Comfort food. It’s been years since my last time and the beef stew and baby octopus are exactly how I remember them. When I crave Korean, this is my go-to place.

Beef stew is really good, best enjoyed hot with a bowl of rice,  I also like their spicy octopus. If you are looking for quality Korean food visit Korean Garden.

Love this place we have visited no other place as often as KG over the years, to start with they have some of the best banchan you can find in the metro!

Bulgogi to japchae and bibimbap are always good, big plus for offering vegetarian options as well.

Simple but comfortable restaurant, love the fact that the grilled meats are cooked in the kitchen and not inside the dining area! Good and friendly service, no music is being played, which feels strange at times as the place is very quite even when packed.

Korea Garden is just a family favorite. Growing up, I like how consistent they are with the quality and taste of their dishes. Their appetizers are only served once (refills mighg have extra charge, depending on the number of people per table). I like the spinach and toge.

Their chicken, beef, and shrimp bulgogi are delicious and sweet, perfect with their plump rice. The beef stew is a classic but it's best to eat it while it's hot. The pan fried fish fillet and raw beef tartare is also recommended along with their sundubujigae & kalbi tang.

For dessert, you get free sliced pineapples.

A bit pricey but worth it if you really want quality Korean food. Their food is the reason why they are still here and valued customers still go back.

Pro tip: ask for extra beef stew sauce!

The place looks old, but classy. I think that their prices are a bit steep, considering the serving size. All staff are polite and really approachable.

Number of times visited: more than 2x

Parking: Several spaces are available in front of the store. However, since this is near the Makati business district, parking can be all filled up most especially during peak dining hours.

Food: This restaurant started my love for Korean food. So far, every dish I tasted from their menu is really good. However, if I have to select a favorite – it has to be the beef ribs stew (kalbi chim). Rich broth/saucy, fall off the bone, beefy goodness. This and just a bowl of hot rice –you’re all good!

They also have Korean BBQ but it is served cooked already, so if you’re the type who doesn’t enjoy cooking – you may like this.

They serve banchan and it’s refillable. For dessert, they serve fruits (we had pineapple before) or you may choose to order those Korean grocery ice cream which has become popular through the years.

Price: Can be quite expensive. Most of the dishes were priced Php 300 and above. Mind you, a single order can only serve 2 persons on the average or 3 persons who don’t have big appetites. However, I don’t mind paying a little bit more for great tasting food.

Service: So far, we haven’t encountered any bad service from them. Attentive during order taking and it’s easy to catch their attention.

Place: Not too fancy décor but at least it’s air-conditioned, clean, and spacious. Big groups can be accommodated.

Repeat: Yes! The Korean beef stew is really something!

Great Korean bbq place on Jupiter. The meat is not grilled on the table but arrive perfectly and freshly grilled at your table.

Top marks to beef stew and spicy octopus. Beef bulgogi and dak Bulgogi were pretty good too.

The banchan is not as plentiful as in other Korean establishments, but are tasty and replenished on demand.

My favorite Korean restaurant in the country! Yes, you can't grill your own food (but they do have samgyeopsal if you're really into that). You start with six plates of complimentary appetizers (mostly veggies- so yay for your body!)

I highly recommend the spicy octopus, beef stew, dumplings (either steamed or fried), pork bulgogi, bibimbap, chicken taqui (spelling?), Korean-style tuna sashimi, chapchae. Place is very homey, and it's not the best choice for an intimate date - since big families usually frequent the restaurant. Haha.

Super good here promise!!! I'm getting hungry just writing this review.

My favorite Korean restaurant. They serve the best beef stew... far different from other korean restaurants. They offer tasty barbecues and also try their octopus - yummy!!!

I've been eating here since they were on Burgos St. (2nd location) So weve been loyal customers because they serve good food and service is impeccable. They only have 1 branch and the trip is worth it.

my manager's mum manages the place (confusing?!) and they told me that they offer great tasting authentic korean dishes, they did not lie. the side dishes sparkled and when it came down to their specialties, they were even more wonderful. the spicy beef rib stew was the highlight (i saw the glimmer in their eyes when they consumed every mouthful). since meat was out of the question for me, i chowed down the shrimp tempura and spicy squid along w/ the chap chae (wherein i carefully separated the visible pork off my plate) and of course, we ended the gastronomical dinner with MELONA, haha. this dessert is and will always be a staple when our manager gives us a cold sweet treat! the ground floor is more for an intimate dinner but the 2nd floor can accommodate a function (or 2).

