The Intermittent Foodie
+4
I read bad reviews about Sumo Niku especially when it comes to the service but still I’m interested to try it!
So I did, not bad for me! I think the issue is lack of manning, reason of slow service.
Btw, they’re using electronic grill instead of charcoal.
Unlimited restaurants are in demand nowdays. There are lots of Korean restaurants that's offering unlimited Samgyupsal. Now, this new Yakiniku restaurant just opened last year and we're excited to try their unlimited meat with a Japanese flavor.
PLACE
It's very clean, spacious and it can accommodate large group of people. Once you enter the resto you can see foods are kept in a clear cabinet and freezer. You can assure that it's clean and fresh. Even the veggies are kept organized.
FOOD
Sumo Niku offers the best tasting and quality beef. The highlight of this resto is their famous wagyu beef. It's not the A5 wagyu, but it's soft and juicy. My 2nd favorite is their thinly sliced beef. It's very tasty! I tried their other meats but these 2 stands out for me.
SERVICE
Staff are accomodating. They will assist you right away, however, that's not the case anymore. They tend to ignore you sometimes. They will serve food that you didn't order.
PRICE
It's affordable. For only 499 you can eat all beef, pork, chicken, veggies, rice, and cheese. Same price with other restaurants that offers unlimited meat. The only downside is that no drinks included.
CONS
Wagyu beef is replaced by sirloin and they are saying it's wagyu.
Staff are not accomodating anymore.
Comfort room is always under repair.
Bad experience happened, however, we are still coming back because of the quality of the meat. I can't remember how many times we eat at this resto. I still recommend Sumo Niku.
pls add more staff for better service...
