It's been ~3 years since my last bite of these heavenly cheese tarts; and I'm kinda late already to try it here 'cos I didn't want to join the hype and the long lines 😅
I love how well-balanced its taste is. 💛
The mousse itself is creamy, not too sweet, and with the right amout of saltiness (aka hindi nakaka-umay). So nice with a cup of coffee.
It may be weird but I personally like crusts of cheese cakes and pies; and this crust gives you a not-so-buttery and right level of crispiness.
Finishing this piece of cheese tart wishes you to have a good day (see last photo), and this didn't disappoint! ☺
P.S. I think it would be better also if I've actually tasted a real Hokkiado cheese first to have a more "valid" comparison (haha yayy next on the list!)
Bake soft serve was very cheesy and had the perfect texture. It's worth a try and will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.
Its been a long while wanting to try this. Cheese tart the last time we drop by they are sold out already. Well this time we are so lucky. We had 15% discount for the 6pcs cheese tart for citibank and we use booky for another transaction 6pcs blueberry cheese for 295pesos half price and buy 1take 1 for the ice cream so its a great great saving. While we are in the food court of podium we cant wait to got home, so we ate it there and WOW it so great tasted so good. We finish a box there. Its so addicting. When we finish a box and abox left so we went to bake again to buy but it all out already. When we got home we ate the other box again😁w/o discount a tart cost around 95pesos and the ice cream cost 140pesos each, pricey but you get. What you paying for. It so Worth it!!!
My group just came from a foodie meet up when we decided to kill time around The Podium. Since no dessert was served, we thought of having one.
I saw a poster enticing Podium passers-by with a new product: Blueberry Cheese Tart. Immediately, bought a piece and took it home.
I was in the car when I took a bite. Then, another. Until I finished the whole thing. How was it? Tart with the added blueberry zest. I like the original plain cheese anytime.
Price range is high for a tart (P95.00/piece) but I was really mindblown when I tasted it. It was delicious, as in. No question at all. Soft but crunchy crust with a very cheesy part in the middle. It was worth the money. You'll save if you buy a box of it (though less savings only, but still . . . .not bad...). Recommended.
The baked cheese tarts here are very good. Just the right level of sweetness complementing the tartness of the cheese. The Original tarts were good. Blueberry Cheese Tarts is a seasonal flavor available now. Also quite good
Update: July 17, 2019. Wednesday. NEW! Limited edition Blueberry Cheese Tarts are now available at BAKE. Same sweet, thin crisp crust corners and soft base filled with a thin layer of blueberry at the bottom with a generous helping of cheese filling. Another winning flavor from BAKE! Recommended.

The store front is magnificent! BAKE Cheese Tart is located at the new Podium entrance along Julia Vargas Ave. Walk from Megamall is surprisingly not as difficult when the entrance was still at ADB Ave. There was a couple of people ahead of me but it moved along quickly. The staff are very friendly, they guided me on how to enjoy my cheese tarts. Packaging was top notch, the two tier layered box ensures that your tarts are safe whether your walking or haggling your way among busy commuters. I asked my Mom to try it first and asked for her opinion, she loved it especially the crust. I have to agree, it had a sweet crunch but the crust directly underneath the cheese filling was soft complimented the cheese very nicely. The cheese was full flavored, tart, salty and sweet at the same time. It is such a winner. Will buy another box when I'm in the area. Highly recommended. You're 540pesos is worth the splurge.
Bake Cheese Tart is one of those Cheese Tarts that is worth the cheat day for. Whenever I am in Podium or Power Plant, I make sure to grab a tart or two to satisfy my cravings.
Their Original Tart is really filled with oozing creamy and cheesy filling. Also, the crust is really crunchy and not crumby. And this time, they introduced a new flavor: Blueberry Tart and the Blueberry was not sweet but at the same time does not possess a very strong flavor but good enough to balance the filling.
This is my new comfort food. Super sarap! I do not regret the PhP95 per piece. 😂 Mahal pero nawala pagod ko sa isang kagat. Fan ako ng cream puff kaya gusto ko yung may ganung texture. 😋
The Cheese tarts here are amazing. Almost a perfect desert after a typical Podium meal. The different flavours (chocolate) make the experience even better. There is no seating, so the only option is the take-away; which you could get at a discount if you choose to buy a number of them.
