Brought my girlfriend here to celebrate our long overdue anniv. I did my research on the place and there were only great reviews so I gave it a shot. Apparently I wanted everything to go smoothly. So it was the first time of the both of us to have a fancy date night. Since we have arrived there we received good service until the end. Food was served in a certain way, from the most raw to well done. Here’s what we got:
1.Spicy Tuna from their special menu- we loved the texture and the flavours. They may say who can go wrong with spicy tuna but truth is I have tried other spicy tuna before and this is so far the one that doesn’t upset me. My gf really loved this one.
2.Oyster-from the looks of it, you can already say it won me over already. I am a huge fan of oysty so I know how to distinguish a good quality. This one is briny, sweet, salty, and the lime just shines through. OMG.
3.Wagyu tartare-reminded me that great things come in small packages. OMG the nori really elevated the thing.Hypnotic.👏🏻
4.Salmon Kushiyaki- I am always team salmon so I had to try this one. Kid you not, forgot my etiquette when I tasted it. The corn flake was an interesting element I never knew would go well with salmon. The salmon was very juicy my soul was crying. Also it paired so well with the seaweed rice with yolk. This is my personal favourite.
5.Katsu Sando-first encounter, triggered our olfactory senses more than the optical. By the looks of it,looks just like a meat squeezed in between two breads. But my god, when we took the first bite, it exploded right in our palates. Damn so good!!!!
6.Faux Twix-seasalt and home-made twix?just try to imagine the best sex of your life. It is that.

I am not that articulate in speaking food but for sure,12/10 made our night the loveliest night of this year and I’m not sure if that could be topped anytime soon.

Must try: well... EVERYTHING? But if I have to play favourites, get the oysters, uni toast, salmon in butter, onigiri, salmon kushiyaki, and the faux twix!! I had to order the twix twice and would have gotten some to go but ya know - health.

I’ve been coming back here repeatedly for the past year or so, and just realized that I haven’t had the chance to give it a review on here so here goes!

Go-to place for special occasions, and random dinner dates - this restaurant has the makings of the kind of place you grow attached to.

Such is the trust we put into the food they put on their menu, that even dishes we don’t usually eat or have even tried before, we order anyway, because we know it’s always going to be amazing. And it’s been going that way. Kudos to the team!

The theme is experimental, fusing many different cuisines, but with a slightly heavier nod towards Japanese. Every bite of any dish you order, will take you on a taste journey. You’ll know what I mean when you try! Every dish is prepared impeccably, and you just know you’re in for something special, as soon as you get the first one served at the table.

So yeah, it’s obviously my favorite spot. It’s comforting to know that 12/10 is here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future, and far as I can tell! We’ll keep coming back, Gab and Thea! Cheers!

If you’re in the mood (and have the budget) for next level Japanese fusion, 12/10 is the place to be. Reserve a week or more ahead since this place gets packed particularly on weekends.

The extremely nice and friendly waiters will explain to you that the order of the menu items is from freshest (raw) to most cooked through. Every dish is one small plate with two servings each, which is good for two people. However, it’s recommended to order at least five or more dishes because they’re quite bite-sized.

For the oysters I’ve had fresher, but I am also particularly sensitive to seafood. Uni toast was quite interesting, as it was literally raw uni slathered on toasted sugar bread. Curry on the salmon kushiyaki complemented the flavor and the cornflakes added great texture, and the gorgonzola cheese elevated the Octopus Croquettes. Katsu sando was very crispy and had a similar kind of (sweet) bread to the uni toast, and there were some layered flavors in the onigiri from the mix of spicy tuna, foie gras, and maple.

The bill was ~2800 php for two people without drinks. Expect to shell out more if you’re ordering from their rather extensive Japanese alcohol selection. However, you will be treated with excellent service. Waiters are highly attentive and will check your table every few minutes. They refrigerated our birthday cake without any corkage fee, and they write a personal note on your bill for a nice touch.

All in all, it was a great experience and 12/10 really made us feel like valued guests. Kudos and keep up the great work!

This place is a little gem in a street that looks like an alleyway in Makati. Not many know about it but my boutique hotel was right beside it. Little did we know that there was a talented chef at this location who creates art with food. We ordered a unique 5 course meal not on the menu as it was a special that evening. Everything that came out was so unique, so artistic and well presented. It was delicious, well plated in perfect portions for 3 people. He made it enough for 3 people which was a very thoughtful delivery.

6. Onigiri : 4/5

8. Corn : 4/5
9. Twix :5/5
10. Tuna salad: 4/5

Drinks:

Celebrated my 2nd anniversary with my girlfriend here. Took her here one our first as well, and the food never disappoints.

