Every time me, my family and friends visit Katsu Sora, we always get our money’s worth. The food is great, the place is clean and cozy and the staff is really warm and accomodating. We always enjoy the salad bar which is always filled with FRESH veggies and fruits. I have tried almost every item on the menu (except the kiddie set ) and I am very satisfied with the quality of each items in terms of freshness in taste and looks and the serving size is more than enough for me. Though the food is a little pricey, still worth it when we all know that “we pay for quality. “ I can highly recommend this place as I never regretted a single one of my visits
For Me this is the best japanese restaurant i've ever encounter i thought it's not good but i was wrong, when i try it for the 1st time it's great, 400php budget is worth it because of side dishes is unlimited and the rice at the same time. I recommend this for any occassion like Graduation, Birthday, Monthsary, Anniversary, or any kind of event. Excellent Resto ever. My Mom loves it and i'm very glad that i recommend to her
Katsu Sora, another japanese restaurant in the metro serving you like any other japanese restaurant that you find all over manila. What can i say their salmon roll was okey and the chicken tatsutaage was also yummy and pair it with japanese rice, and they also serve you with the traditional hot tea. Must visit. Arigato guazamasu.
I loved it here! Saw somewhere that this restaurant is Santouka’s sister company. This might be true since they are situated beside each other at the Glorietta complex, the area where you’re about to cross from Glorietta to SM Makati.
There were not many people dining in at around 3pm and I was happy about it so I can go back to the salad bar without waiting in line.
Almost all of the sets on the menu comes with the unli salad, soup and rice.
Their Miso Soup was very tasty, not diluted like some Japanese Restaurants serve.
I loved that the salad bar has some fruits, the usual cabbage and some potato and pumpkin salads. They offer lots of choices for dressings too. You just need to get some yourself. The hubby prefers being served his cabbage like at Yabu and Saboten while I loved that I can have my fill of Potato and Egg Salads as I want.
My Coke Zero was served with a mini pitcher which I found very cute.
In terms of the meat.. I loved the Menchi set I ordered. Super good and tasty. My hubby still prefers Yabu tastewise on the Katsu. He ordered the set with pork and cheese.
I personally would’ve given this a 5 but since hubby was not sold on this, I had to give it a 4 instead. But I really do loved it here, will be back with friends instead haha!
I ordered butadon and the meat was very good and tender. I highly recommend it! My brothers ordered different katsu. All katsu orders had to make their own katsu sauce which was a unique experience to me. I had the most pleasant lunch that day
I am so late on my feature on this. A lot of things happened along the way. But I’m ready to take on the world again! Lol. Anyhoo, I had the pleasure of dining at this resto after the Tefal event. Good thing too as I have been eyeing this resto for sometime now. On the outside, their space looked big. But it was pretty small. I was surprised they managed to fit that salad bar (I think that’s what you call it) inside.
I love their chicken with cheese set. Crispy and not oily at all! It comes with all-you-can-eat salad. Their japanese style salad is also delicious with lots of different condiments. Price is really affordable for a big portion meal.
I could never say no to tonkatsu and dinner at Katsu Sora is always a good idea. After all, where else can you grab more than shredded cabbage and more than one option for rice while indulging in crunchy yet succulent pork cutlets? . Hello, Katsu Sora. . Katsu Sora is one of the best spots to get quality pork cutlets and I was glad that the Tefal team treated us there for dinner after the launch of its spherical pot rice cooker.
I love the unlimited salad and the cheesy chicken katsu! The sauce and ground black sesame seeds complement the katsu very well. I was trying to diet but the katsu tempted me to eat too much rice!
Cool concept for a buffet style side bar! I had the ebi tempura set. I thought it would be a small serving but wow, their shrimps were huge. The glaze was sweet and salty. It was a perfect pair for their Japanese mayo.
They refilled sides quite promptly and their fruits were actually ripe and sweet. Just a perfect appetizer or dessert for their fried meal sets.
The restaurant was a little bit cramped, tho. I was expecting a better ambiance like their TriNoma location. That one felt a little more luxurious while this one was kinda claustrophobic.
I came here for Otameshi Tonkatsu Set pero wala sila nito.
No problem, I'll get what's mine next time. I am a big shrimp lover kaya umorder ako ng Ebi Furai Katsu Set. The set comes with miso soup, rice, mayonnaise, and a slice of lime. Additionally, there's a refilling station for rice, fruits, salad, and other noms. Quite generous of them.
So, back to the topic. Damn, those juicy prawns were really big! Besides the refilling station, there's a tray with spices and sauces at the table. I completely ignored my mayo and used some sweet sauce for them instead. If you are into shrimp/prawn, that's your game.
As for the miso soup, it's quite bland on its own (probably like any miso), but if you add some red-looking spicy powder and sesame it turns into a tiny cute bowl of happiness.
On the downside, the service was kind of slow and the room is very crammed, hence -1 star. Quite often there's one to zero waiters there so it takes a while for them to accept your order. That said, I'll probably be back for Otameshi Tonkatsu Set since I've heard that pork is what made them.
P.S. The prawns were so juicy that a lady beside decided to order them too!
I tried salmon katsu and chicken cheese katsu. The taste is quite good, but the rice not like japanese rice.
We can get free salad, rice and soup for unlimited. The place is clean and neat.
Service is good. When we want to try the 15 grains rice, unluckily we can’t order separately (even I want to pay extra), we must to order another special set menu, quite upset about it, but it’s ok if the regulation not allowed it.
