We frequent Bellevue and I always wanted to try this restaurant. I finally was able to try it last month for dinner with a group. The restaurant is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful in terms of explaining the menu. The food is a bit pricey, but worth it because the food was really good.
The ambience is great for a Japanese Restaurant. The food was good - I love the miso soup, Kaisen Kani Miso Yaki and the Spicy Tuna Roll. My husband ordered their Karaage set but he said it was average. Service was amazing.
Being located inside a hotel is a plus point already. The ambience is really nice especially if you’re looking for a Japanese resto for your date.
The prices are not that expensive and not cheap as well. Considering the taste of the food and the ambience, for me the prices are all right.
The staff are accommodating and patient considering we have 3 kids in our table (imagine how crazy is that) who knows how to order and requests for stuff.
Now, let me talk about the food.
I am a super crazy maki person. I’m all about the maki life. I ordered SPICY TUNA MAKI and boy, it did not disappoint. It was sooooo good!! It has a very generous serving of tuna!
Gyoza was the 2nd thing I ordered. It was ehhh....okay. I was kinda disappointed with this one. I don’t know if it’s the sauce or what but I’m sorry I wouldn’t recommend ordering this.
The Angus Beef Tenderloin is a must order if you’re a crazy “steak” person like me. It was so flavorful, so soft and really really worth the price.
Tonkatsu was okay. I’d rather go to Yabu if this is what I’ll order.
Lastly, the Beef Fried Rice. It was good but it had bell peppers. And I hate bell peppers. Well it was a mistake on my part coz I didn’t even bother asking what’s inside it but it was really flavorful trust me.
Overall, it was worth the try and I’ll definitely go there and dine again.
One of the better Japanese venues in the south. Good quality ingredients and nice ambience. Cod marinated in miso sauce is a must have. Various sashimi’s also are a good choice
I had high expectation because of (1) the location and (2) the friend who invited us, a real Japanese who likes good food and brought us to nice places before. So despite the average rating here, I was excited. My wife and I had the Tenderloin set, the Seafood set, and tried extra Volcano roll and Ebi mayo roll. Everything was delicious. The set was served with various sauces that even the Japanese with us were not sure how to match, which didn't make anything less delicious. I may have deeped de beef in the salad sauce, then what? It was delicious and in the end all is mixed down there right? My favourite in the set: the egg custard and the beef of course. My wife's prawns were delicious too. The Volcano roll is not spicy at all, perfect for me who don't like spicy so much. The Ebi mayo roll was nice too. I would probably go back if my budget allowed or to treat beloved friends. And with free parking at Bellevue, what more would you ask? For all this, I will put a rare 5.0 rating for Hatsune. Keep up guys!
My friends and I had such a great time dining here. The private room was spacious and food was delicious! I highly recommend this place. Great food, ambience and friendly staff. :)

For me, dining at Bellevue Hotel is synonymous with their Chinese restaurant, Phoenix Court. Phoenix Court is one of my favorite restaurants, and whenever we head out to the South, there is always a quick deliberation between Rina and I, regarding if we will make a stopover for some dimsum all you can. Recently however, a new restaurant named, "Hatsune", has opened in Bellevue Hotel, that further looks to reaffirm the hotel's claim of having some of the best food in the South.
Hatsune offers one of the best authentic Japanese Food in Manila today, I’ve been on a Japanese food rolls for over a week and so far it’s been the most satisfying. It is a big far from my usual Makati-BGC haunts for it took us 15 min to get there using the Skyway. It’s on the second floor of Bellevue Hotel in Alabang, The interiors of the place is really classy. I loved the chandeliers. We were a big group so got the private room. Started on with the spicy Tuna Maki, Yumyum, the agedashi tofu, The Unagi and Hamachi Sushi,With those alone, I was really stuffed. Then came the beef sirloin Teppan, so soft and juicy, the Kaki (oysters) Teppan, Ebiu Tempura, Zaru-Ubon which was the cold soba, The Chicken Yakimono, Capped it off with the Green Tea Panna Cotta and the Coffee Jelly with the Coffee Crumble ice cream. The overall experience was excellent, Service is GREAT. Check this place out.
I've been looking for a good Japanese restaurant in the south for a very long time. Thank God I found this place. I love hanakazu in BF but now I have another Japanese place to enjoy. Go try it. Tempura must try and I'm sure you'll like the others too
If you consider yourself a Japanese food connoisseur, you’ll appreciate the authentic Japanese cuisine at Hatsune. You must definitely try Hatsune’s Volcano Roll, Angus Beef Sirloin Teppanyaki, Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna Roll, and Kaisen Kani Miso Yaki, which is mixed seafood in shell served in flame. Flavor is definitely A+. ;)
