The sundae is so cute and it sure has the Japanese dessert taste on it. I really wanted try the matcha one but, since I ate so much before I visited the place, so I might not finish it whole. :(
I'll try visiting this again next time!
I'm a silent matcha lover! First time to try this Tsujiri Sundae and definitely the matcha you've been looking for! Taste like heavennnnn! Their soft serve ice cream's so smooth that it doesn't make you feel thirsty while eating! Can't explain how I feel but all I can say is it's worth it for 295!!! Wanna taste other desserts they offer! πππ

OK, this is a revelation. It's my first time to try Tsujiri and the hojicha soft serve ice cream is so good?!? Would reorder again, mmm! I'll skip the drink next time π

What we had:
Tsujiri matcha float
Chiffon cake parfait sundae
What we loved:
Oh everything. I love how the cornflakes, red bean ball, and the piece of matcha chiffon cake added quite a unique texture and flavor with the soft serve. Overall very filling and delicious for a dessert. I wasn't also that sweet which I really liked. Their matcha float is slightly bitter but it really is the matcha flavor and as close as what you'll get in Japan.
Availed of the booky promo buy 1 get 1 black crunch sundae. I chose matcha for my soft-serve. It has a strong matcha taste and a bit bitter which I really like. At the bottom part, there seems to be cookies, chiffon cake, chocolate and genmai. I like how these add-ons added texture to it.
MATCHA LOVER HERE!!! ππ»ββοΈ I've tried Tsujiri for quite a number of times already. But it's my first time to try their Hojicha!!! It's their roasted matcha soft serve!!! ππ
I EXPERIENCED LOVE AT FIRST BITE π€€
Matcha lovers' sanctuary and a must try place. Matcha in different forms - ice cream, cakes, hot and cold drinks, etc.
I am not a fan of matcha but tried out of necessity π€£π. It doesn't changed my mind but I guess it is a pretty decent place for matcha lovers.
PS: foreigners such as Koreans and Japanese tried this place too during my visit. #Authenticity
I love matcha everything!! I still have a lot to try from Tsujiri. They had chocolate lava that came with regular vanilla (or was it chocolate?) soft serve but I asked if they could make it matcha and was happy that they were accommodating. Loved the sweet chocolate lava with the combination of slightly bitter matchaπ΅π€©
A bit expensive but good quality!
We tried their Matcha Lava Cake and Tsujiri Ice Blended. Daaammn! Its bomb. If you are a matcha lover youβll def love it. Just right amount of sweetness and matcha in it. Imagine slicing that lava cake with Matcha ice cream on top and slowly the matcha melted bar is coming out. 4/5
The place is clean and chill, not crowded. 5/5
Service 5/5
It was almost 1pm and my 18-hour fasting was almost done. I was famished. Really hungry. I was walking around Podium when I saw a Tsujiri branch. Then, I saw their poster advertising the new sandwiches they're offering. Without a hint of hesitation, I entered and ordered their Kani Yuzu Salad.Β
While waiting, I scanned the branch's interior. Very Japanese, very understated. In short, I loved it. Just as how I loved the sandwich served. The bread used was soft and warm. Finished the whole thing in a few minutes and contemplated on trying their Sea Salt Dark Chocolate when I remembered that I have a Food Meet Up in a few minutes. I will be back, promised myself as I walked away.
A must try for matcha lovers!
I tried the Tsujiri sundae, matcha blanca cake and yuzu cheese mousse. Everything tastes good! π
I will definitely come back to try some more of their famous drinks and cakes!
For a matcha fan, this place is a heaven. Ordered float and ice cream. I love how tasty the matcha ice cream, and all the toppings included. I hope I can try the others as well
β Pricey but worth every moolah if you're a matcha lover.
β Offers a variety of hot and cold drinks as well as matcha and vanilla soft served based dessert creations using matcha imported from Japan.
β Also have a locally created matcha pastries.
β€ Best picks: Shiratama Sundae, Matcha Lava Cake and Tsujiri Milk Ice Blended π
Got this affogato using Bookyβs buy one get one deal. I love how creamy the ice cream is and the matcha is not that overwhelming. You can opt not to pour all the matcha sauce so you can savor the ice cream on its own.
Best matcha desserts shop in Manila. It is closest to ones Iβve tried in Tokyo and Hong Kong. Since the other desserts are kinda overpriced, I always stick with the soft serve ice cream as the most appropriately priced and worth it ππΏ
The store provides authentic tea. The prices may be quite high compared to other stores that sells tea, but provides value for money. They have a wide variety of products to choose from, which actually gets the customer to come back and try their products! A nice place for matcha lovers, since most products are matcha based.
