Attended a Chinese New Year Celebration here with the handsome hubby last January. It was our first time to visit East Ocean Palace and my first impression was how amazing the number of private function rooms they have. Crispy Suckling pig with Mango Roll. Steamed Rock Lobster with Garlic. Truffle Seafood Soup
Food is good but it is quite pricey for the amount of serving. The servers are very accommodating. The ambiance are nice specially the lobby looks like a hotel.
From the same guys as century seafood restaurant, is the rise of this Amazing place! I attended a wedding here and the place is superb. From the excellent service to the great food. There was more than 80 tables in the reception. Yet the service was impeccable, no follow ups needed for every request(water, chili sauce, iced tea)
Every dish was good, but here are some of the highlights.
1. Baby squid from the cold cuts - texture is the best thing about this dish, the taste was also superb. A little sweet, a little tangy, and a whole lot of texture!
2. Live abalone fried in salted egg coating - this one is heavenly! A piece will never be enough! Im sure a steep price comes with it so it should'nt disappoint, and it did'nt!
3. Fish maw with celery in xo sauce - while the fish maw was good. the best thing about this dish was tthe vegetales! Each peas had the perfect crunch and sweetness, even the bell pepper tasted like sweet fruits! What made this dish so good was the fact that they used the best ingredients!
Overall, you can't go wrong with this place! This one will definitely make your special occassion more special!
Now one of our go to Chinese restaurants in Manila. Love their food especially the place! Feels like you are in a hotel. Their service is also very good! Very hands on and accommodating :))
I really loved everything except for their bihon noodles. It tasted weird and the bihon was all clumped together which made it not good. I had tried their birthday noodles before and that was so much better.
Their suckling pig was crispy and delicious. Their shark’s fin soup was good but not the best. But their abalone and fish was soo good. The best one I had tried yet. Their duck was really delicious as well.
Chinese cuisine is no stranger with us Filipinos. We were exposed to several of its dishes ever since we could eat solid food. But only a few could be named worthy to be called great. And recently, several taste makers claim that a ginormous Chinese restaurant at the golden Entertainment City is a real deal.
The newest venue for weddings/ events that serve Chinese food! Private function rooms are available, ambience is good, service is also good. You have your own waiters in your private room. Not to mention, your own toilet too!
All of us love their truffle noodles, we would go back for this! Their other food though, were just ok... we tried their suckling pig platter, and their spareribs with olive and honey. Serving portion was small, which makes it expensive for its price.
Every cent you spend here is definotely worthit, since their food is definitely unique and really really good! Combine the good food with great service and great ambiance, and everything is just perfect. A must try!
Curious with what east ocean palace has to offer, we decided to brave the rains and head off to pasay where this brightly lit restaurant is located. Parking is not a problem since they have a basement parking for 30 or so vehicles plus an offsite parking and vale parking whichever you prefer. The entire building of 3 stories high exudes an aura of luxury much like New Port across T3. It has quite a number of function rooms having 1 to 3 tables each and dividers can be moved to accommodate even more. Once we found ourselves to the dining hall we were greeted by no less than 3 smiling staff and one showed us to our table. Food choices, to my surprise, were different from sister company century seafood restaurant. We ordered Peking duck, fish bladder with veggies, and hakaw. The hakaw was obviously made fresh and was tasty. The Peking duck was prepared and wrapped by the staff though you may opt to wrap them by yourself. The fish bladder is kind of a miss for us. The fish bladder itself has a texture of chicharon dipped in a sweet and savory sauce. It is tasteless without the sauce. There were minced pork and spicy fish flakes cooked together in this dish which we thought were quite an interesting blend. Overall it waa a good and relaxing experience to try out east ocean palace.
High level of food upon first taste! then someone told me that this place is also managed by the century seafood group and it all makes sense. so now you get century seafood high level chinese food with a hotel like ambiance and setup! their ballrooms and event rooms can accomodate a lot of people as well. expect to be in more events at this place next time.
