Their buttermilk chicken is a must try! I was able to try it on my first visit. But on the second one, we got the Cajun Butter Roast Chicken. It was okay. I like that they served it with brown rice. And perfectly seasoned for me -not too overpowering cajun taste. The servers were very thoughtful and extra nice for having asked us if the food was okay. Their Chicken Po’Boy sandwich is good for two! I just can’t finish the whole thing on my own.
Another must try is their corn muffin. So good 😊
So, yesterday, I have decided to eat my lunch here at Kettle because I heard that their Buttermilk Fried Chicken is good. So, I ordered the Original BFC Solo that includes the following: One Muffin, Brown or White Rice (that you can also substitute with another muffin), Gravy and side salad.
The Chicken was surprisingly tender (well, small for the price TBH). It was so good and buttery but not oily while the skin was crispy. The gravy adds spice to the chicken and more flavor. I opted to have brown rice instead of white.
The muffin was something I could consider great and worth it really -- tender, generous in corn and filling. The side salad was just okay, nothing special really but nonetheless, what I just did not expect was the size of the Chicken.
The service was really good but not excellent either.
First bite and I just died 😭 truly the best buttermilk fried chicken in town!! Worth the travel everytime I go here. Brought my friends here from Seoul and they told me it’s really THE BEST! Also one of the gems here are the macncheese and my all time fave truffle pasta! Can’t go wrong with the combination of the chicken and the corn muffin. It literally melts in your mouth like WOW!!!!

Another of EDSA Shangri-La's very good restaurants, Kettle is a best place to just have a chit-chat with friends and family. Again I had to meet a friend, a College one. I just learned she's working around Bulacan so I invited her with me being the host again, oh the irony. Initially she wanted Ramen, something close as well to her place so I agreed. However she, for some reason, suggested EDSA Shangri-La. I immediately said "okay", though it was pretty much favorable for my part, besides I'm the host for crying out loud.
I've been rooting for Kettle for sometime. I really loved the idea of Buttermilk Chicken partnered with something like pancakes, waffles or for this case muffins. I arrived first and estimated a good 15 minutes before even getting a table. Anyway I ordered for their classic Buttermilk Chicken with three servings of muffins and a helping of gravy and some good honey. I also ordered Truffle Gorgonzola Pasta, Kettle Club Sandwich and a Carafe of Lemon Iced Tea.
The Buttermilk Chicken was really good. It's boneless, not dry and goes well with either their gravy or together with the moist muffins. You'll have to slather the muffin with honey to give that kick you'll never expect to go well. They even had this Nori Fried Chicken Matcha Waffle, I'll try it next time. Their club house sandwich is surprising. Served in some crispy, strings of potato fries, their sandwich is packed with fillings which per my only complain, is quite messy to eat. I loved burgers and sandwiches, but the one thing I really hate is the messiness of eating them. There's only select few restaurant that I know how to handle this well. This one doesn't though, albeit it was still really delicious, I'll give them that. I find the string fries negligible. I didn't actually mind them until we almost finished the sandwiches. I didn't like the Truffle Gorgonzola Pasta. I believe Gorgonzola is some type of cheese and I really didn't like the taste and smell of it. It was good like a basic Carbonara pasta but didn't strike me well. Lastly was the iced tea. Sorry but, despite there's nothing in the Menu that says it's a "house blend" how it taste still matters. I feel like I'm only drinking a regularly mixed commercial iced tea (you know what I mean). My friend shares the same sentiment when we went hunting for a watering hole after we ate in this restaurant.
Maybe we ordered few wrong meals but overall it was pretty decent. I would love to go back and try their other dishes to adjust my previous experience. The place is cozy, not too packed and clean. Their staff is quite attentive and properly stationed on spots where they could easily spot their patrons when asking for help. That's a good point.
First time at this place. Went there during lunch with my co-workers. Presentation, quantity, and quality are all good! Staff are friendly and the ambiance is just right. It was a nice experience.

The food was quite good and looked really great for photos and instagram. The met for the short ribs were very tender but i found the sauce to be too sweet. The fried chicken was amazingly tender and was of a very large portion. The hredded fries were great too especially if you are going as a group.
Fried chicken and cornbread are delicious. Enormous chicken is good for sharing. Gravy and spicy honey portions could be more generous than the thimble size caps.
I went here with friends. The staff is very friendly and attentive to our needs. I really love the bright lighting and the ambiance of the restaurant because it produces good photos for social media use.

