This is a true representation of pinoy comfort food. This brand and branch never failed us yet. Ever since we first visited, we held dinner with friends, team mtgs, Xmas lunches here because of their food. There are times we will not choose to dine here when they don’t have bulalo. The usual order and must try are bulalo, kare kare, sisig, tofu sisig, lechon kawali. Our rice record? 27 cups for 12pax! Warning, if you’re on a diet, you won’t be able to stop yourself from enjoying their food without rice. Ganun ka sarap ang food nila. A true embodiment of comfort.
This is not the first time we decide to have our dinner here because of the quality of their food. Though this time, because it is Christmas season we waited approx 30mins to be seated and that's very sad.
Their ambiance improved compared to last time that we went here (last year pa ata ung huli punta natin prior to this day). Food still tastes the same and the service also went up to the nxt level. Amg dami tao the day we had our dinner here pero they attended to our request in a timely manner 😊
Mangan will still be one of our go-to restaurants everytime we're having a family day.
Service - 5
Food - 5
Ambiance - 4.5 (ang crowded pag madami tao dahil ung interval ng tables is super lapit)
Price- 5 -- Very reasonable ang presyo
Nice place and ambience but above everything else the food tastes great.
I don't know how food tastes like in Pampanga or how authentic their food is. What I know is their food is good.
Everything is good except for the part of the floor that is extra slippery. Rating could be higher if I have more food and the slippery floor can be resolved
Super solve. Sorry for the pic. I really love their sizzling chicken super yummy ng gravy sauce. Worth the price. Will definately back here.
Mangan always hit the spot! I was craving for sinigang na hipon and this was the nearest one from my office that serves really delicious sinigang na hipon. The sisig rice was also very filling. The pusit in olive oil was also delicious. Service is good as always.
Been wanting to try this restaurant and have been checking out their menu. Finally, on my 1st ever visit, we ordered:
Sisig ni Mely - I like it that it was not served on a sizzling plate because I hate it when I have to leave a restaurant smelling like the food I ate. Sisig ni Mely tastes good. Not oily and still “malaman”. Worth trying.
Tortang Talong ning Kapampangan - this one is not the usual tortang talong because the ground pork which they used as “sahog” has potatoes in it. A bit salty for my taste, though. But the eggplant really tasted roasted prior to being made a torta. Served with ketchup. (I just don’t like the fact that my ketchup was served on a bowl that was a bit still wet fresh from dishwashing. Ugh! Hope they wiped the bowl first before pouring ketchup.)
Suam sa Tahong at Halaan - this one tastes different from the usual halaan soup mom cooks at home. It has the usual ginger slices, a piece of siling haba, tanglad (lemon grass) and whole peppercorns. Served also with slices of corn on cob. Also a bit salty for my taste. But the soup was served piping hot, so this aspect got me, though.
Mais con Yelo - very few mais. Don’t try this one.
Bottomless Brewed Iced Tea - sulit! Does not taste like the ready to drink varieties.
Over-all - will definitely come back to taste the Crispy Pata Demonyo 👹👹👹
Great food, taste homey, serving is small, place is relatively ok.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Cons: Service is not that good ⭐️⭐️, considering high volume of customers they must be trained enough to serve better.
Here are my thoughts on my recent experience at the Glorietta 2 Branch:
Adequate serving ✔
More budget-friendly than its competitors 💰
Filipino Cuisine 🇵🇭
Accommodating servers 🙋♀️
*I requested if it will be possible to serve the Pinakbet with shrimp paste just on the side (due to allergies) and yes, they granted my request. That satisfied my cravings!*
Hope the above helps. Worth a try! I will definitely go back and try on their Original Crispy Pata.
First time to dine in this resto and in this branch, I came here with my workmates to have lunch, my experience is so good, food is great! i enjoyed their ginataang kalabasa and sitaw.
I will surely recommend and go back here.
Plus! the staffs were so accomodating.
