The place is so homey and the design is amazing! The food and coffee is also great! You wouldn't expect the food in a cafe to be this good! The people are also amazing, they're very friendly, kind and accommodating! Will be here often!

Love the ambiance this place gives :) with games and books and of course good coffee and food..will be back to try their dishes and pastas sayang di nakatry ng free coffee nila nung soft opening
One of my faves now. A very cozy place to eat and drink coffee. Staffs are friendly.
Great coffee and nice people!
TGC is my go-to place for breakfast. The location is near condos in Boni literally walking distance.
Food: I haven’t tried a lot of their offerings but so far I really love their Pancit. They are very generous in terms of serving size. I love their breakfast meals too and I always crave for their Fried Bangus. :) I’ve tried some of their pastas before - nothing special but they are not bad. The only bad thing I could say is that every time I order breakfast meals which it comes with an espresso, they always serve my coffee late. Or is it just me that I like eating my breakfast and have my coffee ready for a sip.
Price: For all the food I’ve mentioned (those are usually what I order), I feel that the price is just right. However, the reason why I haven’t tried some other food (viand) in their menu is I think they are too pricey. So, I always settle to the usual food I order every time. :)
Ambiance: The place is strategic for me since it’s very near my place. But the fact that it’s not in a busy area and the place still gets full all the time, it means people are coming back because of their food. The place is cozy and homy.
You don't really expect a good place like that on their location. But it's perfect! The place looks so pretty, pretty like good for IG pictures. The food is delicious! Sisig is so good, the lemon chicken too. Serving is better than what we expected
Everything is delicious! Their turon & pansit is a must try. Ambiance is great. Definitely worth the price.
I’ve been eyeing this cafe for quite a while now, so I’m happy that I finally got to try it and was not disappointed.
All of the food we ordered were good. 😊 I will definitely come back to try more of their food. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that the serving time took soooo long. We were so hungry by the time the food arrived. It was really a good thing that the food was great. Otherwise I would not have enjoyed my stay. I hope the next time I’ll come back, their service will be better 😊
Food is consistently great here but my favorites are Cheese Sticks and TGC House Special Pancit. I've heard from friends that their coffee offerings are also good but I'm not a coffee person so I cannot really vouch for that.
I noticed though in some of my visits during lunch time that service had a tendency to be quite lacking -- less attentive, not accommodating attitude when asking requests. Not all the time naman but I hope good service would be more consistent in the future.
Enjoyed eating at TGC. It has a small cozy place which I find okay. I am also loving their restaurant theme. They also offer some boardgames.
The food we had was tasty. We had their lechon macau & buttered chicken. The flavors mixes well in your mouth. We also tried their drinks and cake! Iced latte and cheesecake. Also some finger foods like cheese sticks and nachos. All are amazing!
We will def come back, AGAIN! :)
Went finally to eat in this place. TGC came into my attention everytime I travel from Kapitolyo to Boni. I’m always curious of this place from a distance since it looks very comforting. Interestingly, when I heard of Henry and Sons for the first time, I got enchanted from the selection of coffee beans they offer. Curiously, TGC was like a hub for my coffee supply. My all time favorite, Premium Roast Arabica, is never out of stock. Just across the streer you’ll find the “Manila Coffee Gear”, a supplier of wide range of coffee machineries and all sorts pf devices involving coffee.
You can imagine that I’m only acquainted with TGC by being a frequent purchaser of coffee beans. At last I’m able to invite, as usual my boss, and two of my staff. I was quite worried because right off the bat, the place is bustling with many patrons. It’ll be indeed a busy trek. Either way we went in and placed our orders to finally eat lunch. We’ve ordered rice toppings such as lechon macau, salt and pepper spareribs, buttered chicken, then a lone order of their recommended pancit, crab and corn soup, timpladong puti for my boss and a flat white for me.
I’m going to go straightforward here. The place is really good. It has this “homey” vibe, which is why I said earlier that from the outside view it looks comforting. The food are quite okay. The pancit took the crown. It was really good. The staff are really accommodating and attentive but the cooking service is a let down. It took around 30 minutes (or even more) for all of our food to be completed. Even though a restaurant is jampacked, having your customer wait for half an hour is a big minus point.
I still wanted visit this place again. Hope they could improve their kitchen’s efficiency. I can see the potential, no wonder there are loads of patrons around. For now though I’m going to settle for a 3 out of 5.