Craving for Korean food, we purchased a dinner voucher for 2 at Korea Garden from Deal Grocer. According to the deal’s description, Korea Garden offers their bestselling feast of signature dishes for 2 at a discount. It’s because they are celebrating their 41st anniversary (that’s admirable!). We sort of have high expectations from this restaurant since it was a recipient of Philippine Tatler’s Best Restaurant award and “Manila’s Best Korean Restaurant” award in Manila’s Best 2014 (which was dubbed as “the Oscar’s of Manila’s restaurant industry”).

We’ve been coming to this place for years (more than I can count with one hand). It hasn’t changed much since, but I consider that as a good thing. Korea Garden is one of those pillars in the community that we can rely on for consistently good, traditional Korean food. Probably one of the oldest Korean restos in Metro Manila, Korea Garden Restaurant has been serving authentic, traditional Korean cuisine  long before the Korean wave arrived. It has a family resto feel, not at all like its contemporaries riding on the success of K-pop in the Philippines. One way to describe it is that it serves lutong bahay Korean food, which gives the place a homey feel.

Very good Korean food and fast, efficient and friendly service. Ordered a chapchae, samyupsal, the onion pancake and a drink. Cost around 1200 for 2 people

The food here is the roughly the same as the other Korean restaurants nearby but I have to say the excellent service really is what makes Korea Garden Restaurant stand out.

Good price, great food, and excellent service. :)

My Recommendation: More food choices.

Best Korean Food!

I can just stop there because that's enough to describe Korea Garden! When I first arrived in Makati 4 years ago I asked my uncle where the best place is Korean food and he told me Korea Garden and for 4 years now my uncle hasn't been wrong. This place is awesome!

Last night Farah and I went down to use our dealgrocer voucher for their "award winning" dinner for two and as you can see from my pictures the meal is epic!

It started off with a really nice flavorsome soup with tender vegetables, the we were surrounded by a stack of bon chon with all the usual suspects like bean sprouts, kimchi, some spicy tofu squares etc. Then came the spicy squid, chapchae, the braised beef, bulgogi beef, pork dumplings (gyoza like) and steamed rice.

The food came out quick and it came out amazingly delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and all were very satisfying.

My favorite was the braised beef it was super super tender falling off the bone and swimming in a rich dark sauce. Yum!!!

We always have this meal whenever it comes out on dealgrocer can't go wrong :)

One of the best Korean restaurants in the city. Their beef stew is the best, according to my Filipino palate. I have not tasted beef stew like theirs anywhere, even in Korea. Makes me think that their blend is already heavily adjusted to the Pinoy taste. What the heck, I love it anyway. Their octopus in red sauce is also the best, as well as their chap chae and yuk hoe (beef sashimi).

A casual dining Korean Restaurant well suited for the short lunches of Makati employees, this restaurant serves delicious food in a clean and simple manner. Must try are the bibimbaq, barbeques and beef stews. Perhaps what's best about this place is that it has available parking space in front of the restaurant.

When I first tried Korean Garden, I instantly fell in love with their beef stew. I’ve been thinking about this every once in a while (…I’d see her smile…) and I was very happy when I finally got the chance to dine at Korean Garden again.

Korean Garden Mandu – PHP 200
Steamed tastes bland and has to rely to their vinegar like dip while fried would be more flavorful. Still, I liked the steamed version better.

Korean Garden So Kalbi Kui – PHP 330
the grilled beef ribs pales in comparison to the flavor and tenderness of the beef stew.

Korean Garden Samgyupsal Kui – PHP 245
Samgyupsal by itself doesn’t have much flavor (go for bulgogi if you want marinated meat). It usually comes with lettuce, garlic slices and a spicy pepper paste (

Korean Garden Tak Bulgogi – PHP 280
A very flavorful dish! You may continue to enhance the flavor by dipping it into the sauce that flowed into the sides of the plate.

Korean Garden Kalbi Chim
This was really delicious! The soup itself was very flavorful and you can already eat it with rice. The beef or fatty beef was also so soft and tender that you can slice it with your tongue. You also need to consume this immediately unless you want a fat flavored lip gloss.

For me, this is the best Korean restaurant here in Manila.. The food is excellent. Our faves are their beef ribs stew (the meat's so tender, you actually don't need to chew, hehe), spicy chicken thighs and chapchae.. There's also complimentary banchan (usually 6 types), house tea (the waiter would continually refill our tea throughout our meal) and dessert (pineapple slices)..