Mangan is a Filipino restaurant that serves classic selection of Filipino Dishes. It was lunch time when we went to this restaurant to satisfy our Filipino dish cravings. We opted to order Lengua with Mushroom, Crispy Pork Adobo and Adobong Pusit.
My favorite was the Adobong Pusit which is served in a sizzling plate. The dishes were delicious and tasty. 👌
We also ordered a Special Halo-Halo. And to our shock there was really nothing special with it. My sister and I were not happy about this because we were expecting that the dessert we ordered will satisfy us more. Instead, it disappointed us.
Our concern is that their serving size is a bit small and the staff that time were really slow in serving. The coffee that my sister asked was served after the dishes were served. She told the waiter to serve the coffee first.
We will definitely be back due to the delicious meals but not to this branch. 😑
Serves traditional Kapampangan home-cooked meals.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Mangan's dinuguan with puto and crispy tadiang. ⭐⭐⭐ for the service and ambiance.

I always believe that "It all comes back to the basics. Serve customers the best-tasting food at a good value in a clean, comfortable restaurant, and they'll keep coming back." - Dave Thomas ✔️💯
Mangan restaurant met all my expectations! Super thumbs up for all them! 👌🏻👍🏻
Aside of being friendly and very accomodating, they are happy to serve with their customers.
Their food are sumptuous and I really loved their Tapa and alige rice.
The place is inviting and super clean. But hope they will fix their comfort room to avoid hassle with their customers.
Over all 5 stars for all them! Keep it up guys! 🙌🏻✨

Mangan is a simple Filipino restaurant, that offers a classic menu of Filipino favorites. They make sure that everything on the menu is familiar and at the same time, interesting to everyone. Despite the simplicity of the menu, the offerings were both good and exciting to try! Prices for each dish were not bad too, being the reason why my family and I decided to eat here at the first place.
It was lunch time and my family and I decided to try out Mangan to satisfy our budget- friendly Filipino food cravings.
The place was fairly big. It had modern interiors and the atmosphere was cold yet comfortable. It felt like the perfect place to have a wonderful and satisfying lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, just how it should be. They were quick in offering us a glass of water and they were also helpful in recommending their best sellers which made it easier for us to order. After awhile of browsing through the menu, we were ready to order. We chose the classic yet interesting dishes just to be sure. In around 15-20 minutes, our food has arrived.
We had the following:
➿ Pinakbet with Lechon Kawali ➿ (220 php)
*Good for 2 people
- You could tell that the veggies use were fresh since they still had a good crunch to it. The Lechon Kawali on top was just okay, nothing extraordinary. It was also overcooked, making it really tough and chewy.
➿ Sisig ni Mely ➿ (260 php)
* Good for 2 people
- Tastes just like ordinary Sisig. Flavor was good but I find this dish too oily.
➿ Lengua Caldereta ➿( 350 php)
*Good for 2 people
- I'm honestly not a big fan of lengua but, this dish was heavenly good! The lengua is seared well, giving it a crisp exterior and a soft and moist interior. The dark red tomato sauce that went along with the lengua was also really enjoyable. It was sweet and tangy, just how I like it. This was my favorite dish among the others.
➿ Gatang Pla Pla ➿ (240 php)
* Good for 1
- the fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was seasoned nicely. You can really taste the ginger that was infused into the coconut cream sauce.
➿Plain Rice➿ (40 php)
Overall, Mangan didn't fail to dissapoint me. I wouldn't say the food here are the best I've had but it's good enough for what you pay for. I guess I would give this place a second go if I crave for Filipino comfort food with a tight budget.
Mangan offers variety of Filipino dishes from appetizers, main dishes and afternoon snacks. Tried their Sinigang na Hipon, Laing and Grilled Bangus. It was okay. The place was also fine. Many Filipino people eat there for dinner. They offer reasonable prices as well.
Mangan Restaurant from the name itself is inviting Filipinos to savor traditional and home cooked Kapampangan cuisine in the metro.
