The food was great, but beyond than just that I was surprised with their frappuccino! It isn't your run-of-the-mill frappe you would expect from a big coffee chain. The flavor of the coffee was more pronounced than the actualy flavor I ordered, which was caramel. Which was a good thing considering their coffee is great.

Food shouldn't be this good. But, by heavens, it is.
the taste of Saigon with clean crisp flavors of Indochina.... Particularly like the Cafe Sua Da and the delectable Banh Xheo, and they probably have the best Banh Mis in the city and they make their own baguettes :) highly recommended and will even bring friends over to savor the food.
Tom Nuong - Prawn lovers will love these grilled head-on prawns in sweet and spicy marinate! The flavor of grill is strong and sooo good, you'll taste it in every grind. Though it needs not any dip, it is served with salt, pepper, and lime that you will mix together to make a dip. Surprisingly yummy! This is definitely a fave among Ba Noi's dishes!
Suon Nuong Xa - Finger-smacking Pork Riblets flavored with their special lemongrass fusion, pan-fried and served with soy-chili sauce. I loved every bit of this dish, especially how the feast of flavors "fireworked" inside my mouth.
Bou Lac Lac - This is the house favorite stir-fried beef served with fried basil. I personally didn’t like it much although the beef was tender and juicy — being cooked medium rare. Perfect for your dose of protein!
Pho Bo Kho - Beef Stew Pho served with a lime wedge, herbs, and bean sprouts — reminded me so much of Next Door's Angsho Beef. This bowl of noodles can be a favorite, except, I think it will be better with glass noodles.
Goi Xoai Ca Kho - Fresh shredded green mango, sweet basil, and dried fish tossed in Ba Noi's famous Nuoc Mam dressing which I fell so deep in love with! On top of the main ingredients are toasted garlic and fried shallots that neutralize the flavor. I love Ba Noi's Nuoc Mam dressing but I'll choose Thai’s Catfish Mango Salad over this at any given day.
Goi Cuon - Pork, shrimp, and vermicelli wrapped in rice paper. This Vietnam-style sushi is served with Ba Noi’s special peanut sauce. Make sure you wash your hands before dining, as you will be needing them for Goi Cuon!
Cha Gio - Ba Noi's has become my favorite Vietnamese restaurant starting off with its amazing appetizer, Cha Gio. This is somewhat similar with Pinoy's Lumpiang Shanghai, but heathier. It is made of delicious ground pork, shrimp, taro and black fungus. An order will have six pieces served with fresh greens and Nuoc Mam dipping sauce which I love!
I still prefer the pho at the other restaurant I frequent. Also, I think the sauces at the other restaurant are much better tasting. The food here is okay but not that great.
The food tasted incredible, enjoyed the flavours very much, and the beef was very tender which a lot of places here struggle with. However, the portion sizes for takeaway are tiny. Why use containers that size when you only fill them up a quarter of the way. In comparison to the photos on the menu we were disappointed with the portion given. But we did thoroughly enjoy the food.
A good place to get authentic vietnamese food. The broth of thei pho is tasty as it is. They have a wide range of pho and mains for customers.
Ba Noi’s fried vegetable rolls is a favorite! It’s the best vietnamese spring rolls I’ve tried so far. Their pho noodles and coffee are great too. A gem in Legaspi Village.
I love this place! The place is nice, the service is good, and the food is great.
I've tried Phở from Propaganda and Phở Hòa, and I still prefer Ba Noi's Phở.
It's a close tie to Palawan's Chaolong, Ba Noi's is superior but I still like Palawan's version of Phở (it's a Palaweño thing)

It is sad not everyone is aware of Vietnamese cuisine. I would describe it to a first timer as similar to chinese cuisine but tastes more refreshing as they use more fresh herbs in their dishes. Ba Noi’s is a good starter for those first timer. Try their fried spring rolls and get ready to fall in love!
Quiet place, this the place you can eat quietly and relax while drinking your Vietnamese Coffee..😋 The ambiance is great and the food is delicious. Chef Thank you for cooking great Vietnamese cuisine. 😋😁
Went here on a Sunday. The employees were all sleeping on the table. A little unprofessional. Service aside, the food isn’t bad. Ordered pho bo and the beef quality is pretty good, with decent broth. Not my favorite vietnamese food joint. But its pretty decent.
We were finally able to try this restaurant my partner really wanted to try months ago.
Last Sunday, we had our lunch here. We had Gỏi cuốn (Traditional Vietnamese spring rolls. Pork, shrimp and vermicelli all rolled in rice paper. Served with their famous peanut sauce), Phở Bò Kho (Classic and refined stew. Vietnam's take on French "Pot-Au-Feu), Bò Lúc Lắc (Stir-fried beef with fried basil), Trung Nguyên (Vietnamese Coffee) and Sugarcane Juice.
🔥 Bò Lúc Lắc is my favorite dish of all. The beef was so tender and it was so juicy. It was like we were eating a premium steak because of its texture and taste. Don't miss this!