Coffee is 10 stars! Food and ambiance is also good! Clean CR is also a plus. Wifi is not that good sometimes but if you are there to catch up with friends and have meetings then this would not be a problem. I could definitely stay all day! :-)
Cons:
(1) Billing out and (2) serving time takes more than 30 minutes. (3) Limited parking. Below 3 slots only.
We would recommend you pay as you order to avoid #1 especially if you are in a hurry.
Pancit
I have to admit that this cafe really outdid itself since I literally went into a food coma. Even though I was full, I still wanted to eat more. To top that the place was very comfortable and the service was great with their polite staff.
For the full post, visit my blog :)
TGC’a tapsilog is the bomb dot com 🥰 The meal comes with a delicious cup of Americano, too 😊 PERFECTIONNNN
Please try their nachos, too. You won’t regret it!
I love this place. Its my new fave cafe in Mandaluyong. Php95 for a decent cup of flat white?! What more can I ask for?
The food is a different story. It was not bad, but it was not great too. Unfortunately it can be forgettable. The dishes lack flavor.
They also need more cake or dessert options. I enjoyed the cheese flan though.
Scrumoptious food and a very chill place. Not too noisy. Can conduct short quiet meetings. :) Price range was okay cause the food is worth the price. Will be back again soon!
Second time to eat here! It’s a quaint little cafe in the neighborhood. I love the ambiance and food. Not too noisy at all for a cafe-restaurant. The interior has this modern asian vibes. Ordered sweet and sour fish, nachos, and fries. Will come back to try the coffee.

Everything and everyone in this cafe is so nice! Ambiance and interiors are so comfy and cool. The best coffee milk tea, coffee, and turon of all. My new favorite cafe.
TGC is a unique cafe where its very cozy, affordable and good at the same time. They give back to the community of coffee farmers which is really nice. The beef pares with garlic rice is a must try! I'm not much of a coffee fan but my friend and I shared their coffee flight (3 different cups of their best coffee for tasting) and I absolutely enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back here with my friend to try more of their coffee.
After our workshop at the ICE (Institute for Coffee Excellence) ), we had lunch at TGC (The Giving Cafe) which is also owned by the group. It is located right across ICE. (Click here for details of the experience). You’d be welcomed by this cat. We had pancit, chicken, sweet and sour pork…
We recently passed by for some Jasper and engineered milk from philippine barista champion michael conlin. Unfortunately, they ran out so we had their coffee flight instead. For 288 its really quite affordable as we were able to sample 3 rare coffees. Will definitely be back again to try their other beans.
I would've rated 3.5 if there's a .5 option.
TGC is the place to be for titas out there.
We dined here on a Friday night. The cafe looks tight from the outside but apparently it's spacious and cozy inside.
We ordered their all day breakfast: Corned Beef Silog, Daing na Bangus Silog. It comes with a cup of Cafe Americano. I opted for Iced Americano with whipped cream (+P25 I think) since I'm not much of a coffee drinker while my best friend tried their Cheesy Cocoa. We also tried their Cheese Sticks made with mozzarella and cheddar. It would've been better if the dipping sauce is Marinara Sauce instead of another creamy/cheesy/mayo kind of dip. It'll make you umay so I settled for tomato ketchup instead.
I didn't get to finish my meal though. The downside of this cafe is that they are only open til 10-10:30.
Really nice cafe if you want to hang out. There are also parking spaces available so that's a plus.
Piccolo - I'm not a coffee expert but I did like the taste of it. A bit strong and has a nice flavor.
Black velvet hot cocoa - It's not rich and too creamy for my taste. Also lacks a bit of sweetness.
The Giving Cafe is a restaurant where you can eat and at the same time give. There are special dishes here where a portion of the money you pay will be used to support coffee farmers and their families.
Besides from enjoying the feeling of giving, you will also enjoy eating because the food here are certainly delicious. Our personal favorites here are the claypot beef and the honey sriracha chicken pandesal on planks!

Affordable food and beverage! Proceeds of what we eat will go to their foundation to support the local coffee farmers in our country. Awesome job! I will definitely go back here!
The Giving Cafe is a hidden nook waiting to be discovered by foodies who want some chill vibes after work. They have got a wide range of offering from pastas, soups, rice meals, and shakes. Feeling down? TGC will lift your mood. Rainy night? TGC will give you warmth. Kudos to the service staff as they are very attentive.
Food - 4/5
Price - 3/5
Place - 5/5
Service - 5/5
So in love with this place! Went here with my churchmates for a dinner, and I found the interior very homey feels. The lights, furniture, and accents gave me a feel-at-home vibe.
The food is very affordable and they are also generous in servings. We ordered their pancit and coming from someone who’s not a pancit fan, their pancit tastes delicious! Their coffee’s great, too.