1. Oyster was my favorite last time we came here and it still taste amazing. Fresh, briny, & with hint of citrus that balances the whole bite. Excited the palate for what’s to come.
2. Red snapper: very simple sashimi with fresh ingredients. Orange was used on this one and the slight sweetness complimented the fish perfectly.
3. OMG the curry on top of the salmon was 💣. Recommend this to all.
4. Tori was the only non seafood dish we ordered. New to the menu and a great addition to the meal. Chicken thigh was cooked perfectly and the crispy skin was on a whole different level. But the star of this dish is the black garlic sauce on the side. I’d be happy eating just that and rice 🤤. Chicken was lightly seasoned and made the sauces the star of the show.
5. The best dish for me was this salmon head. The Cajun spice rub just made it perfect. Told my gf I need rice with this one, that’s just how good it was. I honestly left nothing behind. All etiquette went out the window on this dish, even soiled my white shirt while eating it. SUPPER RECOMMEND it 5 ✨. We really appreciated that they repurposed what usually is a trash trash of a fish and turned it to pure gold.
6. Onigiri was great as usual. How can you go wrong with spicy tuna. The addition of the foie gras just affect another depth of richness to the whole bite.
7. Perfectly cooked rice with crispy seaweed toppings
8. Enjoyed the ice cream with a slight hint of the pecorino taste. Crunchy Rye crumbs gave a good addition to texture.
9. Twix on steroids. Was a complimentary dish from 12/10. Wish we could have just ordered more for takeout.
10. Salad was fresh and tasted quite similar to the onigiri just without the rice and the foie gras
11. Chu was enjoyable enjoyed that hint of pear flavor after every sip.
12. Kaku was a bit stronger tasting but the lime scent really came through.

This resto is very good, it has consistent good food, and the staff are polite and very efficient. The mayura wagyu and the uni toast are killers, the snapper and oyster were bombs, and i also liked the duck risotto very much. I ordered the mushroom salad, it was good and the flavors are there but its kind of flat for me. I think it lacks a little bit of vibrantness and the radish on top is lacking flavor, maybe it needs more citrus flavors or maybe the greens and the radish needs to be cold when served but overall its a class resto and will come back.

Actual rating: 4.3

It was a unique dining experience. We had the Omakase tasting menu comprised of 9 of their sample dishes. In a nutshell, I would say that it was great. Ambiance is perfect for dates with your significant other. Customer service is superb, hands down. Can’t emphasize that more.

For the dishes, most of them are great in their own way, like they use fresh seafood, cooking was on point, balance of flavors is achieved, and so on. It’s not for everyone though.

I’d recommend you to order the dishes that you think you would like. For example, you’re a fan of croquettes, then order their octopus croquette. It’s crispy on the outside plus savory in the inside, without being oily. The wagyu beef was cooked perfectly at medium rare, the meat melts (not exactly, but you get it) on your mouth and appropriate amount of salt and pepper were put to bring out the flavor of the meat. The onigiri was also superb for me, the mixture of spicy tuna and foei gras were explosive.

What I mean is that, do not order a dish when you know you don’t really eat bell peppers when it contains pimiento. Get it? Haha! Most of their dishes are the best of their kind, but if you’re not a fan of this type of food for instance, you won’t really appreciate it as much.

By the way, the twix dessert was a winner! It wasn’t too sweet, yet the chocolate was ultra rich and creamy. Complimented by the sea salt on top, this dessert would top off the gastronomic experience.

Parking isn’t a problem as well, well it was a Saturday kasi siguro. But still, good place to try!

Location: off the beaten path. Parking would be by chance. Better to go there with a driver or via TNVS .

Staff: friendly, knowledgeable, eager to please

Food: we opted to try their tasting menu for two. It was a good decision. I enjoyed the ocotopus and the onigiri the most.

Wish they could have some milk bread on the side so I could use it to clean up at the end all the remaining tasty sauce on my plate.

Drinks: good house wine and selection of highball options.

Overall: good experience. Will recommend.

🐽 Food: The taste and mix of ingredients for each meal were very well planned. Everything we ordered were flavourful! Enjoyed the salmon and tuna onigiri the most.

🍹 Drinks: We ordered gin tonic but I don’t remember which one. We’ve tasted better. We’d like to try their cocktails or beers next time.

🍴Ambiance: Intimate and romantic. Really a nice date place.

👫 Service: Servers were friendly and accommodating. They knew their menu well. They kept on clearing our plates as soon as we got the food and transferred them to our own plates. Like literally right after, which made it seem like they were asking us to hurry up and leave. HAHAHA

💸 Price: Quite pricey but definitely worth it.

My foodie friends and I previously made a deal that we can only eat at a restaurant once, so that we can always try something new – this is one of the exceptions. This is our 3rd visit with them, and with their updated menu, dining here is always an enjoyable experience. Don’t be fooled by the prices though. The dishes range from PhP 190 to PhP 460 (with the exception of Wagyu at PhP 1,250), but on average I would say you have to order at least seven.

12/10 is my favorite restaurant in the area. I have followed the progress of young twosome, Gab Bustos and Thea de Rivera. When we were in the South, we fell in love with The Girl & The Bull and witnessed the creativity of the pair.

They gave up the BF location to be able to concentrate on their 2 restaurants in Makati.

Tonight, in between my 2 mass services, I grabbed a quick dinner at 12/10. I had a 3-course meal of Spicy Tuna Salad, Tori with Seaweed Rice and Faux Twix (1/2).

One of the reasons I love coming over is the enthusiasm, attentiveness and friendliness of its young staff. From Kat at the reception to John and CK manning the bar and the bar table to the vibrant Louie, they're all great company. Very knowledgeable too, to guide you thru your meal or drink selection.