🔥 Gỏi cuốn is my first spring rolls in Vietnamese bánh tráng and it tasted really good. It's not just delicious, it's also fresh and healthy! The peanut sauce dip complements the spring rolls. Yummm!
🔥 Phở Bò Kho was delicious. It was spicy and flavorful. The beef was so tender and tasty. Big serving too!
🔥Vietnamese Coffee was extra strong. Grab this if you wan't to stay awake the whole day.
🔥Sugarcane is a healthy choice of drink. Though I'm not really fan of this drink. Try it!
Second time to eat in Ba Noi’s but the first time was in their Kapitolyo Branch. We had Pomelo salad and Vietnamese spring rolls which were both tasty and refreshing. I think their Beef Pho had a good amount of noodles and beef. Can be very noisy during dinner as some would have alcohol. Different ambiance from their first branch.
Yummy Bun Cha. But the one i had in Hanoi was dipped with the sauce. Here, it was drizzled. Still yummy! Would have been a five it was presented the way in Hanoi 😁
Service and taste is good. But it is really hard to rate if you experience this food in Vietnam. There is a huge difference. I had never experience a Vietnamese restaurant here in the Philippines that serves lots and lots of different leaves in their Pho and Bun Cha/Bun Ga. but still I enjoyed Ba noi’s food.
I ordered Bun cha gio thit nuong. It's dry rice noodles topped with some vegetables, two sliced fried spring rolls, and two small grilled pork patties. I was a bit disappointed that there's only few spring rolls as per se to the menu.
Overall taste is good! But I'm searching for more flavor hmm maybe the Bun Ga Nuong Xa grilled chicken one is better?
I love this place, it really gives you a feel of Vietnam. I love their fried spring rolls and curry chicken. Their serving is a bit small for the price but it really tastes good. They also have this drip coffee for all the coffee enthusiasts out there.
Love their beef and seafood pho. Hate that they only accept cash and no debit or credit. Perfect for a quick pick-me-up meal when I'm feeling sad at work haha. Overall, great ambience and service.
Better than Pho Hoa, definitely. Totally love their Bo Luc Lac but a little overpriced. Love their pho, spring rolls, and pomelo salad. Would definitely come back!
Legaspi village has been my go to place every Friday after office to diminish the stress from work during the week and normally I’d go to some of the bars in the area to eat and drink with my friends that is until I discovered this place. It was love at first sight 😄. I mean who wouldn’t be enticed with a buy 1 take 1 beer deal and on top of that, a delicious Vietnamese cookery.
Drinking beer along Perea street and eating authentic Vietnamese food whilst hearing the buzzing noise of vehicles stuck in traffic is just like being in the street food scene of Hanoi experience for me. I have never had a bad experience from this place – the food is terrific food as well as the service.

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese restau I've been to. From appetizers to main courses, everything is perfect! Phò 👌👌 and my all time favorite vietnamese spring rolls. What I don't like is the location. Hope they can branch out to some other locations.
Review as of March 2018
A warm bowl of beef noodle soup really hits the spot during the rainy season and Ba Noi has one of the best Pho Bo in Metro Manila! 👌
But don't overlook the mains just because the Pho is amazing, there is more to Vietnamese food than Pho, and Ba Noi serves these just as well as they do with Pho
Here are the dishes I've tried, items with an asterisk (*) are my recommendations:
- Cha Gio
- Pho Bo
- Ga Kho Kari Xa
- Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong*
- Thit Heo Khro Thrung* - this dish is similar to Pinoy Adobo but wonderfully sweeter with the addition of coconut juice
- Bun Ga Nuong Xa / Ga Nuong* - have it with dry noodles or have it Ala carte, I find the Vietnamese grilled chicken close to Pinoy Inasal but much, much more fragrant!
Had lunch here with my officemate. The food looked gorgeous, it approximated the menu photos. I had the chicken pho, and my officemate had the grilled lemongrass chicken over dry noodles. I loved the chicken broth; it was clear but very flavorful. It tasted of chicken, star anise, cinnamon and the other spices they put in it. It was really meaty and sweet. It could have had more greens (they only gave me sprouts to put in). It was also enhanced by the spicy sauce they had tableside. I also had sugarcane juice, and it tasted fresh. I didn't taste my friend's food, but she said it tasted bland, because of the dry noodles. I would eat here again to try the banh xeo and their bread. Too bad they don't have banh mi, which is my staple Viet food.
Was craving for Vietnamese after watching a bunch of videos on youtube. Ba Noi's props to you guys for curing my hankering for Viet flavours!
My standout favourites were the chicken curry, pork riblets and the prawns... these prawns are out of control!! Grilled perfectly with an uber tasty sauce! Go check it out you'll love it Tom Furphy Farah Abu

This is a late review.
I finally had a chance to try this place.
Because we went here for dinner, we would like to have something light. I ordered Goi Cuon, whereas my companion had a Goi Buoi Tom Thit.
The picture in my review is the Goi Cuon, a healthier version of our lumpiang shanghai. Shrimp and green veggies were wrapped in rice paper, instead of meat and lumpia paper. The meal was partnered with spicy peanut sauce, something new and memorable to my palate. I'm not really a vegetable-eater or a fan of any "healthy" diet plans. But I was delighted with the mixture of flavors of Goi Cuon. If I could eat meals like this everyday, I would definitely learn to love veggies better.
