Staffs are very accommodating and friendly. If you guys are looking for Filipino food (main dishes, desserts and street food) from Luzon to Mindanao, I suggest you visit Islas Pinas at Double Dragon, Pasay City. Lastly, the place is so much of a Filipino concept and everywhere is instagram worthy. #LakbayTambay

Affordable Buffet!

Brought my Balikbayan Aunt here who is craving for some classic Filipino merienda.

Food - Options were all good though quite limited, I especially enjoyed the goto arroz caldo!

Place - Nice and spacious. My family ended up taking a lot of photos lols. My Aunt also appreciates that there's a pasalubong center inside!

Affordable buffet with a great theme/interior. Food is so-so. They only have a few selections to choose from. It's a huge place and is totally IG-worthy especially for tourists.

The place was definitely superb! It definitely gave me the feel of the Filipino culture. Well, I won't forget how the foods were absolutely mouthwatering. With the wide variety of foods, I even had a difficult time which of which should land on my plate. Also, it's not just my stomach which "enjoyed", but also my eyes while seeing how beautiful every corner of Islas Pinas was. I remember seeing a real jeepney there where I took some selfies, played Sungka, had some photo-ops while holding real coconuts (buko) and vegetables beside a kubo and so on... It was a very nice experience and if will be given the chance in the future to drop by the place, I won't hesitate to do so. I recommend this to foodies who are into Filipino foods with a twist as well as those who do not only want some good food, but also a good place to dine with your family.

P.S. Good job to those guys who accommodated us. You guys were awesome! Oh, and DD Plaza has a very fast free WiFi.

You will be provided an Islas Pinas access pass upon entry to enjoy cashless and hassle-free dining experience. But take note, you need to keep your card with you at all times as they will charge you a minimum of Php2000 if lost, which is 10 times more expensive than what you pay for your merienda buffet.😅

Ambiance was no doubt, great. It showcases Filipino culture and cuisine. The facade surely brings you to places. The food stations are themed, too!

Was just a bit disappointed with the food choices because I was expecting more since it's a merienda buffet. On the other hand, staffs were accommodating and were all smiles while assisting us. Not bad for Php198.

I would recommend getting here at the moment they serve merienda which is at 3PM as they only serve it until 5:30 since they have to prepare for the dinner buffet at 6:30PM.

Overall, keri na.😊

I've been curious about this place for quite some time now especially that it became a word of mouth of a lot of foodies.

I never heard a bad feedback so far that is why when I got the chance, I did ate my dinner here.

Ambiance - 5.0/5.0
I cannot call this a food park but more of a lifestyle park that shows the different cuisines and culture of the Philippines. Also, it is very thematic and every spot would bring you to different parts of PH minus the travel. Everything is picture worthy.

Service - 4.0/5.0
I could not discredit the comfort of just having a card that serves as "eat now, pay later" card. And a buzzer that is given to you the moment you order. Very excellent idea. I suggest, the staff on the certain area should learn a Filipino greeting so that it will add to the overall experience.

Food - 3.5/5.0
I ordered Danggit (it comes with garlic rice, egg and atchara)
It was good for me. The danggit is not too salty and at the same time the serving was pretty big. However, I suggest that they should ask the customer about their preference for the egg because most Filipinos do love "malasado" sunny side-up eggs.

I also ordered Chicken Inasalitas and for me its totally good with or without rice.

I would come back to try the others.

One of the best buffet restaurants in the country highlighting popular Filipino dishes . Grilled chicken barbecue and street food are my top favorites complemented by thirst -quenching cold gulaman sago. Payment is very structured by using your Islas card and ambiance is so cool. A MUST try for everyone!

Islas Pinas will certainly make you proud na isa kang Pinoy. 😊 The ambience is remarkable. It showcases how rich the Filipino cultures are. The structures are amazingly built and well-arranged. Every corner is instagrammable. Price of the food justifies its taste and quality. Should I recommend this? Should I go back again? 100% YES! 👍🇵🇭

Really nice ambiance that reminds me of Nayong Pilipino. This place does not just offer food experience but also gives you a taste of Filipino culture. You can also borrow games like sungka, jackstones, text, etc. You can also buy pasalubongs and take pictures on models of tourist spots in the country. It is more of a museum than a restaurant.