I love fried chicken. I love it since I was a kid and I never outgrew this favorite food of mine :D which is why when I've read reviews and seen pics of the buttermilk fried chicken of Kettle, I made sure to try it asap. And I have no regrets! The BFC is crispy, tasty, tender, and very juicy. It's everything you'd like your fried chicken to be. The serving size is huge too. The corn muffin that comes with it is also tasty on its own! We ordered ceasar salad as well and it's equally good. Service also did not disappoint as the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
The buttermilk chicken is very good. It passed the test of two very hungry kids. The pasta with salmon was tasty as well but a bit pricey. But we shall return here.
The potato string tower is a must-order appetizer. First time to try their pasta and sandwich and they were okay. I think I'll just stick to my usual order (buttermilk fried chicken with muffin, which is good for 2 if you arent a heavy eater like me) when I visit again.

Looooove the food here. The branch isn’t as “nice” as I hoped it would be though (i.e. to match how good the food is). The inside space is small so I only get to sit in the outside areas of the restaurant on both sides so there’s technically no (good) ambience.
But anyway the food is good and here are my top favorites:
Appetizer: Potato & Pork Strips (don’t forget to use and abuse the dipping sauce!)
Pasta: Truffle Gorgonzola
Main: Buttermilk Fried Chicken with cornbread
We get those 3 and I’m a happy camper! They have other delicious dishes of course but I always end up at least with those 3 on the table. 😉

We tried their Clam Chowder (Php 259), Truffle Gorgonzola Pasta (Php 299), and Half Pounder Angus Burger (Php 479). The Clam Chowder was small for the price but placed in a well baked sourdough bread. The Truffle pasta was good but was missing something--like maybe fresh mushrooms. It seemed sorely lacking something to break the rich creaminess from being too much. The Burger was extremely juicy and very substantial. You may want to half it with someone.
This is the second time that I dined in Kettle, the first one was at their Resorts World branch (which is now closed). We ordered Buttermilk Fried Chicken Platter, Four Cheese Sandwich, Pork and Potato Strips, U.S. Beef Angus Short Ribs and he had Iced Tea for our drink.
The service was good and the staff and manager were attentive except for one staff that I asked for an additional spoon and she never came back.
The quality of the food were the same as before it's just that the chicken that I had at Resorts World was more tasty and delicious.
For A’s 27th birthday, we went to eat here. Consider it a birthday treat and date at the same time. :)

Love their chicken and biscuits dish. Something I always get along with their truffle pasta. Can be really filling and quite expensive but definitely value for money when you get the chance to try it out.
Having to experience Kettle was an enlightenment. Their chicken is just out of this world, definitely a favorite! I ordered their original butter milk chicken, the spicy and the nori one. Their chicken is sooo juicy and tender. I'm not the biggest fan of anything spicy, but the spicy one had the best kick. I would definitely come back and recommend everyone to try it!
Its been months since our last Kettle visit. Been missing their buttermilk chicken. So off to Shang we went after hearing Sunday mass.
Ordered their new variant - 3 pc buttermilk chicken in orig and nori along with truffle pasta (our favorite), pork and fries, glazed salmon, smoked salmon salad.
Smoked salmon salad remains our favorite starter along with that mound of kettle fries.Chicken were consistently moist inside with crunchy and flavorful skin. The nori variant's flavor was too subtle though

Kettle is one of those establishments that consistently maintains the quality of both their food and service no matter where they expand. I’ve recently had the pleasure of dining in their Edsa Shangrila Mall branch and I can say that the experience is as good as their other 2 branches. Their buttermilk fried chicken is still top notch. Their unique take on fries is still a great crowd pleaser (once you pop a piece you won’t stop). The only thing about I would have a comment on would be how small their branch is. It’s not well spaced and at times it’s just uncomfortable to just move around.

