I've grown up eating vietnamese food all my life. And folks, this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Manila. Clean food. Well prepared. No MSG. Proper plating. And portioning is plentiful. Since moving to the Philippines in 2012 I've been waiting for a legit Viet restaurant to open up. Legit!!!! Pricing may seem high to some, but the quality and portioning make up for it. Menu is safe though. Catered to the newbies.... but I sh*t you not.... it's legit. I'll be back to test out their banh mi... good work guys.

Their Propaganda noodle salad was good, tasty fried tofu with a great infusion of rice crispies which make the salad have a different flair. We went on a Thursday where they had a live music, however it was too loud for the small venue, that it did not fit the Vietnamese dining it wanted to impart.

Nice staff, authentic tasting pho. A bit pricey but i think it is still cheaper than going to vietnam to have a taste of authentic vietnamese pho. Their beef salad is so good and it is big enough for 2-3 persons.

I loved their chicken pho! Broth was flavourful and fresh, perfect with just a tiny dash of sriracha if you like it spicy 👌

It is a little bit on the expensive side though, ordered just chicken pho and lemongrass iced tea and it was close to 600 for lunch for one person. I would still come back for the pho though!

It's a good option for a Vietnamese food fix in the Greenbelt area. Prices are a bit higher higher than it's competitor but food quality is good. Their chicken wings glazed with fish sauce is a must try!

While looking for a place to eat at lunch time, we passed by this place. The place looked intriguing and inviting what with its colorful, artsy ambiance.
Checked zomato for the best sellers and we ordered the Beef pho and it was d-bomb. It was light, tasteful and good for sharing. However it’s a bit expensive for a bowl. Also ordered the crunchy rice chicken with egg. It was fulfilling, amazing that it was crunchy.
We ended up our lunch with the famous home-made dark chocolate with banana fritters. You should definitely order it for the experience.
Will definitely come back to try other dishes next time!

Ayaw ng Pinoy ng tutong na kanin. Gusto nila yung malambot, malagkit, at mamasa-masa pa. Am I right.

But toasted rice is a delicacy in many cultures. The crusty part that sticks to the bottom of the pan in paella, bibimbap, shirin polow, etc., is prized and fought over. I personally love its texture and depth of flavor.

I also love the crunchy tri-colored claypot rice at Propaganda. You can say I’m obsessed, as I’ve been daydreaming about it since dining there last Sunday, reliving how each perfectly separate grain popped in my mouth. It’s like a rustic, yet more elegant fried rice. Simple, yet complex. It’s about texture, texture, texture.

The sticky rice with mango was also wonderful, not too sweet, with generous shavings of fresh coconut.

Service was uneven, though. Some of the staff couldn’t have been more solicitous and warm. Some looked bored, even put-upon. Would’ve liked to give this place 5 stars.

Went here with my colleagues. 💯 Service 💯 ambience 💯 food! I like very few Vietnamese restos, and this one was a surprise. Tastes great, it’s decently priced for the amount of the serving size. The staff was also VERY attentive, I was super impressed. Hope to see more branches with the SAME service and food quantity and quality.

My husband and I ordered the beef pho, pork banh mi and shrimp spring rolls. Clean and fresh taste! So delicious!! A little bit pricey that ranges from 250–480 pesos but the serving was very generous. Will recommend and come back back again!

This bun rice noodle salad has become my favorite. I love how the combination of variant toppings create a unique taste textures. The grilled chicken, crunchy spring roll, and ground peanuts blended perfectly with the special ginger sauce, giving it a distinct Vietnamese flavor.

Truly a must-try and great service as well.

My friend and I ate at Propaganda because it was the only place in greenbelt we could get a seat during Valentine's dinnertime. We were not disappointed.

I had the beef pho. At 450 I think it's a little overpriced, but it was pretty good and filling. Just a tad too sweet in my opinion.
My friend had the banh mi. I wasn't able to try it but she said she was pretty happy with it.

The interiors were cute and servers were attentive.

I was fairly and pleasantly surprised by how good the food and service were! A quick glance at the place while I was passing by and I was intrigued. The interiors were very inviting, and their dishes proved to be superb, authentic, and just as colorful.

