Here at Azumi Boutique hotel, at the bottom floor lies Romulo's. Romulo's is a Filipino restaurant named after the former statesman Carlos P. Romulo.
This is a place where you can go for a nice meal or have an event.
In this visit, we were checking out the venue for my sister's party. So for our lunch, we opted to have their fresh lumpia, inasal chicken sisig and binagoongan.
The fresh lumpia and the inasal sisig were excellent, no need to add any additional sauces to the dish. Both were flavorful on their own right, the binagoongan on the other hand lacked the bagoong flavor.
Overall, a good experience, good service and nice ambiance.
First time I was here was with my family. My mom and I celebrated our birthday lunch here and it did not disappoint. We ordered kare kare, crispy pork binagoongan, baby squid adobo and the suman latik which is probably one of the most delicious desserts I've had in my life! Everything we ordered taste great. Interior is cozy but posh. It can be quite expensive as this is a hotel restaurant but every penny is worth it. Service is excellent and now that this is on Eatigo, it made it even more appealing.
My family and I stayed in Azumi Boutique Hotel, and we had our breakfast at Romulo Cafe. The ambiance and interior is cute and attractive & the food is great.
This restaurant can cater to events of all sorts. They have ample space to carry out private functions like the one I attended today.
It was a buffet spread of their popular Filipino dishes. I wasn’t so hungry yet I got a number of viands on my plate. They all looked sumptuous.
The Kare Kare was creamy and its alamang made it even better. I didn’t have the Binagoongan but it paired well with Romulo’s take on Chicken Inasal.
I also suggest checking out their Gising Gising. For me, it was seasoned well and spiced just right. I also enjoyed the addition of some seafood, buttered shrimps and crablets!
It’s good to know Romulo’s is around to have reliable local cuisine and get to share it too with a crowd given their spacious restaurants. You can also have an event set-up in Tomas Morato and Jupiter branches.
Dined here on a Sunday afternoon, and I have to admit, I already had some hesitations about the place because I had attended an event there once and I didn't like the food that was served. Was pleasantly surprised to have had a good and hearty meal. I got the lengua, and I loved the soft texture and the sauce. One of my companions ordered chicken relleno, and though I'm not usually a fan of relleno, I also enjoyed the Bacolod chicken and the Ginataang Sigarillas. I absolutely loved the food and would definitely come back for more!
To celebrate my brother's birthday, i choose this place since it has great reviews and it's outside malls in alabang. Besides we had to pick up my sis in law from work good thing they're still open after 7pm. We ordered baby pusit, oyster kangkong i think topped with lechon kawali, lechon sisig and pasta. "Simut Sarap" "walang tapon" tagalog para intense. I recommend it 😍. One or two things that making me think twice to come back though are their Shakes and some crew. We ordered 3 mango shake and one buko shake. It's almost P200 each but you would prefer Fruitas shake or Cafe France for half the price. And lastly, the employee at the hotel entrance is way more courteous than the people in the resto. Only one crew knew how to smile. You'll never knw who's coming. Not all customers flaunt their money just for you to look at them then give the best customer service possible. Anyway, we still enjoy the food.
Looking to spend some quality time with your loved ones? Why not spend it at Romulo Cafe where the ambiance is good, and the food is sure to be a winner. 🙂. The place looked posh, clean and classy. I liked the whole green wallpaper design that matched beautifully with its marble flooring. It sets up the mood for a good dining experience.
Last Mother's day, we stayed at Azumi Boutique Hotel & ate at Romulo Cafe. It's not my first time here, kaya I can really say that their food is really good! 🤤
My personal fave is Mixed Bicol Express, may seafood & pork yun, and the price is just right hindi siya super pricey & for the food naman na sinerve its super worth it 😬
You guys should try it out!

So happy with my room service dinner!!! Their Lechon Kawali Sisig Rice Bowl is super yummy! For P220, totally worth it! Crunchy Lechon Kawali with mayo and despite me not being a fan of red onions, I loved the meal! Would love to go back to stay or even just dine here again soon!
Update:
We stayed overnight so we have complimentary breakfast buffet. Sad to say, we were not happy with the spread. They only have smoked fish and sausage with scrambled eggs. Choice of rice and a few assortments of bread.
Update 2:
We dined again for lunch and since I haven’t had enough of the lechon kawali sisig, we ordered that again. Monggo soup was good and tasty. Kare Kare was just so-so for me despite it being an heirloom recipe as indicated on the menu. They used grounded roasted peanuts for the sauce but taste-wise, hubby and I found it just ok and nothing spectacular.
If you are looking for a private and intimate setting to spend with family, this is the go to place. I might suggest to call in ahead of time to reserve a table since the space is quite limited. I love the ambiance of this place since it is situated far from the busy restos of the south.
The food selection is Filipino and is sooo good! The price is not that steep and the servings are huge!