I’d love to go back here and try more from their menu.
Medyo matagal lang magserve but everything we ordered is sooooo gooood! Lalo their corned beef pandesal. OMG. I’m doing this while I’m still here. Ganun kasarap.
The ambience and its concept are nice and peaceful. Good food for good price - totally worth it. This place is cozy with good vibes. It is now one of my favorite cafe in the city.
Why I go here:
Go-to place when I need to work out of the house - really fast internet connection.
I'm not sure if it's because of the time of the day I usually come here but it's never full. (Maybe it's just me.)
Really cool interiors. If you get to sit on one of those couches/accent chairs, you wouldn't want to get off.
Fancy bathroom! (what??)
They have free parking.
Servers are polite and they don't hover.
Favorite dish/es:
Crunchy nachos (I always order this when I eat here. Worth the price.)
Every other food I ordered are also good. I just had Tapsilog. It's tapsilog.
Favorite drink:Not really big on coffee (gasps!) but the house blend iced tea is pleasant.
Price point:
It's not super affordable, but it's also not BCG break-the-bank price point.
Caveat/s:
Internet is free for the first 60 minutes, you have to pay P35/hour after that.
(It looks like they're on 100Mbps plan, so why not??)
A hidden place near Pioneer St that offer very affordable food and beverages. I was really impressed with their Honey Sriracha Chicken Pandesal on Planks. It was only 195 pesos and really worth it. The pandesal was soft and perfectly matched the chicken. We also ordered their pancit canton (small serving) and tokwa't baboy which can really serve 2-3 persons.
I love the vibe of this place and their support for local coffee! A must try!
One of my favorite coffee shop around pioneer st. If you want to chill and relax in a nice coffee shop with quality of foods, but you don't want far and crowded place, this is the best one. I have been here many times, with different companions and all of them fell in love with the ambiance and foods. Unlike other coffee shops who only serves coffees and desserts, TGC offers variety of foods like pork, chicken, beef and vegetables. One of our favorites is their pancit canton served with chili garlic sauce. Their white pasta is a must try too. Their single order is good for sharing up to 3 person. The price is affordable too. I will always come back in this restaurant.
Good food, inexpensive price, no msg. I will definitely come back to try everything else. We need more places like this that are not pretentious
Ambience and service are excellent. It gives a relaxing vibe. Perfect for those small intimate catch ups with your bffs. Food is good but the drink selections are better especially the iced black velvet. Servings are appropriate with the price. The only negative part was their leche flan dessert. Dont order that.
A cafe with cozy and stylish ambiance drawing diners to an unlikely location along sheridan st. Glad to see the place was almost packed lunchtime on a Saturday.
Americano and Red Velvet Cocoa were our beverages. Coffee was strong and the cocoa was heavenly!
Corned beef Pandesal on Planks was really good. Tasty sautéed corned beef in a toasted Pandesal. Barbecue flavored French fries with TGC dipping sauce was good too. Chicken Afritada was a big dish (even though we got the 'small' order) - but just ordinary in taste.
I had been to a lot of different cafes and am still looking for new ones because I kinda fancy being out on weekends enjoying my free time, catching up with friends, writing up for my blog or sometimes doing some work while I am enjoying a cup of coffee. Caffeine plays a great role in our daily lives. Well, for me. And you know what I mean if you are procaffeinating like me. LOL.
Found a new fav place to just chill and wind up.
Place is cozy, vintage with a modernized style. Board games and books are also available for a little activity while waiting for the food or enjoying the company.
Food and service is good, generously served.
I just find the menu a bit confusing. It has Chinese, Western, Filipino, and Spanish cuisine.
What we ordered:
Salt and Pepper Chicken - flavorful in a precise level.
White Pasta - al dente pasta; yummy, cheesy, sauce.
Cheesy Cocoa - an interesting drink. Cocoa with a little bit of saltiness from the cheese-blended whipped cream. :)
Yogurt Tea - obviously tasted like Yakult, I wish the taste of the tea comes out more.
Cheese Sticks - bomb. Cheddar and mozzarella cheese. with a mayo-like dipping sauce with lemon and chives flavor.
Definitely a place worth trying out. Will be back here again soon.
I love their Tapsilog! I swear it tastes like no other tapsilog I’ve ever tasted. I also tried their Milk Tea and it was quite yummy as well. I’d really love to go try again sometime ☺️
My coffee enthusiast friend and I toured parts of Metro Manila coffee shops a couple of months back, and The Giving Cafe in Pioneer was one of our stops.
