I wanted to try something different for my birthday celebration so we decided to try Agos.
The place felt like an old american diner interiors, and it was nice for a date or a family lunch or dinner.
We ordered paella negra, which is like the classic paella but the rice was blackened with squid ink topped with mahi-mahi fillet, calamari, clams, mussels and quail eggs. It said it had tinapa flakes but I don't remember tasting it. It had a little bit of mayo though but it went well with the dish when squeezed with lemon.
Our side dish was baked aklan oysters with creamy cheese on top of it.
Overall even though we only had 2 dishes, our tummies were satisfied.
Ambience: 4
Food: 4.5
Service: 4
Paella was flavoursome! Best I've ever tasted so far. Binagoongan not that good. Service was good as well. Place was a little small especially for group bookings.
Very good interiors, reasonable prices except for the beef salpicao which I had very high expectations. For the price of 500+, the serving size was truly disappointing. Kare kare was very good and I commend the chef for the very nice presentation. Staffs are very attentive and helpful.
Im not really one to post, however for Agos, I had to make the exception. With the simple interior and the most amazing filipino cuisine, this is a must for a romantic date, family get together or even just as a rewarding treat to yourself.
The prices are fair and the servings are huge! Definitely for sharing! Our bill amounted to around 1,500. The Paella and Roasted Beef were around 500+ pesos each, and the Almondigas was around 200+. Worth every single penny.
MUST TRY:
💕 Filipino Style Paella (good for 3-4)
💕 Roasted Beef with Gravy (good for 2-3)
💕 Almondigas Soup (good for 3-4)
Trust me guys, you'll love Agos! But be sure to get your workout in before hand, 'cause you'll surely leave stuffed!!
We went to Agos by Chef Tatung after watching a movie in the newly built SM Cinema 7 at SM Mall of Asia. Yes, Chef Tatung is the one behind Alab Restaurant. Sadly, Chef Tatung is no longer connected with Alab Restaurant according to the staff of Agos Restaurant.
I was fascinated with the modern and classic interior combination of the restaurant. From the mirror and tile walls, chairs that I usually see in the diners, great ceiling and chandeliers. By the way, Agos have beautiful comfort room.
Agos offers Spanish Filipino Cuisines. Some of the dishes were familiar, some were my first time to try.
🌊 Paella Fiesta Filipina for Php580.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
"This paella is cooked with a festive mix of seafood, chicken, smoked pork jowl and vegetables and given its beautiful color with atchuette oil."
🌊 Pollo Con Salsa Tsokolate for Php270.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
"Chicken braised in Dark Chocolate sauce. According to Chef Tatung's staff it is one of the bestsellers of the restaurant. For me, just imagine that you are eating adobo with tsokolate" 😉
🌊 Twice-cooked Sticky Beer Belly for Php380.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
"Cerveza brined pork belly braised until tender. Deep fried before glazing with special spiced honey sauce. It taste like hamonado but on my first bite I can really taste that it was marinated with liquor. Masarap!"
🌊 Chef Tatung's 3-Cheese Bibingka Delight for Php180.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
"This bibingka is my favorite among the dishes we had. The based of the bibingka composed of Cassava, Nata de Coco and Shredded Coconut topped with 3 Cheese - Mozzarella, Keso de Bola and Cheddar served with Salted Egg Custard. Panalo ang salted egg custard! Creamy na Salted Egg na manamisnamis."
The staff provided us superb service. Alert at all times when needed.
Agos is located at the seaside view of SM Mall of Asia (North Wing).

I just loved everything here! Especially the "Sinampalukang Sugpo sa Gata" and "Roasted Beef with Mushroom Gravy" So yummy AF! ❤ My sister fell in love to their "Agos Salad" The ambiance is good & fast service🖒 Will definitely go back here to try their other dishes.
Went here because we kind of celebrated my younger brother's first pay from his very first job, and my mum and little sis were leaving for Australia for a short vacation.
