We drove by this place so many times and finally decided to give it a try. We have only ordered from the Indian menu, and so far everything we have tried has been great. Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka, and Somosas were all top notch. Food alone I would give this place 5 stars. The reason for deducting 1 star is the building, its old and in need of repair. The aircon was dripping on our booth on our first visit. The upholstry is in bad need of replacement. Also you have to enter through the smoking section which isn't ideal for non smokers.
I love this place if I want to go out with a large group of people. The food here is more affordable when shared. The taste of their food though being a British/Indian Cuisine has a Filipino taste (meaning malasa 😊). My fave is their dessert selection 😍
This is a great place for expats missing home. The menu is great & really diverse. Aside from sausage rolls, scotch eggs the best thing by far is the chicken tikka masala
Union Jacks is the only place I go to when I want good and authentic English food! They also have a very extensive Indian menu that is very good. I recommend their fish and chips and English breakfast.
Ended up trying this place out of curiosity and was surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It’s really spacious and the serving sizes are more than enough for sharing. English and Indian food with a wide selection of alcohol is a win for me.
Having been to both Union Jack locations, (including the old Alabang branch and the new one), I can say that the Makati branch is more chilled and laid back. It’s a lot easier to hold a conversation with companions. It’s great to have somewhere where I can get a taste from back home whenever I get a craving. This time we ordered the Mince Beef Pie with chips and baked beans for the sides (395 pesos). Will be back to try more items on the menu.
This place is just brilliant. ! The staff are all helpful and profesional. The menu is varied and they do a great sunday lunch with all the trimmings. This place is a must for anyone who enjoys good food and drinks in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere.
The Union Jack Travern has two outlets . One located in legaspi village Makati is and awesome place to visit. It has a unique concept of British - Indian bar and restaurant. It is a place which is value for money and they also have great British products. It has great Indian dishes available there which one should try. It is a very comforting place.
Things one can try are samosas and the non veg cuisine.

I've joined a group of foodies as part of the Hoegaarden and Stella Artois bar and foodcrawl. Although I do not drink much alcohol, the bar crawl offers more than just the alcoholic drinks but also a wide variety of food choices from each menu. The main attraction or the common interest of this event is the Stella Artois and the Hoegaarden which are both perfect pair for any kind of bar munchies. Stella Artois is a Belgian pilsner and is one of the best-selling beers because of the high quality and characteristic flavors created from the brewing process. Hoegaarden however has distinctive taste from Belgian wheat and usually spiced that features the aroma of orange peel, coriander and herbs.
Union Jack Tavern is the fourth stop located at Legaspi Village Makati. They are British and Indian inspired and they have a long list of choices from the menu but we only tried the Bar chow for this event which is of course a perfect pair for the beers.
What we had were the following:
Mini Pork Pie - 3 pieces served with piccalilli or Branston pickle and English mustard
Mini Chicken & Mushroom- tender moist chicken pieces with mushroom cooked in a white sauce in flaky pastry
Tikka Masala Pasty- flaky pastry stuffed with chicken tikka masala
Vegetable Samosa - seasoned potato, peas and fresh coriander leaves with mild spice and herb wrapped in golden pastry
Sausage Platter / Cold Cuts and Potato Crisp.
The pies definitely have a nice flaky texture. Some of the stuffing inside were slightly bland but they were accompanied with gravy and sauces so they blended perfectly anyways. I love the potato crisps and the sausage platter they offered and also the vegetable samosa which is liked by most.
Somehow we get to try the taste of both worlds - Indian and British all in one. Noticeably, the place is rustic and cozy and very British looking pub. Moreover, I am looking forward to trying some of the authentic Indian dishes that looks very lively and drooling from the pictures I saw from the menu. Kudos!

Union Jack Tavern is a British-Indian inspired bar and restaurant located in Legaspi Village, Makati. They served the best British and Indian dishes. Same with other classic bar in Makati, it was cozy, spacious and the ambiance was great. Upon entering, you will notice the Union Jack or Union Flags hanged all over the restaurant.
Good thing with UJT is they have Samosa for only P125, which is one of my favorite Indian Food. I love their Vegetable Samosa (a seasoned potato, peas and fresh coriander leaves with mild spices and herb wrapped in golden pastry) paired with Hoegaarden Beer. For the Bar Chow, a must try is their Mini Pork Pie, Mini Chicken & Mushroom Pie and Mini Quiche for only P185 to P195. They have a broad selection of beers and a hundred sumptuous British and Indian menus. (I hope some of the costumers won’t get confused because of too many dishes listed on the menu.)
Besides of the good food and drinks, you can also purchase their authentic British products like chocolates, sauces, beers and the likes.
