This place served us great tasting Kare Kare without the super long wait... its the way Kare Kare should taste like. Plus all other dishes were very good. A mist try and we highly recommend Lulas

So good and staff was so nice! Thank you so much! 😊
Bagnet Kare-Kare tastes superb although it can use more veggies. As for the staff, they can try to be more accommodating. Overall, they're worth the visit and I'll be coming back for sure!
Went here to try the Bagnet Kare Kare, which did not disappoint - crispy chunks of bagnet swimming in the most peanutty-tasting sauce I have had in my life, I half expected to bite into a whole peanut as I was eating it. Fresh veggies and shrimp paste were the perfect accompaniments to this rich dish.
The surprise runaway hit was the Lengua in White Sauce - so fragrant, it smelled almost like a pastry dish. One taste and the creamy, buttery sauce enveloping the paper thin, melt-in-your mouth slices of meat rendered me breathless. I will definitely be back for this.
Place is a bit out of the way, but well worth dropping by. You can also rent their space for events.
If you are craving for a very good Kare Kare, i highly recommend Lula's House of Kare-Kare
It will remind you of Kare Kare that your mom used to cook. They don’t scrimp on ingredients, you can actually taste the nutty goodness with just the right amount of sweetness. Paired with quality bagoong alamang and I assure you, you can’t help but order extra rice. 😁
The owner and her staff are friendly. They will make you feel that you are dining at home.

Excerpt: The “Original Lula’s House of Kare-kare” tasted good. Kare-kare is a stew of thick peanut sauce and is accompanied by bagoong alamang (fermented shrimp paste). The meat and vegetables tasted really clean which is not so common with other kare-kares out there. The only issue we had was that the sauce was a little too runny and bland (even if we put bagoong).
The bagnet (double or triple-fried pork belly) was so good. Like really good. We ordered another serving. The skin stuck to our teeth, which is a sign of a good bagnet (or crispy pata, or lechon kawali). The meat was juicy and not dry. It was a delicious dish.
The bulalo (Pinoy beef marrow stew) was ok. The meat was soft and almost tasted like corned beef, and the broth was rich.

Kare-Kare has always been a fave of mine and so I have been dying to try Lula's. I loved their Kare-kare and you can feel the love and effort of the people behind the dish. There bagoong is also very good.
The serving is ample. I think the use tripe and pata to be fair and improves the over all flavor of the dish.
The kare-kare lover in me is satisfied.
Lula’s House is located in a residential area. The space is a garage creatively converted to a restaurant. I tried their famous Kare-Kare (good for 1-2pax) which I must say tastes really good. You can really taste the peanuts mixed well with the sauce. The bagoong is especially made to compliment their own version of Kare-Kare. Their serving is really enough for the indicated ideal number of people to eat. I also tried their bagnet which I thought I won’t be able to eat because I’m wearing braces. But surprisingly, I was able to because the skin is crispy-soft and the meat is so tender and chewable for me. Their houseblended iced tea tastes really good because of the real hint of tea. Would definitely go back!
I tried their lengua and it’s one of the best. Their crispy pata and kare kare is also good. We were really satisfied. Value for money. Must try!
If you are looking for very good Kare Kare, you’ll find it here in Lula’s. Tried it several times and the taste is the same! Super yummy. I can taste the peanut di tinipid. I Love the crispy pata & red sauce lengua as well. Oh boy! two cups of rice is not enough. 😋😋
Lula's House of Kare-Kare is indeed one of the hidden gems in the eastern side of the metropolis. We were invited there by friends from Industrial Valley months ago.
It must have been love at first bite between the food and my taste buds. Served in generous quantity, their signature dish - kare-kare tasted like it was cooked the old school way for half a century already by my mother (and late grandmother, too), using only pure and fresh ingredients, unlike many of today's typical versions which are laced with instant seasonings and artificial color.
My family will definitely be there again for kare-kare apart from their truly crispy 'crispy pata' and bagnet which were both fried golden brown, crunchy on the outside with the fat seeming to melt in the mouth with every bite. We will try the other specialties sometime soon.
The place feels homey, especially with the owners - a mother and daughter tandem (I forgot to write their names on paper), personally entertaining us diners, table after table while assisting the waitress in serving the hot food to us. Resto owners who value their customers that way are becoming a rarity nowadays. I'm sure many leave the place feeling as if they were special guests of the owners.
While one may consider Industrial Valley a bit far off, it should be worth traveling from our place through C5 traffic to feast on Lula's delicacies, at prices that do not hurt the pocket.
