Our favorite authentic and classic chinatown Mami -- Masuki!!! This is my mom and I's favorite mami place. The mami comes with separated siopao sauce that is used to add flavor to the soup! (otherwise its gonna be tasteless) We always order the Special size Beef noodles and ask them to serve it in 2 bowls hehe And this is also how I learned to add hot sauce to my noodles because they don't have chili oil or any other chili aside from the hot sauce. at first I find it weird but now I LOVE IT!!! ♥ Plus their Asado siopao is a must try my favorrrriiiiite!

One regular mami split into 2. This is a classic from Manila Chinatown. I'll share some not so secret: add some siopao sauce into the soup to add more flavor! This always hits the spot whenever i'm feeling under the weather.

After a very long while, finally, I was able to eat at Masuki. You see, the brand guested in our TV show a year ago and the owner extended an invitation for me to visit which, unfortunately, took me this long to do.

Masuki Restaurant was everything I imagined it to be. Once you step inside, it was an entirely different world. Simple interiors, bright white lights, dining area being manned by servers, though not trained to be polished and skilled waiters, are experts at what they do. The place was not immaculate but clean enough and the air was thick with that Chinese “smell” unique to eateries found in Avenida, Manila. I may be exaggerating with my descriptions but that was how Masuki struck me. Beautifully iconic.

The Wonton Chicken and Asado with the sweet sauce we finished in record time together with the bigger-than-usual Siomai pieces. The Taipao (bigger-than-usual siopao) we asked to be halved which we ended up wrapping to bring home.

I am quite pleased that authentic cuisine that usually can only be found in binondo has finally found its way in other parts of the Metro. Of course, the winning combination of siopao and special mami. Could not help but feel nostalgic since these were favorites of my parents when they used to study in Manila. I hope the younger generation will patronize this place as a way of connecting to a part of our culinary history that dates back hundreds of years.

Hands down to this authentic resto from Binondo, my fave, MASUKI ❤️

Ps: whenever ure eating at masuki, always remember to pour your asado sauce sa noodles niyo and yung asado sauce it is given to u at first pa lang before the noods. Pour it there and dont just eat the noodles without it.
Pps: sarap ng siopao, u can order the regular one, malaki na rin naman

One of our family’s comfort food. We make it a point to eat here in Masuki every time we drop by Mega Mall.

We ordered the following:
*Original Mami
*Beef Mami
*Wonton Mami
*Regular Asado Siopao
*Pork Siomai

No frills menu. I love mixing the Siopao sauce in my Original Mami bowl! Brings back good old childhood memories of Ma Mon Luk.

My overall ratings:

Ambiance - ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Food - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Comfort food.

That's how I'd describe a huge bowl of Masuki noodles. Their chewy noodles have a very unique bite into it, not soggy, which goes very well with the broth. Talking about the broth, they'd serve you with this brown, sweet sauce what you can actually put on your noodles soup. Weird? No! It turns the soup into this very rich broth and elevates it. Depending on what you get, either the chicken or the pork asado, their meats are tender yet full of flavor. Now I think I'd want a bowl. Like right now.

The place is simple yet spacious. Mirrors by the walls make the place bigger.

Service is very quick and it's very good.

I'm not too big on mami but I tend to go here whenever I crave for that oh-so-sweet mami sauce to go along with your noodles. One cup of the sauce for the noodles, another one as my dip for wantons. You'll probably be better off buying the 'special' kinds of mami as for just a few pesos more, you'd get a larger bowl. The noodles are just a bit ok to my liking, it is when paired with the sauce that it shines more.

Not a fan of the, ummm, peculiar smell though.

Nothing bad to say with the staff. They're quite attentive.

We love the classic siopao/mami combination and it’s available in quite a number of restaurants that we know such as, Chowking and Ma Mon Luk. Since I was a kid, I’ve always loved going to Ma Mon Luk in Cubao, but for several years now, it’s already closed and the only branch that’s open right now is in Quezon Avenue. They have this unique siopao taste as well as that aroma. They are located at the basement level near the center, by the arcades, in Building B.