I have had a long love affair with Kettle. I remember it really well the first week when Kettle opened in Shangri-La Plaza when I ordered Shrimp Po'Boy (soft Ciabata Roll, Cajun Breaded Shrimps, Remoulade). It was a love at first bite (sorry, can't resist). Since then, I would go to their branch in SM Aura (and back to Shang) and try different items on the menu like Reuben, Kettle House Salad and yes, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken.
So, when a good fried flew in from NY, we trooped to the Shangri-La branch with another good friend, Chef Pauline. We had the Fried Chicken Platter, the Reuben and the Chorizo Vodka (Penne, Tomato Cream, Vodka, Parmesan). Everyone enjoyed the food (actually, my NY friend came back with her friend who flew in from somewhere), attempted to finish everything but failed. Ended up endlessly walking in the mall with the hope we can actually burn off the unwanted fat we just dumped on our not-so-young bodies. Again, we failed.
Question. If I love Kettle that much, why give a 4.5 only? The service. Maybe I expect too much from the restaurant that I have been having a love affair with for the longest time. Siguro. I dunno.
And I don't intend to start by saying how smug the servers in Kettle. I maybe wrong. Well, just check them out.

Always wanted to eat here, gotten a chance during my birthday weekend. Was not disappointed, I would likely recommend this place. Soothing comfort food. Not a perfect experience some good some can still improve. But a good first visit

Buttermilk Chicken - so soft and tender. Amazingly flavourful when spiced correctly. The gravy just completed it.
Truffle and Gorgonzola pasta - was okay, it lacked something , a protein or something of a different texture but compliments or complimented by the combination of food we ate.
Calamari - hit and miss! The squid was either soft or too chewy. It’s probably the oil my mom commented. The siracha mayo closed the gap from a bad impression to okay. When the chef asked us how was the food and mom gave her comment, he apologised and told us he will remove it from the bill.
Smoked Salmon Salad - highly recommend, a little fresh pepper heightens the dish.

THE PLACE
It was clean, well-lit and had pretty good ambiance. There are 3 “dining areas” and we were seated on the couch quite comfortably.
THE STAFF/SERVICE
Our food were served in about 10 minutes after ordering and completed by the 15-minute mark so no complaints there. They were attentive and the head chef asked us about our food also - a very rare occurance these days. I appreciate the gesture.
THE FOOD
Smoked Salmon Salad with Dill Ranch Dressing - we really liked this. A break from the usual/regular salads. I was worried the smoked salmon would be too salty, but the tangy dressing balances it out. Highly recommended.
Calamari with Sriracha Mayo - it was a hit and miss. Some are tender and some rubbery. Also, tasted like they used over-used oil when frying this. When the chef asked for our feedback, he apologized and saud he will investigate and immediately “refunded” the order. We weren’t after the free food. It was actually not necessary because we still ate the food. But we appreciate it - again, rare occurance these days.
Truffle and Gorgonzola Pasta - This was rich and creamy. I would have liked it better if there was something else to munch on - like different mushrooms slices to enhance the experience. It’s like there’s something missing. But it’s still okay.
Buttermilk Chicken Platter - This was really really good! The chicken was extremely soft and tender even if it was breaded and fried. The chicken is good on it’s own, but is better accompanied with something else - the muffin siding is a big plus. Tasted better than expected!
Overall, we had a nice time here. Good food all around. Will come back another time to try out other menu items. :)
I’ve been wanting to write this review since my cousin has influenced me into eating here. But while waiting for their buttermilk chicken I figured, I’ve got time. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten here and hopefully it’s as good as I remember it! Staff always friendly. And my favorite branch remains to be the branch in shangri-la. Hands down the beat chicken in the metro!

Tried this because of the buttermilk chicken and it did not disappoint. I just feel it is little overpriced for a chicken... fried chicken! The good thing is, the food still satisfied my palate and would want to dine again if I feel like splurging on food.
The triple-cheese sandwich was nakaka-umay after I finished half of the sandwich; (or was it meant for sharing?) Good thing I ordered coffee to saturate the flavor.

I really love going back here, on my third attempt, I still ordered their best seller chicken that is to die for, and their soup and salad. It is really worth the wait once you get your order on the table. The advise I can give is always go for the best seller and don't be scared to try other food on the menu.
This is my 3rd time in Kettle, second in this branch. I ordered a new menu item, Japanese nori chicken with waffle. It was tender, same as their ever popular buttermilk chicken. It costs less (P399) but smaller in portion, cut in chunks. I like that they paired it with waffle this time instead of the corn bread just to differentiate. The chicken could have used more nori flavor.
My wife had the truffle carbonara which I tasted. It was okay, but the bread that came with it was too tough.
Kettle is a favorite - a go to restaurant for my family and friends. Everyone will find something to enjoy at Kettle. A staple on every trip to Kettle would be the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. It's so good that Kettle came up with a permutation of this signature dish, its Nori Fried Chicken and Matcha Waffles (pictured). Its a good dish but I would still stick with the original. Other dishes we had on this visit were the Angus Roast Beef Hash (a must try, but not a staple), Truffle Gorgonzola Pasta (too creamy, truffle taste too mild), Pork and Potato Strips (reminds you of Piknik but served with a dip - also a favorite). I never leave Kettle disappointed.