Meanwhile, the Goi Buoi Tom Thit (I was unable to take a picture) may seem like a big meal. Filled with vegetables, shrimp, and lobster crackers, the meal was surprisingly light yet satisfying.
I would also like to applaud their coffee. It really packed a punch. 😁
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the city. I love the Cha Gio and the dipping sauce is delicious. The Pho Bo is also a staple for me when I eat here. During weekdays, it gets busy. I ate here during a Sunday and it was nice, not so much people so you get to enjoy the food. I also like the location in Legaspi, you have a tree lined street, definitely chill during weekends.
Vietnamese cuisine is really close to my heart because of the earthy and fresh ingredients being used in preparing the food. I can say that it's the same for Ba Noi.
The experience though when I was there was just okay maybe because the place got a bit hot.
Not at the top of my list for the best Vietnamese food in the better but definitely one of the good ones.
Somewhere in Legazpi Village in the business district of the Philippines situated is a spot for Vietnamese cuisine. After a day's work, we decided to drop by Ba Noi's and taste the following:
Cha Gio - Vietnamese version of our very own fried lumpia. This one is just small in size but is stuffed with pork meat, shrimp, taro, mushroom and is eaten with fresh greens. Also to complete your experience, don't forget to dip it in their customary Nuoc Mam sauce (like fish sauce or patis but has garlic and spices)
Pho Bo - Their version of beef mami but you have to eat it with greens including mint and/or cilantro
Pho Hai San - Hand pulled noodles with seafood. Don't forget, again the greens!
Banh Xeo - This is so much of fresh lumpia but instead of lumpia wrapper, they used crepe. Filled with sauteed pork, shroimp and bean sprouts. Did I forget to tell you that again, this has greens on the side? Also make sure that before you take every bite, immerse this with their traditional Nuoc Cham (almost like Nuoc Mam but has citrus with it)
For the replenishment, we chose to have their Vietnamese Blended Mocha and Trung Nguyen, both iced to balance the warm feeling the soup gave us.
The involvement with Ba Noi's was almost exemplary given that they give you this cozy environment and that the service provided made sure we were comfortable. The place was just a bit hidden and if you are not familiar with the place, it isn't that easy to find.
Ba Noi's is a cosy little place serving traditional Vietnamese food - not so easy to notice but really accessible to the Makati crowd. The decor is simple and service is ok. We ordered the Cha Gio and Goi Cuon (Php 215 each) followed by Vietnamese Fried Rice (Php 90) with Ga Kho Cari Xa (Php 270) and ended with Che Khoai Cau (Php 155). Well, if you are not so well versed with Vietnamese cuisine like me, don't fret at the names because their menu is really descriptive and pictorial! My picks here would be the rice paper rolls (absolutely yum!), Vietnamese rice (a crispy version of dirty rice) and lemongrass chicken. We also tried the citrusy sugarcane juice which was ok.
What to order: Cha Gio, bo luc lac, fried spinach (can't remember the name), and Vietnamese rice.
Ambience: it can go to so cool to so not. Some of the staff are visibly sleeping in the restaurant, though it's not a problem, but really...
Staff/service: you need to do follow ups if the place is full.
Since I got back here, one particular cuisine always comes up when discussing our culinary adventures. Besides our liking for Japanese, Italian, and Middle Eastern food in no particular order, Vietnamese comes out as third in Kat’s list, because of some previous culinary adventures and the reputation of Vietnamese cuisine as being somewhat healthy, at least compared to some Filipino cooking. Thankfully, we finally found some time to try out the food at Ba Noi’s, on Perea Street in Makati.
They don't have Banh Mi.
The interiors are well lit with walls adorned with menu items and black and white photographs. Staff was very attentive including the helpful guard.
I ordered Pho Bo and fried spring rolls. The broth was not the usual clear broth and wasn't as flavorful nor strongly spiced as I would want it but nevertheless was hearty. Beef was plentiful and the noodles were satisfying. However, they weren't as generous on the greens. It only came with wansuy.
The spring rolls were ok. Again, they served it with only lettuce. I had hoped wansuy, basil, or kulantro was also available.
Since they did not have banh mi, I also ordered garlic bread which was a whole baguette sliced in half with a generous spread of butter. The bread was crusty and chewy. It made me really wonder why the sandwiches weren't on the menu because their bread was really good.
Overall, the meal I had was pricey than my usual, and although relatively ok, I feel it will take a while before I indulge in Vietnamese in this shop.
Not placed strategically but can still be accessible by almosy everyone especially working people in Makati CBD. I fell in love with Vietnam coffee served in the traditional way. Slow brew as it may seem, it brings back memory from Saigon.
I also enjoyed Pho Beef Noodles. Perfect for the coming rainy days.
