This place has the best Inihaw na Bangus!! The best I’ve tasted so far. Their pork barbeque and isaw are also soooo good!

I used to look forward to Sundays because that used to be the day when the fam and I will go out for lunch. Sunday was the day when I don’t need to worry about what to prepare for my hungry, yet discriminating hubby and kids because we will let our resto choice for the day take care of all that for us.

Well, as we all know, dining out has been curtailed due to the community quarantine (and rightly so, considering the steadily rising number of COVID-19 cases). While I’m thankful for the relative safety of home, I do sometimes seek a break from the toil of preparing food for the fam.

Thankfully, Mang Ding’s Pinoy BBQ, Marikina’s destination for street food that’s Malinis, Masarap at Mura, has innovated its product line to include frozen packs of its signature ihaw dishes that #TeamBahay momshies like me can cook at home.

It was just recently that we found out about this barbecue place in Marikina. We visited this place on a Friday night and boy it was packed! Good thing is that the place is quite big so there’s still a table for us. Their restaurant was set in the front yard and garden area of the house so eating here feels like you’re just having a barbecue party with friends.

We love their sisig! It’s flavorful and spicy. Their chicken isaw and pork barbecue taste nice as well. Not a fan of their pork isaw. The good thing here is that you get to have a clean isaw.

If you have a barkada to bring for a night out of drinking and eating, this is a good place for that.

something’s wrong w/ the ZOMATO APP!!

if you got ‘em yearning for pinoy bbq, mang dings in marikina has the better option for these sticks of meat. u want pork, chicken or fish?! here, they serve resto quality charcoal grilled numiness.

i hope they open a branch near makati, though i tell yah that this dining place (w/c is an extension of the owner’s garage) is well worth the visit to marikina.

their pork bbq’s a winner! the pork was so tender and the marinade seep through the meat that the flavors were right on the money, then the char from the grilling added a new dimension on taste to these sticks of meat. remarkable i’d say and so perf w/ a glass or teo of your ice cold beer faves!

earlier i mentioned that it’s the better option. as compared to the ones sold in the streets, mang dings ascertains that what you eat here are resto quality and clean street food offerings. their isaw, w/c by the way share the same sentiment of yummy w/ the bbq, has been cleaned inside and out before it hits the grill.

for the apprtizers, i bowled over the cheesy corn and the dulong ensalada. simple yes, but arent the delicious ones?!

When it comes to street food, I’d like to say that one can find the best around Asia, most specifically in South East. Notable places are Singapore, Bangkok, Taiwan and South Korea. And of course, the street food scene in the Philippines is as exciting as the other countries that I’ve mentioned earlier. There are similarities and differences with the Filipino street food among these SE Asian countries, but it’s always the sanitation concerns of these street food that are always put up in question.

I'm a huge street food lover. At Mang Ding, you'll taste the difference. The meat was tender the flavor was great and everything taste so clean. As in! I bet you, even the person who don't eat intestine would enjoy.

The place is super okay. Relax feel at home vibe as it's somehow isolated to the drinking alley of Marikina. Highly recommended. Actually me and my friends are planning a visit anytime soon. Lol.

MANG DING'S PINOY BARBEQUE
Buenviaje St, Sto. Nino, Marikina City

Hindi ko ikinakaila na I love pinoy street foods particularly isaw manok, isaw baboy and tenga ng baboy; and what I love about this place is their goal of serving Filipino of all ages their MALINIS, MASARAP at MURA na mga pagkain.

Having eaten a lot of kanto street foods (thank God hindi naman ako nagkasakit), I could really tell the difference of those literally sold sa kanto kanto and what is sold here at @mangdingspinoy barbeque, MALINIS talaga sya because they was their meat number of times, tapos MASARAP dahil sa homemade barbeque sauce ni Mang Ding, at MURA pa rin sya kung tutuusin dahil sa quality ng kanilang gawa.

It was just a weekend family hobby turned to something more...

MALINIS, MASARAP at MURA na Pinoy Barbeque and Street Foods.

At ito ang mga patok na pinoy foods na pedeng pagsaluhan habang umiinom ng masarap na flavored beers:

ISAW MANOK 5/5
- I really like this one burnt but this place made me realize that it is better when it is soft and chewy with the perfect bbq sauce and dipped in vinegar, when i hope that the vinegar would be a little spicy, or maybe I should have asked for sili haha.

ISAW BABOY 5/5
- eating isaw baboy sa kanto is really a risk because sometimes there are still unknown things that are left inside which makes it bitter with its distinct taste, but here, its amazing that I wasn't able to taste those something horrible inside haha. I would really recommend this place for having the CLEANEST ISAW BABOY ever!

TENGA NG BABOY 5/5
- this probably the most TENDER tenga ng baboy I ever ate as in it literally melts in your mouth. Though I was aiming for the chewy litid haha. It was really good.

PORK BARBEQUE 5/5
- it was tender and perfectly seasoned and very affordable!

CHICKEN BARBEQUE 4/5
- taste was good and cooked well, walang dugo dugo. But I hope they could one distinct spice that would make it a little bit different with all the barbeque.

ENSALADANG DULONG 4/5
- it was something new for me, I like the fried dulong alone, but I find it a little salty when mixed with the other ingredients.

INIHAW NA TALONG 4/5
- best paired with the barbeque and rice.

BONELESS BANGUS 4/5
- I find it underseasoned or maybe I should have eaten this before the savory ones hehe, But I like how it was presented.

Food are really good and affordable.

Also the servers are quick and accommodating plus they know what they are serving.

The place at night is well lit, I like how the place looks like, it is so homey, simple and clean.

Perfect tambayan for that not so walwal foodtrip with beer.

This place is highly recommended to street food lovers out there like me, and also for those first timers who would like to try these kind of foods but is so hesitant with the cleanliness. Guaranteed CLEAN!
