The concept of the resto brings memories of our Hispanic culture which influenced us of Catholicism.... Food is great, pastries and cakes are baked right something that I would love to come back . Had influenced colleagues to dine, they themselves would love too. Price is reasonable... Most of all it has an atmosphere of bringing us in the past, simple and peaceful.

First time i noticed this resto was during our visita iglesia and it was full of diners and already closing at the time. Had a chance to visit intramuros again and made it my mission to dine here finally. Ordered crispy pata, fresh lumpia and the three-sauce pasta for lunch. We had leche flan and pistachio cream cake with coffee for dessert. Sulit sa presyo ang sarap! Came back later for halo-halo and salad after our tour of intramuros. Definitely looking dorward to another chance to eat here again and try other offerings in the menu.

Thank you for a hassle-free event, good food and for the best service ever. Thank you Ms May for accommodating my son’s baptismal lunch social event. Our guest really loves the food and the ambiance / set up was really great. Kudos to the staff! 5-stars are not enough. God bless!

This resto was a pleasant surprise to me and my daughter. I guess the best word to describe it is "quaint". It has a charming and attractive atmosphere to it despite being a little old fashioned.. The interior definitely has a religious feel but doesn't overpower or drowns the senses, Actually it was rather calming and serene. There were no loud music and even conversation among diners was kept to a minimum. that is my favored crowd, sensitive to the enjoyment of another's meal. Love their food too. Intramuros is a long way from our home but i reckon, if it was that good the first time, it certainly is worth coming back for more.

The paella was good, the pancit was flavorful, the kalabasa okoy was near perfect but, saving the best for last, the blueberry cheesecake and the ube flan cake were great. We’ll definitely be back.

nice little restaurant tucked in the middle Intramuros.

don't expect anything mind-blowing or spectacular. this restaurant is not for an unforgettable gastronomical experience. that said, the food is simple, homey, and familiar. they serve the kind of food you'd find in your relatives' home when you visit, which in itself is definitely not a bad thing. perfect if you just want a warm, pleasant, filling meal.

particularly liked the Crusted Crispy Tilapia with Coconut Milk Sauce for its rich dip and the Pancit Canton for its traditional take on this all-time favorite.

plus point: you get to eat right in front of the renowned San Agustin Church.

Aside from their interior full of historical and religious bric-a-bracs. Another beautiful thing about this place is that they employ “these-abled (disabled)” people as servers. The one assigned to us was mute but he was accommodating and even recommended drinks for us to try.

They have A LOT (as in uber wide selection of items) on their menu which made it hard for us to choose what to eat and ended up ordering just seafoods. 😂

We had Crispy Calamares which were lightly breaded and crispy but had a tender and chewy but not rubbery meat, Bangus Belly Steak which was a little disappointing because we thought that it would be served in a hot/sizzling plate (steak style), instead it was sort of just Bangus with red and green peppers, but the Baked Salmon with Spinach which was super cheesy tasted really really delicious and we liked it although we didn’t see any spinach. For the drinks, we had Fresh Buco Lychee and Mango Shake.

Their servings are big and we were full after eating. We’ll definitely go back to this restaurant to try other dishes if ever we’re in the area again. ❤️❤️❤️

We set off for Manila to explore the museums in Intramuros and the nearby Luneta area. We started with an early meal to fuel our day. Since we were first headed to Casa Manila, which was adjacent to San Agustin Church, we chose the resto fronting the church. Since it was quite early in the day, we had the place almost to ourselves and we sat by the window overlooking the church. The menu featured the usual Filipino dishes that we assumed were slightly elevated and were named after popular people in the faith. We had Crusted Crispy Tilapia w/ Coconut Milk Sauce (Php228) and Pinakbet (Php178). The sauce of the former properly complemented the fish while the latter had ampalaya, which we do not actually add to our home cooked pinakbet because my hubby does not eat it. The servings were generous so we ordered another cup of rice to share between us. What was also remarkable for the restaurant was that part of their crew were people who were disabled.

First time I heard about this, I was walking to Fort Santiago. I found out it was ran by CBCP and since I came from Catholic schools that served really good food, I had to try it. I ordered their pasta with shrimp in garlic sauce and my sister ordered their beef salpicao. Both were, for the lack of a better term, heavenly and I absolutely fell in love. Will definitely come back here again!

As part of our annual tradition, we had breakfast at the Ristorante Delle Mitre after the Chrism Mass at the Manila Cathedral. As expected, it was full. We were promptly seated, however, service was a bit slow, but we were fine with it. Food quality is alright, but it can still be improved. I ordered the breakfast set with waffles, eggs, and bacon.