Reasonably good vietnamese cuisine. Sauce on prawns was a little sweet for my taste. Filipino influence ? But I am not expert in vietnamese cuisine so I may be unfair. Atmosphere OK. Temperature of the room a bit warm unlike in most restaurants where it tends to be too cool. Polite staff. Free wifi
Second visit tried chicken dishes, which turned to be quite delicious! Coffee whether iced or hot is also very good. The place has the advantage not to be in s shopping mall unlike most other vietnamese restaurants in Makati. It is therefore much quieter.
I love Vietnamese cuisine!! The vegetarian thingy. Love their food we have the grilled teriyaki chicken on lemon grass (ga nuong) , (goi cuon) spring rolls and the huge egg with sprout (ban xheo).. what do u call that!? Haha. They have big serving. Their resto is easy to find on a corner lot.

Ba noi's spring rolls are hearty, fresh, and filling. The peanut sauce could have more peanut flavour, but still a good dish overall. Their bu luc lac tenderloin steak is also great - melt-in-your-mouth marinated beef cubes goes well with the freshness if the rolls.
Went here Monday evening. Ambiance was ok except that air conditioning seemed to be below par.
I started off with Vietnamese coffee and the shrimp and Pomelo Salad - Goi Buoi Tom Thit. Coffee was ok and the salad was light and healthy with a sweet & chili dressing.
We then had the Beef Stew on Noodles - Bun Bo Kho. Very good dish with tasty and tender beef pieces. The beef was fatty in parts and this added to the taste.
Next came Stir fried Beef with Basil - Bo Luc Lac - again a very tasty dish. Tender and well-marinated beef chunks.
Ca Ri Ga - Chicken Curry - was just ok.
I'm happy that this place is just a few blocks away from my office because I adore their food here.
Must-try's are the Cha Gio ( Deep fried Ground Pork and Shrimp rolls), Goi Cuon (Pork and Shrimp in Vermicelli rolls), Ca Ri Ga (chicken curry), Rau Mung Xao (water spinach in garlic and Vietnamese seasoning) plus all three of their desserts, the Che Khoai Cau (sweet and sticky taro and rice pudding), Banh Da Lon (Pandan cake with coconut cream) and the Ca Phe Lava Cookie Cake.
I'd give them a higher rating, but I do get disappointed when I order the strong and delicious Vietnamese coffee and it's out of stock, they should really not run out of it.
Best VN resto in Manila - Hands down
I eat here everytime I come to Manila
The deep fried cat fish, pamelo salad, pho, oh the fresh rice rolls, the beef cubs...
the coffee, the baguette, the banmi....you name it
I love this place to pieces. It's not too overpowering at all as all the restos in PH do.
Well retained good flavors - I'll say it beats all VN restos outside of VN in the world
Strongly recommended
I don't understand how this place doesn't have glowing ratings. This resto serves fresh, authentic (at least to my taste buds anyway) Viet food at affordable prices. The place was packed on a Thursday during lunchtime, which clearly makes it a local favorite. The menu was varied, service was prompt, and the alfresco vibe was nice. This definitely deserves a higher rating!
This restaurant tops my list among the Vietnamese places in the city. I got imtroduced to this place a few years back by a client who lives on the same Perea Street location, and has since transferred to a bigger spot on the same street. For starters, I recommend the Cha Gio (Ground Pork/Fungus/vegetables/deep fried) which goes well with the dipping sauce. The Bo Luc Lac (no photo here) was well executed..i loved it with a little sprinkle of the salt they had and goes well with rice. The Bun Ga Nuong Cha Gio (Vietnamese sausages,/vegetables/nuts/rice noodle) was a top favorite. Everything just goes well..very heavy too! And the Pho Bo (Beef noodle soup) perks up an otherwise cold evening. Not to be missed too is the Vietnamese Coffee (hot or cold). Strong! But really tasty as well. During the visit though the airconditioning wasn't as cool enough and there were some mosquitoes biting off my leg (LoL) and the toilet could be cleaner. But overall, the food is what makes this a memorable must go to Vietnamese..
We had a team lunch here to bid our trainees goodbye. I was really skeptic of Vietnamese food, so when our team lead told us Ba Noi's I was like in a panic. Anyway, to keep it "safe"
I ordered Pho Ga or their chicked noodle soup. Oh man! It was so good and tasty! I enjoyed that meal. So filling. I regret doubting this resto. Very good!
The resto got filled up pretty quick but the staff got around fast. However, they really have to do something about the bathroom situation. It was dirty and it stank like hell. Please clean!
*Dined July 2016
I hate it that I’m easy to bribe. RESTAURANT YOU HAVE NEVER TRIED BEFORE seems to be the magic phrase. Thus when a friend told me that we’ll be trying this restaurant I haven’t tried before (or maybe I did but it has been years ago and my tummy memory failed me), I begged my mom to allow me to go (yes, I still ask my mom for permission). But, the plan to dine in a Japanese restaurant became… a Vietnamese dinner.
The inner nerd in me usually prevent me from socializing at night thus I lead a home-work-home life (or the level up version home-work-corporate event-home life). But whenever people invite me to try out new restaurants, I AM ALWAYS GAME (as long as it’s near).
