My mom said this place was pricey, but I'm in a mood for good quality ramen, on vacation and I got extra I can splurge. Yes, worth every peso. Must try again and again. #happytatti #happytummy #pinayinAbuDhabi
💕 Date for Two: Shio Ramen, Kara-Miso Ramen
💌 Total: P780
Overall:
After a mild motion sickness from the VR Zone, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka saved our night. Soothing and hearty, these hot bowls were meant to be for us.
They have two size options for their ramen, Regular and Large. We find the large size expensive so we just chose the regular one. It was a very good decision as the serving for each bowl was very generous, and we got to try two different variants.
Shio Ramen (Regular, P385) – Hokkaido Ramen Santouka’s signature ramen in pork broth and salt.
Kara-Miso Ramen (Regular, P395) – pork broth, hot spices and miso.
Value for money: Worth it!
#DateForTwo at Hokkaido Ramen Santouka
Always my favorite ramen place! Their Shio ramen is very flavorful. And for only 540 you have yourself some katsu (that you can share), fruits, salad, black tea, and a bowl of Ramen ❤️
My friend and I used booky and ordered the BOGO promo nanban chicken. We also ordered rice. I chose the sake chahan, and she chose the char siu chahan. The chicken was delicious, nicely fried, crispy exterior but moist and juicy when you bite it. The chahan, I find a bit pricy at 150php per serving. But the taste is good, like it was somewhat smokey in flavor, and you can eat it on it own because it has salmon/charsiu already in it.
Next time I will visit this place, I will try their ramen. 🤞
My quest to try the better buy 1, take 1 from booky continues with the Nanban Chicken at P280 for 2 orders instead of 1. Nanban Chicken is endemic to Kyushu and it is fried chicken karaage with sweet and sour Nanban sauce and topped with Jap mayo. There was shredded cabbage that you could eat together with the chicken to counter the richness of the dish. I had it with plain gohan rice.
I also ordered the Charsiu Rolls at P210. It was a scrumptious roll with pork charsiu, cucumber, carrots and mayo that is accompanied by their signature dip. Both dishes were very good and provided me with a good reason to drive to MOA.
This is a favorite place of mine and my experience got even better at this branch. The food tastes a lot different, yummier! I went with my mom and dad and it was their first time trying out this place and safe to say, they liked it. The ramen is divineeee. Super friendly staff, though we were there on a Monday afternoon with really few people dining. I hope they’re the same friendly and perky people when jam packed with people. All in all, this place is a recommend for family, friends, or date eat out. Will come back and eat to this branch when I get the chance.
Good news... Hokkaido Ramen Santouka re-opened in MOA and is now considerably more spacious than before. I still find then to be one of the Top 5 Ramen in the Philippines.
This branch is so much better than their Glorietta location. Service is good, attentive staffs, and air-conditioning is comfy.
Got their ramen-chix karaage and katsu-ramen sets. Both sets were good, portion is generous and good value. I tried their pork char siu mantau, it was ok but the dressing killed the pork flavor... you can skip this dish. Overall, will definitely go back.
Our order:
1. Set G (Small Ramen and Grilled Salmon and Salmon Roe Rice Bowl Set) - P520 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Ramen was okay. What I liked was the Salmon Roe rice bowl. Will order the Sake Ikura Gohan in full size next time
2. Tonkatsu (P285) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was okay. I suggest you try something else or just go to Yabu if you really want Tonkatsu
We ate here last November 12 for our first monthsary. It was late and we were their last customers. We ordered their sets which included tonkatsu, ramen and desserts. The food is worth the price quality and quantity wise. And the servers were really nice although we were the last one in. We left their with our stomachs full.
