Had chicken tikka masala and Lamb Rogan Josh. We enjoyed both.
The drinks are value for money and the place reminds you of a british pub.
Will definitely come back. The male crew/bar tender was polite and corteous while the lady crew was not helpful.
Must try.
Union Jack Tavern is one of our staples for a mid week or even a weekend chill. They have live acoustic band during Saturdays.
The staff are friendly, always smiling.
For ladies, you may try their Hoagaarden Rose for a different twist of beer.
The price is not bad enough since their food serving is meant for sharing. They also serve complimentary snacks to regulars.
They are also on Eatigo so plus savings for you if have the app.
Im not and never was the type of person to leave reviews online but I dont really know where the mixed reviews are coming from but this place is the real deal. Amazing food, ambiance and service. For starters, get ant of the quesadillas. Super good! And they were very generous with the filling. Also had the lamb shank and for its price, you can't go wrong. Meat was very tender and portion was huge plus it was smothered in gravy! The Scottish Pan Fried Beef was my favorite! Generous serving, meat was cooked well and the sauce was delicious!
Worth the visit and would definitely be back!
Union Jack Tavern is one of the familiar sights at Festival Mall when they used to occupy the space by the covered parking entrance at the old wing. They transfixed that old pub feel at the new wing of the mall among other restaurants lined for your dining pleasure. Availed of a dining discount app's promo and was not expecting much because of previous reviews warning about the not so welcoming service. With family in tow, we were actually pleased by the level of service during our visit, perhaps taking heed to improve. We were seated promptly at the booth area. Seating was comfy, place was a bit dark, an expectation from pubs. The booth seating may require constant cleaning because we can feel the mosquitos feasting on our exposed legs.
We ordered Chicken Tandoori - flavorful chicken pieces, served on a sizzling plate. The yogurt sauce that came with it was refreshing. Chicken was not spicy at all. Fish and Chips with Mashed Peas - the nice staff recommended to add a bit of malt vinegar to the fish and it gave it that nice, sour kick. Mom does not like Dory Fish but she surprisingly enjoyed UJT's Fish and Chips, serving size was huge! The batter had that flavorful crunch. The mashed peas was delighful as well when taken in between forkfuls of fish and the potato. UJT Cheeseburger had fresh lettuce and tomatoes in between buttered buns, the burger was flavorful but not the best. I enjoyed the mozarella cheese because it was generous and oozing. Bolognese Spaghett - tomato and the meat sauce was thick and had that old fashioned bay leaf flavor. Serving size was good enough for two. We enjoyed the food very much!
Water refills was generous, it was automatically served. Bill came quite quickly after hailing. The nice manager on duty (judging from her attire) was kind enough to snap a photo of us and engage in small talk. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I hope others can enjoy UJT British food offerings. Recommended.

UJT is one of my most recommended places to go to in Festival Mall
The staff are very friendly and approachable
My favourite dish from theirs is the seafood chowder bread bowl and they're very consistent with their dishes which is great and their new place is beautiful especially the bookshelf
Definitely my favorite hang-out place! The very laidback atmosphere is totally inviting. I come here once a week with friends or visitors and even go there alone if i wanted a drink or two. The staff’s are very attentive, friendly and polite. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Union Jack Tavern is the best Filipinized English pub I've ever been in. Maybe I'm biased too because it's the only one I’ve see in the South. My family and I always go here on Sundays because it’s a really nice joint. The ambiance is true-to-form when seen with UK pubs: Dark-lit corners, wall lanterns that look like they came out of the medieval period, various football paraphernalia strewn across the halls, predominantly wooden furniture, chairs, and tables that look aged but appropriate.
Even the waiters – mostly women – are dressed in formal tops, short skirts, high socks, and heels to appeal to the demographic of Western customers who live around the Alabang area. Their English may not be straight all the time, but they do their jobs exceptionally well, no fuss no muss. They take orders, deliver them, and assist the customer in whatever way they can.
Despite the dim atmosphere cleanliness is not an issue. Sure it may look a bit roughed up in terms of vibe and look, but the management and crew keep it very tidy.
Food is excellent. On Sundays they have a lunch buffet that is a must-see and –eat. Their main attractions are the roasted lamb leg (served with either mint or Worcestershire sauce) and turkey (served with gravy). The fixins include boiled vegetables (baby broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower). Dessert is always apple pie with tart, but I often go for ice cream instead.
The result is a belly-busting meal. Sure, there were a few times we went for their menu items like fish & chips. Their beer selection was pretty good too (had Beer Kettle and San Mig Lights a few times), but we always preferred the lunch buffets, maybe because the quality was always just so darn bloody consistent!
Overall, you should go here if you haven’t. It’s really, really good.
Restaurant is good. Quite hidden and if you don't know the area you would not pay attention or yoh would not know there's a restaurant. Ambiance quite okay, furniture quite old. But the food, is amazing. Vindaloo and paratha goes well. But I hope they will consider to add some naan to go with the dishes as paratha is too oily. Onion badjia is a thumbs up as well. Have these with a nice cold beer and its gonna be superb.
Ps. The restaurant is now located in lower ground floor of the expansion wing. Inside ambiance are better. The shop (grocery) is not there anymore. Outside seats are not okay as it gives you the sewerage smell from the water creek. Still, food is great!
Food is awesome! I really like their british and indian food, specially their lamb rogan josh! And for the resto itself, it has a very nice british vibe!
Went to Union Kack tavern a few months ago with an old friend of mine who told me this place was here for many years.
Large menu both for food and drinks. Prices are fair, service can really be improved. Good looking waitresses is not the solution to bring a high level service.