Cons- Slighlty expensive for the price it sells, especially if you are just looking to buy a couple of pieces. The only packaging that is available if you buy a couple of pieces is a box, which makes you very careful of the tarts which you are carrying. The staff could be a bit more pleasant to interact with!
However, all of these smaller issues are made up for the amazing product they sell!
I had a craving for cheese tarts and saw Bake Cheese tarts at the Podium. I tried their chocolate cheese tarts and it's soo yummy! Best eaten when chilled. This is my new fave comfort food now.
For cheese tarts lovers, Bake Cheese tarts has a promo till the end of this month on their Choco Cheese tarts- ₱899/dozen. Great value for your buck!
Just beautiful pastry crust that has the right texture and not too crumbly. And luxurious cheese filling that is not overly sweet, and the cheese taste is enough. One of the best cheese tarts in the metro. Nuff said.
They serve freshly baked, mouth-watering cheese tarts! I’ve tried Pablo and other versions from various bakeshops but this is absolutely the best!
One of the best cheese tarts from Japan. Soft, creamy but not dry. Eat while it's hot! Always try their special limited flavors. They do not disappoint.
I love it! It's really tasty, rich, soft, and creamy! Also perfectly baked and served warm. It's just too pricey in my opinion (95/piece) so I try to resist buying this often. Given how good the tart is, resisting is quite a challenge :)
At P95 per tart, you would expect nothing short of the best; and BAKE Cheese Tart delivers. Each tart has a melt-in-your mouth texture, with a creamy bite and the right amount of sweet-salty taste. Once you try this, all others pale in comparison. As with anything Japanese, it's simple, clean, delightful. Would come back for more.
the best cheese tart i’ve tasted.
perfect blend in taste and texture :)
i will never get tired eating this.
quite pricey but i tell you its delicious
It's true that Japan holds the magic to lure tourists, especially during spring, making it a dream destination for many. While Japan goes into a craze each spring, gathering millions of people catching a glimpse of the elusive cherry blossom -traditionally known as Sakura, it's also when the tourist would flock famous pastry shops and savor the fine food Japan could offer. How blessed are we in Manila, having to savor a taste of Japan with acclaimed brands coming in from all ends of the said country, there's the rich pork broth of ramen, fresh sushi, melt-in-your-mouth wagyu and delightful cheese tarts, foremost of which is Hokkaido’s cult favorite, BAKE Cheese Tart. So, even though we couldn't fly to Japan, we can just feel right at home but are able to fix our Japanese food cravings.
This is a mind-blowing cheese tart! The soft cheese just oozes out. The price per piece is expensive and you can buy a complete meal that can fill your tummy for lunch but it's so worth it for the taste. I could eat maybe 3 pieces in one sitting! It takes about four bites to finish a tart and you're ready for the next one. It's perfect as a snack or dessert, a must-try for everyone except for those who can't take dairy.
The cheese has a unique combination of salty and sweet taste. The texture is cloud-like, whipped, and just so good. Its crust makes it better, a match made in heaven. We tasted it hot, cold, and at room temperature and it's still wonderful in all ways.
I hope they expand to more malls nearer to our place so we can have them more frequently. :)
It took me awhile before I finally decide to buy this. It’s 540 pesos for 6 pcs . It was expensive! Im not familiar with the brand. But it was good! Best consumed within the day of purchase. Not sure if I will buy again . May be yes😊
It was newly baked when we purchased our cheese tart, thus we were advised to let it cool for 20 minutes before consuming it. I ate one piece when I got home, which was around 30 minutes after purchasing it. It was still warm but delicious. I ate another one after leaving it in the refrigerator overnight. Personally, I prefered the cooler one.
So good!! The cheese tastes so real and the texture is great. I love how it's not too wet or gooey, and the crunchy crust makes it perfect. Worth buying a box of 6. I also enjoy eating it from the fridge! 🤤
Seeing the price of just 1 cheese tart seems a little overwhelming and might make you think if it's really worth the try or not. I've been at The Podium a lot of times already but the thrifty me did not give this tart any chances. Luckily,my brother (who's also puzzled about BAKE cheese tart) was the one who paid for it when we went there last weekend. We went back at The Corner Market, sat there and had our first bite. It was heavenly goodness!! It's too good that we went back to the mall that night and bought 6 pieces! The fun part is, you can enjoy it in four ways:
**best consumed when freshly baked
**chilled
**frozen
**reheated
So if you have extra extra money, it's worthy to give it a shot!
