Manila's best coffees are really good and cheaper than other coffee shops nearby. Also try their karaleto, carabao ice cream which has 2 flavors, chocolate and vanilla. Also it is pretty cheap and heavy because of its ingredients. I'll definitely go back here.

Coffee is very good, carabao milk ice cream even better... there’s a lot of room for improvement for their pastries and kakanin though. I would suggest a better supplier for a serious upgrade...

So far so good on my two visits here...no complaints except for one...no plugs/outlets for your laptop/mobile or tablet for charging..I was here for a short visit to accomplish some work on my laptop but had to "cut-it-short" since my ultrabook wasnt fully charged. Now for the positives..I LOVE how their coffee pricing is.. which starts at 70 bucks (14oz) to 145 bucks (22oz) which can either be hot, iced or blended. They got an assortment of drinks from Espresso based ones, Tsaa (Tea), Chocolate, Coffee Free, Specialty Blended Lattes, and MBC Signature (Whats chocolate lakatan, spicy chocolate labuyo, ube bukayon, mais con macarons, caramel otap and vanilla barbecue bits??!) They also sell freshly roasted beans (Arabica, House Blends, Excelsa, Barako, and Robusta). Ive tried their Hazelnut Macchiatto and Cafe Mocha, both iced. It was both good! I though it was on the sweet side but it was just the way how I like it. (Perhaps you could tell the barista if you are particular with any taste or sweetness if they can tweak it). Filipiniana is the decor of the coffee bar, with traditional Filipino window panels and plastic crates( or what I think it is) hanging on the ceiling. Its a bit small, accomodating only around 30-ish inside with some outdoor seating on the veranda. Staff is friendly and efficient, enthusiastic (all smiles and cheerful--a bit too cheerful on my last visit they were chatting behind the counter, and chatty with the but all good nonetheless). I don't mind going here over and over again for a quick coffee fix and perhaps some pastry. I tried their Banana Walnut loaf for 40 bucks and I wasn't able to finish the slice. The serving was surprisingly big (compared to the other coffee chains). It was moist, and tasty, not too sweet. This coffee place definitely hits the spot;)

UPDATE 2017: the staff was obnoxiously noisy. Seryoso. Stop.

Cheap, minimalist, delicious and sulit (HUGE SERVING)

I tried their salted caramel gelato, and I was blown away. (And I am a huge caramel hater) And for 55 pesos, I got a ridiculously huge serving!!! (14 oz?)

Their hot green tea latte was unexpectedly thick and foamy, and it's honestly better than Bo's Coffee (I have a separate review on that one)

Blended iced chocolate was A+ too because it tasted simple. It wasn't too sweet, and I had the urge to finish it, although I always make it a point not to finish any chocolate drinks. I usually drink just half of any dairy drink because of dietary reasons, but this one!!! This one is good!! It reminded me of the now phased out Magnolia chocolate drink.

And the interiors! I was so shocked because the interiors impressed me. For a cafe selling really cheap stuff, I was blown away.

Only downside was- I ordered ube gelato, but they
served salted caramel instead. Be careful next time.

Other coffee shops claiming to be "third wave" should take notes from this coffee shop (that doesn't even claim that they're "third wave." )