The Spicy Tuna Salad had raw tuna cubes and kyuri (Japanese cucumber) coated with panko bread crumbs, nori and mentaiko (pollock roe). The result is a gritty, oceany, spicy but yummy combination that just gives a peek into the mind of Chef Gab.

Art meets flavor with the Tori as you have 4 perfect squares of fried chicken spiced with paprika. The skin is shiny, flat and utterly crispy that you will just be awed as to the type of preparation for this beautiful and savory dish. Paired with Seaweed Rice, it takes you to another dimension as it introduces tastes from the sea, enhanced by dashi and nori.

They now have other desserts, but nothing and no one can stop me from claiming my absolute love for their Faux Twix. It is great that they are using dark chocolate to counter the sweetness of the caramel and the crunch of the biscuit. Absolutely adorable. Prelude to a wonderful Christmas!

Had the most amazing birthday dinner here last week.

Service
The staff were super accomodating and helpful. Since it was our first time, they guided us on what to order without any pressure to get this or that. They made sure we enjoy our experience by explaining every dish after serving it, by that we understood what we were eating. Two thumbs up for that!

Ambiance
Perfect for romantic date! The place is candlelit and very intimate.

Food
Oh my god. Every bite we take, my boyfriend and I were transported to a whole new level of amazingness. It was such a life changing dinner and we never wanted it to end.
We ordered Mackerel, Uni Toast, Salmon Kushiyaki, Katsu Sando, Oyakodon and Onigiri.

The Onigiri is my top 1. My least favorite has got to be the katsu sando, still good but the buns that they use didnt work for me.

Will we come back? We were already planning it after the 2nd course 😂

I celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and it was an amazing decision. If you want to go out on a date, I would highly recommend this place. It's dim inside so it's a candle-lit dinner when you get inside. 😍 they serve the dishes one at a time and they recommend that you get around 6-8 dishes to be happy and full. 🤗 My personal favorites were the Katsu Sando, the duck, and the octopus croquette. These dishes are way beyond what they seem. The katsu sando was like a delightful burger and the meat was so juicy and tender. My boyfriend absolutely loved this. The croquette was so so good!! The octopus inside was amazing and even the Japanese mayo was good. I really don't have any complaints. The duck was heavenly and perfectly cooked on top of an equally perfectly cooked risotto. I loved these dishes the most. I almost want a monthly dinner here. 😍

Had the mackarel, mushroom salad, fish jaw, uni toast, onigiri

Mackarel, mushroom salad, and fish jaw(salmon) we had was perfect, both of the fish course was cooked on point. Perfect. Flavours blend in perfectly. Mushroom salad had the sweet bitter taste to it, very nice combination.

Was dissapointed at the uni toast, the taost felt like it was bathed in butter, a bit too oily for my taste, especially combined with uni.

Onigiri was the biggest dissapointment, the nori was a bit too tough for me, cant taste the tuna and foie gras, mainly because it was combined with torched cheese for some odd reason, delicate ingredients used but the playing of flavor did not match, cheese was too heavy for the foie and tuna to stand out, taste like nori cheese sushi

12/10 is a hole in the wall restaurant that we recently discovered. The flavor of each dish is quite unique, having its own twists. We tried the set for two and ordered the foie gras onigiri a la carte.

I was quite surprised with the salmon and the wagyu, and would say that those were my favorite among the dishes.

Woah. I wish we had a place like this in Chicago.

The place is a hidden gem, tucked away from all the busy restaurants. It's dark and cool (figuratively, not literally). This is my kind of spot. It would be perfect for a date night, or in my case, a cousin night haha. Our waitress gave us a rundown of the menu, how to order, and recommendations for each category. -I included some pictures but not all-

Everything was delicious. I didn't think I would get full since they are small plates, but I almost didn't finish the dessert because I was so full! I looove this place!

Also great touch in the bathroom. There was a "we're hiring" flyer with Kanye's face on another body, passing out flyers from behind the bar. Totally a suave millennial restaurant. I'm here for it.

12/10 in San Antonio, Makati is a non-traditional izakaya place. Tucked along Guijo Street, the restaurant is unassuming and a hidden gem.

It’s owned by the same young couple who owned The Girl + The Bull in Parañaque. I’ve been wanting to visit this place for so long now and when my birthday came up, thought to myself that this was the perfect excuse. 😅

The place is minimalist and has a very intimate ambience. Just too dark to take nice photos, but still, it’s perfect for date nights or a night out with the girlfriends.

Their menu is listed from rawest to the most cooked and the ordering sequence is from top to bottom. And if you’re having a hard time trying to decide what to get, the people there will gladly help you and explain each and every item. But not me, I knew what I wanted to order even before coming here, I’m OC like that. Lol, jk. 😅

The BF and I had the following:

🥢 MUSHROOM SALAD (salted egg yolk, honey, black sesame)
Three kinds of mushroom, drizzled with honey with crunchy greens. I can be persuaded to become a salad person if I can have this everyday.

🥢 EGGPLANT (miso, pinipig, herbs)
I looove eggplant. ‘Nuff said. 😅

🥢 SALMON KUSHIYAKI (truffle oil, curry, corn flakes)
A real treat. I loved he contrasting textures of the soft salmon and the crunchy corn flakes on top. It’s too addicting.