This matcha green tea has got to be my favorite here. Better than the slushie that Iβm not a fan off.
This branch is just by the hallway. But there is ample seating space.
Tsujuri O-Matcha sundae I had it in cone then my friend in a cup! Yum! I love matcha and theyβve captured that flavor till the last drop. My matcha cravings was satisfied.
Finally found my matcha haven! Taste justified the price. Must try place for every matcha lover. Will definitely try out other items on their menu and visit other branch next time.
One of the best matcha green tea ice cream. The toasted crispies has a nice aroma and flavor and the mochi are enjoyable to eat. The staff here are friendly and accomodating even to the seniors. The tall icecrushies are just too sweet. Maybe you need to ask more.ice. the hot greentea latte lacks hotness (temp wise) the procedure making the drink is a bit entertaining to watch. Hope youll maintain the QUALITY and cleanliness.
Havenβt found any place in the Metro that does Matcha as real and close to the actual flavor they serve in Japan as Tsujiri. Their matcha ice cream is simple but authentic. Definitely a place worth going to for solid authentic matcha dessert.
Ambience:
Self-service water is available at the right end of the counter near the till. For me, they actually have enough seats. They accept debit, credit, GCash, and are currently partnered with Booky, offering BOGO (Buy One Get One) Adzuki Floats.
Food:
Houjicha is roasted green tea. I've actually tasted this at other food places and so far, it's always good. It probably helps that I strongly love matcha and the roasted flavor is very much apparent. I highly recommend the Houjicha Milk Float to the adventurous foodie, because you get two flavors (Matcha + Houjicha) and two forms (ice-cream + ice-blend).
Service:
Their staff's knowledgeable about houjicha.
Tsujiri milk float and Tsujiri Matcha Blanca Cake. Iβd say that these have been the best matcha desserts that I have tried so far. The matcha flavor stands out and hasnβt been overpowered by the milk. The chocolate cake is also delectable. High blood sugar? Iβd say YOLO and still devour these goodies.
I am a huge Matcha fan! When I discovered that Tsujiri will be opening its doors here in the Philippines, my curiosity to try having desserts in this placed got triggered. The first time I went here, I tried their Matcha Float. And since I have a buy 1 take 1 promo c/o Booky App, I ordered 2 and gave the other one to my friend as a treat. The Matcha Float was awesomely delicious! By the second time I went here, I tried their soft served Matcha Sundae cone, and that was the time I indulged in to Matcha more as the taste of it from the soft served sundae satisfied my Matcha craving! Moving on to the branch itself, it is quiet and cozy which is ideal to my personality. Would to go back again here.
A highly reputable matcha brand in Japan, Tsujiri finally reached the Manila shores and has expanded with its 2nd branch in Podium mall.
This place piqued my interest and on the first week of this year, I gave this place a shot. My boyfriend and I got the Shiratama Sundae, White Chocolate Matcha Cake, and Houjiicha Latte. I veered away from the Matcha drink as I thought it would be gastronomically redundant to go hardcore on the green tea, the Houjicha which tasted like roasted sesame milk tea, was very comforting, and gave balance to my taste buds.
The cake tasted good, the chocolate had a really smooth finish. The combination of the chocolate chiffon went well with the icing. However, there was nothing special with the chiffon. Good thing the texture and the flavors blended well.
For the Shiratama sundae, I realized that the Shiratama is related to the local "bilo bilo" which we could find in our ginataan. Imagine this on a green tea sundae with azuki (red bean) beneath. It was an interesting mix, although, not too outstanding.
Service was quick enough, although not impressive. During my visit, maybe there weren't enough people to heighten the vibe of the place, but I found the staff too lax.
I was hoping for a more impressive ambiance though. Perhaps more comfortable seats, but not much here. I expected more as the prices are comparable to our mainstream coffee shops that welcome you with cushioned seats. The lighting and the restaurant design wasn't too impressive too. Plus , the cutleries were all disposable, ho-hum. For this price, I'd prefer to hang out at a cafe in a hotel or spend on a nice meal in a restaurant.
This place is another in a long line of Japanese ice cream parlors which has become all the foodie trend worldwide. We ordered a matcha sundae and a plain old vanilla ice cream cone. I'm not a huge fan of matcha but they do it very well here. The matcha taste is authentic so it doesn't have any of that weird aftertaste that you get with fake matcha flavored stuff. The sundae was layered with all sorts of little goodies like jelly and what tasted like mochi (?) balls. I don't remember exactly because we ate everything we ordered pretty quickly.
