We've been having their cakes for years now and the quality has never deteriorated! We've tried Coffee Honeycomb, Classic Ube, Midnight Dream, Mango Magnifico, Sea Salted Honey Crunch and their limited edition, the Strawberry Shortcake! What we kept ordering even on no occasions was the classic ube. Hindi siya nakakaumay and it remains moist and soft even after a long time in the fridge.
I strongly recommend giving classic ube and midnight dream a try (though midnight dream looks like a little too sweet, trust me, tama lang siya!).
Since Valentine's is just around the corner, Caramia has something for you and me. For the second straight year, they are releasing the limited edition, Strawberry Shortcake.
For just Php 1195, show your love with a slice of a light chiffon with cream and fresh strawberries from Baguio. It's not that sweet, and the texture melts in your mouth!
Because of the recommendation of “Masarap Ba?”, an instagram foodie and influencer, many people have come to know Cara Mia’s ube cake. And I’m one of those “kakulto” who got influenced into buying it. Personally it was deliciously OK. There was nothing about it I didn’t like. Perhaps I can’t rave about it because I haven’t really tasted a lot of other ube cakes. But shall I tell you a secret? I left a few slices in the fridge for more than 2 weeks because I forgot about it and yet they were still okay to eat. So I guess quality wise, their cakes are more than a-OK.
Their ube cake is very popular, I keep reading it on food blogs and it is indeed very nice, not too sweet. A slice is P140.
Liked their Gelatos, they give you 2 small scoops for P100. You can try the flavors before buying but since I don’t usually have the patience to try everything my eyes see (cause I’ll surely want to try everything), I just go with my gut.
They do charge you service charge (around 8%) when you dine in so better order from the counter and eat it on the go.
Thanks to Amici's dinner package I got a gelato for free. Wag kayong hater masarap ang choco mint lalo na choco mint ng Cara Mia!!!! Plus I love that I just get to casually eat it inside the resto kasi usually to go na mga ganito lol.
Manila's best tasting Ube Cake. What makes it unique js the soft layers of cake interspersed with real ube and not just flavored cream. Topped a beautiful ube buttercream rosette and ube cake crumbs all over. Makes you eat a bigger slice or if your not too careful like i am, eat the entire mini cake in one sitting. Got this with a greeting for an additional 35pesos cost. Recommended.
First to try out a cake from Cara Mia and the Coffee Honeycomb is the bomb! The cake's layers have the right amount of spongy fluffiness and heavenliness when you took and ate a slice. Their honey crunch (on the top) is too sweet, like caramelized sugar in big chunks!
Would love to try their other cakes and gelato cakes, as well.
Stopped by for dessert after lunch since it was outside Amici, the restaurant we dined in. There are options for both gelato and gelato cakes. The cakes are available as whole cakes or as slices. Plenty of options and it all looks amazing.
Food holiday at ATC is one of my favorite events because I get to try new dishes for a cheaper price! Cake day was just a couple of weeks ago and of course I went and ordered Pistaccio Cioccolato. The free cake was Sea Salt Honey Crunch. Both cakes were delicious. I'm now a fan! Next time I'll try the gelato cakes.
Nothing caps a full meal better than a cup of Caramia Gellato. My personal favorites are the salted caramel and the blueberry cheesecake, having personalities of their own (salted caramel being the bolder choice vs the cheescake which is a safer choice for me), their creations are meant to be consumed in large quantities because one small cup isnt enough. The full and creamy consistency will get you hooked with just one teaspoon full.