I first saw this establishment in Shinjuku Station last year when my friend bought some to bring back home. I did not buy any back then because I no longer have any money left.
So, when I saw their store in Podium I bought some to try myself. And I instantly regretted why I did not buy some when I was in Japan.
At almost 100 pesos per piece, it is expensive. But for infrequent indulgences, you won't regret having a few for yourself. Everything from the cheese filling to the tart is just delicious.
TASTE 5⭐️ The texture is perfect. The taste is something that you will continue on craving for. The cheese is not too salty nor "nakakaumay". My husband was not able to eat it on the day that I purchased it so i placed it in the freezer, but afterwards 2 days it still tastes good!
PRICE 3⭐️ The only downside it's expensive. The price is 90php for a single tart.
The place is just for takeout.
I’ve been passing this stall for weeks and I finally stopped by tonight and had a piece. It was one divine bite after another, so am likely to buy again soon!
It’s like little suns that’s designed to brighten up your day. Each tart is wrapped in a golden crunchy crust, inside it is a gooey, lightly sweetened, tangy cheese mix with a hint of salt.
The staff says they sell around 500 per day. More on weekends. If only they were in a more popular mall, they’ll easily sell thousands. You can buy one for Php 95 and 6 for just Php 450!
The best cheese tart for me existing in Manila right now. They also offer the cheapest BAKE cheese tart in Asia. I always make sure to buy some when dropping by the vicinity. They are also encouraging people to try it frozen for a different take on cheese tarts.
For someone addicted to cheese tarts, I wouldn’t miss trying these from BAKE. Everything - from the crust, consistency and taste - are just right. Even if the tart was at room temperature, it tastes great. For the price of 95php each, it’s quite higher than its other counterparts but you’re paying for its overall quality. A sure must try.
initially i asked if it was still hot. but was informed that they dont serve it hot. i was a bit disappointed coz i wanted it to be gooey. but once i bit into it, i forgot abt my disappointment. the filling was sooo soft and creamy.. it was almost frothy. it was flavorful as well. it was like creamcheese or milky. it was so goood.
OMG! My tastebuds exploded when I first tasted this. I am not a big fan of cheese tarts but this one is definitely an exception. You guys have to try this! You will never go back to Lava, Pablo, or Kumori ever.
As we all know, cherry blossoms bloom around this time in Japan, so over the course of the Holy Week, my Facebook feed was pretty full with pictures of people enjoying its perfect spring weather. But of course, aside from the beautiful (but short-lived) sakura, people also go to Japan for its delectable cuisine.
I don't eat cheese tart as much as a professional cheese tart reviewer could but based on my first time experience, I would say it's great. You can smell the cheese tart a few meters away (the rock's face when he knows what's cooking) I was giving a thought on it about giving a 4 because I think the cheese tart tasted too milky/creamy for me but I think this is what luxury taste like. I want to keep this place at the 4.9 star rating because it deserves it. The store looks really fancy. And if you like it with coffee, just right in front of it, there is a Starbucks Reserve for you.
The cheese tart was really good! The shell was sturdy so there weren't that much crumbs all over the place. High expectations for this since it's priced at 95 a piece, the most expensive (I believe) here in Metro Manila. It was worth it though!
I have always had my eye on this ever since I first saw it on Instagram. I remember sending photos to my friend in Singapore, and asking her to try it with me. I wasn’t aware yet of its hype. All I knew is that it looked good, and must have tasted good. When news circulated that it would open here, I was gearing up and waiting for the perfect time to try it out. And on one Saturday evening, fate allowed me to finally try this. 🙂
Golden crust with a gooey creamy cheese filling. Semi-sweet with a hint of salt in every bite - just delightful and deliciously smooth. Perfect with tea or coffee. ❤
Dear Bake Cheese Tart, I was just so happy and contented with Lord’s Stowe’s egg tarts, why do you have to arrive at the scene to cause dissatisfaction and craving? It would have been a relief if you’re attainable but you’re up there, almost unreachable, I’m not only talking about the distance between us, but you demand a high price for just a piece of you. Thanks to my friend, who brought you to me, who knew I will have much appreciation of you, I already have a glimpse of what you can offer. But alas! From here on, I will only be your admirer from afar, as I had my last bite of your crust, you also bid me to have a good day 😄
SOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!