My husband and son were taking photos in Intramuros and we decided to take a break and have some coffee and refreshments here. Their heart-shaped silvanas in 3 flavors was yummy! 😋 We will definitely go back soon to try their main dishes! Menu looks very interesting...will post again next time to update 😊

I give the place a 5 since it was very nostalgic and heart warming since we entered the restaurant. It was cozy, well-lighted and airconditioned. I like how the table was set before you arrive. Everything was clean inside out.

I give the food a 4, the salmon was good, it was seasoned well. Same goes with the pesto pasta and the pork medallion. I just find the mashed potato too creamy, perhaps a little touch of salt will do. I really love the cake especially the pecan chocolate cake (it is a must try!). There are so many options from seafood to pork, beef and poultry.

I gave the staff a 5 as they were prompt, very accomodating and polite.

However, the staff had no uniform, it would be good if they have, for us to be able to identify the servers/waiters with ease. Overall, our experience was great.

I give a 3.5 to a 4 because I order the same set of food whenever I go here and that can say a lot about their consistency ladies and gentlefolks. The balance points would be because I never got attracted to the other options. It can be overwhelming really.

What I always eat: halaan soup, seafood chopsuey, crispy pata.
What to drink after: brewed coffee
Dessert? Not so much.

I ordered crispy laing before but the bicolano in me is not ok with it haha but it was not bad. I just felt it was too much to wrap it in lumpia wrapper and deep fry.

But plus points for the staff, kind and quick to act. It's a good resto especially if you are with your parents.

We went to San Agustin Church to attend the ceremony and before even going there, I searched in Zomato a good place to eat after and this one came up with a high rating. I went ahead and tried it and I was not disappiointed at all. We ordered Laing, Bicol Express, Crispy pata, Seafood Kare-Kare, Chicken with fries, Blueberry cheesecake and brewed coffee. I loved all of it! The Bicol Express was a bit salty but it had the right amount of spiciness that I liked. The coffee was very good so I could not resist to ask where their coffee came from. The ambiance fit the location — nostalgic. Wooden tables, old pictures on the walls, etc. Waiting time for the food was acceptable. Friendly staff, too. I am really satisfied with my experience here and will definitely go back.

Right within the old city, there is this little gem of a place. We called in for lunch and the menu is massive, can i say way too big so a few items we initially ordered were not available. I ordered the grilled eggplant, tomato and pesto sandwich. When it came out i noticed the bread wasn't toasted which i asked if they could toast which they gladly did. Can i say it was pretty good, loads of flavour and no complaints. For dessert i ordered the half Iime cheesecake which was beautiful and topped with candied calamansi lime pieces. I suggest for any place, reduce your menu and concentrate of the things you do well.

Situated at the heart of Intramuros is this subtle café near the San Agustin Church. It really takes you back in time when you step in but in a good way. Now, the food was sumptuously sinful....err good haha. From left to right we had the Pinakbet, Paella Negra & Pork Humba. These 3 dishes are already fit for 2 if you ask me since it encompasses vegetable, rice & meat. For the Pinakbet, it really tasted like that of which you will find in Ilocos. Not that much fancy but the flavor profile gives you nostalgia. For the indulgent meat lover, their Pork Humba can be very filling, as the serving may seem small but it packs quite a lot of flavor, savoring the meaty goodness of fall off the bone pork in its sweet humba sauce. Lastly is the Paella Negra, slathered in ink sauce & covered with a handful of clams, it gives that much needed contrast with the earthy vegetables & pork that we already had. The taste itself can’t seem to be compared to most other seafood cooked elsewhere but it does give that oceanic sense of dining. It was a truly magnificent experience that you may have to pay more but worth the visit.

Ive been hearing a lot of good comments about this place so my friend and i decided to have lunch here. My second time in this place but first time to eat. The laing was good but not spicy (which is okay for me haha). it had a few chili flakes on top though so if you bite that then youll feel the kick. the bangus belly steak is okay but bland. i guess the chef was rushing because the place is jampacked. the tuna belly is not for sharing because its 4 pieces only (1 bangus cut into 4).
the restroom is clean and the guard is nice. you can see the servers rushing around trying to serve everybody.
overall good experience.

One of my favorite fine dining restos! I used to work in Intramuros and me and my colleagues often had lunch here. My favorites are their Seafood Kare Kare and Crispy Pata! By the way, I heard their cooks are PWDs or some sort. This place reminds me so much of my Kapampangang Lolo because they taste like a special home cooked dishes during our family gatherings. The ambience is good as well sans the price.