Thus, one Thursday night, we went to Makati, near Greenbelt 2 and walked along the dark streets of Legaspi Village. Some of our friends were already waiting inside Вà Nôi’s, a hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese restaurant located at Greenbelt Mansion.
We were greeted by homey Asian interiors and yellow lighting that made it seem like we were in the set of some Asian drama. The place was quite small and could accommodate perhaps max of 40 people.
It took us quite a long time before deciding what to order. Sticking to family style dining, we ordered the following: Pho Bo, Bo Lu Lac, Ga Ro Ti, Ca Tre Chien Gion Mam Gung, Thit Heo Kho Trung, Gol Cuon and Cai Thia Xao Dau Hao.
The Pho Bo (beef noodles) was quite good. You could definitely taste the beef, herbs and spices (and that hint of citrusy minty taste that screams Vietnamese food). If only they served it a bit warmer, it would have been one superb dish.
The Bo Lu Lac, tagged as the house favorite stir-fried spiced beef served with fried basil, stole my foodie heart. I loved how savory and well seasoned it was. At first, I was scared by the word “spiced” as I thought that it was spicy (doi!). It was so succulent and divine! I didn’t hesitate getting the shame piece (the last piece of meat on the plate). It was love at first bite!
The Ga Ro Ti (chicken cooked in caramel sauce and coconut juice) was not as sweet as I thought it was. It had a hint of sweetness from the caramel but I couldn’t taste the coconut juice at all. Perhaps the caramel was too strong? Nonetheless, it was quite good as the chicken was well cooked.
As for the *inhale* Ca Tre Chien Gion Mam Gung (deep fried catfish served with salad greens and Nuoc Cham sauce) *whew*, it was pretty dry. Well, it’s a given that it was fried and all but it was quite bland. It made me miss Simply Thai’s Catfish Salad.
The Thit Heo Kho Trung (pork and boiled egg simmered in coconut juice) was quite delightful. It was my second favorite that night. The sweet and savory taste was very much enjoyable. It was like the Vietnamese take on the Filipino adobo. But what I loved the most about this dish was that the pork was really tender. No need to exert extra effort to slice, bite or even chew. It was that soft.
Now for the Cai Thia Xao Dau Hao (sautéed Bokchoy in oyster sauce)…
It was crunchy, sweet, and cooked just right. It somehow complemented the catfish dish as it made it more savory.
The last one I tried was the Gol Cuon (spring rolls). It was really stuffed with pork, shrimp and vermicelli noodles and each roll were really... fat. It was quite difficult to eat but the peanut sauce was really good.
I’d love to visit this place again and get two orders of the oh-so-good Bo Lu Lac all for myself. Gluttony? I think not.
I wasn't planning to eat here as I was just literally wandering and waiting for an Uber. But I am glad to have found this place.
I ordered the Ca Kho To (catfish in caramel sauce) as it was a chef's recommendation item. It came in fresh from the kitchen. The dish was very filling, and the blend of flavours was just perfect.
The staff were courteous and accommodating even if I came in my school uniform. So plus points there.
The ambiance was authentic, right down to the music. Kudos.
Will definitely recommend. :D
I love this place. What i dont like is the price. If you just want vietnamese food, this is not the place. But if u want vietnamese food with stronger flavors and good ambience, then try this place out. I love the beef noodles and the fresh spring rolls.
It's my first time here in Ba Noi's and I love the food.
Service wasn't that great. It felt that our waiter was grumpy. I would suggest to have their waiters to know what's the best in the menu, so they could make recommendations that will make the experience better.
Good thing that what we order had a symbol beside it in the menu.
Could've been a great experience but I wish service was better.
My friends enjoyed their orders and found themselves fully satisfied. Even if I only ordered dessert for this visit, it was delicious and I would come back for more. The staff is also very hospitable.
Quite possibly the best example of Vietnamese cuisine in the Metro, or at least in Makati. The juicy, salty beef chunk dish is a winner, and the more familiar fare, like spring rolls and pho, is also nicely done. You can taste the higher quality of the ingredients and preparation - there's a subdued elegance to the flavor that you don't detect in lesser establishments.
Service is typical for places like this, casual dining, don't expect friendly or attentive, but that is par for the course in the Manila dining scene.
Vietnamese food never really tasted good like this one! We only had their vietnamese coffee and the fried spring rolls for some trial reasons, and surprisingly it didn't fail us! I'll come back for more! New hideout!

Ba Noi's is a Vietnamese restaurant that I consider my comfort food.
1. Pho Ga (Chicken Noodles) - It is my favorite! It's a huge serving of rice noodles, chicken strips, and herbs in delicious broth that I consider as the best part of this dish! For toppings. there are bean sprouts and mint leaves. I always put them ALL! This soup is very healthy and filling at the same time. You may put chili sauce and other condiments for more flavor. Just watch out because Vietnamese spices are somehow similar to Thai spices.
2. Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls) - Three rolls of pork, shrimp, and vermicelli wrapped in rice paper. I'm not a huge fan of this dish. The peanut sauce was overpowering. I've tasted other spring rolls better than this.