What really impressed me though was the regular vanilla ice cream cone. It was some of the best vanilla soft serve i've had because the ice cream had a very rich vanilla and milk flavor. It was creamy and not overly sweet. It was also a fairly big serving size for 110 pesos. It was worth every peso.
I am so happy to have found a place like this in the Philippines that sells really authentic-tasting matcha products!!!! I've been to Japan a couple times so my expectations for good Japanese desserts (especially the soft serve) are quite high and I must say, this surely did not disappoint!!!
Food:
- Matcha Milk Float, I suggest getting this because you get the best of both worlds - ice cream and a drink! Not too sweet in my opinion.
- Matcha Soft Serve, tastes like the one I had in Japan! MUST-TRY!!!!
- Matcha Lava cake, it was moist and the matcha that oozed out had that bitter green tea taste that I adore!
- Vanila Soft Serve, it was really creamy and good but I think nakaka-umay at times.
Service:
Fast and the staff were nice despite that I kept on asking for water cause they serve it in really tiny cups hahah
Ambience:
They have so many chairs and tables, and the place doesn't usually get packed so that's great. They also have outlets so I was able to charge my phone on multiple accounts. I even managed to study there, it was really peaceful.
After my hubby and I visited Kyoto, he's been craving and looking for a matcha place in Manila. Filipinos have a sweet tooth, so it's hard to find a bittersweet dessert place here; that's why we were happy to find Tsujiri at the new Podium mall! The soft serve is a bit pricey at P130, but definitely different from the usual sugary matcha ice creams around. We have yet to try the other matcha dishes soon :)
(11.25.17)
Went to visit the new and improved Podium mall during this day and not a lot of restaurants were open. We gazed upon this simple looking dessert place and went inside to try it out. Turns out itβs one of the best Matcha spots in the Metro! They only have selected stores around Manila so weβre lucky enough to have one just nearby our place.
AMBIANCE (4/5)
The place has a rather simple and straight to the point look with hints of Japanese interiors. Very zen and relaxed. You can tell from the feel of the place that they focus their strengths on what they offer and not so much on what their store looks like. Although I saw that the neighboring space is also named Tsujiri so maybe theyβre planning for expansion. Something to look forward to I guess! Hehe!
SERVICE (5/5)
Being that we were unfamiliar with their menu, we asked lots of questions and recommendations all of which the waiter answered. Oh by the way, this place is fast-food type of store. They donβt have waiters per se but rather cashier clerks. So you order in front and you wait for it there or theyβll hand you an electronic buzzer. Serving time wasnβt bad as well! They were quick and efficient in handling all their customers.
FOOD (4/5)
I really liked how comprehensive their menu was. It had so many possible combinations of drinks and ice creams that can be added with their signature matcha. My family and I ordered 2 treats! We had the Small Chocolate Float with Matcha ice cream and no other toppings on it (P190) and the chocolate lava cake with matcha ice cream (P?) sorry I forgot the price! Serving size was just right. I liked both of them because Iβm a real fan of green tea! You can truly taste the flavor on each bite! The flavor was there but the consistency of the ice cream and the cake was a bit off. They were too soft for me. Tried to copy the video on their screen showing how to slice the lava cake but upon doing it on ours, the lava immediately overflew. Plus points though for it not being too heavy. It wasnβt βnakakaumayβ because the flavor wasnβt overly powerful. My siblings had the same sentiments.
THE VERDICT (4/5)
If youβre looking for a quick matcha fix and youβre willing to splurge a bit, then this is the place for you! Itβs legit green tea and they offer various dessert treats to choose from! Iβd definitely comeback to try out their other goodies the next time I crave for matcha. Cheers! π
Matcha Fever!
There was a time when matcha took over the hearts of everyone in this country, the hype was so big that almost every restaurant just needed to have one matcha-flavored product on their menu. However, around time Tsujiri arrived in town, the hype has toned down. I mean, matcha is still loved and adored by many but it isn't as big as it was before.Β
Here's the thing though, without the over-hype and the huge expectations for a restaurant and a product, you will actually be able to enjoy your food more. In my experience at least and as I've said in my previous reviews. Us foodies though, we're all loving Tsujiri and we're all craving for it all the time.Β
Almost everything on their menu is matcha flavored- from soft serve ice creams to cakes to ice blended drinks. It truly is a Green Tea Paradise. Granted, the price is higher than usual but Tsujiri only serves high-quality ingredients so you can enjoy your purchase with the utmost pleasure. I got to taste their Tsujiri Shaved Ice (Php 295.00/Vanilla flavor): because of a buy 1 take 1 promo. It was a green tea flavored shaved ice with soft serve vanilla ice cream on top and a ball of red bean and some mochi balls. I would suggest mixing them together so the flavor of the vanilla mixes with the green tea and it becomes sort of a milkshake. I did that because we also ordered their Vanilla Soft Ice Cream (Php 110.00/cone): and we also got to enjoy the milky ice cream on its own.

