Last Saturday we tried a new restaurant at the recommendation of a friend. My husband loves Chinese food and I love dimsum, so this was a must-try. The restaurant is still in its soft-opening stage and few people have heard of it. But I'm glad our friends had because this a great find!!
The first thing I always order at a Chinese restaurant is Hakaw or shrimp dumpling, and these were amazing. I like mine with some chili oil and calamansi juice squeezed on top, but my kids like them as is. Either ways, they were the best I've ever had!!
However, they had me converted when I tried the fried pork dumpling, which is now my new favorite kind of dumpling. Crispy shell with the perfectly seasoned minced pork with herbs and garlic stuffed inside. They disappeared so fast from the table that I didn't have time to get a picture!
On the recommendation of the staff, we tried the red shrimp roll. An outer shell of red rice flour, with a crunchy middle, leading to the soft shrimp. Served with soy sauce, this was totally delectable.
We also tried the beef balls that were yummy and bursting with flavor. Next was the steamed Lapu Lapu which was light and fresh with just the right amount of soy sauce.
The highlight of the evening was the Crab with Sotanghon. It doesn't get any better.... Despite the effort it takes to crack the claws and get to the meat, it's totally worth it. They also have a black pepper crab which I intend to try next time.
Must compliment the chef and the staff who were very accommodating. Service was great and prompt and the chef was happy to customize the recipe to our taste.
We were all stuffed by the end of the meal but wished I could eat more.... Which is why we'll be returning there soon.
If only I can rate my dining experience a 10 star instead of a 5 star, I would. First off, the menu offers a broad range of variety of food all reasonably priced. We had the appetizers and soup served first and it was superb. What really got me was the seafood we ordered: salted pepper crabs, steamed lapu-lapu stuffed with garlic, and the seared scallops. Maan, I could have literally died on the spot eating those three. It was well seasoned, the quality was evident, and was plated well. If the waiters would tell me that Gordon Ramsay cooked all of them, I would believe right away cuz of how good it was. I really suggest for all of you to come and visit as they won't disappoint you. What's even nice is that this is a newly built place boasting a nice interior of the place. Good job!
Been here twice. It is a newly opened Restaurant. They have a conducive space for your car. Staffs from Reception to Servers are all professionals and friendly. I've been to different Chinese Restaurant, and I can say that this one is a must try. Looking forward tasting others of their dishes. Will definitely be back.