There's a reason why Kettle is known for their Butter Milk Fried Chicken. Very tasty, tender, and juicy. There were 3 pieces of chicken included in the platter but it was enough for 4 people. Very generous serving size for an affordable amount.
The Grilled Four Cheese sandwich was ok. I loved it because I like anything with cheese. The sweet flavor wad just a little overpowering for my taste, but as a whole it was an enjoyable dish most especially because of the well-seasoned fries as its side dish.
Been here several times already and I always (and I mean always!) order their Pork & Potato Strips which is a tower of goodness!
So Kettle offers southern American dishes like the usual buttermilk fried chicken --- which I love! --- and other comfort food.

Had a late lunch at this branch. Totally loved the crispy and juicy buttermilk chicken with their fluffy corn bread. Also loved their oven roasted squash soup oooohhhh with the shrimp salad.. if only I could have more of that salad haha! Also had themac and four cheese,, tasty but still hoping it wasn't dry that time. Will be back at Kettle but will be visiting the Eastwood branch instead as it's nearer my place.
I LOVE the buttered chicken. The only thing that makes it different from good lechon is that it had wings when it was alive. Also had some pasta and it was an excellent combo. Highly recommended. Going to try more of their menu next time.

I've been to this branch of Kettle quite a lot of times. And I always order their famous buttermilk chicken. But this time I ordered another dish which is Angus Roast beef Hash. It was okay, I enjoyed it coz I was craving for a beef but something lite so I opted not to order rice since I have a workout later that day. The service was beyond superb, the staff will give you this VIP feel in your stay. I'll definitely still go back to this restaurant
Dined in on a busy Saturday, chicken and pork strips that night were 8/10, tasted like they were cooked in a rush, a bit underseasoned and didn't taste like fresh from the fryer. The French onion soup was horrible - lumpy caramelized onions in lukewarm broth. The toast was so soggy like they pickled it overnight in the broth. The cheese was like chewed gum. Never ordering it again.

As an extended birthday celebration, I and my family headed to Shangri-La Plaza Mall to have our lunch right after attending a Sunday mass and we chose to eat here at Kettle.
What we had for our lunch here at Kettle were the Clam Chowder Soup which was served on a sourdough bread bowl (Php 229), Kettle House Salad (Php 339), Australian Lamb Adobo (Php 449) , Buttermilk Fried Chicken (Php 519) and Pork and Potato Strips (Php 339). Not bad for a group meal.
Really good buttermilk fried chicken! Their food is just a little pricey but it's worth it. The service is good too. Very friendly servers who make sure you're well attended to.
We ordered their buttered chicken and I must say it did meet our expectation. All those reviews which I thought were too good to be true proves me wrong. It was a bit pricey though but still worth my money. Tried their salad and mashed potato too and boy I haven't had a decent salad in a long time i guess.

Sunday LIGHT dinner at Kettle. It's been a while since we last ate here.
My family loves their Clam Chowder :) I ordered their French Onion Soup which was okay, nothing special. I wish they put more cheese in it.
We also had their U.S Angus Short Ribs made with braised cervesa negra and chipotle barbecue sauce with garlic mashed potato and coleslaw on the side. We liked it.
Grilled Four Cheese, made with English loaf | Gruyere | Fontina | Cheddar Cheese | Parmesan | Sweet Potato Jam | Basil Crunch
And lastly the honey glazed cornbread muffin on the side.
Service was good and fast.

Ordered nori fried chicken with miso butter and matcha waffle. Generous serving of chicken but couldn't taste the flavor of the nori. .The tastiest piece of the dish was the miso butter. Service was good. Servers are accomodating and friendly. Overall, good dining experience.
Sunday lunch. It's a good thing we arrived early since they don't accept reservations on weekeneds and the place became packed around 12 pm onwards. We were a big group (around 13) and they had seated us comfortably.
Food were great and generous in servings. We had Kettle House Salad, Smoked Salmon Salad, Pork and Potato Strips, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Miso Glazed Salmon and Australian Lamb Adobo.
Staff were corteous and attentive. Paying the bill was done in a breeze.
Will come back again.
Kettle is very populat with their high reviews and good recommendations. They definitely did not disappoint. Everything that we ordered had ezcelleny presentation and taste. The open faced soft angus beef tacos were heavenly. Everything was a tad salty though but i think i just have a personal distaste for overly salty food compared to other people. Still definitely a solid restaurant! We also tried berry rumble (cocktail) and it was quite good as well.