Paella was superb! The seafood toppings were generous and the rice was cooked just right. It was dry nor coarse. It was smooth and moist, but not watery.

Their crab mango salad had the proper leaves- romaine and not iceberg lettuce. It had strips of arugula and crab, along with a slab of cream cheese. Yum

The carrot cake was made of carrot strips with walnuts. It was true to its word, carroty and less of the cake’s spongy texture.

Their coffee was also spot on. It was not bitter, but still had the caffeine kick.

Ambiance was really homey and religious. The displays were statues and relics of the church. Indeed, a very nice place to eat and reflect at the same time.

My friend recommended this place to me when I went to Intramuros. I actually already know of the place since my friend usually gives me their calamansi cheesecake, unfortunately that time it didnt popped out of my head.

So I went to this place and was quite satisfied with the ambiance. Satisfied, but not thrilled. The place is just so-so for me, I think they tried to capture the Filipino theme but there is still something lacking in this place i just cant quite seem to point it out. I know that this restaurant is owned by the CBCP, but the tall manequin of the bishop there just gives me the creeps.

As for the food I ordered their pumpkin soup, bbq pork ribs and their baked mussels. Had a hard time finishing up their pumpkin soup. I was expecting a creamier pumpkin soup but to no avail. I dont like the taste of their croutons as well. It's odd. So I wasnt able to enjoy it. As for their food, the bbq pork ribs is a delight, would have been ok if it was cooked to perfection that the meat isnt hard. The bbq sauce was ok. As for the baked mussel, i love it but there's this malansa taste. As for their wine, not happy as well

The staff is accommodating and is very attentive to my needs.

One of my parents' favorite restaurants, Ristorante Delle Mittre offers a wide selection of American, Spanish and Filipino cuisine. My parents usually take our foreign visitors and balikbayans here. (We also celebrated my graduation day here too, hehe)

The restaurant is part of CBCP. It's interior design is inspired by the Catholic Church and it's leaders (Cardinals, Bishops, and such). If you check the menu, each viand/plate is named after each Catholic icon.

The restaurant is located at the heart of Intramuros, in front of San Agustin church. Parking is readily available. Can seat up to 100 pax.

We usually order the ff:
Carding's Regular Crispy Pata - P418; good for 3 to 4 pax
Bishop Roberto Mallari's Lemongrass Chicken Soup - P208; good for 3 to 4 pax

The dishes mentioned above are heavenly - both in sight and in flavor. You want to keep ordering it again and again, because it really tastes good.

So dear friends and relatives, and kababayans, please visit this restaurant, it won't fail your tastebuds!

Bistro atmosphere in this restaurant decorated with christian objects of faith. Indeed it is situated in front of Saint Augustine Church. Good is OK from whst I could taste. Wide range of italian anfld filipino dishes. Set menus offers a quite substantial amount of food at a very reasonnable price. Pale green walls. Service is fine. So nothing fancy but a very good option for lunch when you visit Intramuros. They also have a nice display of cakes that look delicious and are reasonably price. But I did not try them.

If you're in Manila, this is the perfect dining place. Why? Three things: great ambiance, accommodating staff, good food and reasonable price (really, really affordable compared to nearby restaurants like Barbara's and Ilustrados). I recommend their seafood kare-kare!

A little tip: buy a pack of plain peanuts while waiting for your order. It's a yummy appetizer and very Filipino!

Was just here for an afternoon coffee/dessert so this review will cover just that aspect..

Its a cozy, religious-concept cafe (its owned by the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines) right across San Agustin church. It was a hot summer afternoon and the airconditioned spot was a welcome respite from the heat.

Staff was accomodating and friendly. Service was quick. Interiors are filled with religious artifacts, wooden furniture (Filipino-Spanish-esque if you may).

We had brewed coffee (brown sugar and frothed milk on the side), chocolate fudge cake and apple-cinnamon cheesecake, and fresh strawberry shake (not in photo)

Coffee was okay, with the right amount of caffeine, not bland as well. The chocolate fudge cake was right on the spot, not too sweet, moist with a hint of deep cacao flavor. The apple-cinnamon tasted more of a cinnamon-cheesecake, the slices of apple was there but overpowered. The base is a bit dry in my opinion. (My friend thought it was a banana cake base).

Overall, I would like to be back here, as an alternative to the nearby (more expensive) restaurants, with a good view of San Agustin Church and the street vibe outside. A good spot as well for bringing foreign visitors/guests.

