Nonna’s Trattoria

I’ve been wanting to visit Nonna’s for quite a while already and finally had the time to visit today! All I can say is that it’s super worth the wait. We ordered 2 pizzas and 1 pasta, and obviously it was so good I didn’t even get to take photos towards the latter part of the meal. We had:

Truffle Cream Pasta - In my experience, truffle cream pastas either end up too creamy or too truffle-y but I’m happy to say that Nonna’s version is neither! Safe to say it’s one of the best tasting truffle cream pastas I’ve had because aside from it being perfectly balanced in both the cream and truffle departments, I also like the fact that the noodles they used are unique so every bite you have is flavourful. Serving is also for sharing!

Nonna’s Special - The pizza that made me want to go here in the first place. Having the burrata be sliced and spread in front of me was definitely a treat and the first bite put me in pizza heaven. Try it with the hot honey for a little kick but otherwise, it’s perfect on its own.

Pulled Pork - A really good pizza as well! This is definitely for barbecue lovers as it is drizzled with barbecue sauce. Weird in theory but it definitely works!!! Super tender pork + barbecue sauce + cheese = winner !

Would definitely recommend Nonna’s for a quality food experience! Servings are good for sharing and food’s really good so I’m definitely coming back to try some of their other offerings such as Salmon & Caviar pizza 😉

Best place ever! If you’re impressed with Mama Lou’s then you’ll be more so with Nonna’s. Why not, they have better mannered, friendlier staff, the menu despite its limited repertoire is just perfect, the food is just delightful and the price is pocket friendly, and the place is cool!

Staff members are quite friendly and accommodating. The food is tasty and abundant. I recommend the pizza called “Nonna’s Special” which is a bestseller and a personal favourite. You must try their own homemade “Hot Honey”.

I had lunch there today (a Monday). I ordered their truffle pasta. They seem understaffed with 2 guys in the kitchen and 2 guys waiting the tables, around 8 tables were occupied. It took over 20 minutes for my food to be served. I was just on lunch break from work so I was getting impatient. Shortly after my food was served, the wait staff apologized for the delay and gave complimentary iced tea. Good thing the food was worth the wait. Really good truffle pasta for its price. And generous serving too. I’ll be back to try their pizza next time, but probably when I have more time.

Celebrated Dad's birthday at Nonna's Trattoria a couple Sundays ago and it was great! We had no reservations but our big group was accomodated with no hesitations. The friendly staff quickly rearranged the tables and chairs for our group. Ordered a couple of pizzas - Margharita and Pepperoni Pizza, cheesy and filled with quality pepperoni toppings.

Bolognese Pasta, customized with the thin noodles for the kids. Meaty and sauce was just right. The truffle mushroom pasta had a unique looking pasta which absorbed the sauce, ensuring every bite had truffle flavor. The beef stew was very flavorful, making every bite satisfying. Soft and delicious piece of beef. The fried chicken had a good crunch, gravy was thin, would have wanted more of it and platter of garlic rice was a good match to the main dishes.

Everything was good and wait time was just right. The good staff upon knowing we were celebrating a birthday was nice enough to give us a couple of complimentary ice cream (vanilla and chocolate) which the kids enjoyed. There is nothing more special than restaurants that create an atmosphere of warmth and make family time an intimate and memorable experience. Thank you! Recommended.