All-time favorite, comfort food in its truest form.
Chicken, beef, & wonton is super, noodles are perfect.
The broth is really really tasty, similar to ma mon luk!

Was surprised with the ample siopao sauce given despite ordering just 1 siopao... The secret is to add sauce to the mami & it takes the flavor to another level!

We used to visit Masuki in ongpin but it was good to know that there is also a branch in Megamall. No need to go far since it's nearer. Good place to dine especially when your craving for authentic chinese noodles. Asado siopao is also good. Go and try it yourself

LATE REVIEW!

The restaurant is clean and organize, approachable staff and good service. Maliit nga lang yung space nila sa SM Megamall. I ordered Beef Mami and Asado Siopao.
●Beef Mami⭐⭐⭐⭐- I love it, the broth was good not too salty and the beef is tender. In fact this one is good for sharing.
●Asado Siopao⭐⭐⭐- Its good paired with the sweet sauce, more meat and less dough.

Did not notice this place up until today if not for a dinner meeting. The place is inconspicuous because it is surrounded by its more famous counterparts. According to the person I had dinner with, this place is packed with Fil-Chinese patrons during lunchtime. That fact is enough for me to find out why this joint lasted for decades.

I ordered the original mami and the siopao. The order was delivered in a matter of seconds. It stayed true to its category of being a quick bite place. The food was good... not great in my opinion. But you get the value for the price you paid.

If you need a quick fix of Chinese goodness, better try this out. Not everyone may come back but it definitely is a place everyone should try at least once.

Old school goodness. Masuki never fails to deliver the warmness of their food right into my heart. Haha! Their 35Php Pork Siomai is so good, even when just with Calamansi. Asado Siopao is the best when paired with their Asado Mami Noodles. Eating here takes me, time and time again, to Binondo where Chinese food is best cooked and served (in the Philippines). 👍🏼

You don't need to go to Quiapo just to taste the classic Mamonluk mami and siopao. Masuki is just as good as the latter, located in the heart of Ortigas Center. Highly recommended to those who are craving for an authentic Chinese noodles.

Thank you Masuki for satisfying our hunger during the last rush hour of Christmas shopping a few hours before Christmas eve 💐💐💐

Every resto and fastfood was chaotic as there were long lines to get to buy a food. Good thing we get sight of this while looking for one at SM Megamalls basement. 😊

We ordered 1 beef mami noodles good for sharing, 1 Bola bola siopao and 1 Asado siopao.

So yummy and the service was superb...fast and friendly... we didn't get to wait that long for our food to be serve. 👌👍👏

My cousin introduced me to this place and I’m glad she did. The vibe of this place isn’t like your fancy Chinese resto. It looks very simple and homey. It may not look that appealing in the outside but the food is what it’s all about. I tried the wonton chicken noodles and it was fulfilling. The broth is simply flavored but I like that it isn’t too intense. My cousin told me to try putting their sauce in the broth to amp up the flavor. I did so and I was blown away. We also each had a piece of their pork siomai and wow did it shock me. It was huge and really delicious. The noodles are legit made from real ingredients and it’s really heavy in the tummy. Also, the sauce and broth is refillable so it’s really fulfilling and satisfying. The food is worth the price. Overall, my first try at Masuki went wonderful and the staffs are nice. Masuki may very well be one of your source of noodles comfort food fix.

Authentic.
It reminds of the chinese restaurant we used to go to with my mamang, Ma Mon Luk, the stinky smell is inviting that tells you it is indeed authentic.
one of the best experience!

Better than the other branch that I've tried. We ordered their original and with it 2 pcs of siomai. The siomai was big. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

I'm happy that they have started branching out, and the taste stayed true to it's Binondo roots.  I always order Original Mami, and Asado special siopao.  If you're new to this place, and order just Mami, they will serve you siopao sauce,,, go ahead and pour a generous amount into your mami, try it.  For me it really enhances the taste, in fact i dip the chicken and asado in the sauce, or pour some on the noodles as I eat it.

The Asado siopao at Masuki is on of the best for me.  Sometimes for merienda I order one Special Siopao + Coke and free soup.  It's filling enough, like a heavy snack.