I want some dessert after a pretty heavy dinner, so my friend told me that he got a buy 1 take 1 matcha float from Booky so we went here to Tsujiri. Anything matcha from them is amazing. The service was nice and the ambiance was pretty cozy since it's not crowded. I'll definitely go back here to satisfy my matcha cravings
Yey a new Tsujiri branch this time in S Maison 2.0 the Podium. Grab a cone Matcha ice cream and as always it was really good. The sweet bitter flavor of matchaπ. Love this branch less crowded compared on my visit in S Maison. Overall this is one of my go to place for Matcha!
It's a nice place to visit on your Mirienda time.
If you love matcha or wagashi, this is the perfect place for you! π
Since i love yuzu, i ordered yuzu tea with matcha sundae. I will definately be here again next time.
First time with Tsujiri,a legendary tea brand from Japan, renowned for its high quality green tea.Reshape the menu by offering and infusing their matcha with desserts and
beverages to reach a wider following.
At first I'm a bit skeptical about trying their products and doubtful that it may disappoints me ,and a bit pricey for me.
I ordered the Sundae Jelly Matcha, love the strong yet authentic matcha flavor that was integrated into the ice cream and jelly way different from the others I've tried .the toasted rice crispies were fantastic. The pink flowet ornament was impressive ,texture of waffle cone made up of rice. And of course the inclusions of my favorites the red bean and chewy mochi complemented the rest.
Overall with quality and the authenticity of the ingredients ,I find the price reasonable .Place beautifully lit and nice Oriental vibe. Service and staff were good. Will be back to try their other products.
A Disneyland for matcha lovers! The Tsujiri latte is very good and rich in matcha. There was even a thin syrup layer of it at the bottom of the cup once I gobbled up the drink. I also ordered a purple yam cake. It's not the best ube cake out there but it's still nice. There's even a matcha icing shaped in a leaf on the top.
πDate for Two: Matcha Citron Cake, Matcha Blanca Cake, Tsujiri Jelly Sundae
πTotal: P715
Overall: Matcha has taken over our countryβs food scene for years now, and this flavor will sure stay long, even forever. Coffee shops, local restaurants and even fast food chains already got their versions of food and drink, all with Matcha to taste. Everyone is on hype on everything Matcha. And good thing the mother of all Matcha came to town. Say hello to Tsujiri.
This ancient brand first opened this year in SβMaison Mall, Pasay City and soon opened subsequently at SM Mall of Asia. North peeps couldnβt reach this far regularly so weβre thrilled to know that they have opened a new branch in the newly-renovated Podium Mall. To date, they have also opened another branch at SM Aura, which is currently doing good as the place is always packed with millies, Matcha lovers and group of friends and family.
You might have noted the word ancient here. βCoz yes, there are legit ancient! Did you know Tsujiri existed even before our grandparents did? Yep! That old! The brand started 1860 and is globally known for their high-grade green tea. They are now serving customers worldwide via franchise and weβre lucky to be one of the countries to experience this.
Tsujiri Jelly Sundae (P285) β Their sundaes are the best-sellers among all their uniquely-crafted desserts. Itβs a work of art, as the layers are done to bring out the best possible way to enjoy the cup. One order is composed of roasted brown rice crispies, Matcha sundae, red bean paste, another layer of sundae and for the toppings, Matcha jellies, mochi and sakura-inspired rice cracker. This oneβs definitely IG-worthy!
At first glance, this small cup seems like too expensive at P285 but we assure you, this is worth the extra money you have to shell out. Several reasons why β their Matcha is of the highest quality, so heighten your expectations and be prepared to be blown away as Tsujiri will let you experience βReal Matchaβ. βReal Matchaβ is sweet, savory and does have a tiny taste of bitter in the end. We have this impression that Matcha is bitter in general, and is sweetened and neutralized by the sugars and creams in normal Matcha drink/dessert. As the Matcha they are using is of high quality, there is a high risk of quality downgrade over time as well. Their best solution, have all the ingredients shipped via air, and not by seas, to ensure preservation of quality. For the red bean layer, they have mashed it into a paste, which is a big plus for us. We are not red bean lovers as the texture is awkward, so this paste made us love this sundae even more.