My friend and I chose to have classics such as Banh Mi, Pho, and Spring Rolls so we’d get to know how serious they were about serving good Vietnamese. Let me tell you, we were so satisfied—zesty, spicy, fresh and hearty in servings that don’t disappoint!

They’re a bit on the pricier end though, especially compared to its competitors, but surely worth a visit. 🤙

Everytime I go around Greenbelt, I always manage to see this restaurant. I have been seeing it also on Instagram, and yes, I was drooling over their dishes. Who doesn’t like Vietnamese Food? Since I just got off from my spinning class, it was the perfect excuse to indulge a little that night. 🙂

The Spring Rolls we had (with prawns) was fresh and came with mild soy sauce. It was good, but not the best that I had. Then I had salad with grilled chicken because I didn’t want to become full for dinner. But I didn’t get to finish my plate! The serving size is generous.

My brothers had a banh mi and a tri colored rice. The rice was flavorful and had a wonderful variety of taste.

For the three of us, we spent around P1,500. Not bad. I would come back.

I didn’t get to have proper dinner here and just ordered Fresh Spring Rolls and Carrot, orange, and apple juice. Both are just okay. The spring rolls though comes with soya sauce instead of the usual peanut sauce. I guess it’s the peanut sauce that I really miss.

Born out of a desire to “propagate” delicious Vietnamese home cooking, relaxing ambiance, and locally-sourced art designs, this lovely, unpretentious dining spot serves flavorful Vietnamese food prepared with the freshest ingredients!
Outside this Vietnamese bistro is a friendly staff greeting diners a warm welcome. At times, her job is to ask you if you're willing to wait. "You're number seven," the staff told us the first time we came around. That's to say this place has a tendency to be packed during dining rush hours...

We dined at the Propaganda Bistro as part of the busy lunch rush. As we were shown to our table, the restaurant was alive with the sounds of utensils, laughter, and conversation. There were painted murals on the walls of the restaurant. The energy of the crowd and staff seemed to bring these murals to life.

There was bar seating where you could knock back a cocktail during happy hour and outdoor seating to enjoy your meal during a cool evening.

After glancing through the menu, we decided to order the Fresh Prawn Spring Rolls, Beef Pho, Pâté Banh Mi, and Mint Cacao Kiss to wash it down. The entire meal for two cost us Php1540 (including service charge).

With every bite of the prawn roll, you can definitely taste the freshness of the vegetables used. While in this day, frying food saves time, the crispness of breading will never stand up to the crunch of fresh vegetables. These rolls were served with a dipping sauce made of fish sauce, chilis, and other herbs. Dipping the rolls in the sauce resulted in a unique mouthfeel that combined the beautiful crunch brought about by the fresh carrots and cabbage, and the delicate sweetness that came with the dipping sauce.

When it came to the beef pho, the presentation was simple but delicious to look at. Comparing pho from other restaurants, this take on the traditional Vietnamese noodle soup was simpler with only the noodles, beef chunks and the traditional herbs served with pho. It was lacking the meatballs and tripe that the other pho places have. But what this pho lacked in variety, it made up for in quality. The broth was rich and delicious. It needed no additional hoisin sauce or Sriracha. The beef chunks were very tender and bursting with flavour. When it came to serving size, one bowl can serve as the main meal, but if split in 2, the pho can be a good accompaniment to another main course.

Since Vietnam was a colony of France, it was known for making delicious baguettes. A Vietnamese sandwich made from a baguette is called a Banh. Propaganda has a variety of banh mis but we tried the pâté banh mi. The sandwich had shredded pork floss, fresh vegetables, a flavourful pâté spread, and some shredded meat. The first bite was amazing. It was delicious and all the fillings came together in perfect harmony. The bread was crispy and not made soggy by the filling while the vegetables were a good crisp contrast to the tenderness of the meat and the richness of the pâté. This is definitely something to come back to.