Mangan Restaurant has a contemporary interior design that adapts to the current mainstream. Mangan wants each of their guest to feel the elegance of present-day restaurants while dining traditional home cooked Filipinos comfort food.
Mangan serves a la carte, platter and set menu.
MUST TRY DISHES
Pansit Pusit is not the typical pansit that you grow up with. It is a squid ink pasta with chunks of squid and al dented noodles.
Kare-Kare has fresh “pechay” or Chinese cabbage, sliced eggplant, green beans, “tuwalya ng baka” or tripe, tender beef and rich peanut butter sauce.
Pinakbet with lechon kawali has sliced “ampalaya” or bitter melon, eggplant, green beans, okra and squash in shrimp paste sauce and topped with lechon kawali.
Sisig ni Mely or Pork Sisig, on the other hand, incorporate the rich kapampangan flavors of pork sisig.
Mangan also offers Crispy Pata in three ways- Crispy Pata, Patang Demonyo and Prichon Pata.
Bibingka is a rice cake topped with white cheese and slices of salted eggs. It is served with grated coconut meat that can be eaten along with the rice cake.
Puto Bumbong is served with butter, brown sugar and grated coconut meat. Unlike the usual Puto Bumbong that we grew up with, Mangan’s Puto Bumbong is chewy.

Living in a country which welcomes anything has its perks. We have myriad of choices to eat and experience. On the flip side though, since we get to experience much of the world, we tend to forget to go back to our own roots. This is especially true when it comes to food since there are a lot of different restaurants you get to try. We usually then don’t pay attention to our very own Filipino restaurants.
We had Crispy Pata, Bulalo, Pork Sisig and Kare-Kare (oxtail cooked in peanut sauce) . Mangan prepares the kare-kare in the same old-fashioned way as Cabalen.
Mangan lets you enjoy its crispy pata three ways – Prichon Pata, Patang Demonyo and Original Crispy Pata and I got to taste all three.
The Crispy Pata variants were cooked to perfection. All are seasoned well, making it tasty all over. And they serve it in generous portions. I really like Prichon Pata. It was crispy all over. I love the skin and its flavorful liver sauce.
Patang Demonyo is made hot using local chillies. The heat factor was enough to burn my tongue. I tasted its spiciness even under the skin.
For desserts, we had Bibingka and Puto Bumbong. These are types of kakanin (rice desserts) named after their method of cooking. Bibingka means baked. Bibingka is a rice cake made from galapong (glutinuos rice), baked in a special clay pot, lined with a piece of banana leaf. The heat coming from live coals on top and underneath the baking pan cooks it evenly. It is topped with slices of kesong puti (white cheese) and itlog na maalat (salted duck eggs).
Puto Bumbong is steamed glutinous rice (puto) cooked in bamboo (bumbong). The original recipe uses a combination of malagkit (sweet rice) and ube (purple yamrecOnce done, it is spread with butter, sprinkled with muscovado sugar (refined brown sugar) and niyog (grated coconut). I so love these delicacies!
Mangan is the place to go for great Kapampangan and traditional Filipino food that delights!
Before i thought this restaurant was like chinese something or what. But when i checked their menu, its a Filipino resto! I was hesitant to try but my boyfriend insisted to eat here. We ordered pinakbet and beef tapa and it's actually great! The setting is good, staffs are good and food quality is great!
Mangan is certainly a good place to try Kapampangan food. I loved their take on Pancit Pusit with the squid ink subtly complements the dish while the thin slices of baby Kamias incorporates the sourness & chicharon bits gives off some salty kick to the Pancit. Their Bibingka is also a winner. With keep de bola and oily salted eggs on top, yoy could never go wrong ordering it. Puto Bumbong is also nice, not too sweet muscovado sugar and a small slice of margarine makes you pine for Christmas. Not to be left out would be their Pancit Puti. Flavorful without much ingredients, just noodles cooked in North, some chicken strips and spring onions and garlic. It keeps you coming back for more. Their Crispy Pata and sisig are also best selling winners.
