on ramen, this is my to go place.