It is pricey at Php95, if you focus on volume. The taste and texture of both the cheese and the pastry (and the cheese and pastry together), make up for the difference.
So far the best cheese tart we’ve had in Manila.

Best straight out of the oven, when the cheese is oozing and warm.
I’ve tried it freshly baked, from the freezer, from the fridge, warmed in the oven. I don’t really like it at room temp, regardless of who makes them. Cold is ok.

Finally had the chance to visit Podium last Friday to try Bake cheese tarts.
For 95php, I think it’s a steal. I was expecting it to be over 100php. There was no line when I visited. I like its crust, it was not too messy to eat.
I actually bought a box of 6 (540php) as pasalubong to my sister and Mommy but I actually ended up eating most the next day. I ate it cold as what the staff suggested but I think I prefer eating it fresh off the oven.
IT’S HEREEE! These yummy cheese tarts from Japan are now here in Manila.
When a friend of mine sent me a message that it’s the soft opening of Bake Cheese Tart in Podium, I skipped my lunch and went there. Like their Japan branches, their first ever Manila branch only has a take-out counter. It might be better to have a few cocktail tables or small chairs in their next few branches, knowing how Filipinos are fond of eating out and having get-togethers outside.
I loved how Bake was able to preserve the taste of the cheese tarts, making it similar to those that they offer in Japan. Price-wise, I think it is a few pesos lower. This is not bad given that you’re experiencing the same cheese tarts sold in Japan.
The best cheesetart hands down. I love how they quietly opened without the media fuss. Maybe learning from the previous franchise that opened. That having so much media bring so much high expectation to people that don't know what really to expect. So I love what they did just low key and let the cheesetart do the talking. From the way it looked to its crunch and taste everything for me was perfect. Love it!
Not your ordinary cheesecake or tart (in this case). Bought the box since it'll come out cheaper than the 95/piece price. It was good, tried eating it right away, chilled and microwaved the following day ( the 3 ways on how to enjoy it, as per instruction). However, I find the price too steep, for a very small tart. Maybe 70 PHP will be justifiable.
Better than the other overpriced cheese-tarts in the Metro. Smells pretty good and tastes heavenly.
Better go here during weekdays to skip the line.
Ok their cheese tart now surpassed Kumori and Lava’s version. I love how crunchy the base was and how it was able to hold the filling too. It isn’t as messy to eat unlike Kumori and Lava’s cheese tart. I was advised by the staff to try it frozen cause it’s like ice cream. So I will surely go back and order a box instead of 3 pieces only (gave 2 to my parents hihi)
I don’t mind paying Php 95 cause it was really good and just thinking about it, I’m craving for one now 😭 Open one in QC please I will be your shareholder 😂
The packing was nice too. My friend bought a box and it was layered so that it won’t shift when you transport those tarts. Highly recommend this! Visit it when you have a chance.

BAKE Cheese Tart is another famous cheese tart shop in Japan, and it's also now finally in the Philippines. Thank goodness they have a branch close to us because I think I'll be here a lot. I just had my first one yesterday and I'm already considering coming back. It's definitely cheaper and you can taste the cheese even better in this one.
I enjoyed this so much that I was hesitating to share. I ate one after a few hours and put it in the oven for a minute and it's still so delicious. The creaminess of the cheese in its lava texture and form makes it so irresistible. Why do they only make these in small sizes? I feel like I could devour an 8-inch size of this by myself. I'll be back soon, BAKE so stay there.

They now have Lemon Cheese Tarts (Php 99/pc.). And Wow! What else can one say? To anyone wondering why we've never been a fan of Pablo's and Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, BAKE Cheese Tart is the reason for that. They have the most buttery tart perfectly combined with such a creamy and milky tart filling. Each bite would tell you that only the best ingredients were used here.

Finally found the best Cheese Tarts in Manila! The crust was baked to perfection. It was firm-crunchy yet so buttery. The cheese was the right proportion of rich and foamy. Yum! Will definitely have cheese tart runs to Podium from now on.
This cheese tart thing/craze is on the roll but BAKE is a force to be reckoned with! Coming from Japan, their creamy and rich cheese tarts are made out of 4 different cheeses.