Mangan Restaurant serves traditional Filipino cuisine. No frill and fancy fushion twists that every restaurant seems to be doing these days. They transferred from Glorietta 5 to their current location at Glorietta 2 on the second level overlooking the activity center. The space is adorned in turquiose colored walls filled with wood ornaments and mirrors. Since its the nearing Christmas they have parols hanging as part of the decor.
We arrived during lunch hour, there was no proper queue. One must signal and make sure the servers see you by the door. After a quick clean up we opted by the coach area since we have two kids in tow. Service was quick. We ordered what the kids would like which is the Sinigang na Babi and Bistig Bangus Belly. And for us, the Lagat Ampalaya, which is ginisang ampalaya with minced pork and scrambled eggs. Food is simple. Delicious and unpretentious. The Sinigang was made sour by the sampaloc and thickened by the gabi. The dish was just right. The serving was enough for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids. The bangus was equally good but the serving was very small. 4 small cuts with barely any belly in it. The ampalaya reminds me of my Mom's sauteed ampalaya dish.
For dessert we had their Bibingka with Salted Egg. By far, the best tasting Bibingka from a restaurant according to my Mom. Reminds her of Ferino's. The texture of the bibingka is reminiscent of those sold during the 80's. The egg and queso de bola added more flavor to the soft rice cake.
Senior cards honored. Recommended.
Spent the whole day with the in laws to celebrate the nieces' moving up day/graduation. We had errands in Glorietta and decided to have early dinner at Mangan before anything else.
On the table
🔹Pinakbet - extremely good. I kept on eating the sauce and bagoong bits. It tasted so different, as if it were grilled. There was a certain smokiness to the dish.
🔹Fried Tawilis - sad looking and they were sort of disintegrating when we were taking them off the stick. The in laws loved the burong mangga that were served with the fish.
🔹Crispy Pata - nothing special. It was hard to chew and the sauce was just ok. It wasn't worth the hefty price tag.
🔹Okoy - crunchy and sweet. Pouring vinegar over it made it better. Wish the shrimps didn't have shells anymore.
🔹Sinigang na Hipon sa Camias - the shrimps were great. Not a fan of the sourness, the flavor and the after taste of the broth.
🔹Tinapa Rice - our fave for the night. I could eat this even without ulam. Well that and Pinakbet Sauce hahaha. it was very smoky and the tinapa flavor was really there.
🔹Puto Bumbong - ordered this because the little girl wanted some. It was very sticky and challenging to cut. The little girl ate most of the sugar. The in laws said this had a kakanin feel.
They could improve on their service. The utensils weren't complete when we were seated. We asked for dessert plates and extra utensils twice but they arrived when we were almost done with the puto bumbong.
I would love to come back for the Tinapa Rice and Pinakbet!
I was craving for some Filipino merienda when I saw Mangan's snack sets. I dined here alone and ordered merienda set which consisted of Arrozcaldo, Puto Bungbong, Okoy and Bibingka. The merienda set was very tasty with the right amount of saltiness that I am expecting. I skipped the Puto Bungbong because it tasted like it was going bad already.
One of the restaurants in Glorietta's new wing that's always full whenever I get a chance to pass by. Luckily on a Tuesday night, there were only a few tables occupied and we were immediately escorted by the accommodating servers to our table.
The food was okay - typical Filipino cuisine and something that you can cook at home or something that will make you remember your visits at your grandma's house. What I liked about this place is the general look and feel of the restaurant - it's very unrefined and yet, it's not something that you can see every single day of your life. It will make you feel relaxed and calm; just make sure to get the couch seats!
I was with my boyfriend on this visit so we only ordered their Bangus Belly in Tausi Sauce and Tofu Sisig. The latter was really a bang for one's buck! For a price of P100, the serving is already good for two.
