I learned this place from my bestfriend (kababata). He told me a couple of times that if I like a bar/resto that serves superb drinks/booze and food, go to Tortuga. Yesterday, I decided to try the place out with him coz I wanted to celebrate with him coz finally he has a girlfriend! Haha! And Tortuga never failed my expectation. Ambience is perfect for dates and "barkada" get togethers. Foods are excellent and very affordable. I will definitely come back for more of their food. For 1st timers who will visit Tortuga, try their "Kare Kare Bites" and Jamon Croquetas". Sobrang sarap!
Great place that with great drinks and food!
Tortuga gives off a tropical vibe that attracts a lot of young drinkers. They’ve also got amazing shots that are uniquely flavored with Pinoy elements.

Simple lang ang food, mura, pero well-plated. Tried the ff:
1. Glazed Tenders (Php 200) - chewy chicken fingers glazed in honey teriyaki hybrid sauce, masarap habang mainit pa.
2. Patatas Bravas (Php 200) - masarap na pulutan yung spicy version
3. Jamon Croquettas (Php 180) - creamed potato with jamon bits, love it!
4. Jungle Pumba(Php 350) - thick-cut pork belly para sa mga gusto kumain bago uminom
5. Deep Fried Ice Cream (Php 220) - nagulat ako, simple lanh lerl masarap!
6. They have specialty cocktails, super affords shooters na may kakaibang names (Php 70 lang!), sarap ng strawberry freeze nila, local beers and imported liquors 👍
(A)MBIENCE:
Tamang chill place pag sawa ka na sa ibang sobrang maiingay na bars sa Poblacion. The colors and interiors are so inviting yet very soothing. Very instagram-friendly (check out the pix)

Tortoise/Turtle in spanish is “Tortuga”
So happy to find another hidden gem in Poblacion. Tortuga is located at the 2nd floor of Lokal Hostel Ebro St. Makati.
It’s a very chill place, beach vibes kinda feel and it has aircondition!!!
Their food is awesome! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From the presentation to the taste. I love all of them. My personal faves would be their patatas bravas, jamon croquetas and jungle pumba. Another must try is their deep fried ice cream.
They have cool drinks as well. I tried their turon shooter and speciality cocktails: Sneaky tiki, Coco crush, Elderflower, Casa blanca and Espanola.
For the price, I’ll give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. For the place, service and them food quality and presentation, their pricing is on point. Not too bad.

I am so sad this place is so far away for a North person such as myself. I love their signature cocktails, super fruity and fun. Very fitting also with their neon island funk vibe. Who would have thought that tequila and pomelo can taste so good?
Celebrated my brother’s surprise party here and the entire staff was so accommodating of our special requests. Their event packages are also super sulit. Food and drinks were included. We didn’t feel shortchanged at all— in fact we were able to bring home some bottles that were still part of our package! Would definitely host another event here.
My friends and I have been here a few times, and on our latest visit we discovered that they have zomato gold! We ordered 2+2 drinks each (most of us has zomato gold) and everything tastes great! I like the chill vibe of tortuga, perfect for hanging out with friends!
Inreally like the española mix drink! Its a mix of bitter and sweet taste of the alcohol and pomelo ❤️ also, i realky like the ambiance of the place! The colors gives you the vibe!
They don't offer credit card payments :-( Please work on this but aside from that, I was relatively happy with everything! The servers are nice as well.
This place screams college memories. So happy to see that they kept most of their Katipunan waiters. Drinks are still good but quite pricey already. Well they change locations and it’s in Makati already.

FOOD QUALITY
For now, Tortuga’s food menu isn’t complete yet since they are still on the soft-opening season. But I can honestly tell you that their food is heavenly good! Jungle Pumba gave me that tender and juicy pork meat which I really love while Tortuga Chicken Curry offered a very flavorful dish that I couldn’t forget. The restaurant’s chicken curry is by far the most delicious curry that I’ve tasted in my entire life. This may sound exaggerated, but try it yourself.
SERVICE QUALITY
One thing that made my dining experience more memorable is their service. The staff to the restaurant manager, all were accommodating. The manager didn’t mind asking us questions about the food quality and all about the place. Even the bar tender answered all my questions regarding the information about the Tortuga.
FACILITY QUALITY
The place is indeed relaxing. While the color and vibe makes you feel young (seriously). The background music is just enough that will not make your ear drums blow nor put you to sleep. I really love the homey feel.
PRICE QUALITY
Poblacion food hubs are really expensive. It’s just normal if the restaurants in the area offer high prices. But it will all boil down to the quality of the food. As for my case, I will not mind paying Php 350 for a main dish which gave me a satisfaction like no other. So it’s just fair enough.
My overall experience dining in a softly-opened Tortuga was really great! It turned my stressful week to a stress-free one.