🥢 ONIGIRI (aburi spicy tuna, foie gras, maple)
Torched spicy tuna on a bed of Japanese rice with foie gras on top, served taco style. Best eaten by hand. This was super good but my only issue with this one was that the nori seemed a little too tough. We had a hard time chewing on it.

🥢 KATSU SANDO (tare, yuzu kosho, cabbage, bao)
Probably the tastiest bao I’ve ever had. It’s simple but it packs a lot of flavor.

🥢 FAUX TWIX (shortbread, caramel, chocolate)
Again, I love Twix so I’m defintely sold. It’s rich and sinfully good I was tempted to order another one. 😂

Most of their dishes have small servings and while others might find it medyo bitin, I appreciated it because one can see that they put a lot of thought into each dish. It’s a feast for the senses. Beautifully presented and everything tasted amazing. They also have an extensive menu of cocktails and highballs. A bit on the pricey side but great for an indulgent night out. Oh, and there’s a sweet letter after you dine. 💖

A hidden gem in Makati. The restaurant is very minimalist. The industrial interior gives the place a very neat and positive vibe. The menu is very precise. The food are uniquely good with a lot of textures and flavor. And for the cocktails, I’m totally speachless. Each item in the list has it’s own story and character and you would really wanna try everything out of curiosity. I’m also giving 5 stars to their service. The staff are very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable of the menu items. Excellent food, friendly staff who explains what your going to have. Drinks are a bit strong but for the younger crowd I guess that’s the way they like it. Tried this drink called fuck you Daisy, was really good. The bartender who mixed this drink must have really not liked Daisy, still something to try. Parking though is a problem. 12 10 is a holy grail if you are on the lookout for a cozy and classy restaurant and bar. Located in Guijo Street in Poblacion, it is accessible to the Makati business district. The crew are well-versed with the dishes and the drinks and they're not your ordinary bar staff. They're intellectual apart from being accommodating.
.
It is a must to try the food that they serve. What we liked best is their Salmon Sashimi soaked in a special sauce and topped with a drop of pickled wasabi which is amazingly light and bitter-sour. We also liked the Aklan Oysters which is served raw on its shell but soaked in a special citrus sauce.
.
Their Wagyu dish is also a must try with its tender cuts of beef combined with sweet and salty sauce and mushrooms. The three-layer cake that they serve is also a favorite. The layers of soft bread, caramel, and chocolate is topped with hints of rock salt for an amazing compliment of salty and sweet.

I've been here thrice and the place is definitely a must if you want good food, ambience, service and drinks. However do remember the small sizes of the dishes and price.

Don't come here looking for a buffet!

However if you are looking a good "dining experience" then this restaurant can't be beat! Best description is Japanese/Asian food meats tapas.

Staff introduce each dish they serve you well. They are very attentive to your needs and know how to serve the cocktails you want!

Definitely more of an intimate restaurant and not for everyone.

A great date place. Food is amazing, though prices are a little steep. The Spicy Tuna could've had more of the fish. Salmon Kushiyaki, Mackerel, Wagyu was amazing. The Onigiri blew my tastebuds, but I wish the nori was crispened or something, since it was a little tough to bite off. The Duck risotto is thr only thing that has let me down so far. The risotto was way too buttery (the butter tasted cheap). Other than the risotto, everything else is a 12/10!

New entry in my (short) list of favorite Manila restaurants. Loved everything about it - different location, nice layout and feel, good bar staff (not quiet as good as some of the speakeasy bars, but good nonetheless), very nice dishes and a young staff that were knowledgeable about the dishes and flavors.

The bill seemed very reasonable, at about P4,500 for 2 people, including a few rounds of cocktails and leaving feeling full.

Particularly delicious dishes we had were the spicy tuna and the eggplant (we ordered more at the end instead of dessert!). Generally preferred the lighter/more delicate dishes that were towards the top of the menu and less a fan of the heavier, more red meat type dishes that where lower down the menu.

Servings are small and a little expensive but they're really really good. I loved everything we ordered! The spicy tuna's spiciness was perfect. I don't usually like raw tuna but this one is an exception. The salmon kushiyaki tastes very interesting but I wish they just seared the salmon instead of cooking it all the way through. You cannot miss the onigiri!! It's best eaten like a burrito but we had a difficult time eating it like that because the nori was very tough so we just ate it deconstructed with chopsticks. Nevertheless, it still was the best dish we ordered. For dessert, we had their famous faux twix. It's good but I think it had too much salt. I personally still prefer the original twix candy bars but it's worth a try! 😊 tip: don't dine here if you're very hungry and not willing to spend a lot. You probably need to order everything on the menu to be full.

Probably the best restaurant in town at the moment when considering price, quality and ambience.
My family and I have attended this place many times each of which have been wonderful. The food selection is broad and well thought out choosing from different sections. The wine list is not big but contanis everything you would want. The service is very good and sometimes you can even be so lucky as to meet one of the owners which adds to the experience.
Well done and keep up the good work.
PS If you cannot get a table at 12/10 try The Girl and The Bull as an alternative. Same owners.

