The best resto in Ayala Triangle, IMHO. Bacon Slabs + Aglio Olio + Blackout Chocolate Cake is the ultimate combination to beat hump day stress. The bacon slabs is good enough for two, but I can finish one order by myself :) The aglio olio is light enough to be paired with anything. The Blackout Chocolate Cake is one of the best in the metro, so I always say a little prayer that it is available when I visit. I've never been disappointed in any of my visits to this branch.
Definitely a go-to for quiet Fridates. I love the chill yet classy vibe here.
My favorites are their callos and bacon slabs. The callos has very tender meat with a rich, flavorful sauce. The bacon slabs are a must try! The serving size is generous enough to be shared by two people. Their vanilla bean ice cream also deserves a mention.
The service is also very consistent. On my several visits, all the servers assigned to us were very attentive and prompt to address our requests. You can tell that they are knowledgeable with their menu items, especially their wine selection. This is where I discovered Lambrusco (recommended by a server), which is now my favorite wine. Kudos to the servers of Poco Deli!
Poco Deli is the home of so many sweet memories I had, when my office was still located in Ayala Ave.
I have always loved their Bacon Slabs, Pasta, and Pizza dishes. Though I wasn’t able to take photos of all of them, heres what i generally think of Poco:
Food - most dishes are just really good for a bit hungry adult woman. Haha! It’s always a good idea to get one for each person, and get a for-sharing meal. Wine is good!
-my fave is the sausage platter and the shrimp salad!
-of course, bacon slab!
-least fave would be Peso Pasta!
Ambience - very neat, floors are clean, utensils are placed in a container per table. Although if the place is full, you’d totally hear other people’s conversation. But it’s not on an annoying level.
Service - sometimes they’re fast, sometimes they’re really really slow. Better to always go before peak hours!
Italian Comfort Food.
I had a great conversation and stay here in Poco Deli with a friend. The food was really comforting and the ambiance was really nice. We've had the following:
-> The 'Truffle Oil Pasta' was exactly what we're craving for. The al dente pasta, creamy white sauce which complemented the truffle oil was a good mix of flavors. It was topped with nicely cooked mushrooms and seafood.
-> The 'Prosciutto Pizza' was really good. The prosciutto was tender and the mozzarella really goes well with it.
-> The 'Chef's Salad' was a so so for me. The greens was not that fresh, the lemon vinagraitte was not too complementary with the olives and feta cheese.
A top choice when dining out in Makati for years now because of consistently great food and great service. Their servings are perfect for pairs and groups. During my last visit, our group of four had our favorite bacon slabs and a platter of cold cuts. Everything was served fresh even though it was already past the dinner hour. Happy food, happy tummy!
On good days, we eat bacon slab and Italian Sausage Pizza. These dishes makes us forget the stress of work and the horrible Manila traffic.
Poco Deli is a go-to place for catching up with friends after work and lunch with workmates. The place is cozy and relaxing. The servers are polite and quick!
I like the Bacon Slab, Gambas Al Ajillo, Truffle Oil and Mushroom Pasta, Blackout Chocolate Cake
Always our go to place whenever we crave for baby back ribs.
I love the sauce, how soft the meat is and their consistency with it.
We dined here for several times and I couldn’t remember any disappointing moments.
The atmosphere is so relaxing, ESP at dinner.
Apart from the baby back, we also like their ice cream — Gorgonzola and Fig, nice light dessert to finish off a heavy meal.
Review as of November 2018
Known for their Sausages and their Blackout Chocolate cake, Poco Deli has carved out its own niche among all the restaurants lined along Ayala Triangle. It's interiors are warm and cozy and just great for a catching up with friends.
Dishes I've tried, recommendations are marked with a star (🌟):
- Beef Salpicao 🌟
- Gambas Al Ajillo
- Italian Sausage Pizza
- Truffle Oil and Mushroom Pasta 🌟
- Blackout Chocolate Cake
This is a great place to satisfy your meat cravings! I've been here several times and usually order the sausage sampler and meat pizza. The sausage sampler is amazing, but once we were given a stale Wagyu sausage. When we pointed it out, it was promptly replaced with a fresh sausage. But still, all of their food is good, even if a bit pricey.
Happy to be at Poco Deli last Saturday & its my first time in this place🐷 Its a very nice place for Brunch😊
Its a deli place. They got lots of sausages , cold cuts, and cakes. They also sell bottled goodies plus different wines.
I’m excited, their menu is so interesting. They have lots of great dishes.
We had:
Pumpkin soup- served with bread on the side. Its good!
Bacon slab (single P280) it has a cup of rice, with egg, and french pork belly
Smoked BBQ Ribs (double P400)- french pork rib grilled with bbq sauce
House Brewed Iced Tea- its red! Not what I expected. Its actually a berry flavored iced tea, so refreshing
Citrus Delight- it has a very nice appearance when served. You’ll be delighted. The mixture has orange, grapefruit, lime, lemon , honey and soda.
Verdict: i love everything plus! Hunger satusfied👍🏻