3. Bun Ga Nuong Xa - Dry rice noodles with grilled lemongrass chicken. It also has lettuce and other veggies. I liked it. There's choice to put spicy soy sauce but I only placed a little because it tasted salty.
4. Hot Drip Coffee - Nothing beats Vietnamese drip coffee! If you're a first-timer, basically you just wait for the coffee extract to drip into the cup (they call it "sweating" the cup). Once nothing drips anymore, you may put condensed milk already.
* For cold coffee, first you let the hot coffee drip, pour it into the glass with ice, then put condensed milk. Mix it a little for a superb taste.
Ba Noi's coffee tasted strong and flavorful. It was only a small serving and how I wish I had more!
The restaurant's interior doesn't look Vietnamese to me though. It looks a bit dull. The chairs are made up of wood and my butt aches after long sitting.
The food is excellent, authentic vietnamese flavors. The service was slow and lazy. The waitress was bored and wasn't interested in providing good service. We waited 40 mins for dessert, and finally had to ask for it. Instead of two desserts ordered, only one came out. So great food, but the service and attitude lets it down.
If you're missing Vietnam you can come here. I came here with my closest friends and we enjoyed our time. They serve good Pho and the best Vietnamese coffee. Definitely a must try! 👍
One place I go to on a regular basis is the Vietnamese restaurant called Ba Noi's. One reason is that it's location is in close proximity to my office. Another reason is the excellent food which has been consistent over the long period of time that I've been visiting there. For me Ba Noi's has set the standard locally for what great Vietnamese cuisine is about.
Oftentimes I'd be with work mates when I eat there and we would have our staple orders.
We'd always start with a traditional Baguette. This is served hot from the oven. Bread that's crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Spread some butter over it which melts upon contact with the hot bread just simply gets your appetite on a good start.
Appetizers would be a choice between fried or fresh spring rolls. Any which way is good. This time around we got the Cha Gio (pork & shrimp spring roll). Fried spring rolls which you wrap in fresh greens and dip in traditional Nuoc Nam sauce before you take a hearty bite.
For my main entree I got the Pho Bo Kho which is beef stew noodle soup. I like this for being really tasty and filling compared to just plain beef or chicken noodles. My work mate got Bun Ca Ri Ga which is chicken curry over dry rice noodles. Both items we highly recommend.
For dessert, I always look forward to ordering Banh Da Lon which I only find at Ba Noi's. It is hot pandan cake filled with mung bean and topped with coconut custard-like sauce. It's sticky and chewy much like our local 'Kakanin' but the pandan gives it its distinct taste.
Capping off every visit to Ba Noi's is an order of the traditional Vietnamese Coffee which you can choose to be served hot or over ice. Really strong coffee which you sweeten with condensed milk . They also have coffee dessert concoctions like the Iced Vietnamese Blended Mocha which is quite a good alternative as it can be both drink & dessert.
Their fresh spring rolls are very very good ( i think its named gui cuon in the menu). For me, their pho is slightly tastier than pho hoa's but not by much. Its their caramelized catfish menu that really surprised me. So yummy! The branch in legaspi village, makati is a bit small and can only accomodate so much. Price is affordable but the menu is quite limited.
Grab a bottle of beer here with my friends. Enjoying the below zero beer promo for only 60 pesos - 2 bottles of below zero beer. Although the food here was so expensive, you can order an kropek for your pulutan. :) i think that's 60 pesos. :) perfect place now because its already rainy season. :)
The pho was pretty delicious. Perfect food for the rainy season. The servings are pretty large as well. Will try the other food on the menu in my next visit.
This is the place my colleagues and I love going to after daily work. They have a very cheap promo for their local beers during dinner time. They are offering Beer Below Zero here. The beers are really cold! You can see it freezing outside. Imagine drinking for only 60 pesos, you already have two local beers below zero. Nothing can get more better than that! Best place to burn clock during rush hour while waiting for the traffic to subside. Cheers!
Since I do not have any point of comparison, I cannot really say that it's the real deal or it's as authentic as it can get. What I can vouch for, however, is that the food is great! Everything tastes fresh. They're flavorful yet they don't overwhelm your taste buds (definitely no bad breath after!). The serving's very generous too. A single order can actually be shared by 3 people, so I highly suggest group ordering.
Must-try dishes are the spring roll and fried tofu fillet!
Legit Vietnamese food. Best Pho Bo Kho for me. Noodles are perfect. Can't wait to try all their other dishes. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back.
Me and my wife love their spring rolls seeved with fresh lettuce. We wrap the spring roll inside the lettuce then dip it on the vinegrette sauce. Perfect! Of course we always eat the rice niodle soup along with the spring roll. It's truly a delight when we dine at this place. We recommend this place if you are looking for authentic vietnamese cuisine. Truly authentic as ee often see vietnamese eating here.
Our favourite after office venue! The words "2 bottles!" "below zero time!" the affordable "kropek" buy 1 take 1 beer! those words reminds of Ba Noi's. However, Ba Noi's is not about liquior, we also tried "chaio" yes its expensive but the taste is good plus the dip of sweet and spicy sauce. :) :) #justsaying

Ba Noi's serves the usual Vietnamese fare, in the most simplistic way but pays tribute very well to the original dishes.
