Food is delicious with great salad options, a good mix of what is familiar growing up like callos, stroganoff arroz a la Cubana and new stuff. Tilde has great breads and house jams and marmalade too! Perfectly sweet! Desserts are just divine: Pistachio Sansrival, Turtle Pie, Olive Cake, and the best Apple Pie! The environment is friendly too, a great place to spend a meal with family or to just be alone and get some work done
I've been intrigued by the camote pandesal, and I finally got to drop by earlier today and get me some. I thoroughly enjoyed them! I hope to dine in one of these days and sample the coffee, too.
Ordered the French Toast and it was super good! Considering it worth the price. My friends ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and according to them, it was really good, too.
Only sad thing about this place is that it closes at 7pm. But this is probably the best Cafe to hangout in Poblacion.
We visited this cute and cozy cafe on a rainy day so it was a wonderful time to just relax here. I had the Bacon Bolognese which was good and they had big servings as well. The bread that came with it was wonderful. The sour dough bread here is good! They're actually famous for their sour dough bread. 😍
My fave snack here though was the one with the home made sausage and the brioche toast. The brioche toast was great! Plus the home made syrup that came with it was fantastic! The home made sausage was just 💕💕💕
A wonderful place to chill out and savour their fare. Owners are extremely friendly and engaging. Have included Tilde as one our go-to places to meet friends.
I love the ambience of Tilde’s Cafe. It looks so cozy and quiet. It’s good place to study or meet friends. I ordered Cappuccino cafe in hot. The cafe staff asked us to try some cookies including sesame cookies, butter and chocolate. So nice of them! Was able to try their turtle pie too!
Diverse menu- whether I'm craving a caesar salad or squid ink pancit it's got classics and twists on local and western fare. Consistent quality. Good environment for individual work, group meetings, or just hanging out to see who passes through from the cast of neighborhood creatives.
This has to be your must-visit cafe in Poblacion! Everything is made in house or sourced from handpicked locations. They take real care and pride in what they serve.
Tilde Salad was awesome - greens, beet, pickled carrots, walnuts in raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Quality ingredients and lovingly put together.
Smooth Siphon Coffee - one of the best blends I've had with bold aroma and smooth taste. The beans are sourced from Bukidnon.
Kimchi Reuben Sandwich - shredded corned beef, kimchi, pears and melted cheese in home baked sourdough. Comes with a side of salad and fries. This could be my ideal lunch. Nice blend of flavors with the spiciness of kimchi balanced with sweet pear.
Also picked up a can of excellent Salabat cookies. Very crispy, bite-sized and just the right sweetness
Turtle Pie - amazing chocolatey taste with pecans.
How about breakfast at Tilde? I loved the wagyu tapa and their take on the "sausage mcmuffin" is inventively delicious. The place is normally quiet and perfect for a solo diner. Don't forget to take home their cookies -- the mango shortbread is addictive!
I decided to try the CHICKEN SANDWICH. It was just okay, the chicken filling was cold and had way too much mayonnaise. I'll try the sourdough bread next time and the Apple Pie.
Also, since we're still waiting for Holy Smokes to open, we tried the other types of cake and cookies available:
- Turtle Pie: so good! I cannot!
- EVOO cake: I didn't know they used to sell this cake in Yardstick. This is also good, not your usual cake. It may look simple and too plain but this one's refreshing and light to eat.
- Lychee cheesecake: not really a fan but Lychee lovers will surely like this one because you can really taste lychee in every bite.
- Cookies: they have salabat and champorado. Both are interestingly good but our favorite was the Cashew something. Sarap!!! :)
We also pre-ordered their "BESTSELLER" which is the CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE for an occasion and to let my family try it. I was kind of expecting a lot since the Turtle Pie was really good (like really good) but sadly, the chocolate cake wasn't that great. It was good, not too sweet which is perfect for someone who like me, doesn't like sweets! But it was not moist and there was nothing extraordinary. I guess we were all just expecting more since it's pricey for almost 1300 for a whole chocolate cake. Considering the price, I don't think it's worth it. :(
Ony also pre-ordered TURTLE PIE because he loved it too. But again.. his family did not liked it as much as we did. :(
It was another bonding session with my buddies. We decided to walk to this cafe because according to Google Maps, it was a good 8-minute walk from our 1st stop. Little did we know that it would take more than that to find this. Not sure if it was the route we took but we eventually found it. This cafe is located in the quiet and residential side of Makati. There’s a nearby school which is a good indicator that you’re near this small cafe. Its interiors were very simple. The first half seemed modern with all those chairs but at the back, that’s where it becomes a little quirky. We decided to sit at that corner since we were the only ones at that time. Some customers came but mostly to take out food. They have a lot of offers aside from their pastries which includes some cold cuts.
Tilde is one of your hole-in-the-wall coffee places with homey interiors. They have these fancy, colorful chairs but I wasn't able to get a decent photo.
I ordered a cold brew ☕ and it was okay. On the other hand, one of my friends ordered a handcrafted strawberry soda and didn't quite like it.
I also bought a jar of malted cashew cookie and it didn't disappoint. Even my parents (who hates sweets) loved it. 🍪
