Nanay's Pancit Malabon

Even though they have their Valenzuela branch still, I opted to order with their original branch located at Concepcion Malabon. I ordered six (6) "bilaos" to be brought to our office. The sad news is, they have no delivery, so I booked a Grab car to drive my staff back and forth. The Grab driver was hesitant and kept on calling asking if the area was flooded, but he already accepted the ride so, cancel at his own risk. :) It took them more than an hour to return because of the heavy traffic and luckily, the Pancit Malabon was still good and edible. 

The whole top portion of the Pancit Malabon was literrally covered with slices of boiled egg. The taste was really authentic and flavorful. The "bilaos" were "siksik". And Ms. Daisy was kind enough to accommodate my orders in such a short notice.

I suggest that they affiliate themselves with delivery services like Food Panda or Honest Bee so as to widen their market and for the convenience of their customers.

If the traffic permits, I will try and visit and dine at Nanay's Pancit Malabon.

We tried lots of pancit malabon versions, but Nanay's Pancit Malabon is and will always be our favorite! My mom is a great cook and this is her comfort food!

For as low as Php 55, you can eat a full plate of their delicacy up to your full tummy satisfaction.

Their crew is hospitable and respectful. The security guard is kind and helpful.

The ambiance may not be cozy, but the tables and utensils for dine in customers is well-cleaned.

I highly recommend Nanay's Pancit Malabon for those who wants to try the authentic pancit malabon.

P.S. I'm rating this review because I think they don't deserve their current rating (3.6 star).

Even for a Quezon City denizen like me, a trip to Nanay's Pancit Malabon is an excursion, but I loved it and wish I could come here more often, if time and traffic allowed it.

This is not Nanay's original location, I was told by her grand-daughter, who now runs the place. Nonetheless, the restaurant, which uses a converted living room setting, with old fashioned plateras, bookshelves and books, awards and citations for "Nanay," as well as photos of the owners with famous visitors, is lutong bahay through and through.

It's hard to beat the taste of their home-style cooking. Their selection is displayed, cafeteria style, except for the pancit, which is cooked and assembled to order in the kitchen.

Daily choices include typical items like adobo, sinigang, binagoongang baboy, and a selection of puto and sticky rice desserts. Just like at a carinderia, you are allowed to peek inside the pots and ask what's in them.

There are only a few tables, so most visitors come for takeout from their daily selection. You have to come early or on slightly off hours to get seats, which we did.

We sat down and had their classic pancit malabon - clean tasting, with shrimp, bits of pork, shredded Chinese cabbage. We tried not to eat too much but I couldn't resist ordering their ginataang kalabasa - squash (and string beans) cooked in coconut. This was so good, just so good.

For dessert, we sampled classic biko, and their ginataang bilo bilo, which had ube sticky rice dumplings alongside bits of jackfruit and sweet potato.

This is classic Tagalog cuisine made simply and well.

I really love Pancit Malabon, especially when it's from Nanay's 💞💞 the taste is so good that you will not need any calamansi cause the taste is already perfect. The place haven't change much but that's ok. Our foreigner friends loves this so much as well. I have been recommending this to my friends and so far they loved it. Definitely a must try whenever you're in Malabon.

Pride of Malabon?

My mom, kid and I ate here because they say that this is where the Pansit Malabon originated and they claim it to be good . Celebrities such as Jessica Soho, Kris Aquino, Jay Taruc and a lot more came to visit Nanay's Pansiteria... So was it really good?

To be honest, Pansit Malabon itself is really a party in the mouth but when I tasted this one, I was pretty disappointed. The taste is ordinary.  No shrimp or squid. No chicharon either! I was like, why?!

The serving is crazy, we had to bring some at home because we can't finish it all.

We paired it with Hazel's Puto Pao so it was a decent meal after all.

The venue looks really old and a bit dusty. I hope they can do something about it.