Recommended: the Vietnamese Baguette/ Bahn mi and the Signature Pho Bo
What I tried:
Pho Bo - light and savory at the same time, Ba Noi's interpretation of the classic beef rice noodle is actually good. If only there were more noodles.
Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong - Dry noodle with spring rolls and pork patties. The sauce was very little so it was literally a really dry noodle dish. I did like the spring rolls though.
Pho Hai San - The seafood version of the rice noodle soup is very bland. I was looking for that slightly fishy taste, but it was really absent.
Bahn Mi (Buttered) - my favorite thing in the whole restaurant is this bread, crispy, and worth it for just Php 40! I love having it with the Vietnamese drip coffee.
Price wise, I find Pho Hoa gives better value for money. The serving here is just enough for a person, but does not really fill up a person's belly.
Ba Noi's is so easily accessible to my office; thus my colleagues and I have eaten here a hundred times. Yet, I never managed to take photos and review their classic pho and spring rolls. Sorry!
Anyhow, met up with one of my good friends from Cheerleading (I know! That was years ago) here to grab some noodles and to avail of their buy-one-take-one beers. I ordered the Pho Bo and he had the Pho Bac. I always, always love how refreshing and light their noodles are! Its truly chewy and savory.. Almost similar to authentic vietnamese noodles in Saigon!
I lived in Saigon by the way, a few years back, that's why I sometimes get these cravings for spring veggies and tangy broths. Ba Noi's is actually the closest (in terms of taste) to the real thing, by far!
First time to try this dish at Ba Noi's and it's good ? Beef is tender & the fried basil is perfect with it ? Dipped with salt & pepper with lime mixture (not in photo).
This is my new (or only) favorite asian resto! I am not really a fan of asian cuisines cause I'm a pizza-pasta-burger person but I really enjoyed everything here! :) all dishes were bursting with good flavors! I love the special sauce that they serve with every meal. Would recommend the green mango appetizer (only if you love green mangoes) and the rice noodle with spring rolls and grilled pork for those who would try it here the first time.

The food was really good. However, I suggest that you go at an earlier time because service can be crappy when they are about to close. They were hurrying their customers to close their bills and forgetting side orders. You have to continuously follow up for it.

A friend asked me several weeks ago if I've already eaten at Ba Noi's, and I was like, "There's a Vietnamese restaurant that I haven't tried in Makati?!" So off I went with my love / best foodie buddy to find out what the resto has to offer. ?
We started with an order each of PLAIN BAGUETTE for P30/piece. OMG!!! It was soooo good. I've stayed in Vietnam for several days with a daily breakfast of unlimited baguette & coffee, and I tell you, Ba Noi's version is legit! It's super crunchy on the outside yet the inside is so soft, chewy & fragrant. The bread is also served with spreads of butter & liver pate.
Next were the CHA GIO fried rolls. This had ground pork, shrimp, taro & black fungus wrapped and deep fried, and served with crisp lettuce & basil plus the traditional Nước Mắm dipping sauce. The rolls are very juicy, and the presence of taro & mushroom balanced the meaty taste of pork. I emphasized on the pork since it was the more prominent flavor compared to the shrimp. It's eaten by getting a fried roll, and rolling it in lettuce & basil. Wait..... what?! That's actually a roll in a roll. Neat huh? ?
Our last order was the BUN CA RI GA. I am never ordering the dry noodles of Pho Hoa after having eaten this. Ba Noi's take is a way better version with a more generous serving of chicken, fresh rice noodles, lots of vegetables & CURRY! ? Technically this isn't really dry 'cause you'll discover that about 1/4 of the bowl has curry (which I find really authentic; the curry class our family attended in Battambang helped!).
UPDATE as of 04/12/15: I recently went back to try their Iced Afternoon Blend drip coffee from their Specialty Blends line. This is the mildest out of the three available blends so I was able to sleep before 12 midnight after consuming this at 7 p.m. haha. It comes with evaporated milk on the side, and I loved how you can be the one to mix your own black coffee & milk over a pile of ice so you can control the sweetness of the drink.
P.S. They have a new & upgraded menu that looks really classy! Too bad I forgot to take photos of it 'cause I was too busy enjoying my coffee! ?

Dropped by Ba Noi's to try their Beer Below Zero promo which is buy 1 take 1 for 70php. This is for a limited time every day. The ones I was with (who did the drinking) were not disappointed. When it comes to the food, we enjoyed the curry chicken, sautéed mixed vegetables, and the spring rolls. Definitely the spring rolls! It's accessible and the ambiance is relaxing. Definitely worth another visit.
The way to go fresh and healthy is to get their fresh spring rolls. This consisted of pork, shrimp, lettuce, and vermicelli noodles wrapped in rice paper. It is served with very delicious peanut sauce. Though I think they overstuffed it with vermicelli noodles, it was still nice because the sauce was really good. I also liked the fact that we all had individual portions of our sauces and not just one big dipping bowl. And yes, this was very fresh, and a good way to start one’s Vietnamese cuisine journey.
