The food was great. They accidentally served one of our main courses while we were still eating our appetizers even when I specifically told the waiter not to serve it together. The waiter did ask and took back the main course to the kitchen. They made a new portion for us which was well appreciated.
Love love love this resto... food is yummy and the best treat is having Matteo around to serve and ask you how the food is with matching selfie pics! 👍😘
It was challenging to find truffle pasta; burrata; and tiramisu that is the same taste that of Rome Italy’s; just when I am about to give up, I found Da Gianni and they were very impressive... problem already solved. It was my 2nd time to dine in here and will definitely go back for more. Keep up the good work guys & keep on shining!⭐️
One of the finest restaurant when it comes in offering authentic Italian Cuisine foods. Quite pricey but it is still worth it. Staffs are attentive and polite. Restaurant is located at the main entrance of Westgate Hub Alabang, beside Anytime Fitness. Parking is not a problem around it. Highly recommended!
Their pizza bianca was so good. There was also truffle oil on the side. 😍 The ragu pasta was okay but the chicken was bland. Still a must try place in Alabang tho. 😊
The food we got was more on the salty side but still really good. The pasta is really only good for one. It’ll only be good for two if the people aren’t that hungry. Tastes good but it takes awhile.
@dagiannimanila presents a medley of home-cooked Italian cuisines prepared with love and quality. Their hearty recipes are enjoyed from one generation to another.
For our starters, we had Insalata Misticanza, Grilled Bone Marrow, and Wild Mushroom Puff. I recommend the Wild Mushroom Puff becasue it was cheesy and creamy as well (like my favorite truffle mushroom pasta), but this time, it's in a pastry bowl. I also recommend the grilled bone marrow because it was sinfully good!
For the pizzas, I recommend the Quattro Formaggio (four-cheese pizza). Aside from the cheesy taste, it has a hint of black truffle as well.
For the pastas, I recommend the Red Pesto (this one is spicy and sweet at the same time). It somehow gives an Asian vibe as well. Of course, I'll recommend the Truffle Pappardelle too (there's something with their truffle cream which makes it addicting and likeable to eat).
For the mains, I recommend the Slow Cooked Short Ribs because it was just sooooo tender and flavorful as well. The serving is big as well.
For a sweet ending, try the Tiramisu and their dessert platter.
Price range is on the higher end but quality was never compromised.
They claim not to be an authentic Italian resto but this place serves one of the best Italian food. The beef pesto pizza is really really good and the mushroom puff pastry is just over the moon. These two are a definite must order.
Other notable things are the bone marrow and the lamb chops. Their orange juice is also really good that I had 3 glasses of it.

We ordered Truffle Pasta, Spinach Dip, Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza, Norweigian Salmon, Baby Squid Salad and the Trio Dessert. We all love the food that we're already planning of coming back. Authentic Italian. Service is excellent. Waiters are very polite and prompt. The waiter had a mistake on the dessert trio so they just gave us a lava cake for free. Icing on the cake was seeing Matteo. He's so kind to check on us and offer a groufie. 😉😊
Was suprised with this pesto with meat pizza (as it seems basic when you read it on the menu) because we liked it! Their chilli oil was good too, perfect for the pizza. Size of the pizza was reasonable for the price. Truffle Parpardelle was so-so, pasta was not cooked al dente.

What I loved about the Insalata Misticanza was how they roasted the bacon very well. Balsamic vinegar is too common for salad sauces but it is what fits the dish. I just hope they venture more in new ingredients for their salads. I would recommend incorporating octopus and pomelo. Bone Marrow has been one of my childhood favorites. When we have bulalo, I always eat the bone marrow and really carve it from the hole. Their grilled bone marrow was irresistible but the marrow you can carve is very little. I hope they serve something thicker. The bone is predominantly thick and you won’t be able to eat that. I’m not a blue cheese person so I choose their Pesto Beef Pizza and I Very much enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and oozing cheese being hot and fresh off the oven. I didn’t feel much of the beef but it’s okay because Pesto and beef complement each other. Their beef stroganoff tagliatelle hit the first spot for beef. I would recommend their Truffle Pappardelle to have Tagliatelle noodles instead. Their Pappardelle is super thick it makes it satiating. Though I loved the spice content of Red Pesto, since it tastes like spicy Kung Pao Chicken I would order Beef Stroganoff because I really love mushrooms. I do not have to explain their wild mushroom puff further, many people love it and I do too. Croissants are my staple bread to eat. Fish Shrimp and Chips is a good order for a classic but, it gets dominated by some dishes since they are a Home Grown and Cooked Italian Restaurant. Fish and Chips is a classic but the wasabi dip is a whole-‘nother level! Their authenticity is shown in more of their Secondi Piatti Dishes which is the Slow Cooked Short Ribs and Grilled Lamb Chops which are my top two dishes for Da Gianni. It is first, very worth the price, soft and juicy. I am not a fan of mint jelly and still love the lamb since it doesn’t feel too greasy. While the Slow Cooked Short Ribs felt like it was marble in your mouth. 8 hours of cooking with love is amazing. With regards to Red Sangria vis-à-vis White Sangria I prefer the latter. The Red Sangria leads to a stronger taste of wine while the White Wine is typically sweeter and I prefer that one better. Last but not least, desserts. Top on my list is the thick and light cream of their Tiramisu Veneziano. Their Savoiardi or sponge fingers add to the light texture of this dessert as the coffee taste does not overpower the whole dessert. They have featured 5 desserts in their dessert platters for us to taste. Their Pannacotta is super light as well. I am a cream person so I approve of their Pannacotta mixture. It is really super rich and light. I would order it again. Though, I prefer the blueberry than the strawberry. For the Lava Cake and Tri Cioccolati, Lava Cake feels like it’s Pannacotta texture and oozing from the inside is amazing chocolate liquid, as an ice cream lover, it is really really good with the vanilla. It adds fluff. While for the Tri Chocolate, it feels a little bit of cocoa powder and a little glutinous like jelly. Over all it is too good as well. I cannot choose so I would say it was a tie as of now. For their Lemon Custard dessert, it is not too sweet nor too sour. Just right for the palette looking for something new and out of the typical. We have been served 18 dishes and Lemon Custard is one of my highlights because I am recognizing the hard work and effort they put into making custards and I am one heck of a fan. They say it is not actually ordered enough because people like typical desserts but it can be compared to meringue though it is better because the custard puts it all together. In another light, since I’m from the north, I’ll be going back to order the Lamb and some new dishes they feature serve, and release every month.
Its been a year since my last visit at Da Gianni. It was just too far from the family abode. But I have not forgotten how scrumptious their food was and how you feel the love with every mouthful. You will know when you eat there yourself.
In the meantime, here was the lunch we enjoyed yesterday...