This enterprising cafe not only serves food and drinks but also contributes to the growth of our coffee farmers in Benguet. I love how one combines business and social involvement.
The ambiance here is definitely Instagram worthy. It also boasts comfortable seats and a well air-conditioned area.
The Giving Cafe is more than just a caffeine break, as they have a stretch of dishes, more than enough to cater your lunch and dinner cravings. We, however, were only able to sample their sweets and coffee.
Our table had their version of creamy Banoffee Pie, filled to the brim with soft and light whipped cream, and underneath it were loads of sliced sweet bananas and crushed graham. We paired this with Coffee Flights of the Day, a sampling of three of their single origins. They served us coffee from Guatemala, El Salvador, and Ethiopia. Each of these had a very distinct taste from spice to natural sweetness.
The Giving Cafe offers up to 15 different beans a day. That is a surmounting amount of inventory to make any coffee lover jump up and down. They have blends also from Sumatra, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Peru, and Nicaragua.
We also had a Banana Split before we went home, a bowl of ice cream and cuts of even more bananas. I personally went bananas as I was impressed on what this whole company represents. I suggest you check them out too.
Very nice ambience! The management have thought very well about the kind of market they will have - millenials. Given the case, the place os full of areas to take photos (even the comfort room). The place is oozing with design but also very relaxing. The food as well are very picturesque and very tasty. I must say that it's worth the price. They have WIFI but only up for an hour, after which you'll have to pay for the succeeding time at 35 pesos an hour. Service is not very fast, it took us time to get our orders and bill but I think it's somehow worth the wait. I'll definitely return to this place simply for it's vivid yet relaxing ambience (with great food).
The Giving Cafe a coffee shop from the people behind Henry&Sons PH. One of the most popular coffee equipment distributor here in the Philippines. TGC is located in Sheridan just a few blocks from TV5 office. By the name itself TGC is a social enterprise cafe that helps farmers of the La Trinidad Benguet. Wow love how most coffee shop are really becoming a forefront when it comes to helping the community.
The interior of TGC is a beauty. I love the rope design of the ceiling. Giving a reference to the family rope manufacturing business. The inteior will give you a homey feel with its variety of ornaments and books displayed. A great place to spend a quiet afternoon.
For the food and coffee we got an order of Bihon Guisado (195PHP) and Flat white (95PHP). Love the big serving of the bihon and toppings was very generous. Great steal for 195PHP. For the flatwhite at 95PHP wow this is one of the cheaper flat white I have lately. The coffee bean they used was on the bitter strong side which will keep you awake the whole day. Love it!
They also have Auro chocolates here. If you love Malagos chocolate this is another brand from davao that I really like!😊
Overall great friendly barista, great interior, great food, great coffee and of course great social business. The most important part power outlet are available. 😊

TGC is one of the new kids on the block in Highway Hills! Loved the warm and cozy decor - it felt so homely. We ordered an Americano, a Hot Mocha and a Banoffee Pie. The hot coffees were priced at Php 95 each and the pie was for Php 155. Loved the coffee, it was perfectly brewed and the Banoffee pie wasn’t what I had expected but tasted good so I am not complaining - it had a chocolate base with a whiff of crumbled biscuits, sliced banana and lots n lots of whipped cream! Overall, prompt service, great decor and reasonable pricing - will visit again to try out the mains!
FOOD: Good food and coffee. The price is cheaper than the others. I love their huge popcorn bowl!!! ❤️🍿
AMBIANCE: Perfect for me!!! A good place to catch up with friends and even work. Their wash room is a plus!
I'm planning to go back here with my small group. I hope we can use their close door room next time. All in all this is a good place to visit.
Excellent coffee! The food choices are also great. Ambiance is good and the service is top-notch. This café is a good weekend hangout place.
A good cup of coffee for a cause, that's what this place is all about! The Giving Cafe or TGC is a social enterprise of coffee solutions company, Henry and Sons, to support the coffee community of La Trinidad, Benguet through various livelihood programs and activities (e.g. educational assistance to promote literacy, livelihood programs to assist farmers during the period between planting and harvesting, etc.). Also, their coffee is budget-friendly, ranging from P95 to P105 (hot).
The place has a very inviting and homey atmosphere that would be perfect for some gatherings with friends and/or family. They also have a private room that can be closed off.
Server was nice to me and very willing to have some chat regarding the store, the products and the idea behind everything.
They have a wide range of menu that consists of rice meals, sandwiches, pastas, etc. The only lacking would be desserts because I always pair my coffee with some sweets. I hope they get to add some soon.
