What we had:
Mascarpone Cheesecake
Grilled Porkchop House
50/50 Meatloaf
Potato Salad
Slow Roasted U.S. Choice Brisket Platter
Red Sangria Glass
What we liked:
The mascarpone cheesecake is a perfect appetizer, and I wish it came with more bread. The 50/50 meatloaf and the brisket platter go together, served with a good glass of wine and beer. I've tried the meatloaf when they used to have a branch in Megamall, and is my favorite dish in Fireside. I must say they have been consistent with the taste and quality, and it continues to stand out. Lastly, the side dishes were all very good as well.
I just keep coming back. I love their Chicken strips with corn bread. The gravy and maple syrup goes well with both. The grilled porkchop is a must too! 😍

The place is at the side of the mall so you may not notice it at first. Highlight for me is their crispy chicken fingers with donuts. They serve this with honey which I find is a good mix of flavors. Order a side of donuts to get that craving satisfied!
I’m under the weather, been so since a lil after Christmas... my New Years resolution is to not cook when I’ve got the flu, well not really, but I’ll frame it that way for the next few days.
I live across the street in the friendly neighborhood/Barangay of Rockwell... so I thought, I’m from the southeast us, Chick fil a/ Waffle House, southern comfort food culture... let’s give fireside a whirl.
Had the chicken tenders. They were good, crisp outside, succulent within, juicy. Along the pepper, garlic, and maybe basil, other spices mixed well.
It was very good nonetheless. I’m impressed.
I’m a paleo nutrition guy, so waffles/doughnuts/grain.., won’t do.
Grilled vegetables were on point.
Tasty comfort Tenders, attentive service.
I’ll be back, even when I’m full health and can fire up the stove or grill.
Good experience.

As the fam was spending Christmas Day with the in-laws, we decided to hie ourselves off to the Rockwell Powerplant Mall for lunch and a bit of holiday window-shopping. Most of us are confirmed carnivores so it’s not really surprising that we gravitated towards the hearty grilled meats and All-American dishes offered by the Fireside by Kettle branch located at the outer premises of the mall.
Although the menu is a bit limited, the food was great and the pricing is quite fair considering the generous serving size of food. Food was served fast and waiters were attentive and friendly.

Update:
Fireside in Power Plant is back on the free Eatigo app. I dined here again today and got 50% off our total bill by reserving thru the app at 3pm for the 50% discount slot on food (only) bill. Minimum discount is 10% usually during peak hours and maximum of half off.
If you’re registering in Eatigo for the first time, you can input my referral code EatigoRia so you can get extra points which you can redeem for vouchers to be used in future visits too.
Earlier today we had 2 plates of Caesar Salad with bacon slab, Chorizo Meatballs, Brisket Sisig and Hot Crab & Artichole Dip with nachos. Everything was delicious and we only paid ₱700+ instead ₱1,500 thanks to the Eatigo app.
Original:
I like the food here as much as I like their “sibling,” Kettle. They have some similar dishes too. I noticed how I like ordering appetizers and small plates more than the mains though. I have a bit of a long list of go-to’s or favorites as I like to switch it up depending on the mood so bear with me but at least you’ve got more suggestions of dishes to order when you’re in a big group. I suggest you go during off peak hours or reserve ahead just in case because the place is not too big. There is outside seating too but uncomfortable if weather is hot.
So here goes:
1. Truffle potato chips (because hello, truffle!)
2. Smoked mac n’ cheese with bacon (small serving)
3. Brisket sisig (also small serving)
4. Chorizo meatballs
5. Caesar Salad with bacon slab
6. Main: Buttermilk fried chicken fingers with cornbread doughnuts (a must!)
7. Bacon slabs (they’re actually sides but I consider them an actual dish, all I need is rice or a pasta)
8. Speaking of pasta, I like white sauce and their Chicken Alfredo is good
9. For dips: definitely the Hot Crab & Artichoke dip and runner up would the Mascarpone Cheesecake dip
I know it’s pretty long but that’s not even half of their offerings, they’ve got lots more to choose from. And because I order lots of small plates, I’m always too full to order desserts so can’t help you in that area (i.e. don’t know what’s good or if they are any good at all).
Had very tough day at work and since its my RD, im looking for some good place to chill until i found fireside while roaming around rockwell.
Had iced latte partnered with banana creme brulee for breakfast and it was so good !
The place is cool and very unique as well as the AC i like the cold temperature best place to have coffee and chill while watching netflix 😋
I read the reviews here before dining and although there's a high rating, there were mixed reviews. However, I think we had good choices because everything we ordered was really good.
Truffle Chips and Dip - 🧡🧡🧡
The chips are crispy and thin but we don't taste any truffle at all. Maybe the sour cream and cheeses were too overpowering. Would suggest separating the chips and dip next time.
Caesar Salad - 🧡🧡🧡
Not a fan of salad but, I mean, look at the two bacon slabs in the pictures! Thick cut. However, I find the bacon slabs too salty my taste.
Chorizo Pizza - 🧡🧡🧡🧡
Thin crust, oozing cheese, chorizo, and sausage, what's not to love? Pretty standard and ordinary but good.
Slow roast brisket - 🧡🧡🧡🧡
This one hits the spot! It's fork-tender, and really thin, kind of like Lengua. The gravy is good too. What killed it (hence resulted the minus 1 star) was the macaroni. I thought at first it was mac and cheese, but it's like tuna macaroni salad. For me, it killed the dish since it was so out of place. Nonetheless, good brisket.
Buttermilk chicken tenders and cornbread - 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
This one was my favorite! And pushed my rating up. Knowing me, I don't like bones in my chicken so that's a plus. But the star of the dish, was the cornbread. It's reminiscent of like pancake balls and Kenny's corn muffins. You could really see corn bits too! With the maple syrup, these golden brown balls are perfection! It's sweet, a bit creamy, and savory because of the corn.
Hack: Chicken tenders taste better with the maple syrup (because the spices in the chicken are salty and spicy)! I hardly touched our gravy.
Overall experience is great, food is great. Will definitely come back for the tenders
Food:
I'm so in love with their Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Corn Bread..so crisp and juicy.
The Hot Cut Pork Chop is also great. Love the texture and the side dishes.
The different sauces that comes with the potato chips really complements the chips.
The 50/50 Meat Loaf..I don't like it as much as the others but still a must try.
Price:
The dishes might be expensive for a single serving, but it's worth it...you will not have any regrets. Better order different dishes like us so you could share and taste all.
Ambience:
Cozy and a good place to talk while eating with your friends.
Staff:
Very accommodating.