There are lots if food stalls to choose from. Some of the must-tries are the Chicken Inasalitos of Tusok-Tusok, Lechon and Laing from Alamat, Crab Sipit with Cheese from Pampang, Maja Blanca and Biko from Panaderia. I also like the Bagnet from Alamat, for it's crispy and not very fatty.
The food are affordable; the only pricey ones are from Pampang since it's a "seafood paluto" stall and they charge per 100 grams (with a minimum of 300 grams). It's more appropriate for large groups since it's pricey and a lot for just 2 people.

I highly recommend this place. Visited it twice already and I will definitely go back!

Ambiance and overall set-up is very good! The foods are a bit pricey tho. But I will give it a 5 star because I love how they showcase the filipino culture. I recommend this to foreign tourists who want to try filipino foods in one stop. It is also near moa and baclaran, so it's very convenient.

This is already my third visit now. I hope that this place will flourish within a short period of time as to maintain this Filipino Food & Heritage Village. I hope they'll soon be featured and be known to many people. I am so happy this place exists, thanks to Margarita Fores!
It inspires me a lot especially when I think of the Millenials. I hope they'd be as proud as I am. Let's support this place. Imagine dining in a beautiful very Pinoy place where you could see how beautiful is our culture and the country Philippines.

Just by looking around, I know that it is very well planned and studied. It is very ideal to socializing with friends, family, work, study or even just enjoy Filipino delicacies. I just hope they improve on that matter. I did enjoy desserts like Biko, Mani at Buko!

We were there around 9pm. Closing time is at 10pm. They sell Breads and Biko B1T1!!! 😍 I got my Biko (brown sticky rice with coco latik on top) I reco this, it's perfect and I thought that lahat ng meron dito, if you're pinoy and grew up in the province, nakaka reminisce talaga!

Some of the highlights are Rice Terraces, Balanghay, Paoay Church structure, MMDA bridge, Jeepney display, Sari Sari Store, Bahay Kubo and so many more. Get ready to be surprised on how huge this Food Village is.

You'll be needing to get an access card upon enter, make sure to keep it as long as you're inside the premises, lost card will cost you minimum of P2k!
The card will also be used when paying for all your purchases inside upon exit.

Love the concept! Food is great. I ordered pancit batil patong, cassava, and sago’t gulaman. Loved them all.

They’ll give you an access card upon entry. You’ll present the card each time you order food. You’ll pay for everything when you exit the premises.

Prices are reasonable.

Just wish they add more stalls and more food choices.

Food halls have recently gained popularity among consumers in the past few years. The concept of having to choose from a wide selection of food stalls located in a single hall proves why this is a hit. Islas Pinas is a new food hall in Pasay City that provides its diners with various choices of Filipino food.
🏡
Ambience - I could easily give them 5 stars. The depiction different sceneries in the Philippines. A seating ledge (lol idk if you can actually sit on them but looks like it??) designed like the Banaue Rice Terraces, Calle Crisologo and Paoay Church of Ilocos, the industrialized design depicting Manila streetscapes, Bahay Kubo, the Vinta-inspired long table, Sorbetes cart, and so much more. You’ll never run out of IG-worthy spots here!
🍛
Food - I would give 3.5 stars. I’m not sure if they will add more stalls but the selection seems limited at the moment. Taste-wise, I think it’s above average but can definitely be improved. Prices are also above average, but still affordable. Can’t wait for them to expand their selection. ☺️
👩🏾‍🍳👨🏻‍🍳
Service - 2.5??? Upon entering, you get a card and that’s how you pay to the different stalls. It was lunch time when we dined in and service was quite slow due to the huge foot traffic. One staff even got one of our orders wrong. Waiting time for the food might take 15-20 minutes.
🍀
All in all, I think it was a worth it experience. I would definitely come back but not anytime soon; maybe when they’ve expanded their offerings and when they’ve started improving on their service side. 4 stars!

