So glad I found this gem of a bar in Makati, beyond the great service the crowd was buzzing and the vibe was warm! We came there just to drink but we ended up ordered multiple bowls of Pho!!

Food, service and ambience are great. Check it out alone or with a group of friends. They make you feel welcome either way. Always go there for my Pho noodle fix. 😋

Cu Chi is always a favorite when I'm hungry in Poblacion. I think I've tried almost every dish on the menu now. The beef Pho is great. Filling, satisfying and a great aroma. Give this a place a try if you like Vietnamese cuisine. Value for money too.

Doesn’t look at glamorous but the food and drinks are affordable and that’s fine with me. We got hungry after our Polilya visit so we transferred here. Their walls had Vietnam themed designs and posters.

My friend who went there before mentioned when she went there the tables and chairs were moved to the side and they turned the middle portion into a dance floor. The night we went there it was acoustic night so people performed and sang in-front.

I also noticed they have discounted rates for food and drinks cause the server gave me the wrong menu with higher pricing. I ordered Curry Rice with Chicken (Php 139) the sauce wasn’t as thick and it was watery. So I wasn’t full I ordered Fresh Spring Rolls (Php 109). I liked it even though nakakabitin 😂 then i ordered Mule (Php 80).

All i can say is THEY HAVE THE BEST MOJITO! The great thing also about this place is they have a buy 1 take 1 promo on their selected cocktails. I also tried their fresh spring rolls (vegetarian), it's very filling eventhough it's pure vegetables.

Pretty laid back place in the Poblacion area. Cu Chi is a Vietnamese bar and bistro so it makes sense that they have really cool Vietnamese interiors. Perfect place to grab a beer on any day of the week. Tried their bahn mi , spring rolls, and pork skewers- all affordable, all great. Plenty happy with their service, pricing, and ambience. Been here a couple of times with friends and will keep coming back!

Great location, great vibe, great food. Definitely coming back! Staff is very friendly and I love to watch the people downstairs on the road - the open-style bar is decorated with lots of vietnamese inspired signs and paintings.

Ordered the Bun Cha (mixed grilled meat, mixed vegetables & herbs, rice noodles & soup) and it is amazing. The grilled meat with the fresh vegetables & herbs are just incredible. The soup may not be for everyone for it is made of vinegar, sugar and a whole lot of patis (fish sauce) but if you’re into Vietnamese food you will definitely appreciate and enjoy.

The fresh spring rolls with shrimp are a definite must and quite filling.

Service is great and looking forward to trying out their cocktails on the next visit.

If you are traveling to Vietnam, I really recommend that you go eat and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. The food there is super delicious. So when I kind of took a break from traveling, I kept on wishing and hoping to find an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the Philippines. Finally, I felt that my prayers were answered with the opening of Cu Chi Bar in Makati. Btw, I say authentic Vietnamese restaurant because the chef, Chef Tung “Ryan” Pham, is from Vietnam.

Named after the tunnel maze built during the Vietnam War, Cu Chi Vietnamese Bar is reminiscent of Vietnam’s red light district analogously echoed by Miss Saigon’s Dreamland. The 70’s vibe oozes through the vintage posters, wall paintings and dim rouge lighting, best complemented with retro and/or funky music. [Read More]

Poblacion is one of the current go-to spots of millenials when they're down for a food trip here in Makati. The Poblacion neighborhood is composed of an ever-growing number of restaurants owned by some foreign entrepreneurs. These said restaurants offer a variety of authentic international cuisine to their dining customers. One of these dining places located in Poblacion is Cu Chi. It is actually managed by Vietnamese and Filipino owners. They serve delicious, authentic Vietnamese food to their dining customers.
A visit to this restaurant would make you feel like you are actually on a trip to Vietnam. Here, you can find a mural displaying a rich sense of Vietnamese culture.
What makes Vietnamese food uniquely their own is the kind of method they practice in preparing their food. The methods they follow make the flavors of their food to really stand out on one's palate.
Kicking off our gastronomic experience at Cu Chi was getting a taste of one of the staples on the Vietnamese dining table - their fresh Vietnamese spring rolls. It was remarkably delicious, given that they use fresh veggies on them. We also got to try Cu Chi's fried pork spring rolls, which we got to enjoy so much, especially when we tried it with their vinegar dip.
Served on our table next were their Skewers Pork and Chicken BBQ. The meats were smothered and marinated in spicy sauces making them very juicy and flavorful. I suggest having these with the rice noodles. They're perfect as a pair, I tell you.
Another thing that I enjoyed so much was their serving of Bun Cha. It consisted of lean beef and glass noodles over a very tasty soup. I also suggest that you order it with their Beef Pho as the two go well together.
To get your fill of a carb-rich diet, I highly recommend for you to try Cu Chi's Banh Mi sandwich. My friend and I had it and he actually liked it so much. It was made of crunchy bread, with pickled vegetables and meat in it. We actually had the pork variety and asked to have it with more spicy sauce.
If you are about to visit Cu Chi for the first time, look up for Ebro Street on Google Maps or Waze it up. You can actually see a view of the busy neighborhood from where they are, being on the second floor of a building. Note that finding a parking space within the area would be somewhat of a challenge, but I do think that the place is worth checking out so please come by and give them a visit!
