Very classic fare. They have spicy chicken now! Can order their chicken meals and just let server know if you want spicy. Spice level can also be adjusted --- similar to how Jollibee spices their spicy chicken. Spicy powder can be adjusted.
My officemates and I had late lunch here in Max’s Mendiola. We ordered the light blah blah meal priced at 999 and good for four inclusive of 1 whole chicken, fish fillet with sauce, vegetable ensalada, 4 rice and sago’t gulaman. I don’t hate veggie but I don’t love it either. Pili lang. hehe. For me, they should replace the veggie ensalada with choseuy or pinakbet instead of steamed okra, kangkong, squash and sitaw🤢 I still got full because of the chicken hihi.
Filipino comfort food at it's finest! The chaos in the area seems to delight me. The clanking of utensils, waiters busy, happy people dining with family and friends, good food, fair price.. oh love love max's (esp their sizzling tofu, minus mayonnaise)
A lot has been spurting everywhere with the intention of serving the "hits-the-spot" and "luto-ni-lola" Filipino food. Max's never fails. It's like an ancestral home's extension where everything served is hearty, cooked with love.
If you are looking for legit Filipino food, go for their Kare Kare. So perfect. Nutty, tender meat and crunchy veggies plus the salty bagoong!
Of course their signature dish is the fried chicken, best to have the thigh part 😜 red meat at it's best! Don't forget their sizzling tofu.
We've all eaten at a Max's restaurant somewhere but this branch is one that I visit time and time again.
The food is up to the Max's Restaurant standards which is present in all of their branches but what sets this branch apart is the outstanding staff. Fast service, polite servers, and when you come by often, it feels like home. The staff here don't forget their regular customers and even those who've come only twice or more.