This is an absolutely must-try restaurant in Guijo St. but only if you love cocktails and Japanese food. A bold move by the owners to open an Izakaya (Japanese gastropub) in a side street in Makati and turn it into a destination.

The cocktails in 12/10 are amazing, made with the best spirits and liquors not found in many other bars. And they don't skimp on their liquor!. They have great gin/tonics - I tried Tanqueray Lime as well as Old Raj Orange (Old Raj is a delightful saffron infused gin). I also had Aviation - a cocktail made with Plymouth gin . My partner had Pineapple Express with Buffalo Trace bourbon. She also had Hard Pass - a campari/aperol and cherry Heering cocktail. All of the cocktails are good; though I liked my G&T's the best!

Now to the food. The servers explain why the dishes are in sections 01 to 04 on the menu - 01 being the lightest dishes and 04 the heaviest. We started with Spicy Tuna - a delightful raw tuna salad - and uni toast - which is chicken liver on toast with pineapple and shiso. We then had Eggplant - which is nice and crispy with pinipig and miso. Our mains were Chicken Karaage and Blackmore Wagyu. The karaage was cooked excellently with zesty gochujang sauce. Wagyu was melt in the mouth slices with cauliflower and uni.

Head to 12/10 with reservations for your next quiet celebratory dinner!

12/10 is the place to be if you have money you're willing to spend and if you're not a conservative eater (i.e. hates fusion cuisine). Menu-wise, it's very minimalist, but that only serves to prove that they really give a lot of attention to each individual dish. Food-wise, each dish really represents different flavor profiles and is generally tasty overall. It's no secret that an issue for most people is pricing, but with the number of plates and the quality of food being served, there's definitely some justification for that. Another issue is that substitutions are usually declined so you really have to work your way around the menu, but personally if I were to run my own restaurant, I'd accept that you just can't please everyone and you'll really have some people who dislike the food no matter what. The real downside though is that there's not much lighting inside, and that it also doesn't open on Sundays or at lunch time. Other than those issues, I wouldn't mind at all coming back if I'm really willing to spend money and impress someone else.

12/10 is a Japanese Izkaya restaurant, meaning they are non-traditional yet still manages to provide a gastronomic feast. The staff is really accommodating, and speaks English so it's definitely a plus for tourists and expats. One of them even complimented me on my highlighter (plus points)!! However, judging from the aesthetics one would never guess it as a Japanese restaurant until you find the chopsticks covered with a geometric print.

It's highly recommended to make a reservation if you want to eat at this restaurant, as walk-ins make it slightly difficult to ensure a spot for you and your date, especially since it's a quaint restaurant tucked away in the streets of Makati. We didn't have a reservation coming in, but we managed to get three seats by the bar, which wasn't such a bad thing when we could then have an up-close look at how they make interesting yet delicious drinks.

The way the menu works is that there are five different sections, ranging from the lightest to the heaviest for your stomach (one-four), with the fifth section catering to desserts. The main dish is in bold, with the side ingredients listed down in normal font. The dishes are pretty small, but if they know you're going to be sharing the dish they may accommodate according to your needs. Another point is that they are slightly expensive depending on what you get, so either choose carefully or make sure to bring a lot of cash beforehand.

one: spicy tuna and salmon - both were great appetizers, and were true to their nature in that they served as very good light starters for the night.

two: katsu sando - this came in burger form, with bao serving as the bun. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DISH; personally it's the best one out of all our orders! The sauce is divine and it's so rich, the katsu was crispy and the balance of the bao's softness and the flavors of the vegetables made this so delightful on our tastebuds.

three: catfish and chicken kaarage - the kaarage was really good; though a little bit hard to eat around with chopsticks. Even so the combination of the slight bitterness from the charred eggplant sauce with the sweetness complimented each other to perfection. The catfish is something that's a little bit more typical to the Japanese nature, so it was expected but still so good.

four: onigiri - they served it with the seaweed unfolded, so you have to fold it like a burrito first before you eat it. It's a nice end to your meal if you're not getting dessert as it's light and effectively cleans your palette well.

drinks: vodka on the rocks (they used this Icelandic vodka called Reyka which is probably the smoothest vodka I've ever had) and chainsmokers (truthfully chosen because of the EDM duo, but is pretty strong so those with high tolerance can get this!)

verdict: 12/10 and would definitely go back for more ;)

The food is really divine! Each dish, albeit small, bursts with flavor. And the textures inside my mouth are really amazing. Innovative, well-balanced cooking indeed! On the downside, the servings are very small and food is pricey. The food presentation is good but you can hardly appreciate it because the lighting is so dim. Acoustics are also not conversation-friendly - the music is a bit loud and the chattering is too pronounced. And the biggest turn off were the servers. I get their enthusiasm but most of the time they're too intrusive. I'm raving about the food itself but the rest of the experience was meh. To experience it once is enough.

So I ordered in (1,2,3,4) that's their definition from appetizer to dessert. Spicy tuna salad was nice, katsu sando a little too sweet with the sauce, uni toast which is my fave, onigiri which was a little bland. Faux twix bars, it's alright. Though great cocktails and the interior was just so pleasant and minimalistic. Good service too btw

Last 12/10 a special someone surprised me by reserving a table for two at 12/10. (Yea, what a coincidence)

Anyway, we really enjoyed the food. We ordered Tuna, Salmon Kushiyaki, Blowtorched Salmon and Wagyu.