If you are after unlimited soup, then this is the best place to go for! :) Masuki serves one of the best noodles in the Metro! It's original restaurant is actually in Binondo. What I like about their noodles is that the serving is good enough plus the noodles is well cooked! :) It also comes with their unlimited special sauce. However, what I just do not like about their place in Megamall is the smell. I do not know if its their special sauce or what but the smell, especially near the kitchen, is fishy.

I'm a sucker for a good ol bowl of noodles and this one caught my attention. Typical Noodle house. Nothing fancy just straight pedestrian food. Simple yet tasty. Serving is quite big and as for the price? Spot on! Will definitely come back!

We were out for dinner and saw Masuki at the LG. We also needed a good bowl of noodles so we decided to give it a try. I ordered the Wonton Mami and B ordered Asado Mami and Siopao. The noodles were okay, nothing out of the ordinary. It tasted better with their Asado sauce. The food was fairly average.
[Edit]  Gave it a second..third, fourth, fifth.... try!  Masuki has been our regular hangout for a Mami fix.   Prices are average and the food really tastes better with their asado sauce.   I don't know why it tasted better the second time we went; maybe my taste buds were not okay on our first time :P

We were craving for noodles and luckily, there's Masuki in Megamall. We decided to dine there and ordered noodles and siopao. The serving of their special size noodles is big enough to make one full. The sauce that they provide is the best pair for any of their dishes. It's great that we can get to try authentic chinese foon in a big establishment like Megamall.

This is a hidden gem in megamall. It brings nostalgic feels, as if you're dining at old manila, mainly because of the smell, or the servers speaking chinese when giving orders to the kitchen.

The food is near authentic. I would say this is the best place you can get real chinese noodles for the right price.

Big big fan of the noodles. Must try indeed. The asado sauce (correct me if im wrong) brings a whole new dimension to the taste. Feel free to ask for more. I think you can also get extra soup and house tea. They are very willing to please.

Overall I would go back here over and over again without hesitation. This restaurant is unjustly rated here.

I brought my sister to Masuki SM Megamall for a late lunch. A simple meal of Beef Asado Mami for her and Asado Wonton Mami for me. We shared the Bola-bola siopao. I was very much aware that we were in the busy shopping mall in Mandaluyong but when I tasted the mami, it felt like we were in Binondo. Brought back a lot of memories -- enjoying siopao and mami with my parents decades ago. Very comforting.

I have dined at Masuki Megamall three times already. My first visit at Masuki was last December 2013 with my sister Olive. The next two visits I was alone. What I really like about it is the nostalgia.  The menu is very simple. Most of the diners order a siopao to go with the noodles. I'm a bola-bola siopao fanatic since birth (hehe!!)

Authentic flavor from the mami to their siopao. Awesome value for money! We tried the beef wanton mami (regular) and their special siopao. Once you order they will give you a sauce that you can use for your siopao and mami (for added flavor). Food is very filling.

i love the combination of their asado mami and special siopao (jumbo size) yummy and budget friendly. You will have a Binondo feeling while dining inside the resto. But they need to train their staffs to be friendly and smile to the customers (ang sungit nilang tingnan hehehe).

I had a sudden craving for soup, and my hunger pangs brought me to Masuki.

I ordered the Beef Mami (Php 180, regular) which is served with the famous asado sauce. The beef was really tender and the noodles were perfectly firm. It was something I would have again should I crave for some hot soup again.

The service is quick given that there is only one server cleaning and serving.

This is another mami house that is worth trying. I don't know what kind of taste buds the previous girl reviewed about this mami house. She must have an ox tongue. The mami itself has a taste and its really good even w/o the sauce.

My former boss introduced us to Masuki, a restaurant that specializes mami’s and carries the legacy of Ma Mon Luk.

We ordered Beef Mami (Php160) and Chicken Mami (Php110). Both of which tasted plain and looks like I can’t finish my bowl. But my former boss told me that each mami is served with this special sauce (I believe its asado sauce) that must be poured over the mami. When I tried this, he was so damn right! It was so yummy! It gave a sweet and salty taste for every spoonful I ate and finished my bowl within minutes! ;)
