My favorite dessert from Taiwan is finally here in Manila. I remember eating these chewy taro balls back in Jiufen and I'm glad that i can easily get my fix in Podium. The ingredients are fresh, servings are big and taste is good!
Hot almond soup with extra black sesame balls and chewy taro! đ€€
Despite the long line, the turnover of tables is fast. we got the hot taro ball dessert base, the mochi with pudding and milk teas. It is best if you got the dessert base as cold ones. The mochi is very chewy and the almond pudding is good too.
My heart always skip a beat whenever I hear the manly "tahoooooo" echo in the morning. I'd hurriedly look for small bills, get out of my PJs and run as fast as I could to the gate and eagerly wait for my favorite morning treat. But more often than not, I miss the manong magtataho or he skips our street. Thankfully, a new store opened that sells something better than taho.

Different kinds of sweetened beans, taro, herbal jelly, and tofu pudding are some of the essential characters in Meet Fresh line up of healthier treats. Another way to enjoy desserts without much guilt.
Meet Fresh was founded by an agricultural farming family in the City of Taichung, Taiwan. They stood by the value of having âold fashionedâ desserts to preserve natural sweetness and traditional taste.
The name of this franchise means everything too. Meet Fresh prepares everything handmade, with no preservatives using only the freshest ingredients.
If youâre a first-timer, here are some of my suggested orders- 8 Treasures Shaved Ice, Hot Taro Ball No. 5, Signature Grass Jelly and the different kinds of Mochis. Meet Fresh also has a line up of Milk Teas, a signature beverage in Taiwan.
