Just wow. Exceeded my expectation. The famous red velvet vixen rly took me to a sugar ride,not to sweet, just right. The salted caramel cake was also rly good,it’s so moist, fudgy, and chocolatey. So underrated. I cannot wait to go back and try more flavors. 🥰
I was walking and searched for a comfy place to have coffee. I came across Sonja's and their 190 peso cake and coffee (choose latte or cappuccino or hot chocolate) combo was well worth the money. (The cake is 160 and the cappuccino 100++ if ordered separately) Sonja's has been in business for more than a decade capitalizing on cupcakes. To be fair, their cakes are also of good quality considering the price. (I've only tried the reversed salted caramel and the salted caramel so far and I've enjoyed both. Moist, can be too sweet for some, but a perfect compliment if you take your coffee sugar free). Will drop by Sonja's again soon.

After having a long walk around the mall, I just want to have a small comforting snack. Cupcakes by Sonja has always hit that comforting sweet spot for me. I have loved their cupcakes since my 1st bite years ago at their flagship branch in BGC.
There have been a few that have sadly phased out like the mint flavored one. Thankfully though, they still have the Lemon Drop. The tartness balances great with the sweetness. Always my pick, but sometimes it's great to eat something else like the Cookie Monster. Cookie dough is 🤤🤤🤤♥️♥️♥️. Or a slice of Rainbow Cake 🌈🍰.
Food: 5.0 - Great sweets that can bring you back to feeling like a giddy child again.
Price: 5.0 Doable prices. No shortcuts. Their icing is pure buttercream goodness.
Service: 5.0 - Nice staff. Friendly service.
Ambience: 5.0 - Located in one of the many open hallways in Glorietta. The view that spans all the way to Pasay Road/Arnaiz is a sight to behold for a city person.

My little daughter likes their cupcakes. I guess the pretty colours are appealing to her. For the Christmas season they had a very cute vanilla cupcake with a snowflake on pink icing. They have a lot of seating here.

We got the Reversed Salted Caramel Cake. The base is a super moist chocolate cake. Yummy and not overly sweet salted caramel icing.
We would definitely go back here to try other flavors

Affordable / Reasonably priced quality & delicious pastries. The slices are substantial and bigger than what I’ve had in other shops and even priced lower!

They serve cute cupcakes and they can personalize too based on your preference. Icings are not too sweet which I like and their take home box is cute!
This place is definitely nostalgic and takes me back to the days when I was still a kid and would beg my mom for a cupcake almost every after lunch. So imagine, one rainy weekend, I just suddenly thought of that exact moment, and would like to relive it by buying a cupcake. It took two weeks for me to finally have my cravings satisfied, but no regrets. Ordered the vanilla sunrise and bunny hugger (which is a carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting), PS yes, I ate 2 cupcakes in one sitting, and I didn't share. I'm glad that the old cupcake shop didn't lose its flair, charm, and flavor. The sweets tasted exactly just how I pictured it in my mind. Not overly sweet, with just the right amount of cupcake to icing ratio. It's a plus that they're visually appealing too. This place will always be the OG cupcake shop for me. 💖