This place is a good representation of our culture! I really love how they came to a concept like this! The interior design was amazing! And of-course the food! Me and gidz didn’t expect too much on the food but it was surprisingly delicious! Though its quite expensive. The food we ordered costs us 500 pesos already ( hahahahaha) But will definitely go back here! Must try for everyone! 🍴

THIS WILL BE A VERY LONG AND DETAILED REVIEW. Sorry ✌🏼
•SERVICE• The service is 💯. They are very bright and patient. People here are very nice.
•FOOD• We ate at Alamat. Laing was very good but I prefer it to be spicy but it’s still good. We ordered a soup dish with vegetables at mussels (I forgot the name) and the soup is extra savory!!! I forgot how much it is but it’s around P300+ for a sharing meal with 3 rice ata. We went on a friday and the robing vendor is selling balut. He was super nice plus he actually gave us his wife’s secret recipe for his vinegar sauce. His balut is from Pateros and my tita said it’s good. It’s priced at P40 for both Balut and Penoy. They have other robing vendors on other days daw like Taho and Sorbetes. Their menu is changing everyday din, so new foods to taste everyday.
•DRINKS• We ordered our drinks at Panulak—mangga, pakwan and pinya juice. The drinks are good, but the people are better. They actually made the buzzer light up again after they saw me taking photos of it because “Pipicturan pa kasi ni Ma’am habang umiilaw”. It’s priced at P90 each ata.
•DESSERT• We ordered a Sansrival at Panaderya. It was okay but again, the kuya who is serving is very nice and even suggested a good spot for taking photos (but I took photos on IG story and I forgot to save it). It’s priced at P80.
•CONCEPT• The concept is very cute. Before you enter you’ll have to pass through a gate wherein you’ll press a button and it will dispense an RFID card. You’ll use this card to order on everywhere inside Islas Pinas, including the Balut vendor. Each person will get their own card, but unless you’re splitting the bill or ordering individually, they suggest to just use one card to order everything so that you’ll only use one card for the payment. So you’ll order everything muna then once your done eating and buying stuff (they have a souvenir shop din), you’ll pay at the Kahera (cashier) before exiting.
We talked with Dario (he was very nice) and he told us that the food is actually handled by Margarita Forés (I love her so much). He also said that they are still on a dry run sort of thing and there are still a lot to open like Pampang (a dampa style resto or however you call it) and the Ifugao which will host several cultural events like balagtasan and cultural dances. They will also have options for a boodle fight once Pampang opens ata. Dario said that their main purpose is to really promote the culture of the Philippines. He even said that they also offer guided mini tour of the place. The sections of the place kasi is inspired of different places in the Philippines like Bohol, Calle Crisologo, Intramuros, Ifugao, etc.
•PRICE• Despite others’ reviews about the place being pricey, I actually find it very affordable considering that it’s handled by Margarita Forés (I’m not just gassing her up because I love her, but because she’s really great). For the quality, service and ambiance, it’s totally worth the price.

Place is really amazing and the foods are great. It's like a whole Phililippine tour in 1 day.

We ordered Kare Kare and Cebu Lechon, it's really good and worth the pay. I love how their process goes inside. It all starts with that RFID Card ;)

PS Im not sure why the photos wont go portrait like on my phone.

THE FOOD

Various regional dishes are prevalent with each assigned stations which covers everything areas between Batanes to Jolo. The menu changes daily to provide proper roulette of choices. These stations are themed along the Calle Crisologo strip.

Here, you can find a number of stations that serve homegrown hits in a comfortable air-conditioned space that brings together elements of our rich heritage. You start off with, the Tagalog statement for ‘ray of light’ offers all-day Filipino breakfast staples like the roster of SILOGs, various types of Longanisas, and Batchoy.

OVERALL FOOD TASTE AND EXPERIENCE

The food preparation and taste is pretty basic. Nothing too grand just the usual comfort and familiar taste that we all grew up with.

This new restaurant in town has a different way for you to dine with cashless eating. You enter to get a card and then order food with that card. Upon exit, that is when you transact with cash all that you have eaten. Love this new concept! They are still on soft opening so they need to add more Filipino dishes with the regions that the country has. The ambience is good with tourist spots on display. We got to eat at a makeshift bahay kubo! Cool! Because of my food allergies, I appreciated that they complied with my request. The souvenir shop is kinda expensive. The seats are adequately spaced enough . It's not an eat all you can but more on choose and eat.

We wouldn’t peg Islas Pinas as just another food hall that seemed to be sprouting from your typical urban districts. This new venture by Margarita Fores is quite different. Imagine Nayong Pilipino and SM Kultura having a love child and that beautiful newborn is Islas Pinas. The result of the collaboration between DoubleDragon group and chef Margarita Forés, Islas Pinas is a project that aims to spark an unacquainted love for the Philippines and to cultivate patriotism through a diorama heritage display and Filipino cuisine.
