It has been a long while since I've visited Century City Mall. The horrific traffic in Makati never fails to keep me from this establishment. Luckily, I managed to drop by one Saturday with K before a foodie gathering. And of course, a trip to Century City Mall wouldn't be complete without visiting Hole in the Wall. This time, I made sure to try some of the relatively newer concepts and I started with... Liberation Shawarma.
Enjoyed the Falafel with Rice plus Fried Chick Peas we ordered here at Liberation. The sauce is great too! The presentation is so appealing as well. I love how it’s plated.
Its one big falafel and its already good enough for me for a quick bite also the garlic mayo sauce they have its really good and its unli too! Haha
Everytime I am in Hole in the Wall, I always get the beef shawarma pita from Liberation Shawarma. I love the pita pocket that it comes in because it ensures less mess when eating it. There is also super many beef! So much value for your money. I also love that the garlic sauce is unlimited. I refilled 6 times! It's so good, I eat it like it's soup! :)

Gave this a chance since I'm running out of options. Menu selection is quite limited hence I opted for the falafel on pita bread. (I'm forever in diet, rice is a no go haha)
I like the falafel itself, I think the flavour is on point and I love the fact that they're not skimping on greens. The pita bread is on the thick side (hello carbs) though with the yogurt sauce everything worked well.
To be honest I was quite surprised when I saw the fried chickpeas, I was like why did I order that? I have this picture on my mind that it is somewhat close to being a falafel. Looks can be deceiving as I fell in love with it on my first try. Though since I'm cutting down on salt, I find this on the salty side. (this is just me I guess)
Will definitely go back to try some of their stuff. Ohh they have 6% service tax but you can ask them to remove it from the bill.
This was part of a little food trip at our favorite haunt..Hole In The Wall @ Century City Mall..
My friend decided to order from Liberation Shawarma
He had the Falafel Shawarma (fried balls of ground chickpeas) with some dips on the side..I thought the Falafel was tasty (though ive had better elsewhere😉) and the pita was on the thick side..but worked for me over all.
Interestingly, he had a side of Fried Chickpeas..which I absolutely loved too..it could pass off as an alternative to nuts or chips. Crunchy little balls tasty salted and peppered. (Smoothered some on my nachos and worked well too) yum!
Price point, Its worth it in my opinion😉
I really enjoyed the food here. Beef Shawarma Rice- a generous heap of sliced beef, with a side of salad & fried chickpeas and a bowl of Basmati rice. Truly authentic.Falafel on the side- this was served on a bed of hummus. Divine! Even the hubby loved it. This will be the next entry in my book of good eats😊
I admit, I love shawarma. And what better way to eat shawarma than with rice! Liberation Shawarma gives you a choice to eat your shawarma in the traditional pita bread or paired with their yummy rice. You can also add a plate of falafel or fried chickpeas to up the Mediterranean taste even more.
Did I like it?
Yes. The taste was just right, serving was huge, chickpeas were amazing, and the salsa it comes with was the bomb! It's just a little oily and it tends to solidify over time so you better eat it fast. Overall, I can say that this is one of the best Shawarma rice I've had. :)
Is it affordable?
Not really, one plate is 380 pesos and every establishment in Hole in the Wall has a 6% service charge so it's 403 pesos per order and that does not include drinks.
Will I come back?
Yes. Those salsa and chickpeas left me wanting more. I believe it's worth every penny.
I'm so happy that they have improved a lot since i tried it when it initially opened in 2014. They serve a more generous amount of shawarma sauce and filling (beef and veggies). The pita bread is also made bigger which used to be too small for its price. Great job management! 🙂
