Craving for a japanese resto and we decided to try this one. I liked the branch since it’s not crowded and the service crews because they’re so attentive to our needs. The food is great too especially the makis. I just hope they have more choices on their menu. Will definitely try their other menu soon.
This place is a decent place to get your tempura fix for a fair price. Their dishes are prettty good and their tempura batter is really nice and crispy, but a bit too greasy. Their side dishes are great too, i especially love the cheese and tofu. I live their tempura sauce which goes great with rice.
I was craving Tempura so I decided to stop by at Tenya. It’s my first time at this branch and it’s pretty consistent with the other branches. The flavors are on point and it’s crispy good. It wasn’t oily at all and I love it when it’s mostly shrimp than batter.
Love their tempura ♥️ it's really something :) though I'm a bit disappointed with the fried salmon..it's a bit dense for my taste. Overall i love the service :) staff is super friendly!
Definitely one of my favorite tempura places in the metro. The batter is light and fluffy, the shrimps are huge, and the vegetables are perfect for the light banner. Love their tempura sauce, glad that they have it on the tableside so I can drench my rice with it.
A feast for the eyes! I ordered their tempura set and found the presentation of the food very appealing, almost similar to what I had in Japan. But it isn’t just all about the presentation. Food tastes really great; you may opt for their special sauce instead of the tempura sauce for that extra ‘kick.’ Kick means tendon-like taste which lives to what the name of the restaurant is, it specializes in tendon. Other than their food, the ambiance is also cozy and the service is truly awesome. This can easily be one of my top food choices whenever I’m at the Mall of Asia.
As of now for me Tenya is synonymous to Shrimp/Prawn as KFC is to Chicken. Its amazing how they are able to consistently maintain quality for a type of product that has a considerably slimmer window of freshness compared to other staples such as chicken. My dining experience in their Mall of Asia branch is quite consistent with the culinary trysts that I had in their other branches. The prawn is certified fresh and fried just right. The sauce perfectly compliments the deep fried prawn. As always their service is fast and efficient couldnt really argue with it.
Good Japanese food, great service, and nice ambience. Price is very reasonable. I always go for the all star tendon tempura set --- good value for money. Tiger prawn tempuras are really good, salmon and mushrooms included. I love this because it really is complete. You might also want to try the ramen + gyoza set. Stay away from the makis. This branch is very consistent with the food.
The place was great, clean and the english speaking waiter was the best.
I can't wait to come back t the restaurant to have more food here!
Going to MOA during the weekends is fun, up until dinnertime. Choosing a decent resto that is kid friendly, tasty and not crowded is pretty challenging. It's like hunger games I tell you. Good thing there are new restaurants in MOA's Entertainment Mall, North Wing side. Mostly japanese and dessert shops. We ate at Tenya Tempura Tendon. They have cozy chairs and modern interiors and our food arrived in the cutest container basket thingy? It was different from your usual food presentation, but the food was spot on. I'm no tempura connoisseur but I know a good tempura when I taste one. The outside is crispy with a light batter, and the shrimp is juicy and tasty. Yum!