For P95 a piece, its worth it! A must try! Also, their box of 6 is for P540.
For me, BAKE is one of the best.
We found ourselves at The Podium today and it was the perfect opportunity to try BAKE Cheese Tarts. It is really one of the most awaited franchises to grace our shores. We have been waiting in rapture since last year!😍
Anyway, we just fell in line in front of the lovely store. Very modern aesthetic. We were entertained by watching the staff make these gorgeous desserts. The tarts have this beautiful hue-- tells you that they are perfectly Baked!😍 I love the height of the cheese concoction in the middle- they really do have a presence.
We tried one each first, just for a little snack before we walked around the mall. It was just fantastic! Super fluffy, buttery, creamy cheese in the middle encased by the crumbly tart. Perfectly balanced! Wonderful execution!👍🏻
My husband enjoyed it so much that we went back for seconds after dinner and finally bought a box of six... Let me say that the box was very nice, it opens up to reveal the six tarts in two rows. I honestly loved it and let me tell you I really speak my mind. Must try, for sure. P95/piece and P540/box of 6.
Updated ranking:
1) BAKE
2) Pablo mini
3) Kumori
4) Lava
And a very distant last:
5) Paper Moon-- I think theirs is a cheesecake tart not a cheese tart. Technically.

Bake is one of the franchises I've been eagerly eyeing on since the beginning of 2017. It was first rumored to open at S Maison around Mall of Asia Complex. Every time I was there, I kept looking for signs on when or where it will open, but no clue emerged, until in the late December when it finally opened in Podium.
Finally, the famous Cheese Tart originated in Hokkaido, Japan called Bake Cheese Tart is now in the Philippines. Located at the Ground Level of the New Wing of The Podium Mall.
I was thrilled when I saw the store and fall in line for 5 minutes. I got my first piece for Php95.00 and bite the Bake Cheese Tart for the first time, all I can say “di ko pinagsisihan ang Php95.00 na binayad ko kasi sobrang sarap!”
Then, I had another round (box of 6 for Php540.00). I was addicted with the balance flavor and softness of the tart. Creamy and tasty.
🧀 Cheese Tart - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
For me, one of the best cheese tart in the Philippines so far... ang sarap sarap! 😋
#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
It’s as good as I remember! Had my first taste of this heavenly dessert in Taipei. It may be long overdue but hey you guys are finally here! Thank you! Prices are relatively cheaper than Pablo but more expensive than Kumori and Lava. Still, it’s worth every penny 🤤 Some would even say that all these cheese tart shops taste the same. I’ve tried them all and Bake is still at the top of my list ☝🏻
Bake is finally in Manila! After over a year of waiting, the world's best cheese tart is now open in Podium. . Hello, Bake Cheese Tart. I haven't heard of Bake till I visited Japan last year. The long queue in front of its store near the subway caught my attention and made me curious. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to convince R to line up with me that time. But the enticing aroma of freshly baked tarts left a strong impression that I made sure to grab some when I visited Seoul, Korea and Taichung, Taiwan.
How can I review Bake Cheesetart? Since I've first tasted it overseas it became an instant favorite.
The long wait is over, after an influx of cheese tart brands invaded our shores, the creme dela creme arrived. It's located at the new Podium mall.
The product is still the same, the cheese is not overwhelmingly sweet and there are notes of tanginess .The consistency is not too runny nor firm the reason why I like this brand .Crust texture still very pleasant to the bite.
Still my favorite brand.Probably Asia's most favorite and best.Much cheaper here in our shores.
I had zero idea that there is a new cheese tart shop in town and I was just lucky enough to spot this after raiding (yeah PoGo, like you still play that???). Going back, the shop itself is very inviting. Bright yellow colored sign and pristine, it's hard to miss since it's near to the new Podium entrance along Dona Julia Vargas avenue.
Now, there are a lot of cheese tarts in the metro and they are usually pretty much taste the same. However, BAKE tarts for me are the best so far. The cheese has a very nice blend of sweetness and mild sourness. Consistency is just the right amount, not too sticky nor soggy. The best part however is the crust. It perfectly baked similar to biting into cookie although it's best to eat it right away until a few hours later. The crispiness disappears once you store it in the fridge.
Ordered a box of 6 which roughly costs around 600 pesos. A piece costs around 90-ish pesos. I will definitely come back!
