One of our favorite carinderias. Favorite meaning we never missed a week without dining here. Haha! Location is very accessible. Always jam-packed, but service is always great. Crews are approachable and attentive, no need to call them twice if you need anything. Foods are awesome too, compared to others. Lot of choices in the menu that sometimes I am having a hard time selecting what to eat. I like that they are expanding their menu and including vegetable dishes now. I just wish they have bigger dining space.
They also accept orders for delivery. We tried to order once here in our workplace. Speedy delivery and foods were still hot when delivered. Sad thing was you have to pay for every container for take out foods, and that's understandable.
Highly recommended dishes are Papaitan, Sizzling Sisig, Beef Pares, Crispy Tenga and Chopsuey.
Whenever I'm in a hurry, too lazy to cook or I simply want to eat something that isn't leftovers, I go here. I usually get beef pares and it is really worth it. However, I ate the same meal for 3 days straight so the wow factor isn't there anymore. Also, my friends usually get sisig and they say it's super "sulit" - i don't eat sisig so... Hahahah
Beef Pares is a favorite when on a tight budget. Their version is sweet with a generous serving and free soup. Do I get value for the 70 pesos I pay? Well, I wish it would be slightly lowered to around 60, but that's just wishful thinking, right?
I enjoy sitting on the stools outside but those coming by the packs can take the couches inside. The food joint is open-air so expect some heat and a small amount of exposure to pollution because it's at an intersection. But who cares about the pollution when you're hungry, right? If you take public transportation regularly, you should be immune to this by now.