This is my 3rd visit , but I can't hide my feeling that this so far one of my favorite restaurants in Manila. They served great food ,all cooked with perfection by their lead Chef who is also a Nun. My top favorites are their crispy knuckles , paella , carbornara , spaghetti with meat balls and fresh lumpia. Price is affordable and serving is good for 2-3 persons. All the waiters and waitresses are very accommodating. The place is always full packed during lunchtime that's why it is recommended to go there before 1130am.
The place is located in Intramuros CBCP just in front of San Agustin Church. My only issue is the limited parking space in the area. But this place is definitely worth a revisit.

Every time I go to Intramuros, a stopover in this place is mandatory. During merienda times I would order the empanaditas and coffee. The empanaditas were what kept me coming back here, as they are light and flavorful. The coffee was nothing special.

Lately, I've had the chance to eat lunch here. So far I have particularly enjoyed their fish dishes such as grilled sole and fried tawilis, which are just lightly seasoned and not overdone. Their pesto pasta is flavorful, and not too oily. Salpicao here could have bigger servings but the meat and sauce were tasty enough.

However my consistent problem here is the service. It's somewhat slow, even when it's no longer peak hours. Still, worth going back to.

I went here with my fiancé. We were told the Crispy pata was good enough for 2-3 people. That was a bold faced lie. The crispy pata only had enough meat for 1 who eats a small portion, not for 2-3 adults! The criapy pata costs 388php and so its a TOTAL RIP-OFF! I was honestly very angry at the restaurant for serving this mostly fat and bone meal at such a high price. The leg itself is an undesirable cut and probably costs 20-40 php to buy yet they charge so much for it and recommend it to patrons to get the restaurant earning more money. I hate it. It tastes good but only has 1 handful of pork. You may be better off buying lechon Kawali from this place or another meat or seafood dish.

The pancit canton i bought had msg in it. Im ok with that but i think its cheating to fool us that it tastes better than it actually does. Its just OK.... Not bad. Good. Not great.

The garlic rice is good.

The hot mocha macamedia coffee is overpriced considering the portion. It was enough and tastes good but... consider buying a cup elsewhere if ur used to a taller cup. I tried getting butterscotch iced coffee at first but at 12-simething pm it was unavailable.

Overall i would eat here again. I will try their pistachio cake and paella next time. But the price of the pata for what we got still makes me mad!

If you fancy dining with large tour groups from Intramuros, looking at church relics, and having your photos taken with bishops, saints, and the Pope, this is the place to be. Breads and soups were good. I even bought breadsticks to go. Salads and the crispy pata were sad, sad, saaaaad items on the menu. Our Spanish prof took us here for lunch as part of our field trip itinerary. We ordered the paella valenciana to split between 2 and were pleasantly surprised that it's HUGE. We had to share it with our other classmates so nothing would go to waste! What I didn't like is it tasted a little too bland for my liking. I love paella because my family cooks amazing paella and this one just doesn't come close. The biggest dealbreaker was the chorizo. They use chorizo macau or something similar, which is the sweet, cheaper kind, instead of chorizo bilbao. Without good chorizo, I don't think it can ever be considered good paella, but I guess it's pwede na. The huge serving made up for the lackluster taste cause we were really full after.

Love it here!!

This one is just across San Agustin Church in Intramuros. As is typical of establishments in the walled city, Delle Mitre's interiors give the feel of an era gone by. Curiously, and idk if it's just me, while most places like this give me an eerie vibe, I felt very much at ease here. No creepy vibes at all despite the looming icons and the faces of bishops from ages ago printed on the placemats.

The menu items are named after bishops. Quite interesting. I wonder if they were randomly named, or they were the recipes or favorites of said bishops.

My dad and I both loved our respective breakfast sets. The bacon was cooked just right. I'm usually iffy about ordering bacon at restaurants because it's quite a tricky thing to cook. Sometimes they serve something too toasted you barely feel the meat, sometimes it's not fried well enough that the fat makes it too gross to eat. But their bacon here has just the right amount of crispiness :) I tried the lucban longganisa my dad ordered and we both loved it! It has a distinct flavor - not too powerful - that tickles your tastebuds. Plus points too for the crispy skin! It was soooo good. As for the pancake, it was the right amount of fluffy. My dad described it as "makunat," in a good way. Not how pancakes are typically done.

Would love to come back here for an early morning study session, as there are barely people during those hours (idk about lunch onwards). The place has a welcoming feel to it, like you're at the house of your grandmother in the province or something :)

Good value for money. What they earn, the CBCP uses for its charities :)

For our dessert, we had Silvannas(my personal favorite). Everything's creamy and perfectly cooked. I just don't like the design of the restaurant. They've put up relics of important symbols of the Catholic Church but I think it was too much. I'll be back to have a war again with the Crispy Pata and SILVANNAS!!! And Oh, I love idea of employing deaf mute kababayans. Kudos!

