Love this place. Ordered Agli' Olio Pasta with Shrimp for lunch and t'was divine. Craving for more of their Chocolate Reseneth!
One of my officemate is a regular customer here so he recommended Barcelo for lunch. We ordered big fish peri-peri, crispy pata kare-kare and lechon kawali. The group meal is inclusive of four rice and a pitcher of iced tea. I was so shocked when the big fish peri-peri was served hehe. I usually see those kinds of fishes in Tagaytay. I also liked how the veggies, crispy pata and kare-kare sauce were served separately and their bagoong is one of the best, generous servings also. I didn't liked the lechon kawali because of the huge cuts and it was not that crispy. Overall dining experience is good and will probably dine again.
A go to place for employees like me! It’s a nice change from all the fast foods surrounding the area. I love their sardines pasta! I’ll come back again!

This is not originally the place we want to eat breakfast but since our target place was still closed this morning, we searched for the next nearest place along the way to Malacañang Museum. Place is in La Consolacion College. We were there around 8:45AM and breakfast was the only available food so we decided to order longganisa meal (BTW, it comes in two kinds: garlic and sweet). We ordered the garlic one. The place is cozy with a touch of class. Not your ordinary carinderia. Order didn't take long to be served. For the price of 110 pesos per order, it comes with a cup of rice (Delicious... My daughter and I love it), 2 pcs. of longganisa, sunny -side up egg, a thin slice of tomato and cucumber and brewed (i think it's brewed) coffee. They also gave us sugar and creamer for the coffee which are wonderfully placed in glass containers. They also provide condiments in the long service table which also has a water dispenser (you get for free), iced tea dispenser and others. Service crew that served us is very courteous. Also, the guard and cashier. For the food taste, I give it a perfect score. Very delicious...egg was cooked the way I like it. Portion size is more than what I expect. Ambiance of the place is very nice. When fully occupied, I think the place is still not crowded because there is enough space to move around. Place is air-confitioned too. The only downside is the limited choices for food but since we came in early, I guess it's reason enough. But I wish they have bacon and maybe could have added banana. Overall, experience is wonderful. I would love to eat there again. I highly recommend the place if you want to have a nice breakfast in an affordable price with courteous staff.
i remember this place as our to go to place if craving for pasta or cake, specials are serve daily but lack of varieties in their menu... but they know how to make good coffee tho
Tried their Breakfast Buffet for P 98! Sobrang Busog! YUng Downside lang, limited food at limited time lang, pag madami kang kasabay (at mga pro na sa buffet), at kung late ka dadating, wala ka nang aabutan. 😓
May merienda buffet din sila for P 68
P.S. Tagal ko nang nasubukan ito, di ko lang alam kung available pa ang buffet
I think the chefs here are from the culinary school beside this café. When we first entered here, it was a really big resto/café and my former professors and some batchmates were also there dining. They have a fast service, with a reasonable price. :) the food was good, abd the cupcakes cost cheaper than what I expected because it was only 20pesos! :)
This is an underrated cafe! Service was really fast unlike other restaurants which take a long time to serve their food while in Barcelo Cafe it only took like 5 minutes or so and I was completely satisfied with the food that they had prepared. The Spanish Chicken tasted lovely, my friends ordered Carbonara. Prices are reasonable and the cupcakes are really cheap, it only costs like P20! We also saw some of our professors dining in and some batchmates that we know. It was a great decision to try eating here because we had an assumption that this cage would be very expensive but with the help of Zomato we were able to actually see that it's 'swak sa budget'. Good for groups esp. students, saw a lot of pretty CEU students here hihi
overall rating: 8.5/10
Sorry no photo!!! So far, I have dined here twice. First, I was with my boyfriend and we had the breakfast buffet for only P99! The menu was composed of misua soup, fried siomai, omelette, corned beef, rice, and coffee. Already full from my first plate! But I wish they served pandesal too. My second time to dine here was at lunch time and my professor at my masters class treated us. Ordered adobong kangkong, tinola, and piri-piri. Everything tasted good! Would come back to try other stuff from their menu. Also serves merienda buffet for only P68!
It's actually named Cafe Barcelo, located at La Consolacion college with a clean, rustic decor and well the students and they're professors serve hand-in-hand. It's one of the classiest eatery around mendiola and, its not at all expensive. For example their well seasoned Spanish Chicken on a sizzling plate for 90php that can energize your appetite with the meat basically falling of the bone. And their roasted chicken for also 90php that can truly satisfy your hunger. They also have coffee, pastries and cakes for those opting a snack. If you're planning to go to an inexpensive swanky dinner or even lunch i suggest you drop by and try it out for yourself.