Tuna was my favorite! I don't usually eat kyuri (one of the ingredients), but this dish made me appreciate it!

If you are looking for a unique Japanese dining, try 12/10 because they don't just give an effort to artsy plating but they also add twists to their dishes which will bring rainbow to you palette!

The restaurant is also known for their drinks, but were not able to try them out.

Lastly, We really enjoyed dining here because of their service. The manager and staffs were very accommodating. Since it was our first visit, they really took the initiative to tell more about the dishes and what drinks goes well with it. We were also able to see how they make drinks since we first sat at the bar while waiting for our table to be ready.

We will definitely visit 12/10 again!

Food- 5
Service- 5
Ambiance- 3 (because the place is too small and too dark + small they have a small parking space)

Excellent ambiance in a small restaurant off the beaten track, love the decor and atmosphere at 12/10. The service is excellent with knowledgeable staff. Delicious cocktails to get the evening started. Most importantly, be food is outstanding - very fresh, loads of flavour and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

My brother's childhood friend, Jam, works here as a bartender/mixologist and has been inviting us to swing by every time we see her (we're neighbors). However, we avoid areas like Makati since lately, it has been very traffic everywhere (plus the rain makes it more unbearable). So when we happened to be in the area, we made sure to pay a visit.

I love the place (both restaurant interior and exterior). It's a feast for the eyes since I'm drawn to pretty little things like one corner where there were strips of pink colored paper glued to the wall.

It was a feast for our tummies too. The food was exquisite, unique - something new to me. Though the portions are very small and not for the hungry, it was special.

We had mackerel ceviche with sriracha, coconut, coriander oil and radish. The mixture of sriracha and coconut was awesome. Top notch mackerel!

Next we had their raw tuna salad with kyuri, yuzu kosho, maple syrup, ebiko, shichimi and nori. I liked this one too! So little though I had to stop myself from finishing it since I had to share.

The salmon kushiyaki with truffle oil, aonori, black sesame, wasabi, curry and cornflakes is my favorite!! The salmon was perfectly grilled, the curry flavor stands out I wanted to order a cup of rice to go with it. LOL!

We ordered something safe thinking we won't like the first few things we've ordered. We went for their Korean fried chicken but with a twist since it came with gochugang, shiso and lime.

Great dining experience, excellent service. Parking is a challenge coz the street is narrow. But go for the food! The flavors are diverse and an adventure to every palate!

I really enjoyed our dinner here at 12/10 even if parking was quite a challenge because of the narrow street.I really like that they serve their food in small portions so you can order a lot of the dishes (we ordered 90% of the menu.hahahaha!).I liked almost all the dishes and you gotta come early because they only have limited nunber of dishes for the night.I wasn't too happy that they charged us corkage even we were a big group with a ton of orders. And we were actually left to pour our own wine so I felt so shortchanged with what they charged us for corkage.Corkage covers the whole experience of wine service from the glasses to the wine being poured by the staff. If not for the corkage,I was very satisfied with the food and I don't mind coming back to taste or 2 or 3 items we didn't get to taste and maybe there will be new ones on my next visit.

When i first found out that the brilliant couple behind one of my favorite restaurants in Aguirre--Girl & the Bull, turned Japanese, i just knew i had to try their 2nd baby. Based in Guijo where parking doesnt come easy, it took us a while to get settled but once we did, as expected 12/10 did not disappoint. My pictures dont do justice. Every bite was an adventure to my palate. Highly recommended.

One of the best dinning experiences! Their location is probably not the ideal place to put up a classy restaurant, but i don't care. I'm there for their food, some alcohol, and good conversation. Rating 0.5 less to give space for improvement.

Their place is minimalist but the menu is diverse. Servings are small (for 3) but you can order for additional half. You need to dine here with a glass wine and have good conversation since you have to wait for the food after each item. In other words, DO NOT GO HERE and EXPECT a FULL BELLY or FASTFOOD SERVICES. You'll just be frustrated.

It's a place where you can relax with your friends and loved ones. Enjoy some cocktails or wine and good dishes that you cannot try elsewhere. Each will give you a different sensation since each meal has diverse flavors and textures. Share the experience with your company after each bite.

For a real dinning experience:
-order everything in their menu
-be in a group of 4 or 5
-be ready to spend
-If you prefer certain wine, you can bring your own and just pay for the corkage
-DON'T BE IN A HURRY!

I give true credit for the young kids doing a great job with a good vision. Imagine what they can offer and do in the future. Continue to explore and love your craft.

I'll be back!

12/10 is part of my list to explore and it is cute to know that this place is near from my new work place. It is a great experience for me to tried one of their best menu which is Salmon. As I was remember they only have 5 food in their menu. I didn't had a chance to taste their cocktail which is I think it is a must. I'll come back again for their bar! 😎

P.S. If you're hungry and you wanted to full your stomach, don't go here. 😊

Situated in the
grungy end of town with a minimalist design and interesting interpretations of
Japanese food, you’ll be staying out late working your way through their
kick-ass cocktail menu.