When you're strolling around Intramuros, Restorante Della Mitre is the perfect place to grab a meal and enjoy a quiet conversation. The ambiance does blend beautifully with the overall theme of Intramuros.  The ambiance is amazing.

As for the food, it's pretty good but nothing spectacular. They name their meals after Filipino bishops so that's an interesting. I particularly liked their longanisa (Vigan or Cebu). The meals would seem a bit pricey though. Oh, and I caution you against their tapas since its pretty expensive for its quality.

Food Quality: 3.5
Service Quality: 3.5
Ambiance: 4.5

Overall Quality: 4.0

Restorante Della Mitre is a great restaurant that completes the Intramuros experience. You should at least give it a try.

I had high expectations of this place, although I've also heard a lot of "horror" stories (e.g., that the taste and serving time, and even availability of the dish depend on the mood of the nuns who cook). Well, suffice it to say that I was pleasantly disappointed.

Located right across the San Agustin Church, the decor is religious, the place old and kinda dank, and the ambiance somewhat somber. I can say the same for the food I've tried. I ordered frittata expecting to have a thick egg and mushroom dish, but I got an omelet instead, while the bread basket contained maybe 5 or 6 slices of bread. My companion ordered some pasta dish that didn't look too appetizing (I didn't even bother to take a photo of it). The redeeming factor of the whole meal would probably be the silvanas, which were okay.

Service is a bit slow (even to the billing out), prices kinda expensive for the serving size and taste. Nevertheless, I'd still give this a second chance to try their other dishes--their menu is voluminous! Colleagues highly recommend their crispy pata, by the way. Come here for the experience, but for better food, head on over to Illustrado.

We had our lunch at this place run by priests and nuns as what my mom told me. Good thing she recommended this place because their food was really tasty and delicious. It's a bit pricey but it's worth it.

We had fried chicken with fries, tilapia strips rice topping, grilled salmon with mashed potato and pinakbet.

I enjoyed the chicken and fries served with tomato ketchup. It was crispy juicy. The tilapia strips were also one of my favorite! It exceeded my expectation. It was cooked well. It wasn't that oily. Grilled salmon was good, too. Hindi malansa at hindi din smelly. The pinakbet was cooked well. The veggies were not overcooked. The string beans where still crunchy when served. The sauce, it's not too salty at hindi din malansa sa amoy.

Overall, it was a good dining experience! Worth the try! We weren't disappointed. We were accommodated well, we were directed at the table on the left wing of the restaurant. The ambience is okay. Didn't try their pastry but will definitely try them soon.

If I will be back in this area again, I'd definitely dine at this place again!

A place with so many choices such that it covers so many types of dishes -- from Filipino breakfast, to Japanese staples. For an indecisive person like me, that's quite an ordeal but after some thought, I decided on trying the baked oysters, which were definitely heaven, and the Chicken with pasta, which was also good. As for dessert, their cream puffs were alright, and the apple cinnamon cheesecake was very tasty and not very sweet.

Before heading home after my Mom's meeting. we saw this shop and was intrigued. the place for me at first was a little bit creepy tho. They have huge selection of food on their menu but since we just ate, we just tried their cakes.
I ordered calamansi cheesecake just because I want to try something different. My Mom and her friend on the other hand ordered the ube and mango cake. Its totally worth every peso!
planning on coming back one of these days.

Was supposed to eat at Barbara's however it was closed that day. It sure was not unfortunate since we were able to dine in this resto and tasted the best pumpkin soup i've ever had so far (im a pumpkin soup lover by the way). And yes, their crispy pata is superb...crunchy outside but very tender inside. No need to make use of a knife...you could practically finish it with only the bone left (literally and figuratively speaking)! When you find yourself within the walls of Intamuros, i suggest you try this one out.

If you want a nice place where you can have peace of mind, I will definitely recommend you to try it. The ambiance of the place is very cool and sort of a "solemn" since it is within the vicinity of of CBCP where you can see bishops, priest and nuns eating there.

When it comes to the food, I really find it very tasty. We only oredered oxtail kare-kare at crispy pata but we we're satisfied in terms the taste and serving size. I can say it was really worth it :)

Bonus: most of the menu are named after some priest, bishops and archbishops which I also find a bit cool :)

Very nice ambiance; staff are approachable and make sure guests are well taken cared of. They also have cool menu and almost have the best of a restaurant that may offer. Especially the pistacchio caramel sansrival, really a must-try!