We've been meaning to try out this restaurant for quite some time because of its positive reviews. We finally got the chance, and here's what we think:
The Place
Kettle is located at the 5th floor of Edsa Shangri-la's East Wing. We were luckily seated at one of the private booths located in the restaurant's entrance.
It would have been perfect had we not seen a little cockroach crawling at one of the couches.
The Service
It's not consistent. The Maitre d was accommodating and attentive, but not the waiters; they waited to be called before they approached; they just stood at the corner watching the diners eat.
The Food
Their servings are good for 2-3 people. We ordered only two items:
Pork and Potato Strips - a huge mound of shoestring potatoes and bits of pork belly. This was really good, full of flavor, and really filling. One order is good for 3-4 people.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken - 2 large thigh chicken fillets coated with buttermilk and fried until crispy, with corn bread as sides. Best eaten with rice, it's an upgrade from your typical fried chicken.
The Price
The food is quite expensive, but they make up for the big portions.
We will go back to this place, if only for the Pork and Potato Strips. :)
Enjoyed my second visit in Kettle. This time, we had their pork and potato strips, buttermilk fried chicken, mac and four cheese, and truffle gorgonzola. We loved ALL the food, especially the pork and potato strips. The truffle and the mac and cheese were both creamy and filling. The chicken didn't disappoint, its juicy and crispy. Will definitely go back for more exciting food experience with Kettle.

One of my go-to restaurants when I crave for delicious chicken. Their buttermilk fried chicken is the bomb, great with the corn bread. The Angus burger is great too, for those burger loving foodies.
We were all famished and decided to have dinner at Kettle. We started off with clam chowder (259PHp) it was creamy and delicious. Then we ordered Truffle Gorgonzola (299PHp), Buttermilk Chicken (559PHp) and Spicy Buttermilk Chicken (599PHp), our tummies were happy.
Could've been the best fried chicken and burger I've ever eaten if it was seasoned properly.
Chicken is super crispy and moist.
Burger is juicy and perfectly cooked.

I have never denied my preference to American food compared to any other cuisine.. save for Chinese. Maybe because it's because I'm a simple meat and potatoes guy, and a lot of american dishes are straight up, no frills comfort food cooking. . Which I think is pretty much what Kettle has nailed. After our sumptuous lunch at Ooma, we found ourselves loitering around Shang. I wanted to have a light snack before we go home. Then i saw kettle....i gots to try dem chips.
I dragged him inside. We got a table immediately, feigned interest on the other items on their menu (yes, i only see Chips). You wouldn't be surprised if I tell you that we got the chips, yes?

This a mixture of potato strips (Piknik cut) and pork. Okay, whoever thought of mixing these two together is a genius! I like the fact that they flavored the potatoes well. I taste truffle on each bite. The cheese and the thyme creates an interesting flavor contrast. Truffle x thyme smells so good. 4 stars for now, i like Fireside's take on chips (truffle x blue cheese)
| Creme Brulee. This baby is of French descent and has many names - Burnt Cream, Crema Catalana and Trinity Cream. This is a dessert made of a custard base covered with a contrasting layer of hard caramel.
I haven't eaten a lot of french pastries in my lifetime and i dunno how a mean Creme Brulee should taste like. I can say that they nailed the caramel layer, i can hear cracks when i tapped my spoon on the caramel surface. The custard is creamy and not overly sweet.
Kettle is one of the restaurants I'd visit again. I want to try their savory dishes soon.
Great value for money! The food tasted good and the servings were HUGE! Given the price and the serving, it offers great value for your money.
We ordered the Oven-roasted Squash Soup, Smoked Salmon Salad, and Four-cheese Sandwich w/ sweet potato fries. The Peach Iced Tea was also good. Overall - highly recommended.
Food is great and is worth your money. It may be a bit pricey but they have big servings which may be good enough for two. We had truffle gorgonzola pasta, clam chowder and US angus short ribs and green iced tea.
I tried Kettle last year, and ever since I discovered it until today, it's no doubt - still my favorite restaurant!! ❤️ I recently posted a review for their other restaurant -- Fireside (I'm not sure if they're sister companies or if Fireside is under Kettle in a corporation), which I also gave high recommendation & remarks to, but its a no brainer. Nothing can every beat the original one, and in this case it's Kettle winning my heart.
You should try the buttermilk fried chicken, potato strips & the truffle pasta. My boyfriend and I have also tried two kinds of their salads, the truffle pasta which is also good and the serving is big, and the angus beef steak (I'm not sure of the name) which my Mom tried when I dragged her there.
I was so happy that Kettle opened in my go-to mall, Shangri-La. I love their food, especially their Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The ambiance is perfect, giving out the cafe vibe. I haven’t tried their desserts, but it’s on my list, and I’ll definitely come back to try. This restaurant is perfect for those who love to eat comfort food.