Matcha Citron Cake (P200) β For Matcha and citrus fruits lovers, this combination is for you. This sour and sweet cake is a hit for us they are blended perfectly.
Matcha Blanca Cake (P230) β For those who were left with no options but to come in Tsujiri (Hello, IG boyfriends who would do anything for their loves! Haha!), fret not as Tsujiri have chocolate and vanilla dessert options for you!
After this visit, we donβt think weβll be settling for cheap Matcha now. Lol! Head over to Podium now to have the experience as well.
Value for money: Worth it! Youβll get authentic Matcha goodness π
#DateForTwo at Tsujiri
Happy that Tsujiri is branching out! Yey! I hate having to go all the way to MoA for a green tea fix!
I was meeting up with friends at the newly renovated Podium. I made sure I left the North early to avoid not making it at all from the horrible traffic... I got to our meeting place way too early, but I'm an expert at entertaining myself... I beelined for Tsujiri for my matcha fix as I window shopped... I ordered the iced matcha latte with kinako kuromitsu. No nonfat/skim/soy option though.π The kinako kuromitsu is a syrup they make out of brown sugar and roasted soybeans-- matched the taste of green tea to a T.π
Really enjoyed my matcha latte! I didn't have their pastries so as not to ruin my appetite-- but I have my eye on those for my next visit!
Highly recommended! ππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππππ 100 stars for you, Tsujiri!
Tsujiri finally opened a branch in Podium. Perfect dessert place for matcha lovers. I was overwhelmed by the dessert, but I can only have one of it.
The server highly recommended the Chiffon Cake Parfait Sundae (P260) it has this matcha chiffon cake, scoop of red beans and legit matcha ice cream!
Verdict: slightly overpriced for me for the serving size. Matcha ice cream is yummy! Its a two thumbs up, also for the red beans. I am noy much happy for the chiffon cake, its kinda dry.
An absolute favorite! We cannot wait for them to open a few more branches. Consistently the best place to go if youβre craving for something with a robust matcha taste. Would definitely be back for more!
If you want real, as in real matcha dessert, go here. Legit matcha taste. Quite obvious they are using authentic matcha from Japan.
The matcha lava cake is very good. It is the sweet kind of matcha dessert so if you want that matcha taste but still wants sweetness, this one's for you.
The matcha soft serve will win genuine matcha lovers because they really have that strong matcha flavor. It is not that sweet. Just a subtle hint of sweetness. If you want matcha kitkat sweetness, you will not get it from this one.
All in all, my matcha craving was greatly satisfied with the two desserts I tried. Will definitely come back to try more of their offerings.
I decided to check out the Podium, where I hadn't been to for quite some time. They have a new wing I think, and just a few stores have been opened.
Then I remembered Tsujiri having a new branch there. I wasted no time and went there.
Unfortunately, their ice creams were unavailable. Sad. Instead, what I had:
β» Matcha Citron Cake (β±200 per slice) - I loved this! Fluffy cake filled with matcha cream, with a citrusy tang. Because of the cool temperature of the cake, the filling was almost like an ice cream. (Look at the thick cream, huhuhu π).
β» Houjicha Milk (large, β±180) - Roasted green tea ice blended drink. No soft serve ice cream so no float, sorry. Despite the addition of milk, I could still feel the earthiness of the matcha. It left some briny aftertaste. Maybe it's just me. Next time I will try the drink without milk.
I hope on my next visit there, there should be ice cream! Other than that, it was a good first visit.

Matcha overload alert! Finally, Tsujiri opened its doors in the New Podium!!
Matcha has been the talk of the town since it the flavor started blooming for the past few years. Almost all dessert places have already incorporated the Japanese green tea craze into their menu. Before, it is hard to find a dessert place with a real matcha goodness taste around metro manila! But now, many dessert places offer a legit and bold matcha flavored desserts for matcha lovers.
In my personal taste, what makes a good matcha dessert is that semi-bitter aftertaste after the sweetness of dessert fades; and Tsujiri has this. I was able to try Tsujiri's Citronne cake and Matcha Lava Cake. Although the legit matcha taste was there, I wish the lava cake would have been more moist and was baked just at the right consistency. After one bite, I felt the cake was overly baked and was quite stale. Good thing the matcha ice cream saved the cake from the disaster. For the Citronne cake, the cake was moist and the layers of the cake and cream was just right. It was light and not overpowering but I would taste more matcha in this dessert.
Price wise, I feel Tsujiri is quite expensive with the quality and serving of their products. However, I have yet to try their other matcha selections such as their parfait.