Not a fan of catfish but their Ca Kho To was okay. This was fried and simmered in caramel sauce. I was expecting it to be sweet but it was surprisingly not. It had a good and smooth texture that further enhanced the flavor of the fish.
Vietnam’s version of crepe, Banh Xeo, had generous amount of bean sprouts, and a couple of pork strips and shrimp. On its own, it has an interesting flavor. The bean sprouts still had that crunchy quality to it. Adding the sauce does make this savory.
I loved their Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong! I poured all the sauce in, mixed everything, took a bite, and was immensely satisfied. This had some fried spring rolls, grilled pork, lettuce, carrots, rice noodles, and peanut bits. I liked how fresh and tasty this dish was. It was very filling too.
Vietnamese coffee should be mandatory when you’re in a Vietnamese restaurant. Okay, that’s just my rule but of course I had to try their coffee here. I always find it amusing to see the whole process come to life. My friend got their iced coffee but the process is the same. You’re served with the mug topped with the coffee filter, condensed milk, and glass with ice.
We were curious as to what goes on inside the filter. Yeah, I was a tad disappointed to see minimal action there. It actually looks like tea. I’m not sure if our eyes were tricking us at that time but the ground coffee was very few. Had to take a sip of this. And it was strong! This robusta coffee brew was very bitter. No wonder condensed milk is being added. After mixing in the condensed milk, transfer the mixture in the glass with ice and tada! You have iced Vietnamese coffee. I had their hot version. Tasted the same.
Even if you’re full, always have room for dessert. Well, I just had to try their Pandan Cake. And it was goooooddd! This was served warm with generous amount of coconut milk, and sprinkled with white sesame seeds. I liked how the sesame seeds added that roasty flavor in the cake. And the coconut milk added the smooth and creamy flavor in. When dining here, definitely make room for this.
One of my favorite Makati restaurants. The food is always delicious: the greens always fresh, the spring rolls perfectly crisp and juicy, the dipping sauces that lovely mix of tart and sweet. While i will never neglect to order the fried spring rolls, i also love the richness of the catfish in caramel sauce. The service is always courteous and quick; never had to wait more than a few minutes for a dish. I've even ordered from them via city delivery and was not disappointed. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for yummy vietnamese food served fast and fresh.
My favorite place to look for Pho and Vietnamese Coffee although my favorite drink is their ice sugar cane. I hope you guys can provide various type of vietnamese coffee, not only number 5. Just Love the ambience.

Very good. Almost as good as over there. Definitely comebackable.
The Phos are definitely good.
Service is good and prompt. The place could use a little music and touch up to improve the ambience.
We had Cha Gio, Goi Cuon, Pho Bo, Banh Xeo and Ga Nuong! Highlight is the peanut sauce of the Goi Cuon dish!
They also have the buy 1 get 1 beer-below-zero from 5-8PM. Love love love!
One of the older Vietnamese restos opearating in the city. It's nice to discover that their food quality has been holding up ever since. We stuck to their items marked as bestsellers and we weren't disappointed. While I do not recall everything we ordered, I do recall that there was not a single dish which we did not like. However, at P600/pax, it is no longer your daily, affordable Vietnamese restaurant which comes top of mind.
Ba Nois became a frequent OT hangout for me and my workmates, when we needed a full stomach and really good food to help us survive another all-nighter in the office. Brought my boyfriend and my sister as well here a few times so you know this is really a recommend!
Their pho tastes really authentic, and the sweet spicy shrimp (i cant remember the name sorry) tastes delish! Sometimes I just order a bowl of their vietnamese rice and their sauteed vegetables and I'm good to go :) But their must-try is their vietnamese rolls and the vietnamese coffee! Nothing gets me through my work faster than that vietnamese coffee ❤️
Nice blend of Vietnamese food, made me recall the days I was in Vietnam. Restaurant staffs are friendly. Only dish missing here is Hotpot.
I liked the restaurant food and location.
Ba Noi's. Opted not to order anything Phò. Standouts were the fried lumpia that I wrapped with fresh lettuce and basil (I love basil even when mixed in cocktails) and the bestseller - stir-fried beef that was really tender juicy, yup better than TJ hotdogs :D Skip the pomelo salad as the salad looked more lethargic than I was that night. Yes, definitely will visit again to try other dishes but I will still start with Cha Gio.
I feel like tis placed has greatly modernized the Vietnamese cuisine. I don't normally like Viet food since it has always seemed bland and too plain for me (i guess that's how it really is). Upon seeing their menu, I said to myself "Okay, this is your normal Vietnamese restaurant so I think I'll be getting the normal beef noodle soup and the prawn wraps.". When the food arrived, I was so surprised that this place had so much more to offer. All their stir-fried food were marvelous and their noodles has a good combination of flavor and aroma while still sticking to the Vietnamese food culture which is never overpowering and too rich. Overall, I rate this place as a surprisingly delish place to dine in during those times when you just want to eat something that tastes familiar and makes you feel that you're home. :)