Had dinner here the other night after seeing a lot of good reviews. I ordered the French Onion Soup and Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Onion soup was very good, lots of cheese, very flavorful without being overly "oniony". The fried chicken serving was huge, enough for 2 people, and mine came with cornbread. The chicken had a nice crispy coating and was very moist and juicy but not oily. Flavorwise you can taste herbs and spices but flavor was not strong enough for my tastes. I prefer a little little stronger flavor to my chicken. I ordere a side of garlic rice, decent flavor but the portion was a bit small. Sevice was good but not great. I'd like to go back to try other menu items.
I enjoyed this place very much. The place felt so inviting and immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Everything looked tidy and presentable plus the pastry ref looked tempting.
I ordered their best sellers to try which is the truffle gorgonzola pasta and the buttermilk fried chicken. The pasta was al dente texturized in a creamy aromatic sauce from the gorgonzola cheese. The buttermilk chicken was the perfect supplement to the pasta as it was crunchy and flavourful on the inside and soft and moist on the inside. The coating wasn't too thick or hard and the overall taste was satisfying.
I also ordered the seafood chowder. It came in a bread bowl and it gave it more of an authentic feel. I thought the soup was a little runny and I would've preferred it to be thicker. But still definitely a place I will continue to visit.
I was happy with our late lunch last week.Staff was very attentive and food was on point.Everything we ordered was delicious and cooked correctly.Flavors were accurate.I will definitely come back to this place in the future
Very limited food choices for people who don't eat meat. My all-time favourite is the potato crisp (minus the pulled pork), because even if you can't finish it, you can take 'em home and you'll be amazed how they stay crunchy and delicious!

Best Buttermilk Fried Chicken in town! Another food adventure at Shang Ri La Plaza for me and was able to try their Clam Chowder, Fried Chicken and their Smoked Salmon Salad! Rarely do you find restaurants that serve quality Clam Chowder such as what Kettle serves! Their buttermilk fried chickn's is huge that it can serve 2! Great Place to catch up with friends or have a date. =)
Still not a fan for health buff like me. The food is oily and fried. They serve soul food which is the reason why.
The servers are good and the restaurant is clean. Budget is P500/ head.

I like the classic Kettle salad. It has candied walnuts a little cheese just the right amount of balsamic dressing. I just wish they put more to it like berries or more walnuts. :) but, overall, I was happy with my dinner. :)
My family and I enjoyed our Sunday lunch in Kettle. Their portions are good for family sharing. We ordered the pork and fries, salmon salad, lamb adobo, rosemary chicken, short ribs and buttermilk chicken. It was a success maybe except for the rosemary chicken, too much herbs and too spring chicken. The meats were tender and flavorful. I would agree pricing is on the high side.
When I spotted this place for merienda I rushed in hoping it had similarities with Fireside which is also theirs. Apparently only their amazing Fried Chicken is common in both.
I had the Beef Brisket Sandwich. It had generous portion of meat that was tender. It was just a bit sour and messy to eat. The muffin which comes with the Chicken I tried and regretted. It was simply terrible. No taste, too buttery and hard.
They do have other interesting items in the menu I'll come back to. Like the Angus Roastbeef Hash and the Australian Lamb Adobo.
Neat restaurant at Shangri-La that serves American and European cuisine. Good service, clean and classy feel, bigger than expected servings, and simple and honest flavors. Menu's a tad pricey but definitely value for money.