A unique choice from their menu of blended juices was the mint cacao kiss. It's a guilt-free blend of banana, cacao, fresh mint, cashew milk, and honey. The first sip is definitely interesting. You have to take a moment to process the different tastes like the sweetness of the honey, the richness of the cacao, and the subtlety of the mint after taste. All in all, this blended drink is greater than the sum of its parts. It is equally complex, delicious, and refreshing.

Our rating for the Propaganda is 4 out of 5 stars. Our experience is overwhelmingly positive, and the points for improvement are quite minor. There are two points where we think Propaganda can improve on. First would be to shut out the natural light coming from the doors leading to the outdoor area as the natural light contrasts with the overall theme and indoor lighting of the restaurant. Secondly would be the lack of visual guides on the menu. While the descriptions of each dish were very helpful, it would be a lot easier to have a general idea of how the dish looked before we ordered, that way you can gauge serving size (in case of split orders or sharing), and overall visual impact.

Overall, Propaganda is a cozy place that combines colourful decorations and delicious food to take you away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Not only that, the freshness of the food gives a necessary break from the instant and fast food dominated society our generation is used to. The people who attended to us have very good knowledge of their menu and were able to give appropriate recommendations. The staff is friendly and very easy to talk to.

The food we tried was just the tip of the iceberg and Propaganda presented all of our favourites from Vietnamese cuisine, like the pho, the rolls, and the banh mi in a way that was different yet delicious. They have another section they’re looking to promote for rice bowls. They definitely look interesting and colourful and we’ll definitely come back for more.

We were craving for Vietnamese so our family/group of 8 gave this one a try. The interiors are nice and the staff are nice and courteous. The servings were big enough for sharing but i find the prices a bit steep esp if only 2 people will be dining and you are the type who needs to try more than one dish. But overall, we enjoyed dining here.

Here are the dishes we tried (* are those we enjoyed most) that i remember:
Chicken pho *
Beef pho
Bbq chicken tri-coloured rice bowl *
Bbq pork tri-coloured rice bowl *
Edamame salad *
Fresh prawn spring roll - (enjoyed the least)
Fried spring roll - (enjoyed the least)
Bbq beef salad
Bbq honey pork chop broken rice

For drinks i ordered the
Ca phe sua da * (strong but good). Everyone else ordered other drinks which they seemed to enjoy.

Will definitely try it again BUT only if i have a craving for those flavors and texture.

Vietnamese food has been a cuisine I love due to it’s bold flavors and original taste. Decided to try Propaganda Bistro since I was craving for a good bowl of Pho and a Banh Mi. The beef Pho was good. The broth was smooth and flavorful, the meat was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The Banh Mi was a good size and flavorful as well, but I wished there was for meat. The ambiance is beautiful. It really takes you back to Vietnam with that modern vibe. Service was great.

Refreshing and vibrant Vietnamese cuisine - woefully underrepresented in Metro Manila - in a beautiful, bright space. And with friendly and helpful staff, also, which is even rarer. Seriously, these waiters and waitresses rival those in a lot of fine dining restaurants in terms of class and product knowledge. Save some space for dessert, though that may be tough with all the great food on parade; that soursop ice cream is homey, chunky excellence.

I haven’t been to a Vietnamese restaurant ever since my first ever ever experience convinced me that this isn’t a cuisine that’s cut out for me. But the increasing obsession for phos and banh mis made the curious foodie in me give it another go with the newest Vietnamese restaurant in town. . Propaganda Bistro is a restaurant fresh from Saigon, whose mission is to challenge Filipinos’ familiarity with the Vietnamese cuisine. With the restaurant’s artsy interiors, and the use of fresh ingredients to put a modern flare into your traditional Vietnamese favorites, Propaganda Bistro promises an authentic experience that goes a lot more than just dining.

From the team who introduced Ramen Nagi, Tendon Akimitsu and Fat Fook in the Philipines here comes another international franchised from Vietnam called Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro. Propaganda was originally established in Saigon, the first branch in the Philippines is located at the 2nd level of Greenbelt 5, Makati. The restaurant offers a modern approach on Vietnamese cuisine.

