The branch of Rico’s Lechon in MOA is so big and spacious. Despite the weekend lunch hour, it was still easy to look for seats. The service was fast, knowing how packed the place was.
For the food…
▫️ Chicharon Bulaklak
This was super sinful yet so good. I liked how crunchy it was on the outside but super soft and juicy on the inside. It was a little salty but I think dipping it in vinegar will balance it. For me, I just ate it with rice. Haha.
▫️ Adobong Kangkong
Coming from the strong taste of chicharon bulaklak, the adobong kangkong tasted a little blander. But it was still tasty. You get more vegetables than sauce for this dish.
▫️ Lechon
Their lechon had thick cuts but the skin was not that crunchy anymore. In terms of crunchiness, I’d prefer the chicharon bulaklak over this one. The meat was very juicy also.
Spicy lechon for the win! Rico's Lechon is one of my fave restos for my lechon fix so I'm happy that they opened a new branch in MOA.
Aside from the regular menu, this branch also has new dishes (some with lechon bits), including senior pit lechon mami, lechon arrozcaldo, lechsilog (lechon, sinangag, itlog) and dinuguan at puto.
This branch is huge with 200 seats and they serve freshly cooked lechon so you're guaranteed crispy balat ng lechon. :)
There wasn't much people when we arrived on a weekday lunch so we were given a table right away. Food tastes yummy, lechon is crispy and tasty.
Tables and utensils are clean, ambiance is nice😍
