They made one of the best dumplings in Binondo. The line is always long for dine in, just have more patience in waiting.
I never miss this place whenever I am in the area. The best kuchay dumplings in Binondo. Make sure to pair it with their cold Herbal Tea drink.
The best in Chinatown.
This is one place I never miss visiting everytime I go to Binondo. I can finish a whole plate of kutchay pork dumplings on my own. I swear, I salivate just thinking about it.
and the winner is.. dong bei! out of all the various stops during our recent binondo food trip, this was THE. BEST. 🤤🤤🤤
naghintay kami saglit sa labas ng resto kasi wala pang vacant table, and waited again upon being seated, pero worth iiiiiit. we ordered the fried chicken sinjang, xiao long bao, kuchay, and fried rice. lahat mesherep, besh - but our faves were the XLB and kuchay. 🤤🤤
Hashtag No Ragrets. Hashtag Busog na Busog. Hashtag Sana Maulit Muli. 🙈
This restaurant is the most popular in youtube for Binondo foodtrip vloggers, and the most popular dish is the Kuchay Dumplings. It has 14 pcs of dumplings. Their Kuchay Dumplings are just the typical dumplings, but honestly, it really goes well with their sauce, don't know how to explain the sauce becasue it doesn't really taste like a soy sauce.. but it's really great! 200php is not bad for 14 pcs of dumplings.
Pork Dumpling
Pork Dumplings has thin dumpling wrapper filled with well-seasoned pork and vegetables making the former flavorful, especially when dipped on their signature sauce.
Each dumpling is made and cooked daily to make sure that Dong Bei serves fresh and flavorful dumplings to their customers. Dong Bei Pork Dumplings costs Php 180.00 per servings
Beef Noodle
Dong Bei Beef Noodle has al dente noodles; tender and well-seasoned beef; and flavorful soup. The former has a mixture of beefy flavor with a tinge of salty, sour and sweet taste making the soup taste weird but delicious.
One of the best places to get dumplings in Binondo. You can see this place makes their dumplings on the spot. The vegetable dumpling is a must! Their chili oil is mind blowing (for some reason) and what's really great is that the dumplings are also available frozen!
This place is kinda hidden, just use your waze or google maps to locate it.
It's been a while since I had a solo food trip and the first location that I wanted to go to was Binondo. I searched for the best place to eat and Dong Bei was one of the highly recommended restaurant. Just a summary... I finished the whole thing in 5 minutes! 😂😂😂
4 stars for the great dumplings made and cooked fresh.
When we went in there was only 1 customer although none of the staff greeted us despite making dumplings fresh on the tables literally facing the door. So yeah, customer service here isn't great, not even good. The staff seems unfriendly. The restaurant wasn't clean at all, even if it wasn't packed or busy they don't clean up the place right away which bothered me because the tables are sticky and the sauces seem messy also. When we were about to pay, one of the ladies was too busy in the back (maybe cleaning) and just told us to leave it on the table, a bit rude, and there was no "Thank you" when we left out the door like we weren't there at all.
The dumplings are delicious though, just like in the many positive reviews. Dong Bei needs to improve work ethic and cleanliness.
Always craving for Kuchay Dumplings since I tasted it.
I'm not sure if it was because of the hype or was it because it's my first time to eat Kuchay Dumplings... All I know is that I went a bit crazy and have found myself always craving for the said dumplings since I tasted it.
Will keep coming back for more.
This was our first stop in our Binondo food crawl because lines are usually long and wait time takes 15-30 minutes during lunch. So I would recommend making this he first stop in your crawl if you plan to do one. As part of our crawl, we only ordered one dish from each restaurant and the kuchay dumpling was highly recommended by all the blogs we’ve read. It was okay but I would say it is hyped up. You need to make your own sauce to taste to make the flavors of the dumpling shine more.
Ive never actually dined-in here. But we always get take out dumplings whenever we’re in the area. I have to say, their dumplings are the best, and he basis from which I compare all other dumplings in the city
