One of the best meals. Everything fresh and preparation is so well balance from their seafood to meat and pickled vegetables. I highly recommend this restaurant to food lovers
Highly Recommended! The selection of food is well balanced and healthy. Each piece is a work of art that tastes heavenly! Choice of only the freshest n finest ingredients! The place is so private with elegant interior that is perfectly Japanese. There is alway new each time. Thanks Chef!
Everything was delicious and the portions, perfect. Visited twice in a span of two weeks. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazingly good! I think this is the only place in the Philippines where we can eat the high-level of traditional Japanese course dinner. Some people said it's expensive, but this price is rather reasonable even though it uses high-quality ingredients imported from Japan. The only thing is, the waitress clears the table too early. I was still working on it but they didn't confirm. This is not only this restaurant, but this is also what we can see in common in the Philippines. This is one of bad custom, I can't feel hospitality. I want to eat more slowly and enjoy the food. I look forward to future development.
This is one of the best Japanese dining experiences you can have in Manila. Captures the beauty in simplicity of the Japanese kaiseki experience. The quality of the ingredients just shone all through each course. This is worth splurging for.
Excellent kaiseki dinner, service was superb. We had a 9 course meal consisting of different kinds of fish/seafood and wagyu beef for the main course. They used high quality and fresh ingredients for each course and all were cooked to perfection. This is a great restaurant if you're celebrating an occassion.
It’s not just food, it’s a whole experience. Really makes you feel like your back in Japan from the good food right down to the excellent service from their entire staff.
My mom invited me to have dinner at Kyoto in Legaspi Village... expensive by my standard but food was great, as in masarap, well explained even though I dont remember most of them... Very nice experience, I even forgot to take a picture on the clam dish but everything was delicious... They also have house hot green tea and it is a set meal.. Limited counter seating. Clean, courteous staffs, even the japanese chef and his assistant chef is always smiling he even made sure my food was ok... Am full after the dinner... My mom and I are both full, happy and smiling after dinner... We both love the popcorn like dish.... aliw na aliw kami... Recommend eating there just be ready for the bill....
Love it! Ps. If you opt for wagyu sandwich instead of wagyu with rice, call and request ahead they will happily oblige! The dessert ice cream with Mochi balls was amazing, really can’t find anything like it in Manila. Amazing service!
Really good Japanese kaiseki cuisine food set, yes the prices was high but still worth it. Recommend to foodies who loves Japanese/lite foods :D
From the several times we've visited Kyo-To since it's opening, they were very consistent in quality, flavour and serving size. However, for whatever reason, we felt that the serving size got smaller during our last visit (12 Feb). I would still say that this is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city but I do hope they be of the quality they were from last year (2018).
We were invited to this fantastic kaiseki experience of a set meal with exquisite dishes served in fine dinnerware. Kaiseki is inspired by traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
We started off with Hokkaido Crab with vinegar jelly. Excellent creamy crab. Next was the Tora Fugu (blowfish) in Ponzu sauce. Ginnan or ginkgo seeds was next, cooked till tender.
Dobin Mushi came next, traditional Japanese seafood broth steamed and served in a teapot with tender salmon. Toro Buri Sashimi was next, very good belly part of yellowtail fish. Scallop Fry was next, followed by Buri Teriyaki.
Finally, the main course, Wagyu Ohmi with Japanese rice. Tender, tasty Wagyu.
Monaka, ice cream with red beans in a box shaped cone, was the dessert