During the launch, we were able to try 9 bestsellers of Propaganda:

🇻🇳 Fresh Prawn Spring Rolls for Php330.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“With Julienne vegetables, rice noodles & coriander fish sauce”

🇻🇳 Propaganda Edamame Salad for Php350.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“With organic black rice, home-made
citrus-soy tofu & dried baby tomatoes”

🇻🇳 Pate Bahn Mi for Php300.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“With braised pork and floss, cilantro, pickled veggies & chili mayo”

🇻🇳 Propaganda Bun for Php250.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“With home-made lightly fried egg tofu & special ginger, chili and peanut crunchy topping”

🇻🇳 Chicken Pho for Php450.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“With chicken & Vietnamese herbs”

🇻🇳 Hue Rice Noodles Soup for Php450.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“With beef, fresh greens & bean sprouts”

🇻🇳 Crunchy Tri-coloured Rice Bowl for Php350.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
“With barbecue chicken, vegetables and egg”

🇻🇳 Home-made frozen banana and coconut bar for Php150.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5
“With crushed peanut topping”

🇻🇳 Home-made soursop & palm sugar ice-cream for 170.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

My personal favorites are Propaganda Edamame Salad, Chicken Pho and Crunchy Tri-coloured Rice Bowl. Not to mentioned, I also like their version of Ice Lemongrass Tea, sugar syrup at the side and Ca Phe Sua Da or Iced Vietnamese Coffee especially pairing with the pho and rice bowl.

Aside from instagrammable and colorful interior of Propaganda Vietnamese Bistro; and excellent service... good thing that we consumed the food while it’s still hot. That’s why we really like the dishes they served during the launch. Taste so good! 😋

Was excited to find out that, the same restaurant we loved in Ho Chi Minh, had a branch at Greenbelt.
It’s been tough finding Bahn Mi in Manila, even with all the new ones supposedly specializing in it, because good baguette is hard to find.

Here at Propaganda, theirs was just as good as the one in Vietnam, and dare I say, the consistency of their fries were even better here in Manila :)

I was really happy with all my orders- from the iced coffee with no sugar and the cold red bean soup with coconut cream and shreds.

The service was excellent too. I hope more diners start posting their experiences here because this place really is a gem in Greenbelt.

I can’t wait to come back and order some of their cold pressed fruit juices and noodle bowls :)

We went for lunch on a weekday - the dining area was about three quarters full stop no problem getting seated.

Service was prompt and efficient, and the staff seemed to be constantly attending to customers - for a relatively new restaurant, they seemed well organised.

I ordered the bbq pork banh mi and my partner ordered a cracked rice and chicken dish.

My banh mi was served with British style chips which seemed an odd accompaniment to me, but that aside, they were probably the best chips I have eaten in the 5 years I have lived in the Philippines. They were hot from the fryer, fat, crisp on the outside and fluffy and soft inside - almost faultless.

The banh mi was also very good. The pate was a little underwhelming, but the pork was nice and flavoursome, the pickles sharp and crunchy with just the right amount of tangy fish sauce.

My partner's dish was served in a clay pot with a fried egg in top. This dish was not so great - a bit dry, not so full of flavour and a bit confused as to what it was meant to be.

The calamansi iced tea was not great - possibly the taste was affected by the insistence on Greenbelt establishments to use those awful card straws. By all means take steps to reduce plastics, but your answer to the problem by using these card straws that taint the drink and leave a bad taste in your mouth from the very first sip is not the correct response.

Price wise, it seemed a bit on the pricy side, but it is in a high rent location so I guess that is to be expected.

Pop art is the first impression you’d have when you step into this restaurant. They really paid attention to detail from their wall murals, stained glass kitchen window and table napkins. To be honest I am a huge fan of traditional Vietnamese food and was quite surprised by their food offerings, which were unique and modern. I never imagined my banhmi with fries actually. Food rating: pho is superb, banhmi needs to be more savory maybe your pate and cilantro portions are lacking; the spring rolls were nice. Customer service very excellent. Overall I will recommend this bistro (although a bit pricey) and before I forget their buy 1 take 1 Engkanto craft beer is a huge bonus :) cheers!