12/10 is a non-traditional izakaya, serving Japanese cuisine
with a modern twist. In true
izakaya style there is plenty to drink. The cocktail menu is extensive and
sitting at the bar watching the mixologists at work is quite an education. My Ramos
Gin Fizz was a pleasant surprise with egg white and cream making it more like
an alcoholic milk shake.

On the food side, the menu is short and changes according to
what’s fresh in season and whatever takes the chef’s fancy. The food is hard to describe, it’s Japanese at heart
but with an interesting twist. Take for example the karaage, it’s marinated in
gochujang which gives it a rich, sweet, salty, spicy flavor. It sits on a
spread of burnt eggplant that’s so smoky it tastes like ash…in a good way.

My favourite is the tuna sashimi which is served with kyuri
(cucumber), siracha, ebiko (flying fish roe), panko and nori. The crunchy panko and nori was an interesting contrast
to the smooth sashimi.

Another great dish is the Katsu Sando; katsu served with
cabbage on a steamed bun. It’s the trendy cousin to the Chinese BBQ pork bun, and
packs a spicy punch.  The salmon sashimi is also very tasty, the
fish was fresh and melts in your mouth but the cream it was served with was too
rich and almost ruined the dish.

12/10 is a great place meet friends for a drink and bite to
eat. Although the food is interesting and very tasty I would not be coming here
on an empty stomach expecting a large meal.

One word -- experience! 12/10 ticks all the right boxes for me with their excellent menu, ambience and customer service. Waiting in line was pleasant thanks to our gracious and cheerful receptionist. The place was packed when we got inside, but not the stuffy kind; it felt like a reunion of sorts, like a community. Bummed out they ran out of salmon (hence no kushiyaki for me) but the rest of our orders more than made up for it. Katsu sando, rib-eye, catfish salad, mushroom salad, toro onigiri -- everything had its own personality and lived up to the hype. You can't say you have Makati's restaurant scene down pat if you haven't been here.

Everything about this restaurant SCREAMS ART. Located in a casual neighborhood in Makati, the facade catches your eye immediately. Upon entering, this quiant restaurant mesmerizes you with its unique wall art. And I have not even started talking about the FOOD. The food is japanese with a twist. You almost wouldn't want to eat your food because of how beautiful they all look. A favorite is the INAGIRI because the combination of toro and foie gras is phenomenal. And I just have to give a special shoutout to all the servers that night. They were all so nice, friendly and eloquent. Will definitely be back real soon. Congrats, everyone behind 12/10!

No photos of the food cos they were gone the moment the plates hit the table.
They're also bite sized. I loved the food, the portions are small & for a group of four they even felt smaller :(
I wish did not feel bad and ordered more - waaaaay more!! But maybe the next time i visit Guijo street, I will.
The drinks were great too - you can easily ask for a drink that'll cater to your taste if their list of artisanal cocktails does not appeal to you.
Again, one can feel you are paying way too much for two sticks of salmon or two portions of onigiri but they have truffle and foie gras going on, so I vote for it being well worth it :)
I need to return to be filled!!!! Haha

Update:
I returned and ordered everything on the menu that was sans pork!! I loved every single thing!!!!

Man oh man, this place is great! Definitely a must try for those foodies who are looking something a little different than the traditional fair. A little tricky to get to if you're using Waze or Google Maps cause they make you turn left instead of right (coming from Sacred Heart St). Then again Guijo St is 2 blocks so you'll definitely find 12/10. Parking is on the street so practice your parallel parking, kids!

I've been lucky enough dine here three times and I've found myself almost always ordering the same thing (unless they change the menu). The orders are small plates so they are definitely made to share and try a lot of different things. So far I've tried the spicy tuna salad, mackerel ceviche, scallops with beets, blowtorched salmon, salmon kushiyaki, wagyu, chicken karaage, and the toro onigiri.

The spicy tuna salad was great! Instead of the usual tempura bits, seaweed, tobiko, and cucumbers were used for the crunch factor making it a more refreshing dish. The mackerel ceviche was not to sour which allowed us to savor the coconut flavor of the dip. The scallops were perfectly cooked although I thought with the beets, they were kinda bland. The blowtorched salmon was heaven. The combination of perfectly cooked salmon, uni, and caviar with the seaweed for crunch and shiso for the refreshing taste took away the overly briny taste of the uni. I didn't really enjoy the salmon kushiyaki cause I thought the salmon was overcooked when I had it. The wagyu was perfectly medium and great with or without the pumpkin dip. The chicken karaage was pretty standard although I didn't like the eggplant gochujang dip cause I don't really like eggplant in general. The toro onigiri was great except I don't think you'd know there was foie gras if you didn't look at the menu because I felt that the amount of cheese was overwhelming. Overall, I didn't really deviate from these dishes and the combination of any of them have always made for a great meal!

They always seem to run out of the Coffee Old Fashioned >.>)

Pro Tip: 12/10 doesn't take reservations unless you have a party of 7 or more so best to get there early on a busy day.