This restaurant introduced me to Buttermilk Chicken, and I got hooked since then! The chicken pieces were huge, crispy, juicy, and flavorful. The cornbread was a bit just ok for me (or maybe was it because it makes my palate dry when eating it?) The Shrimp Po'Boy Sandwich was good and had ample servings of shrimp. The Mac and Cheese was rich in flavor, although I would've wanted it to have a bigger serving platter (the one they have is not enough even for a hungry guy like myself!) For me, the most memorable dish was not even a main course, it was an appetizer. The Pork with Potato Strips was just FILLING! My two friends and I took a few hours just to finish our single order of it!
Service was great, their service water has lemon on it, which I really liked hehe. Buttermilk Chicken is very tasteful, but not what I really expected in the reviews I've read (that it was the best chicken in town, etc). Cornbread was on point as well, very soft and yummy. Australian Lamb Adobo was too salty for me but the tender meat game is very strong. Loved the cucumber sauce in it! Pork and potato strips is very good too, we had a hard time finishing the whole serving so we had to take it out. Hehe

Kettle seems like to be one of the popular restaurants in the new wing of Shang Edsa Plaza Mall. When most of the restaurants I passed by looked quite empty on a weekday lunch, Kettle was busy and it proved its worth with dishes that we were able to sample.
The Pork & Potato Strips with pepper aioli was by far the most ordered dish in the resto. Its presentation is so appealing that it makes you wanna steal it from the other people who got their order first. My friend can't get enough of it. We had to put it at the other side of the table for her to stop munching at it (and NO, it didn't stop her from finishing it).
The Truffle Gorgonzola Pasta was very good. The serving was a bit small but the spaghetti was al dente and it had the right amount of sauce and creaminess into it.
The Buttermilk Fried Chicken was nice and juicy. I didn't quite like the country gravy (tastes like "ready mix") but with the cajun honey, it's awesome!!! It's nicely paired up with some old-style corn bread.
Next was the U.S. Angus Short Ribs with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The meat was tender,it had the right amount of fat. The braising liquid from the cerveza negra and chipotle barbecue sauce was excellent with the mashed potatoes.
Also try the Lamb Adobo with brown rice. The fattiness and gaminess of the lamb is balanced by the flavors of adobo.
They even have a nice selection of local and imported beers that are a little cheaper than the other restos around.@

Located at one of the most hidden corners of Shangri-la Plaza, this restaurant gives off that quiet and cozy ambiance. Though it can be too quiet at times.
We ordered the much-raved about Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Mac and Four-cheese, and Lemon iced tea. Chicken was boneless (a biiig plus point!), tender, juicy, and flavorful (with or without the gravy). 👍🏻 The mac and four cheese is so-so - I am a cheese lover but I found the flavors of the cheese too overwhelming, or maybe this was just one of those days wherein I am not in the mood to divulge myself into eating something cheesy.
Servers seemed bored and unhappy to oblige - but when a celebrity was about to leave they were polite and all smiles. Hay. Preferential treatment, I guess.
Overall, though, the place is good enough to dine and chill with family and friends. Food is good (but pricey) and good enough for sharing (the dishes we ordered can be shared by three people, actually, because we were not able to finish everything! 😝). And the servers could be a little more attentive to customers who are not "popular".
Don't get what the fuss is about the fried chicken. Loved the fried potatoes with pork, the mac and cheese and lamb adobo. These are the must tries..
The food was sooo good! I enjoyed eating here! The food was served on time and servers were friendly and nice. I will definitely eat here again.

We ate here for dinner. We ordered U.S. angus short ribs and their famous butter milk fried chicken. The place was ambient not too noisy great for friends to catch up with each other. The US angus short ribs was tender and it was quite good partnered with mash potatoes and a cup of cabbage salad.The butter milk fried chicken did not disappoint for me it was very good. The chicken was crispy and juicy. It was very tender and cooked just right partnered with butter corn muffins. I really recommend the butter milk fried chicken it really did not disappoint.
Buttermilk Chicken is awesome!!! Juicy, tender and flavorful chicken cooked Southern style. Definitely a must have when you're at Shangrila. Their chowder is good too (served on a bread bowl) 👍👍

Tried their steak and marrow and it was just foodgasm. The steak was rich and delectable and it went well with the saltiness of the marrow!
I could've ordered their famed buttered chix however judging from the other tables, the serving was way too much for 2 people!
Will do try it out thw next time :)
My ninang's favourite place to have lunch these days, and our Sundays are always lovely. You'll never go wrong with their Buttermilk Fried Chicken and sumptuous Australian Lamb Adobo.

