For my first time at Elbert's, I ordered the truffle mushroom sandwich. While it wasn't particularly exciting in looks or size, the sandwich was surely tasty and ooey-gooey-cheesy. I feel like there's room to take the enjoyment a notch higher though, perhaps if they added an additional ingredient/condiment to add zing or cut through its richness. I got their fries on the side and thoroughly enjoyed it as well- great texture and tasty but still flexible enough to be seasoned further to one's liking. Overall, it was a pleasant introduction and I'm looking forward to trying out their other offerings!
The truffle burger is kind of pricey (P500) but it is very big and really good. The burger is cooked to your liking and the truffle sauce actually taste like truffle.
Elbert's Diner is a unique place to enjoy food either alone or with friends. The ambiance of the place is nice as it is well lighted plus the fact that their chairs are comfy.
I personally love their fries and their shake. The fries is crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside. It has a unique flavor profile that you would not be able to enjoy in other restaurants which merely season their fries.
With respect to the milkshakes, I love their oreo milkshake. The texture is a mixture of ice cream and cream which could be quite frustrating to enjoy when the paper straw gives up on you.
Lastly, the salpicao is quite ordinary.
Good. But it wasn’t like the cheesesteaks I have had in the past. It had very little cheese on it and too few onions. Pricey but yummy!
My first time to try it out but I’ve been seeing this store even in it’s old location on the ground floor of rockwell.I’ve been wanting to try the cheesesteak sandwich and finally a chance to try it yesterday presented itself. I had the cheesesteak and my wife had the burger with onion rings and fries on the side plus a Reuben sandwich for rake away that we will give to my father in law.I liked my cheesesteak sandwich but found it a bit pricey at 410 pesos a pop without sides. The burger was juicy,tasty & cooked medium aa we requested. Overall,we were satisfied.Ended our meal next door with a scoop each of Carmen’s🤤

Elbert's Sandwich Shop is new to me. I never knew that this existed in the original Rockwell. Anyway, as a first timer, I ordered the Classic Provolone Cheesesteak. 450 for a sandwich? Imagine that. But hey, once it was served, it was really big. A sandwich shop that served big sandwiches?! To my surprise, just one serving of this filled my appetite. I didn't have room for dessert anymore. That goes to show that it's worth it. Price is a little too high for a sandwich but the cheesesteak is really good. No joke. They have this promo where you get to pick between fries or onion rings + a drink. I chose onion rings and wow were they thick. I really wish they cut it into thin slices. But nevertheless, it still tasted good.
I used to get elbert's cheesesteaks back in their original Rockwell location years and years ago when I was younger, and I'm very glad to see elbert's back and serving their cheesesteaks again. Price-wise, it's still the same as ever, a pricey sandwich, but one whose quality cannot be matched elsewhere. Yes, we're talking a potentially 450 peso sandwich, but you're getting 450 pesos worth of quality, you're not gonna eat it and think that they cheated you. Their beef is excellent, and generous. Onions may be cut a but larger than one of would like, and a bit less cooked that one would like, but it strikes an essential balance with the sandwich. Provolone is always how i have always had it, and it definitely gives it an added element, but it's not necessary.
Forget the hotdogs, everything else. This place is about one essential thing, the cheesesteaks, and you've got to have it at least once.
The almost two decade old Power Plant Mall recently got a facelift. It’s newest wing has new retail spots and a few modern food concepts. Elbert’s is one of them, a restaurant offering American Sandwich concepts like burgers and cheese steaks.
I loved the value of their Southwestern Grilled Chicken. It was messy to eat with its rich barbecue sauce and melted cheese. The chicken meat was generous, plump and tasty too! The addition of caramelized onions and spicy jalapeño gave it an even more interesting boost.
A bit pricey but worth it if you’re in the mood for a greasy, sumptuous cheese steak or burger. I ordered the classic provolone cheese steak. Their fries are also very nice, you can really taste the potatoes. All in all, pretty good!

I don't go to Rockwell that often. I hadn't been there since the recent expansion so I wanted to take a look. I had another restaurant in mind but passed this place and remembered reading about it so I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did.
First of all, the "famous fries" were terrific. I don't know if it's the oil they fry them in or the seasoning or just my mood, but I loved them. Bonus points for offering mayo as well as ketchup to go with them.
I got the cheddar cheesesteak. It tasted right. Some people may think P410 is expensive for a sandwich but I'm guessing this was reasonably good quality beef (see my 2nd photo) and the sandwich was loaded with it - I think the price was fair. The onions needed to be cooked more - I think that's my only complaint. Lea & Perrin's hot sauce was an odd choice but it did the trick.
I love a good Philly cheesesteak and this one was probably as good as one is likely to find in this part of the world. Next time I'll probably go for the provolone cheesesteak instead. It would be nice if they opened a branch in BGC in the future. If they had a branch near my office I'd go there once a week without fail.
finally, a great cheesesteak sandwich in Manila. the cheddar cheesesteak was so meaty, so heavy, so cheesy. Even their fries did not disappoint. the servers were also polite and attentive. I would recommend this place, for sure. :-)

Had my usual cheesesteak sandwich. It was still great but it wasn't the same as what I used to have in alabang. Think the new one is less oily, onions were not as caramelized as well.
Ordered the cheddar cheesesteak, it tastes just like the ones in states just smaller. A bit on the pricier side but if you want yummy sandwiches this is the place to go!

I had a great Cheddar Cheesesteak Sandwich. Very well done. Cheesy and moist, just the way k like my sandwich, and with melt-in-your-mouth beef.
Took out a Tuna Sandwich which was also good.
My only complaint is that they don't have coffee - had to get my cuppa from Starbucks
Ordered the Provolone Cheesesteak Combo. Juicy beef, perfectly crusty yet soft bun, sweet onions and mouthwatering cheese. It may seem pricey to some but appearances are deceiving. It was such a filling meal! I was so stuffed.
And the service was excellent too! Great job team!!

It’s not cheap but it’s gooood here. They serve quality food. They are the first shop in Manila that comes to mind when I think of cheesesteak. Glad they reopened in Rockwell again after years and now they have a much bigger place with more seating capacity unlike before. Super love their fries too, not like those obviously pre-made frozen ones that other restaurants serve. Love the self serve unli mayo and catsup too for my fries and burger. Will definitely be back when my cheesesteak craving “attacks” again. 😉
I'm so happy Elbert's reopened already in Rockwell! My favorite here is the provolone cheesesteak and their fries. No question on the taste and quality of food -- I just don't know if they are still on soft opening. They need a more systematic ordering/queueing system. After ordering, they just asked me to point to where my companion was seated to know where my order should be served, which I found weird. Some cleanliness issues also which I hope they will fix soon.
After That’s Incredible at Power Plant Cinema, we were ready for dinner. Amazing how we can still be hungry when we just demolished a giga tub of Potato Corner fries in addition to a huge tumbler of cheese popcorn.
Anyway saw this new place we have not tried before and got in line at the cashier.
Seems like everyone is in Rockwell. All restos are packed on a late Saturday night including Elbert’s Sandwiches.
I love how this resto’s facade is just literally open for everyone to enjoy. There are no doors. Just walk right in.
We tried their mushroom truffle sandwich P 290 and philly cheese steak P400. Omg their bread was so good! That mushroom truffle sandwich was greasy and rich.... yum! Philly Cheese steak? i dont know. Bunso does not want to share.
Yep quite pricey for sandwiches. Good though.
