I have had the chance to come multiple times to Coude Rouge because this French restaurant is inside the famous only-french establishment of Manila named Alliance Francaise de Manille, situated near to SM Jazz mall and right opposite to Carusso Italian Restaurant.
FOOD:
I have tried their different dishes like chocolate croissant, danish croissant and coffee, crepes and I have been happy. It makes me content cuz it reminds me of my European childhood memories.
Overall, each dish is very good and I recommend it to try.
SERVICE:
Luckily all of them speak little French so if you wanna feel in France, come here! ;)
Courteous and smiley...that's what you want!
Dinner at Le Coude Rouge. I had the Jambon-Fromage Omelette (php340), and Soupe à l’oignon (php205). Soup and omelette were really good. The side salad needed tons of spicing up. Fries were good but sans ketchup, kinda incomplete.
Nice, charming ambiance.
Le coude rouge is an unpretentious place where you can find reasonably authentic French food. Pies for dessert are not to be missed. Lemon pie is nice but chocolate and banana is even better. The manager is very nice and the house red wine that gives its name to the restaurant rather good (it is Saumur Champigny, a wine from the Loire region in France) and reasonnably priced. Recommended especially before a French cinema session at Alliance Francaise.
