We decided to eat here after visiting the Oceanarium and Penguins. The place is faving the Manila Bay so we have a nice view and the interiors are very Asian. Service is good as the waiters are attentive (we ate here during off peak so we are not sure if it is the same during peak hours).
The waiter suggested for us to get the set meal for 3 and just add rice and viand if we want. Everything we had are delicious! My sister and Mom who is not a fan of spicy food, loved the Kangkong with sambal sauce. It was my first time to try the Pork Satay and i loved the peanut sauce that comes with it. We also had Lechon Macau, Soy Chicken and Egg soup which are all delicious as well. We just added Salt and Pepper Spareribs and the vinegar is perfect with it. You should also try their Oreo Cheescake! It is just perfect!

PS. Was not able to take a pic of the Salt and Pepper Spareribs.

One of the best restaurant in Manila Ocean Park. Foods are great with reasonable price. Ambience is so sophisticated and nice with lots of businessmen and family who dine in there. The staff are so polite and hospitable. Our son celebrated his birthday there and gave us free mini tiramisu cakes with birthday candle. We felt so special that day because of their warm service. Overall satisfied with the food and service. Will come back here again.

PS. Their blueberry cheesecake is one of the best 😄❤️

Probably my best restaurant experience in terms of hospitality. Been here with my 2kids to celebrate the birthday of my 2nd child. We experienced great service and hopefully if we return again in the coming years in Manila Ocean Park, we can dine here again.

Makan in Malay terms means “Eat”. We are all fond of eating and it is part of our everyday life. If you have been to Manila Ocean Park, it’s impossible to not notice this Asian Food Village with nice interiors called Makan Makan. We were treated to a lunch full of Asian goodness at Makan Makan for Zomato Philippines Sneak Peek! We tried their best-selling dishes:

Tucked inside the Manila Ocean Park is a restaurant which offers a symphony of asian flavors. Makan Makan Asian Food Village has an extensive menu of Malaysian, Singaporean and other delicacies from the far East. We ordered the Hong Kong style spareribs, the Soy chicken over rice and the Seafood Laksa. The spareribs was good. It had a good amount of chili and the sauce is flavorful. The soy chicken is equally good as it was not too salty and the sauce was perfect. As good as the two dishes were, the best was the seafoid laksa. Broth was spot-on, it was creamy and hearty. The noodles were smooth and a buy chewy. They also filled it with toppings of shrimp, tofu generously. Though there are cheaper alternatives, I think that this is probably the best choice to dine when you visit the park.

Celebrated my mom's bday here. Excellent set of crew! Very nice customer service experience. Serving is a little too little for the price, but good taste.

A quaint place that's definitely been here in the metro for a while BUT still exceeds good quality food and service. You can also get a good view of the bay without the crazy crowd taking a lot of selfies. 😜

We had our Sunday lunch with the family here and all of us were satisfied with our meal. This place offers asian favorites such as phad thai, laksa, roti prata, sinigang, nasi goreng, silken tofu with minced meat and the like. The head waiter proudly boasts that their chefs flew to asian countries to learn how to cook these authentic dishes. The servers were very attentive, makes sure our glasses are always filled with water and our empty plates are cleared out our table. They always roam around to check if you need anything and patiently discuss the food that they offer. We'll definitely come back and try other dishes!

I went to Hotel H2O today to check the hotel and eat here. The food just like the hotel is impeccable in taste, spot on. The char kway teow, hakaw, shrimp manggo salad, satay, sambal squid, pork chop, tofu in a pot, laksa and tom yum were all delicious. The servings are good for 2-3 and reasonably priced.
The place is very asian and opens up into a veranda overlooking Manila bay and world famous sunset.
The air is sanitized because the sea water has been treated this part of the bay which is great! Will definitely come back

Ahhh, Asian food, who isn't crazy about it? Apparently, most of humanity loves Asian food. On CNN's list of the World's 50 best foods, Asia sweeps the top 10 spots.

In Manila, the exotic flavors of Asia come to life at Makan Makan Asian Food Village. During a recent visit to the capital, we dropped in for dinner after spending a stimulating afternoon at historic Luneta Park nearby.

Located at the 2nd floor of the Manila Ocean Park/Hotel H2O, the restaurant features a convergence of Singaporean, Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Filipino cuisines in a unique eating place patterned after a vibrant hawker centre. Walk-ins are welcome, so you don't need to be an Ocean Park ticket holder or a Hotel H2O guest to dine here.

Think it's expensive here? Not really. At relatively affordable price points, each dish was expertly prepared, cooked exceptionally well, and served with a generous amount of fresh, zestful ingredients, sauces and spices.

Let's talk about our orders:

• Pork Sinigang (Php 210) - what better way to start off a meal than to savor a soothing bowl of this hot, spicy sour, tamarind-flavored pork broth? Great-tasting, excellent version!

• Satay Pork (Php 250, 10 pcs) - a popular Thai street food, these bright-yellow, fragrant little skewers of savoury, well-marinated meat goes perfectly well with rice. But what really makes the dish stand out is the chili-peanut sauce, an essential satay dip that elevates the taste of barbecue to a whole new level!

• Squid and Shrimp with Broccoli Flower (Php 290) - healthy, nutritious & super tasty, this seafood dish was the star of our dinner table. Bite-size chunks of fresh broccoli mingle with delicate, plump squid & shrimp and tossed in a tangy, spicy blend of soy sauce, chopped garlic, ginger, and chili. Exquisite!

• Chopsuey (Php 220) - the perfect marriage of vegetables and meat! Served in thick soy sauce gravy, strips of sauteed lean pork meat blend with a handful of cauliflowers, baby corns, mushrooms, carrots and cabbages then sprinkled with toasted garlic bits on top.

• Kangkong with Oyster Sauce (Php 175) - kudos to the chefs for transforming this lowly vegetable dish into a culinary masterpiece. To me, this is how kangkong (water spinach) should be cooked, simmered in oyster sauce to add an extra layer of flavor.

Equally delicious were our other orders such as the Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet (Php 225), Deep Fried Spareribs with Salt & Pepper (Php 355) and Pancit Bihon (Php 250).

Courteous, prompt and super attentive, the serving crew were true professionals from start to finish. Overall, our dining experience at Makan Makan was truly delightful, one of the remarkable highlights of our Manila trip. Whether you're a diehard fan of Asian food or simply a cautious eater, Makan Makan is highly recommended to visit.