Craving for Filipino dishes so we went to Mangan for lunch. We arrived just in time before the resto became packed, with people already lined up to wait for tables. I really enjoyed our meal!
Gatang Sigarilyas - Winged Beans sautéed in coconut milk and shrimp paste.
Crispy Tadyang - Crispy beef ribs. Paired with tomato, vinegar and burong mangga (pickled mango). Good ribs, though it seemed a little pricey for the serving size. Loved the burong mangga!
Fried Tawilis - very crispy! Fried Freshwater Sardines paired with tomato, vinegar and burong mangga. Loved this dish!
Bagoong Rice - serving size good for 2-3 persons. Rice sautéed with shrimp paste and topped with green mango.
Sampler (2 Bibingka and Puto Bumbong) - 2 mini rice cakes with goat cheese/quezo de bola and red egg and mini violet rice cake served with shredded dried coconut and muscovado sugar. Just right to satisfy your craving for these delicacies but I've had better. 😊
The Kapampangans are well known for their cooking. So it is not surprising that there is a lot of Kapampangan restaurant in the province and as well as in the Metro. Their food options ranges from a variety of dishes from viands up to dessert. Most of us may also be familiar of the word "Mangan" which means "Kumain" or "To Eat".
I was able to check out Mangan Restaurant in Glorietta with my cousins. SInce she is flying out of the Philippines we decided to have a Filipino lunch. We ordered their Tofu Sisig, Pinakbet, Crispy Pata, Inihaw na Liempo, Bistig Bangus Belly and their Seafood Pansit Luglog. Most of the food were good, pricing is reasonable while service needed a bit of upgrade.
Ambiance ✔️ (Good)
Service ✔️ (Good)
Affordable Price ✔️
Food ✔️ (Nothing Special)
Fantastic food selection. I like that they have a healthy options in their menu. Their boiled veggies and leaves come with four sauces. The Tinapa Rice comes with a diced tomatoes and itlog na maalat. One of the best and price-worthy restaurants here in Glorietta.
If you are craving for Kapampangan food you can try Mangan. Interiors are nice, China and silverwares are good quality.
Sisig is delicious, a must have. It's not the crispy type but that's okay. This is an authentic sisig. No mayonnaise to make it creamy. I don't like sisig with mayo ;)
Kare-kare is also good. A bit peanutty though. Serving portion is acceptable.
Pakbet made with fresh veggies. This is yummy.
Pritong hito is ok too. The buro is not proportion to the fish' size. It's in a tiny saucedish. I think it's just a tablespoon. Speaking of buro, I've had better tasting buro than what they have. I hope they change it.
Since we dined in the afternoon we also order their merienda plate. The plates comes with mini bibingka, mini putobungbung, okoy and tidtad. Tidtad is a dinuguan version in Pampanga. This is a good treat and affordable. The bibingka, PBB and okoy tastes good. Their tidtad is delicious. Really cooked the kapampangan way. Kulang lang is puto! This is served with iced tea. I'm very delighted with the merienda plate. I didn't expect that it will ba that delicious, satisfying and fulfilling. Value for money.
By the way, I wish they will improve their dining staff. Had to followup items that I requested. Of course it becomes disappointing especially when there are few diners at that time. Also please serve rice HOT. :)
Thank you.

happy and satisfied to their services, :) they have a good food that really Pinoy na pinoy :) and the ambiance was so relaxing :") hope they add extra presentation to their food :) pra wow n tlga :) but over all Ok nmn :)
i really like their foods here... the best
Everything was good. the services and foods :) except that of our ice tea was a little bit delayed but its ok :) just keep up the good work
The first thing to note is that the beautiful interior of the restaurant. The inside clearly reflected the culture and type of cuisine that they were serving. The food was appropriately priced and delicious. The servers were alright. They were accommodating but not overly attendant to our needs.