Chorizo Gambas (P489) - Large enough for two persons to share. The chorizo had a stronger flavor compared to the shrimp, but I would say they complement each other well; a winning combo.
Australian Lamb Adobo (P499) - Not a huge fan of lamb because of the aftertaste, but the meat was really tender. Best to eat this while it’s still warm as the meat gets harder the longer you wait. Also, props to Kettle for successfully making brown rice delicious with the help of truffle oil ;)
Miso Glazed Salmon (P589) - Fresh salmon on top of soba noodles with a hint of roasted sesame, something I’ve never tried before. Get the most out of the dish by eating all three elements together (fish, salsa, and soba). The noodles didn’t actually taste like regular cold soba, but that just made me like it even more.
I think my main problem here is that the price is a bit too high for its serving size, but that doesn't seem to be an issue with other diners. We were at Kettle for an hour and a half and it was full the entire time, plus people were still lining up to eat even after 9pm. So yeah, check them out when you're in the area!
Being cheese lovers, we ordered Baked Brie for starters. The cheese went well with the puff pastry. It had a chewy consistency and a light creamy flavor unlike other sharp cheeses. The side salad was a good addition.
Buttermilk Fried Chicken, the star of the show. It may seem a bit expensive for fried chicken – but this is no usual fried chicken. Two chicken thighs marinated in buttermilk for more than 24 hours equals really tender tasty chicken. Unlike some fastfood fried chicken, this one is not overpowered by salty msg-like flavors. And the chicken skin is very crispy. Pour in the gravy, the honey, or both, and you’ll have an even tastier meal. Those corn muffins are more filling than they look. It tasted really good and it is siksik. Indeed one of the best corn bread/muffins in town.
My friend and I dined there last July, it was our first at Kettle. The resto's so cute, it gives you a cute European experience. I was craving for pasta so I ordered the Truffle Gorgonzola, Fresh Fruit Shake, and Banana Cream Pie. My friend ordered the Penne Vodka Chorizo and Fresh Fruit Shake.
I fell so inlove with my Truffle Gorgonzola, I almost forgot my name! (char.) My friend did enjoy his penne pasta too! The fruit shake is yummy, and the banana cream pie is the best! (My friend didn't enjoy the pie coz he says it's too sweet.) The food is really worth the price, so worth it. I am looking forward to dine at Kettle again and try their signature buttermilk chicken and clam chowder!

I had no idea where will be heading that day, my friend just told me he wants to try this new restaurant in Shang that serves delicious fried chicken, and being the chicken lover that I am, I said, why not?😂 I'm not familiar in Mandaluyong area(up to now) so the whole place was new to me! TEAM NORTH here!!
We ordered the Kettle House Salad, Kettle Grilled Four Cheese sandwhich and ofcourse their famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken. I didn't induldge much on their salad probably because I'm not a salad person and we instructed the server to split the serving into two and all the argula went on my plate while my friend had majority of bacon, cheese and walnuts!! But it was okay. The dressing which they called berry balsamic saved it. The grilled sandwhich was just fine, I didn't liked the loaf it tasted like ordinary, the ones you can buy in the grocery and the cheese was too strong for my palate. But what I really liked, no, not like but LOVE is their buttermilk chicken! The serving was huge! I don't even know how I ate everything but it was really really really good! Perfect crisp, tenderness and balanced seasoning! The cornbread were also a surprise that it matches the taste of the chicken! It also comes with a very flavorful country gravy and cajun honey- Perfect!! Ahhhhhh so so good!!!
The servers were all nice and accommodating answering all our questions from their menu!

It looks expensive, it is , posh, the place sorrounded by mirrors and that makes me look the kitchen, its organized. The couch and others speak of sophistication . Buttermilk fried chicken my aunt is being boasftul about this and that of pineapple upside down cake (whats with the name i asked myself?) we dine. Thanks to her. I just settled with clam chowder and smoke salmon salad, since i have no appetite that day, the vegies were fresh , i like the texture of salmon. . clam chowder is another story i super enjoyed it. I also got the to taste the chicken, but i did not enjoy it. Maybe beacause i was still into their clam chowder. Thumbs up.
FOOD Delicious US Angus Short Rib and Kettle House Salad. The Rosemary Garlic Chicken is a little bit dry. But I have to say the Pork and Potato Strips, I love. Bravo!