The Giving Cafe, or just TGC, is a new cafe along Sheridan Street, Mandaluyong (near the more popular Pioneer Street) that seeks to make a difference to the local coffee community. It functions as a social enterprise, where a portion of the proceeds from select dishes supports the Foundation for Sustainable Coffee Excellence geared towards helping the coffee farmers in La Trinidad, Benguet.
The cafe is being run by Henry and Sons, a total coffee solutions company that has been around for years. With over 50 years of coffee experience that offers unique crop-to-cup coffee solutions, if there's a company that would know how to run a cafe, it's Henry and Sons.
They also recently rolled out Bloom Coffee, where you can support a specific issue that's troubling La Trinidad coffee farms but let's delve more on that later.
Here's a look into the new social enterprise...
The Giving Café also known as TGC: A Social Enterprise is a newly-opened café along Sheridan Street, Mandaluyong.
This quaint and homey café was opened by the owner of Henry & Sons PH (a well-known coffee equipment manufacturer) to support local coffee growers in La Trinidad, Benguet. For every coffee sold, 1% of the proceeds will go to FSCE — Foundation for Sustainable Coffee Excellence. A non-government organization with the aim of bringing the Philippines back in the spotlight globally through sustainable farming.
From the outside, it wouldn't look like a café at first with its brick walls, quotations and artsy stuff. But once you're inside, it's a charming café with ample seating, a reading nook and a coffee bar where you can see your coffee being prepared in front of you.
We visited TGC one lazy Sunday afternoon. The place is well-lit with a homey vibe, perfect for coffee dates or just a peaceful hangout place by yourself. Being a bookworm, I really loved their reading nook! During the afternoon, natural light comes through the see-through window which makes for a perfect reading session. And during the evening, it's a nice spot to just sit, think and relax while enjoying a warm cup of coffee. They have a great collection of books, from Paulo Coelho's classics to Lang Leav's poetry. My bookworm self is rejoicing!
We ordered a cup of Hot Mocha (P95), Wintermelon Milk Tea (P105) and Flat White (P95). As we were already full from lunch, we just opted to ordered several finger food to go with the drinks — Rosemary Bacon Popcorn (P130) and Crunchy Nachos (P185).
The coffee, as expected were amazing. I had the Hot Mocha and loved the chocolate notes and the bitter aftertaste of the espresso. Price point is good, too! Considering coffee is just around P95-P150. You'd get great coffee and at the same time supporting a cause. ♥️
The Rosemary Bacon Popcorn was HUGE. Believe me, when I say it's huge, it's huge! Bet it's good for 4-5 people. Really loved this one, it's like your regular popcorn but fancier. The rosemary butter wasn't too strong just enough to create a nice flavorful kick. Also enjoyed the generous amount of bacon bits in it. Order this if you're planning to stay long and do some work or just read.
We stayed at The Giving Café for the rest of the afternoon until early evening. Ecstatic that we found this new gem, perfect for coffee enthusiasts like us! And remember, every cup of joe you enjoy is a huge help to our local coffee farmers. ♥️
I'm here almost every week cause I really love this new cafe in Sheridan. Why? 1. The ambiance would make you feel that you are in a rich ancestral home. The interior, furnitures, displays even the coffee machine looks so amazing. 2. The food and drinks are really good. Every week I'm trying something new from their menu and as of today, my favorite is their Bihon Guisado and the La Trinidad Strawberry Shake. 3. The people here are so nice, it's as if your dining in with a friend that's why I don't mind coming here alone sometimes. And everytime I come here, I am always welcomed with genuine smiles. Kudos to Ms. Cindy and her team! I will definitely come back and invite my friends over.
Beyond the great ambiance and friendly staff, I really love the food and coffee they serve not to mention the good books that the customer can read on their nook. TGC is a great hang-out place for people who love to read. I will definitely go back here. :)
Aesthetic and ambience is great, has a very homey vibe. Altho finding a parking is tough. Staff are friendly and attentive. I have been here twice already, it can get a bit crowded from lunch to dinner on weekdays, more laid back during weekend especially mornings. It's a good thing they open at 7. Menu can be more extensive especially breakfast but atleast the serving is big (the actual menu in the restaurant still doesn't have everything posted here) Their drinks tho are so good! Try their black velvet iced. Wifi is free the 1st hour. Definitely one of my new favorite places. :));
Went here for some coffee and chill time with friends. Ordered the flat white and it was so good, played some board games too. The place has a nice ambiance to it, a gem in sheridan street. Will definitely come back.
