Excellent service from everyone. Thumbs up! The food is delicious and waiting time was just tight. Ordered two pieces of gyoza for only 65 pesos.
Always the aficionados for their Chicken Teriyaki, plus their Kakiage Tempura. The rest are just okay, some are a bit pricey for their serving.
Teriyaki Boy is one of the decent Japanese resto that you could go for when you're in SM Marikina. The staff are friendly and prompt. The venue is a tad gloomy because of the somewhat dim lights and yellow hues. Each item in their menu has its own description that's why first-timers won't have the difficulty of choosing what to eat.
I always order their 'Philly Cheese Steak Roll'. The teppanyaki beef of the roll is really tender and tasty. It's topped with delicious flame-torched cheese and is served with a cheese dip as well. Also, I think 8 pcs is cheap for only 180 pesos. My companions just ate when I met them so They had the 'Basic Salad'. It was too disappointing because the mangoes are so sour, and it tastes like they've been stored for a long time. The tomatoes and carrots doesn't taste good as well. The lettuce and cucumber tastes better, but I hope all of the ingredients are fresh 'cause it will affect the overall taste of the food. Their 'Tonkatsu' is a so-so, nothing special about it. The pork slices are tender but too oily. For drinks, we had their 'Green Tea milkshake'. You can really taste the green tea flavor. It's not that creamy, but it's good.
I hope they'll improve the venue and the consistency of their food.
I ordered a Chashu ramen and crunchy California roll. The food is actually average. The presentation of the ramen made me stop and get underwhelmed a little. The noodles were a little soft (not my type for ramen) while the broth was a little lighter than I expected. The chashu cuts were also a little hard, I can tell they fried the pork rather than soften it down in a broth. But anyway it was good enough to satisfy my ramen craving. The rolls were weird. The presentation was questionable. The plate was so long yet the rolls were on only one side while the other side was just the ginger and wasabi. The rolls were also a little bit oily and less crunchy than I expected.
The place is dimly lit. But the service was great. The staff was very accomodating and we never had to ask for refills as they look at your glass and automatically refill it. I am a big believer of service matters sometimes more than the food. Will definitley come back if I'm ever in SM Marikina again.
My all time fave Japanese resto.
A must try is their California Roll with Custard Sauce and Yakisoba.
Watermelon Shake is awesome tho seasonal.
One of the more affordable Jap foods found in most malls. I love their gyuniku ramen, it's quite good for the price. California maki comes in 4 or 8pcs priced at 80 and 150 respectively.

I know that there is a handful of better japanese places out there, but theres really something very comforting about eating at teriyaki boy. For me, teriyaki boy never gets old.
I've been ordering the same thing for years-yakimeshi and tempura. Always. Their yakimeshi is generously filled with pork, carrots, onion, garlic, egg, and chives. The rice is very flavourful and can be eaten by itself. Their tempura is often a hit or miss. Today it was spot on! Fresh shrimps fried in new oil, drained properly, and the batter isnt all that thick.
We've always had pleasant dining experiences at Teriyaki Boy in SM City Marikina. Their service is efficient and the food are satisfyingly good. In this visit, we tried one of the newer items on the menu, the Miso Ramen. The egg noodles, vegetables, shiitaki mushrooms, bean sprouts and ground beef were all cooked well. The broth, though, did not give us enough miso taste and was more on the salty side. The serving size is enough to share and the price reasonable.
The place is charming with a modern decor. The table setting, from the tea kettle to the serving bowls, gives a nice Japanese feel. Some chair cushions, though, need re-upholstery. Restroom is clean and fresh-smelling.
Their service crew, particularly Onin and Bok, have been attentive, alert and always with a ready smile. With these good attributes on hand, customer satisfaction is guaranteed.
Celebrated my 25th birthday here. The place and food are good, however the service? Hmmm. When we asked for water refill, the server snubbed as, when we asked for the bill we need to repeat it four times as the servers are busy talking to each other.
I love eating at this resto. My all time favorite is their seafood bento. I always ask them not to put mayo on my salad and no whip cream on my desert. There I have a complete meal that will last me for a day.