A very comprehensive platter, this sampler dish combines four favorite Filipino merienda (snacks)... Lelot balatong (ginataang munggo), okoy, puto bumbong with muscovado sugar, and bibingka with salted egg. The lelot balatong is the best among all four, capturing the "provincial" Capampangan taste characteristic of Mangan dishes.
the place was good.. The food was also good but kindly add some attractive presentation. I give 4 for good customer services. thank yah mangan
Had a late lunch in mangan, glorietta last weekend with my partner and mom. I knew my mom would love kare-kare so we pushed to mangan. Too late to realized that our choice was perfect since my mom's kapampangan; didnt have the idea that mangan is a kapampangan term.
As i flipped through the menu, we had a small kapampangan dialect lesson as some of the menu entries were in kapampangan (like babi means baboy, balatong means monggo, damulag means big something, etc). Ebun means egg! That i certainly know! I had a little kapampangan backgroud during childhood. T'was fun.
Im quite hesitant before to enter mangan, specially when im budget-conscious. I thought it was really a high-end kind of restaurant; must say with the interiors and all. It was a misconception. Foods were cheaper than other (perhaps all) filipino restaurants that we've tried.... (I will tell how much soon). not compromising the taste. In fact, i loved the foods.
We ordered 3 cups of rice, sarsiadong tilapia (which my dad perfected and i missed it), kare-kare (my mom 's definite choice) and pinakbet (my healthier pick).
Plus! Ubas shake for my take-out.
Plus! Burong mustasa for my dad (i dont know how the hell it tastes, but he loves it so much)
We had a bill of surprisingly less than a thousand with a complimentary camote chips which my mom looted, all the left-over and take-outs.
No service charge and the servers were very accommodating and attentive. Good job!

mangan bulalo is the best for me, i remember when my cousin treat me before and that time it was raining. so we decided to eat mangan glorieta, and receptionist gave the flyers to me, and i choose bulalo... i taste it... it so delicious..
kare-kare ng mangan is one of my favorite, ewan ba parang sa lahat ng natikman ko ung kare -kare nila ang nagustuhan ko dahil lasap na lasap ang ground peanuts kaya try nyo din po. :)
been to mangan restaurant last night.. and it is simply awesome.. eating here gives you the feeling of home but in a different level .. the price is just right for the wonderful experience

Feels homey here...Times like these when we're kinda stressed from work we find silace in their menus..just like now - crispy tawilis, pinakbet, sisig & fruit pearl shakes for chillers!☺ So c'mon mangan 'ta????
Authentic Kapampangan food. I felt I was back in a Pampanga restaurant.
I always get their sisig because it is authentic. I don't know how the Dencio's and their like managed to hijack sisig and make it crispy. Pampanga sisig IS NOT CRISPY.
My Kapampangan friend always gets Tapang Damulag and swears this is how its done in their home.
Another place that serves authentic sisig in Metro Manila is Trellis.
As the season is approaching, and tired of the window shopping we manage to have a lunch at Mangan Restaurant. Kare-kare 360.00 Steamed rice 31.00 Tofu Sisig 100.00 Watermelon Shake 80.00. Food is served 10-15min. from the time we ordered which we think is standard.
Food was great, Flavorful! And a go to resto if you dont have any resto in mind, and confused what to eat. Hunger satisfied.
Loved the Pritong Paborito Platter!
Been wanting to visit this resto for some time so it was a good thing my friends got together one Saturday lunch. A major factor we chose this place was that it was the only one which had a big enough table to seat us (7 adults and 2 kids).
We ordered Sinigang na Babi sa Sampalok, Kare Kare and the Pritong Paborito Platter plus 3 kinds of rice (Plain, Tinapa and Salted Egg with tomatoes). For drinks, we had Gulaman at Sago, unlimited iced tea and the ginger hot tea (refreshing altho a bit strong).
The food: delicious and comforting. Just like home.
The service: wait staff were attentive for the most part altho we had to catch their attention sometimes to get refills for our iced tea and water.
The price: worth the taste.
This is one resto to come back to for good old pinoy food. Must visit again to try rhe other dishes!