Very good food. Their paella was really delectable. I particularly enjoyed their roasted beef with mushroom gravy. Their pork belly binagoongan was good that I was tempted to order plain rice just to enjoy it but I was already full. My sister-in-law enjoyed the ginataang mahi-mahi. And my parents enjoyed the cheesy tortang talong.
I'm glad I was able to visit this restaurant. Do drop by if ever you're in MOA.
I hate the feeling when I read bad reviews that are given unfairly. It makes you wonder if you ate at the same restaurant they did. Have you ever seen reviews coming from those who dined on an extremely high-volume day like holidays/days with major events/soft openings? Of course you'd have to expect that it would be a frenzy! Anyway, as for my experience, I absolutely loved this restaurant! Sure the service wasn't 5-star hotel levels but why set your expectations so high? What stole the limelight was the food. We got the Filipino Paella (try it), Roast Beef (MUST try), oysters (huge and fresh), sizzling squid (it was OK), Almondigas (family loved it), and the main star of our table: Cheesy Tortang Talong which came to the table looking like a very expensive Lasagna dish. The twist just worked amazingly well. It's not a low-budget place, but it's not expensive either. I felt that I got my money's worth. The place is also IG-ready for the picture crazy folks like me. One thing I'd like to note to make this a fair review is the the service was a little lacking that day. The manager was very apologetic that they had some staff go absent but I'm not taking it against them because hey, it happens! Overall my family had a good time, so for me that's all that matters. I highly recommend Agos!
Went here with our Aussie boss who was craving for Filipino food. Awesome food choices, we had a hard time finalising our orders lol. The price for the dishes are reasonable, except for the fruit shakes! One of our companions even exclaimed that her green mango shake is kinda bland. Anyway, the food was delish 😋 we were just surprised to see half a body of a baby pig on our table for their bestselling crispy pata (didn't get the name of the dish because the server mumbles whenever she says it). I'd go back to this place to treat our balikbayan relatives ;)
My first impression is that this place is a bit intimidating. The food they serve are of Spanish origin so i assumed its pricey. However, upon trying, i realized that its not only budget-friendly but homey and delicious.
Everything is just as it should be. The people are friendly, food is amazing and the place is modern filipino.
My only 👎🏻 about this is the menu. Its literal piece of parchment. But i'll def try this again. Amazing place!

Lots of hype on this new Pinoy resto by Chef Tattung. There were some hits and misses, but the food was generally good. our favorites were the fresh lumpiang ubod, thepork belly (we had a repeat order of this), and the salad. Not to say that the rest of the food wasn't good; they were all OK though didn't stand out like those I mentioned. Definitely worth a try.
So the moment that Chef Tattung announced that he is having a resto at MOA, ('coz I needed to work at MOA for like 3 weeks) I decided to treat my family here.
So we had Paella, Grilled Liempo, Seafood Soup with a Tomato Base, Chicken with a Dark Chocolate Sauce and Sizzling Beef. And I actually loved every dish. Believe it or not, we got those for less than 2,000 pesos. WHAT A STEAL RIGHT? Plus, we saw Chef Tattung. He is the most kind chef I ever met, he asked our opinions and he even offered to give a comment card. THANK YOU FOR MAKING OUR FIRST DIBS SPECIAL AGOS MOA!
My family likes having dinner together especially if there is a special occasion. And since Agos recently opened, we decided to try it. We had the Sisig Wrap which was paired with a mango salsa sauce. It combined the original taste of sisig with the sweet, tangy mango flavor. We also had the Paella Fiesta Filipina which also, did not disappoint. It had the authentic taste of tomatoes, not the typical tomato sauce which other restaurants use. We also had the Embutido, which i was skeptical to order at first but when I tried, was also a good choice. But the one that really captured my attention was the Twice Cooked Sticky Beer Belly. It was pork belly at its finest. It's so soft, the meat disintegrates when you cut through it. The taste of the pork is still there, combined with a hint of cerveza and the glaze. Iced tea was a bit too strong for me, but tastes good as well. Only reason i gave a -.5 because some stocks were not available (probably bec they didnt expect so many customers) and i want them to have space for improvement.