Great experience overall at this level-uped Yakitori place, 2 of the 3 orders we had were standouts. The blowtorched Salmon layered with sea urchin and caviar was amazing and so was the scallop beet ceviche. But the katsusando, salmon Yakitori and enoki was just so-so. The bar-man was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the food and his libations,

The Salmon Kushiyaki--with the fusion of flavors & texture of truffle, green laver, black sesame, wasabi, curry AND corn flakes--has made this one of the best-tasting salmon dishes I've had in the country. 12/10 ??

If you want to have a fancy date, this is the place you want to be. It opens from 5pm-11pm and I noticed that most of people who went here are actually adults. Hahaha

Anyways, the staff will explain to you how the menu works and as far as I can remember, this restaurant is more of a Japanese type. ?

It's hard to decide on what to take but they suggested that you should try at least 4-5 meals.

I was surprised that the serving per order was very small and it's actually pricey. The food was good and unique but what really caught my attention was their interior and even their bathroom.

They also have a waiting area (coffee & furniture shop) beside the restaurant and their interior are amazing too. ☺️

12/10 is a Japanese restaurant by Thea de Rivera and Gab Bustos, also known as The Girl + The Bull. The name of their second restaurant is a tribute to their anniversary date. The restaurant is an izakaya-inspired drinking joint featuring a customize-your-own degustation.

It's like the younger, hip brother of Mecha Uma--another "graduate" of the BF Aguirre Food Street-- offering contemporary Japanese cuisine to a mainstream foodie audience in the metro.

Went on a date with Rache plus the boys at 12/10, and here's what we think it...

12/10 is located at a gentrified house along Guijo St. in Brgy. San Antonio, Makati (near Guijo Suites).

The ambiance is like that of an art gallery with an izakaya bar counter.

(Check out the dodecahedron, which looks isometric from this vantage point, marked with a "+" on the floor).

I spy with my little eye, a pyramid.

Make sure to get there as early as possible if you want to have dinner with your kids.

(Note: the menu is not kid-friendly, and they won't adjust it for the little ones even if you ask nicely.)

The restaurant specializes in cocktails, like whiskey sour, and you order small plates to pair with the drinks.

Negroni (P260 +10% service charge). Gin, campari, vermouth.
My negroni was a little sweet, with a bitter aftertaste--a good aperitif for the meal ahead.

Mushroom Salad (P230 +10% service charge). Rocket, pickled red onion, salted egg yolk, sesame, honey.
Fresh greens and onions mixed with shimeji, enoki, and shiitake mushrooms, with sweet honey and salted egg for contrast. Nice!

Raw Tuna Salad (P240 +10% service charge). Kyuri, yuzu kosho, maple syrup, ebiko, shichimi, nori.
Fresh tuna with sweet, small Japanese cucumber (kyuri), chopped nori, sweetness from the maple, and umami flavors from the shichimi togarashi.

It was so good that Aidan and I fought over the last pieces of the salad with our chopsticks. Aidan won. :)

Blowtorched Salmon (P280 +10% service charge). Uni, caviar, panko, nori, shisho, ponzu, sea salt.
Loved the salmon, uni, and caviar combination, but the bitter shisho leaf was a bit off.

Chicken Wing Karaage (P260 +10% service charge). Fish sauce caramel, tobiko, scallions.
The chicken absorbed the sweet-salty flavor, which pairs very well with the popping tobiko, balanced by a mild onion flavor from the scallions.

The boys loved this. Joshua demanded a second serving!

Katsu Sando (P250 +10% service charge) . Yuzu kosho, tare, red cabbage, kyuri, steamed bun.
It's cua pao with fried patty pretending to be a burger. Forgettable but filling.

Salmon Kushiyaki (P270 +10% service charge). Truffle oil, aonori, black sesame, wasabi, curry, corn flakes.
I loved these salmon skewers with flavors of truffle oil, black sesame, wasabi, and curry, with corn flakes for texture.

Healthy and interesting, and should pair well with a smoky, strong whiskey.

Korean Fried Chicken (P295 +10% service charge). Charred eggplant, gochujang, sesame, shiso, lime.
12/10 KFC version. It wasn't as spicy as I expected, and the charred eggplant was bitter and not well-executed (Mecha Uma uses the same charred eggplant technique but tastes a lot better).

Best to squeeze some lime on the chicken for some added zest.

Toro Onigiri (P410 +10% service charge). Foie gras, negi, dynamite, balsamic maple syrup.
This is the best! Japanese rice wrapped in seaweed, then topped with tuna, foie gras, chopped onions, spicy mayo, and sweet maple.

By 9pm, the place turns into a hip drinking hangout for people in the know.

Overall, the food is great and overshadows the drinks. We love the Raw Tuna Salad, Chicken Wing Karaage, Salmon Kushiyaki, and Toro Onigiri. Budget about P750/head.

Comparisons with Mecha Uma can't be helped because of the shared BF history, the same style of presenting the Japanese-inspired food, and the same crowd it appeals to. I like 12/10 better though because of its Guijo neighborhood locale, the younger-brother-of-mecha-uma vibe, and its hip-artsy angst.

Congrats to Thea and Gab for 12/10! As they say, the first resto is a charm, but the second resto is the best, applying all the learnings from the first and having more confidence to express your art. Well done!
